The Junction in Reigate and Banstead

Had a fantastic meal and experience here with my partner this evening, the best curry we’ve each had in a long time (chicken green thai and beef massaman). Can’t fault the service either, run and tended to by really lovely people.

Booked The Junction for a large group celebration for 30 people and it was fantastic. Sai was such a help in the run up to the event and very accommodating with the planned entertainment. The food was fantastic; everyone's meal was hot, delicious and plentiful and the staff were amazing. The beer downstairs was impeccable, so the chaps in our group were happy too. All in all we had a blast and were well fed and looked after. All for very reasonable £.

We had a fantastic meal at the Junction. All of our food was delicious, with generous portions and loads of really tasty vegetables! The tofu is homemade and really good. The lady who looked after us was a delight and we had a great evening. We'll be back!

Slightly late review but here it is... I have visited a few times for some after work drinks and the bar staff are super friendly. In the nice weather I have sat in the garden area out the back and the locals and returning customers along with 1st timers have all been great to the point I have made some friends along the way. Very friendly customer base.  Last night I decided to get some food and I was not disappointed. I had the spicy Thai green curry with jasmine rice, it was really good to the point I have recommended to friends and as I have just started working as hotel assistant manager in the travelodge across the road I have mentioned to any guests looking for a nice lunch or dinner this place. Unfortunately there are no disabled toilets and the toilets are up a flight of stairs, however any time I have been here the toilets have been clean and tidy. I really like that in the men's toilets there is some information on if you don't feel safe or if you have worries about mental health or anything else. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a friendly and good food pub.

Delicious Thai food, and also offers the British pub classics. The Thai restaurant is upstairs, with a nice atmosphere, and friendly and attentive waiting staff. We wanted somewhere to eat after visiting the Light Cinema, but not burger/pizza, and we were not disappointed. First visit, but it won’t be our last!

Outstanding food, drinks and service. Would highly recommend. Could not have been made to feel more welcome or looked after and everyone was very pleased with their meals.

Wonderful food and service yet again provided for our Family Reunion by Sai and Nan. We had exclusive use of the first floor restaurant (Sunday midday to early evening), buffet style Thai Food with Vegan/vegetarian options all freshly prepared and topped up as everyone throughly enjoyed the food. English food options provided for the younger children. This created an informal relaxing atmosphere for everyone to experience. Thank you.

Excellent Thai food, great service at a good price. I cannot recommend The Junction highly enough and fully endorse the other 5 star reviews of this hidden gem.

Another fantastic meal at the Junction, so delicious I didn’t want to finish it. Located on the first floor of a pub in the pedestrian part of Redhill, a stone’s throw from the train station. Exterior looks like a standard pub. Interior - a combination of different styles, spaced out tables. The food concept Asian fusion and is a single bowl for mains and the starters. Had the tofu with peanut sauce- was ok- : found the tofu rather tasteless. The venerable dumpling were rather nice. The mains of grilled chicken breast with egg rice, satay sauce was nice. Had the plum wine which was very nice. Great service.

They menu is incredibly simple. Choose your protein, choose your carbohydrate, choose your sauce. Nice and easy to tailor to your taste. The food came in a Buddha style bowl and was more than plentiful. The sauce came on the side so could add as needed. We both chose the crispy chicken. The batter was so light and crispy - it was just wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place. I can’t wait to visit again when in the area.

I visited the pub with a friend, the bar staff were friendly, the other customers friendly. We didn’t eat, just had drinks but the lager was cold and fresh. Can’t fault the pub, would happily return. One thing that was odd is that while playing on the fruit machine we were told only one person could use it at a time and my friend would have to sit down. I’m not sure if it was a joke or serious as we ignored it and finished playing our game. In the end I won a tenner so took my winnings. Overall I would still recommend the pub

Having eaten here a least once a month, normally 3 times, for last 4 years . Visited last week to find the menu has changed. The lady actually apologised as we sat down. And it was explained that the owner need to make savings. Well. It's appalling. Choose a main. With added sauce. A bowl of noodles or rice. ?, Starters now miniscule. No fish. No lamb. The 2 best dishes previously. You have made an error if judgement here. It really is not the same quality or enjoyable meal. Very sad about this as it really was a great restaurant. No longer for us. A real disappointment. Sorry. But good bye.

Our 1st visit here, definitely won't be our last. The food was delicious and plentiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very reasonable priced. All in all a great place to eat.

Unassuming from the outside, but along side a great pub is an amazing restaurant (upstairs). Simple menu at the moment post-covid, but outstanding none the less. Pick your meat (or veggie or vegan), pick you rice or noodle, pick your sauce. Simple but oh so tasty. Variety is not needed because what is served blows your tastebuds (plus there is plenty of variety for the Thai foodie). Service is quirky but stellar. Nan was oh so friendly and put us at ease.

I love eating here as the food is lovely and fresh with good size portions. I remember the lady from the time she had a market stall outside the pub - there was a queue for her food back then too. Bar staff are all lovely, doesn’t matter how busy they are they always bring water out for my dog. Bought the family out for lunch and it was just amazing, they were blown away. Would highly recommend this gem!

What a lovely restaurant serving excellent Thai food, the best we’ve tasted in the area. This was our first visit, unfortunately because the restaurant is upstairs in the Junction Pub, people might pass it by, how unfortunate. We had spring rolls, followed by a delicious Red Thai curry and also Pad Thai. The staff were absolutely charming, we wont be visiting any where else in the future for our taste of Thailand.

We enjoyed another fabulous meal here this evening. We’ve not been for a while due to covid but it was a pleasure to come back again today. Milly was our server & was as attentive and funny as ever. The service is always fantastic here as is the food which was delicious. The green Thai curry is divine. I had the Burmese fish curly which was also amazing. Really recommend this place, give it a go!

It’s sad that I have to write this review but we went here for food on Thursday and I have to say was pretty poor we went at 5.30 and they didn’t have any noodles at all because they have a new chef ‍♀️ When sainsburys is a few hundred meters from the bar this is pretty unacceptable, one friend also broke her filling on sharp bone (that’s what we think it was) found in the crispy chicken did show server but ‍♀️ Our starters was missing one ( we hadn’t been charged though ) we had to get the tables cleaned when our food arrived, there was only another 2 people eating btw and 6 arrived upstairs so was not busy. The new chef, would presume to us they are only capable of deep frying items as the beef came out dry had to order sauce for it. We used to really enjoy coming here but I would now only go back for drinks

I can’t believe that I’ve not actually reviewed this place before. Used to go about once every couple of months before C19 but since reopening have been three times. The whole place has gradually transformed itself over the last few years and is now a lovely place for a drink or, in our case, to eat at the Sai Kitchen, a Thai restaurant above the main pub, but which serves customers both in the restaurant (which has had a lovely recent makeover) and in the pub (and its bear garden). The food is exquisite and plentiful and very good value for money. I can heartily recommend the Pad Thai Chicken, but my wife loves the Vegan Curry. The staff are always pleasant and engaging and go out of their way to ensure your comfort and bonhomie. There will be major competition upcoming when the new cinema and its likely satellite food chains open in 2022, but if it continues to please in this manner it really should just go from strength to strength. Heartily recommended.

It started well as the online booking process was easy. Things then went downhill. The tone of the server behind the bar when we arrived could have been less aggressive. Having heard great things about the food here, we were then disappointed with our meals. They were ok, but not spectacular. That said, our meal server was very polite and upbeat, even in the extreme heat. We wouldn’t return unfortunately.

Very impressed with the quality of food and very attentive, friendly service, especially with all the (well organised) safety measures in place for the current situation. Looking forward to our next visit.

Visited on 11th July for a birthday lunch with family. Was great service and lovely food. Portions were large and great value. We all had a wonderful time and the lady who served us was so helpful and courteous. Would be nice to have another choice of menu with lots of smaller main dishes so it could be shared more in a group. Will definitely go back soon and I highly recommend this lovely food.

This has always been a great pub with excellent food and fantastic service, and for a first meal out after lockdown it was a great choice. The pub is spacious and well-ventilated, hand sanitiser is available as you come in, there's a one-way system and all appropriate measures are being taken for social distancing and providing a fun and safe evening out. Highly recommended.

First time back since lockdown. Nice to be able to write a review again. Amazing as ever. Each time we try to pick something different and have never been disappointed. Always seem to go for the sharer starter while we decide on our taste bud delight for the main. Excellent food, attentive staff, nice atmosphere and decor. Our second visit to Si's and it was just as fab. Aromatic prawn noodles, succulent land massamman and unparalleled steak. If this restaurant was in Reigate, you wouldn't get a table for months! The best Thai in Surrey.

Visited as a party of 4 on a Wednesday evening. Food was quite simply superb. 3 of us chose Thai Fishcakes as starters, delicious, portion of 4 fishcakes each, served with a wonderful very spicy chilli sauce. My main was chicken Pad Thai - decent sized portion of tasty Thai noodles, quite superb. Other mains of a green chicken curry, and a massaman lamb curry were thoroughly enjoyed, as was the wonderful looking emerald chicken. Superb restaurant which I would love to visit again

We eventually make the promised visit to The Junction. Chose a busy Friday lunchtime and coincidental with quite a few other customers. The staff very appropriately warned us of a probable delay but it was worth it. Excellent Thai meals and portions to exactly match our appetites. Unquestionably will visit again very soon.

A lovely meal as usual and a big helping - I can never finish mine! I have a "delicate" stomach and cannot eat spicy food but their Pad Thai Chicken is wonderful and has never upset me.I tell them that I am allergic to chillies and they leave them out of the dish and put the crushed peanuts (which I can eat) on one side for me to add as I wish.

I’ve eaten here on several occasions and still have nothing bad to say about the food which is amazing! They accommodate vegan diners with no fuss and can amend most of the dishes for this. Staff are always welcoming and friendly too.

I had reason to be staying in Redhill for a few weeks in July. Having sampled a number of restaurants I settled on The Junction as being the best. There was a great choice of food, both Thai and British, always beautifully cooked and promptly served. The staff were always friendly, and the quiz night is not to be missed!

We live between Redhill and Reigate and yesterday (Saturday) I wanted to eat out in Reigate. My husband convinced me to stay in Redhill and to visit the Junction. This proved to be a great decision. The ambience is lovely: Victorian pub with beautiful glass and original features and decorated with lots of plants and retro objects. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was out of this world . Very tasty and fresh. We had a green curry and a duck red curry. We highly recommend it

Ordered on site but you can order online for pick up only. The menus show which dishes are gluten free and when the take away arrived all gluten free items were clearly marked. The meal itself was lovely and plenty of it. We will definitely return for move.

I held a party in the full-on classiness that is @JunctionRedhill last night and can't recommend it enough. I absolutely love that heritage building with its fusion of classic, continental & Thai decor. They did a wonderful sit down Thai meal that was praised by all (all pescatarian/vegetarian/vegan at my request). We had 2 cool dancey retro bands and the sound worked perfectly. It's great having the little separate areas so people can have chill areas, but you can still have a full-on band in the main section. Sai and the team did themselves proud, so welcoming and helpful; thank you, you wonderful people!

Did not really expect this fairly attractive pub to offer a selection of curries on its lunch menu. My wife had a sandwich that she enjoyed, but I chose a curry labeled as "mild" - my bad. It could have used a bit of spicing up, so do not be afraid to order things not labeled "mild" if you fancy a bit of spice.

Visited for a dinner. The Thai food suggested by the waitress was amazingly good. As i have visited Thailand and eaten there as well as eaten Thai food many times in Singapore I was pleasantly surprised to find good Thai fool in Redhill. There are multiple LED TVs showing different sports. Also the assorted beer selection was good.

Not being from the area I’d never have found this place but a work colleague advised a visit. I wasn’t disappointed. Externally looks like a typical English town pub. Inside keeps up the pretence but upstairs the Thai food was supreme. Quite simply one of the best Thai meals I’ve ever had anywhere. The staff are also eager to please and very friendly.

A choice of two real ales, Tribute and Doom Bar. Thai food is on offer,and its very good. A large selection of other beers and lager available. Very good and attentive staff. Only one drawback, the toilets are upstairs. Worth a visit if you are in the town. If you like sports,you will be happy with one big screen and two smaller screens.

The lovely lady who runs this fabulous Thai restaurant in The Junction in Redhill never fails to raise a smile with her warm welcome. The food is fantastic. We have never had a rubbish meal here, with hearty portions of delicious Thai fayre. I would recommend sharing a starter as the mains are filling. Prices are around £5 for a starter and £10 for a main, very reasonable for the heart of Surrey. Lots of choice including the delicious Emerald Green breast, Thai green curry sauce on succulent chicken with noodles. There is table service and you can call a waiter with a bell from the table if you need anything. It deserves to be packed.

I paid £8 for a Double gin and tonic, that's probably more then most places in London (I'm from there) which was a massive shock! The food is great though.

Often call in - and get a nice welcome. Usually from Millie, the bar manager. I've never eaten there - but enjoy the live TV sport in this convenient town centre pub. Near the main shopping centre, and stations.

We always get a warm welcome and are looked after well. The food is fresh cooked very tasty. Unusual setting but attractively decorated.

One of the best restaurant in Redhill area. The portion of the food is good. Quality and Quantity of food is good. Very tasty, we often go there on weekends with family.

Much more preferable to the Wetherspoons nearby albeit a little more expensive. Food is mainly Thai/Asian with other options and both good & good value. First time there and will return as good place to watch sports, get a decent pint and food more interesting and better than your normal pub grub!

We were in Redhill and came across the The Junction serving superb Thai food. The flavours were awesome, we enjoyed a green Thai chicken curry and chicken pad Thai noodles. The service was very friendly and attentive. We will certainly be back, superb.

Best vegetable dumplings i hd and the crispy chicken is glorious. A must try if you are around redhill. The lady serving is very friendly eating here felt like home.

I feel like I’ve given this place multiple chances but ultimately come to the conclusion it’s definitely not for me. My first experience I came in and popped to the loo before I ordered my drink. On approaching the bar the lady behind the bar decided to give me a ‘telling off’. This tainted the night and to be honest I’ve had similar running’s with the same lady, I believe the language barrier could play a factor in this.

Had booked a table for 2 Saturday night at 7, but the restaurant was empty when we arrived. One hour later it was filling up quickly. Friendly and efficient service. Very tasty food! The Asian theme crashed a bit with Bon Jovi being played in the pub downstairs, but it wasn’t too disturbing. We has thai fishcakes and spring rolls for starters and red prawn curry + Singapore chicken noodles for our mains. The red curry was one of the best I’ve ever had! Everything else was also very good. Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you like thai food.

A great independent venue serving fabulous thai food with a smile. The sesame prawn toast are incredible and every other dish was right up there too. A real gem in the heart of Redhill.

Having eaten at a number of Thai restaurants in Reigate, this one by far supersedes them all on both food and service. We won’t go anywhere else now having eaten here a number of times and not once been disappointed.

I’ve been staying in Redhill for 3 months now due to work commitments nearby. The Junction is a great place to come for a decent pint of Doom Bar and some amazing Thai food, I think I’ve been there at least once a week since August.

I’ve visited the junction for the beer side of things before. Tonight, I went more for the food side of things, upstairs in the Thai restaurant. What can I say? The food was absolutely out of this world, full of taste, full or character and just all round incredible. The lady who was serving us was so friendly, bubbly and very good at her job. Highly recommend this place to anyone whether it’s for food or just drinks! Thank you.

My colleague and I are actullay still having a food orgasm after eating at this amazing place. The food was just “THE BEST”. I cannot reccomend this establishment enough!!! I Pop in here regularly catch up with emails, have a bite to eat, quick beer after work. The managers have created an atmosphere where you can genuinley relax. Be left alone or chat to other regulars or the bar staff, who are very friendly and welcoming.

Had dinner here on a Friday night - food was fresh, vegan friendly and the service was excellent. Not the traditional Thai restaurant - more of an English restaurant feel. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. This restaurant is in the centre of Redhill, convenient to the nearby Travelodge and was reasonably priced. I have recently become vegan due to health reasons, and since I was going to be visiting friends near Redhill I looked on Trip Advisor for suggestions. This place came up so my friends and I went in for lunch on a Saturday.

We went to the restaurant above the Junction Last Saturday night, we usually go to Reigate for Thai but wanted to walk to a restaurant rather than get a taxi, having looked through some reviews on here and they were all very positive we decided to give it a try. It was amazing, nice setting, the food was absolutely fantastic best Thai I have had in ages. We had the Green curry and the roast Duck Curry (the sauce for this one was delicious!!) They were generous portions and came with a choice of rice or noodles. There was also a button to press should you need service and someone came to see you very quickly after you pressed it.Prices were very reasonable for and also wine and it is nice to have the pub downstairs for a drink beforehand. I will be highly recommending this restaurant to family and friends and will definitely be back again soon to try some more of the menu.
