The most amazing caring team! We have visited this place several times since. Christmas. The food is always delicious, hot and plentiful with good prices too. The landlady Judy is truly caring and goes above and beyond to make sure that her guests have whatever they need. This evening my elderly Mum had an incident which involved a call to 999, Judy dealt with the call whilst I looked after Mum. The paramedics came swiftly and fortunately Mum was ok. The paramedics were due a break so ordered some food to eat and when the takeaway arrived Judy said it was ‘on the house’. So impressed. Your whole team are a credit asking me if I was ok too. Thank you for helping us tonight during a very stressful incident. Would highly recommend this lovely place. They deserve our support .

Have not visited for a number of years but decided to give it a try for an early evening meal on Saturday evening. Wasn’t sure we would need to book for two adults and one child but glad we did because very busy on our arrival at 4.30pm. Friendly greeting and throughout all staff were attentive and cheerful. The main menu was varied with plenty of choice but we opted for dishes from the specials menu. Two very good starters of crab cakes and a mezze for one were followed by beef tacos and an outstanding sea bass dish served with a water melon and feta salad. The children’s meal was also very good, fresh and tasty.Unfortunately we were too full to sample a dessert but we will be returning in the very near future

This was our first visit to the junction, but it certainly won't be our last. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. We chose the steak and ale pie, which they proudly assured us was a good choice, and they weren't wrong. The pie was home-made, tasty and succulent, served with real chips and proper mushy peas: no packets or tins here. It wasn't the cheapest meal, but that's the price of good food, and it wasn't the dearest either. I understand you are recommended to book if you intend to visit in the later half of a week (we visited while it was quiet, on a Tuesday). I also noticed they have booked gigs now and then, also weekly quiz nights . You might want to check those out, as I aim to. Finally, a small mention of the clean toilet facilities, thoughtfully provided with little extras their customers might need.

Our first visit to the junction, and we will certainly be back. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. We ordered the steak and ale pie, which they proudly assured was a great choice, and they were not wrong. Very tasty and succulent, REAL chips and mushy peas, and delicate shortcrust pastry. Not the cheapest meal, but reasonable considering the quality of the food and service.

Our Anniversary was on 3rd January we had planned to go to The Junction and Kitchen but unfortunately we went instead to the funeral of a dear friend of many years and decided we could celebrate on the Friday. When we arrived on the Friday we had a lovely surprise Callum had decorated table 4 and put a sparkly banner up behind where we were sitting. He'd also put reserved 12noon for the love birds (we are in our seventies haha). We were so looked after by Chris and Declan in the kitchen nothing was too much trouble. I loved the soup so much that they even put some in a container in their fridge to take home when we left. Our son and granddaughter came and joined us later and were welcomed too by everyone. Can't thank the staff enough nothing is too much trouble for any of them we love them all. A great credit Judy to you and Graham. ❤️

Our first visit as a family to the Junction. It was recommended to us. First class, food and brilliant service from Callum. 50% of the fun of a meal out is the service… so rare these days to get such professional and engaged waiting staff. well done the Junction and well done Callum. We will be back.

Phoned on the 7/9/23 to book a table of 10 for 8/9/23, was asked where we’d like to be seated, we opted for the Conservatory, asked what the occasion was, said it was a Boys Birthday, on the day we were running late so phoned ahead to change the booking by 30 minutes, it was no trouble at all, when we got there the staff were very attentive and helpful, there was no rush in ordering, everyone enjoyed their food and they even provided plates for the Birthday Cake we brought, the Pub itself was busy with other people eating and regulars at the bar….

Was my wife and family’s local back in the 1970’s. Agreed to meet up for a meal with the wife’s mother and brother. Had a superb meal, efficiently served. The landlord and lady made a point of talking to customers and ensuring everything thing was to our satisfaction. A really around pleasant experience, and we’ll recommend.

A huge Thank you to all the team at the Junction. We booked for my mums 80th on arrival we were taken back by the lovely surprise that they had trimmed up. With banners balloons etc. Even a birthday card for birthday lady. Also provided a free drink for my mum. Also provided colouring books and pens for the children. Nothing was too much trouble. We asked for the children’s meals to come out with the adult starters ( still not a problem) food excellent, service, staff excellent. Would definitely recommend. And I’m sure we will be back very soon. Thank you once again to all at the junction

We were booked into this lovely eatery following a walk in the local area. We parked in their car park prior to the walk and were warmly welcomed by the owner. There were 18 of us and they reserved a room for us. The service was excellent, very friendly. The food was delicious, especially the steak and ale pie - yummy. Will definitely go back.

Wonderful pub, came for Sunday lunch today and the staff were so friendly and helpful, squeezed two more family members in when we had only booked for three. The food is delicious, best Sunday lunch in years, plenty of beef and a huge Yorkshire pudding, crisp rosemary spuds and the veg was so moreish I ate the lot, big portions too. Great real ales and a small but lovely play area outside for young ones. Full marks for food and staff friendliness.

We visited for my husbands 50th birthday family meal. The hosts, service and food was excellent and we could not of asked for a better evening. They trimmed up as a surprise for him and the attention to detail of a birthday card and a free beer, been able to play your own music made it even better. To say he did not want to celebrate I think he left feeling very happy. Everyone enjoyed their meals and nothing was too much trouble. Thankyou for making his birthday special and we will definitely be visiting again.

Being a regular local diner, enjoyed meals here both early bird and main menu on numerous occasions, always enjoyed and recommended to friends. As the only diners at lunchtime today, let down by the food, cold beef, cold half baked baguette, re heated roast potatoes advertised as chunky chips. However, 4 * to the lovely waitress who was apologetic and so lovely, and deducted cost, a credit to The Junction.

I’m so pleased that I have such a fab chippie on my doorstep! Literally the best fish n chips in Yorkshire! 😍 They do gluten free fish and cook in vegetable oil, and chips are white and batter is light and crispy, just how I like it. 😊 The staff make you feel like you’re one of the family. Super friendly, chatty and funny! Batter and banter at its finest! Thank you 🙏 A lovely Yorkshire institution with a smile, exceptional food and superb customer service Try it now!
