Great little place after they were rude to us at the crown inn and obviously didn't want our custom. What a lovely experience for our party of 10 ordered a few rounds of drinks and some chips for the kids and just enjoyed the lovely sunshine outside in the beer garden. Highly recommend.

I went to this place with my family. When we arrived, the staff were very polite and gave us drinks and a menu. It only took a few minutes to get our order and the food was delicious. I had a margarita pizza and it was amazing. The crust was well cooked and the cheese was soft and stretchy. We also got a starter of halloumi, which was a great snack before our meal. The halloumi was pretty well cooked, with a crispy outside and a soft inside. The chips were amazing too, as they were nice and soft with salt. We all left happy and full. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We went here for the other half’s 24th Birthday a month ago. Firstly I have to say the staff were amazing! Friendly and very welcoming! 10/10! Next the food was delicious! The chief clearly made sure everything was done to perfection! Came out hot. Fresh and so in turn we made sure it was fully finished off! So good 10/10! The staff even came out to sing happy birthday!

Ordered 2 bowls of chips which were absolutely disgusting. We asked to send them back but the chef said it was a high water content potato that caused the soggy grease laden chips. Surely as a chef he should know the best type of potatoes for chips. Never again.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here with my family. Nice roast selection which they will also scale down for kids. Very broad menu, lovely friendly service.

A surprise Sunday Lunch! A family trip on the Spa Valley railway was just going to be a trip up and down the Railway with a maybe a coffee at the return Station. However, the weather was changeable and raining at the end point, so we headed back into the sun and alighted at Groombridge for a coffee. We discovered the next train was not for 90 mins so we took a short walk from the station and soon stumbled across the Junction Inn Pub. It was now past 12:00 so we considered lunch. We stat down, perused an comprehensive menu and ordered lunch. Most of us had the Sunday roast, with Chicken and beef being the options. Our party divided equally into the two options. The food arrived within 20mins and the portions were huge. My generous beef portion was perfectly cooked to medium rare and had plenty of veg, gravy, potatoes and proper Yorkshire pudding. The chicken was basically an ½ a chicken again served with all the trimmings. Everything was very tasty and hot too. The atmosphere in the pub was relaxed and welcoming. There were plenty of reserved tables demonstrating this is a popular Sunday lunch venue, and justifiably so. So an unexpected pleasure and discovery.

Met a friend for a walk and stopped for a drink. Lovely place. Would of liked to have some food but we were short on time. Highly recommend stopping for a walk and popping into the junction.

I don't think I've ever waited so long for food in my life. It was crazy. I'm afraid the food wasn't worth the wait. And when it did come, none of it came at the same time, so half of us had finished before the next plates came out.

Great service and food but they are rarely open. Usually all closed up whenever I trundle down there, make sure you know they are open before booking.

Great pub, we visited for lunch while doing the Spa Valley Railway. Simple but tasty menu, great service from the team, my California burger was delicious and my wife's Carrot soup with homemade bread was "gourmet". 5 mins walk from the Groombridge rail station.

Taken out to lunch for Mother’s Day. The lamb roast was excellent and the staff very friendly. They were extremely busy but still gave good service. Will certainly return.

Good pub for a meal. Went there last Sunday. Staff friendly and attentive. Foods really good. If I were to be really picky, I'd say maybe their menu could be a bit more varied (lots of pizzas).

A pleasant welcome but the pub was cold when we arrived at around 12.30pm although the heating was then turned on. A fairly restricted menu but the food was well cooked and presented. Very limited parking on site

Stopped for Sunday lunch. For £20 the beef was terrible quality. You can't cook cheap beef rare and expect it to be a pleasant experience. Yorkshire puddings were not great either. Vegetables were cooked ok. I was offered a free drink but this was right at the end of my meal and I didn't need another. Staff were friendly but quality is lacking in the kitchen.

Roast dinner - poor. Very low quality meat being used and took a long time to be served. Dirty glasses being used and had to ask for them to be changed. Nice country pub, however I feel they are depending on the location/tourists visiting the area as overall its disappointing. Pub needs a bit of TLC and a bit more care into the food quality.

Pleasant local pub with lots going on. Really good menu with high quality ingredients. This pub caters to tourists from the preserved railway but also needs to keep a customer base from the surrounding village. Overall a nice place for soup and a pint

Had the hanger steak and it was spot on. Very well cooked and surprisingly cheap. Will definitely come back. Went at lunchtime and we were the only people there eating.

Popped in for food on bank holiday Monday, but the pub was only serving pizzas. We had a drink anyway. £14 for a small glass of mediocre house wine, and a pint of Harveys in a dirty glass seemed rather unreasonable to us. Not impressed.

Sunday lunch at The Junction is really good although the service is a bit slow and it is a little maddening when not everyone's food in a party arrives at the same time. The Junction has a good selection of beers and ales and they are well presented and pub takes credit cards.

We had a fantastic lunch at The Junction Inn today. We all found that the food was excellent! Lovely location in Groombridge, opposite the cricket pitch, so we could watch them playing from the pub. It is very reasonably priced for such great quality food. Well worth a visit!

Very nice place . Good service. Good food. Reasonable prices. My steak was superb. Seating either in or outside. Very relaxed atmosphere. My wife had a chicken burger.

Stopped for coffee friendly place

I had steak on a base of spinach with chimichurri sauce, petit tomatoes on a side, fries a glass of red wine and coffee at the end. Staff nice and professional food on time, well presented and very tasty.

Hamburgers and pizza both very good. Excellent service despite being very busy.

We made a pitstop at the Junction Inn during our trip on the Spa Valley Railway and let me tell you, it was a stroke of luck that we were able to snag one of the last available tables. And what a lucky break it was! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere was cozy and quirky, and the food was nothing short of amazing. We were anticipating typical pub food, but the dishes we had were top-notch, both in taste and presentation. The spicy cod burger had the perfect amount of heat, the minted peas with the fish and chips were a refreshing twist, and the chicken burger was grilled to perfection. It may be a bit pricier than other options, but it's worth every penny! I would highly recommend booking in advance if you're looking to enjoy a meal here during your steam train experience.

Visited today for Sunday lunch, friendly welcome, good varied menu for lunch. We had a mix of roasts, pizza and veggie and all of us were very happy with our choice. Would recommend 👍

Nice drop in for a mulled wine and beer. Pizza want bad either although could do with more flavour. Desert was great

£70 later (3 people, 1 course/1 drink pp): food was cold, roast dinners were a mix of half-cooked hard vegetables, chewy cheap meats, and dry over-cooked potatoes/Yorkshires. No seasonings or flavor - had to ask twice for salt/pepper. Waitress didn’t know what aioli is…no prob, just ask instead of leaving me with a dry burger without any sauce. Plates were cold (/room was cold). Had to ask 3x and go to the bar for a glass of water. Terrible service. Bad all round, best avoided.

What fantastic staff. We had a wonderful experience in this pub on a terrible night. We were stranded due to the snow. The staff couldn’t have helped us and LOADS of other people. They helped us with accommodation and made loads of calls for us. What a beautiful warm pub. A real feeling of cameradery was fantastic. Highly recommend

All staff are very friendly and their food is excellent, especially their pizzas and burgers. They have recently added new items to the menu also which are also great! Its great for any occasion whether that be couples, small groups big groups or families. They are also a dog friendly pub too with snacks on the bar.

Popped in for some supper on Friday evening, great atmosphere, packed with locals and visitors to the village, the staff Chris, Ben and the waitress were brilliant. Great beer and food; we had a perfect pizza and a junction burger which was amazing. Will 100% be back!

We stopped here for a lunch and I have to say this is a nice place to visit. The staff were friendly enough and the atmosphere was that of a country pub that you'd expect. The food arrived in good time and was well presented, it tasted really nice and as pub grub goes it's up there with some of the nicest we've had. The only reason for losing a star was that we felt that the food was a touch pricey, other than that well worth a visit.

Really lovely pub with friendly young staff, great food and good prices. There's a nice play area for kids in the back garden area and seating is available out front, out back and inside. While the building itself is a bit older, it all adds to the charm rather than detracts from it. If you're out on a Spa Valley railway day, this is a perfect pub is stop at Groombridge for some food!

Love it here usually but no Sunday roasts when we were there last . Table was booked so very disappointed .

Fantastic and very friendly staff (I can't remember the blonde lady's name who served us but she was super helpful and moved us to a more shaded table). We were able to order drinks and food and it was served really quickly. The menu has a nice range of food for different tastes with lots of indoor and outdoor tables. Small play area for children too. We'll certainly be going back very soon.

Uriger Pup, Fisch und Chips leider nicht gut. Irgendwie hat der Fisch nach nichts geschmeckt. Ich habe auch noch nie Rechteckige Fische gesehen. Da weiß man wo der Fisch herkommt. Ich hatte in den letzten 2 Wochen keinen schlechteren. Sorry aber damit könnt ihr nicht Punkten. Alles andere war super, Service war super nett.

What a lovely find. Lovely accommodating staff, lovely atmosphere and superb food. We will be back. We stopped off on our trip along The Spa Valley Railway for a birthday meal for my husband. It could not have gone better. The staff were so friendly and the food would not have been bettered in a top class restaurant. We were very impressed and happy with our choice of venue. The staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic! I think the pub is under new management as the menu has changed dramatically and I will certainly be visiting again to try other items on the extensive menu.

The pubs lovely, it's got outside seating, and a nice inside space. Hot chocolates were delicious, beers were quite pricey, food was delicious, we had a few snacky bits and were full! Great pub, would definitely visit again.

Our first impression of the menu was that it is expensive. We ordered Garlic Bread and Loaded chips and were impressed when they came - large portions and delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our visit and thought it good value.

Clearly under new ownership the pub is looking great. A choice of 3 ales, 2 local the other Harvey's. Food was to an excellent standard.

This is a superb pub! The owners have done a great job of the outside area.. Very cosy and well lit. The staff are amazing here, all very on it and super friendly. Food is superb, go for the Charcuterie board to share.. Wonderful. We were on holiday for a week in this area and came to this pub twice. Brilliant.. 5*

Excellent food and the service from the young ladies was what made this visit brilliant, they were so helpful and friendly.

Stopped here for lunch on a cycle ride. Fantastic food and the staff great company as well as first class service. Thoroughly recommend and will be back soon, rain or shine...

Hopped off at Groombridge station for a wander round and was met almost immediately with The Junction Inn, looked nice from the outside so we thought we'd stop in for a pint or two before we had to get back to the station. Only had time for a pint and the loaded chips unfortunately, but staff were very accommodating and brought it out quickly for us. Very cheesy which is just what my partner likes and the chips themselves were done really well. Will like to come back to try the curry as I can see people have said it is good.

Although I really liked previous landlord the current team have made a nice job of getting the pub back open. Food looked to be very good quality(I’ve yet to eat there myself). Service is excellent in current COVID period. Nice gravel area to sit on side of pub with a good ambience.

Nice pub, good food. Our lunch order wasn't put in to the kitchen (it was the servers first day and he made a simple mistake) and the staff were so apologetic and made sure we had nibbles and crisps until the food arrived, they really handled the situation well

Great food and efficient service

Lovely venue with a great atmosphere however, the service was poor. We waited for over an hour for food and with 3 little children it was really difficult to manage. The waitresses struggled with not just our food orders but everyone’s and numerous tables were receiving the wrong order. When the correct order finally arrived the food was mediocre and not worth the wait. It’s a shame, we had high hopes because it looks like such a lovely little pub. I imagine when they are not so rushed off their feet they probably manage better but staff can make or break an evening and unfortunately on this occasion they did the latter, we won’t be back…!!

Plenty of space in rear garden for Sunday lunch. Food good, staff friendly. Everything brought to the table, so no need to go inside if you don't want to.

We only stopped for beer on way home .Harveys was good temperature, Staff were really nice and served with a smile

I had a great time yesterday the staff are friendly and hard working. The seating is good with plenty of space I had a burger and it was good loved the chips. It was very cold but that's to be expected on an April evening

Lovely village pub with great walks. Food was lovely pub grub ie burgers, fish and chips, curry and amazing home made pizza. Great summer garden with children's play area and a nice selection of beer although beer is not cheap but then you pay to enjoy beer in such a nice setting.

The beer was very good. Hospitality was very nice. Looks a little tatty but it is a tied house so sometimes that is down to the brewery not putting enough money in. Not eaten yet but will try.

First time I'd been back there for many years. Went there for a function, and the food was very good, yet to experience their bar menu, beer excellent.
