The Jolly Millers in Bexley

1 man and his dog were in there,2 of the 3 TVs were on but just showing screensavers of a fireplace.Cruzcampo £5.50 was good.Toilets stunk and not sure about the marvel themed deco,also no I'm not interested in Drag bingo.

Pretty good pub, had a quick pint of Brixton Reliance. No cask ales that I could see. Spacious outdoor area.

Great pub in the area, they have newly refurbished the garden, very friendly pub, staff are welcoming and easy to talk to, lots of variety for beers, wines and spirits, they also have a pub quiz on Mondays.

This is an excellent Pub to go out with your friends and enjoy life.Very busy but there was still a lot of parking.Good to go there around the weekend

Lovely pub since the refurb, fantastic couple with a warm welcome. Lovely crowd, great atmosphere and good music.

I celebrated my one year old baby's party there and it was lovely! They let us use the garden area for it, I could bring my own decorations and put a foam mat on the floor for the babies to play. The food was catered by a bakery they recommended (food was excellent) and they provided the music with speakers. There is no wifi, but I believe you could share your playlist with a cable/device. They have a disabled toilet and are working on getting a baby changer for it. For the party, we could use a changing mat which was helpful. The owners are absolutely lovely and were very helpful during the organisation and during the party. I highly recommend this pub for any events. The party was a success and everyone enjoyed the place.

Esther, Pete and all the staff at Jolly Millers were a dream! We definitely chose the right venue for our relaxed fiesta themed wedding party. We had a wedding party of 52 people and the garden and gazebo set up here was absolutely perfect. There was space to set up the tables, cater a full BBQ and space to dance the night away. Esther and Pete were so accommodating and open to our plans. They allowed us have exclusive use of the pub for 4 hours and even after this all of the locals respected our space, although by the end of the night the whole pub was dancing together and joining in 🎉🥰 everyone keeps saying to us what a great pub it was, how friendly the staff were and how reasonable the prices were. In this day and age that says a lot. We will continue to visit Jolly Millers as one of our locals and wouldn't hesitate to use them for any event big/small again. Thanks so much (newlyweds Mr and Mrs Monasterio ❤️🎉)

Visited this pub when it was first refurbished and was very impressed .Returned yesterday (7/5) and wasnt quite as impressed. The service at the bar was very slow ,one lady working tirelessly behind the bar with intermittent help from one or other of the male owners ,both of whom seemed overwhelmed at times.Being a warm Sunday afternoon the pub was quite busy. There didnt appear to be anyone collecting glasses and the ashtrays on the tall tables were overflowing ,one of the male owners used the ashtrays and still didnt empty them.The ashtray at the entrance of the pub was overflowing with butts and rubbish.Not a great welcome .The ladies toilet was ok but toilet and sink in need of a wipe round and a splash of bleach also a tidy up . Hopefully all these things were just a "blip" as the pub is really nice and has a great atmosphere with friendly staff . Hope next visit will find it back to previous high standard

We have visited this pub numerous times over many years - recently it closed for a full refurbishment… came in today Sunday 12th a lovely family feeling clean and so much brighter than it previously was - every thing and more we expected high quality furniture and decorating - and lovely welcoming staff What more could we want on a Sunday Beautiful bar the only ‘issue” I would say is …. So much to choose from !! Come and see for yourself you won’t be disappointed! Garden - the ladies has some “essentials” for free the furniture so comfortable and clean ! We will definitely come back … often ! Thank you to the new owners you deserve all the luck on the world you really have smashed it ! And deserve nothing but the best !!

We visited the jolly millers for the first time since it has been under new management and they have done a brilliant job. We found it as 2 women so welcoming the decor is lovely and the staff are so friendly it is such a different place. They also gave us a little snack of olives and bombay mix with our drinks what a lovely touch. Will defo returning and telling friends and family to visit.

This pub was a bit tired . But now new owners have taken it over. It has been refurbished to a high standard and now is a great place to meet friends

Great pub! Newly refurbished and has very welcoming owners. The pub has been redone and it is a millions times better than it was before. Good selection of beers, wines and spirits and at a nice price too. You even get some free snacks to enjoy at the table and BT sports being shown as well. Highly recommend if your in the area.

This place has had a full refurb & is under new management. They’ve done a great job sprucing it up & it now feels light and airy and a great place for a drink. Nice beer garden that will be great for summer.

Had never been to this pub, which is two minutes walk from Bexleyheath Town Centre. So, deliberately popped in on a Saturday night when karaoke was on (the excellent Ben, second Saturday of every month). It’s well lit and prominent on the main road (enter from the side road), bright, spacious and well decorated inside with a succession of rooms knocked together to form an open-plan L shape with high and low tables and chairs here and there, and plenty of room. Not many people there for a Saturday night. Happy days, friendly bar staff - and two real ale pumps (that’s my thing) but alas and unusually for this area, there wasn’t any. But a reasonable choice of the usual ice-cold gassed-up draught beers. A pint plus spirit and mixer cost £8.60. For some reason there’s two listings for this pub on FB, both of which say it’s family, child and dog friendly - Goggle reviews mention same. This is accurate, because there were two dogs roaming about, along with five or six kids aged between two and ten years or so - who were allowed to karaoke. On the subject of karaoke, if you’re an applause-junkie it’s easy to shine here because the bar is set very low. Most singers did not appear to have recently listened to songs they were attempting to sing, if indeed they ever had. Best dress down for this venue. Even at 9pm on a Saturday evening most punters just wore very casual clothing or even work clothes and clearly hadn’t made any sort of effort. Overall, definitely not for us and we legged it elsewhere. But guess our negatives may be positives for some prospective punters.

Lovely quiet little place in the afternoon. Very friendly staff made us feel very welcome. They are very dog friendly and we were even greeted by Peggy the resident dog on entry. Lovely beer garden with plenty of seating. Will definitely be back to this one.

Although I've lived in Bexleyheath all my life, this was the first time I have ever been to The Jolly Miller and ,wow, it is somewhere that I will certainly return to! A friend had hired the complete pub for Christmas party, complete with Karaoke(!) and although it is not the larges to of places, we all had such a great night! A big THANK YOU to the proprietor Hannah and her team who made us all so welcome. The drinks were reasonably priced and I noticed that they have live music, ets - I will certainly return in the future. Make sure you do not miss this hidden treasure in Bexleyheath !!!

First time we've been to this little tucked away boozer. Very friendly and reasonably priced. Loved the pool table and dart board. Open fire was lovely touch too. Will return. Could do with a bit more seating inside but lovely and cosy.

I'd organised a reunion of old school chums involving a tour by vintage bus running around the Sidcup/Bexley/Bexleyheath/Dartford area where we lived in our youth. Needed to find a pub for a lunchtime stop, but with the ability to park the bus safely and securely. Googled pubs in Bexleyheath and, with the bus garage being round the corner to park the bus, The Jolly Millers seemed to fit the bill. Went in to enquire whether the pub served food on Monday lunchtimes, to find it was normally closed on a Monday. However, when I explained we were a group of 18, friendly landlady Hannah said they would be very happy to open up and cater for us as a private party. We only wanted light food as a hotel dinner was booked for the evening, and Hannah quoted for a light finger buffet. For the price quoted, my expectations were modest. The day came (October 2019), and it turned out to be an excellent find!! All worked to plan, and pleased to report the lunch exceeded my expectations by a good margin for the price quoted. Quality was very good, and the sandwiches had been freshly prepared shortly before our arrival. It's a fairly traditional locals' pub, unglamorous but clean and welcoming. Toilets were spotless. Hannah explained they had only taken the place over recently, and looking to grow patronage. If they treat all their customers like us, they deserve to succeed. The assembled group were very satisfied, and were pleasantly surprised at the excellent value offered. Recommended, provided you're not looking for anything too bijou. Any shortcomings in the decor were more than made up by the friendly and helpful service.

Met friends early on a Saturday evening fo drinks. Place was empty. Unfortunately, the lack of Cider was concerning - only one choice! Beer: again only one on tap! Won’t be returning to this pub in a hurry.

Hannah - the new manager of The Jolly Millers - has quickly put her mark on this traditional local pub. Saturday night saw a young singer belting out a range of songs that had the customers up on their feet and smiling all night. Her 3 hour long set (almost non-stop) had everyone buzzing throughout the evening. Hannah promises more of the same in the future. I shall be returning to The Jolly Millers today (Sunday) for the weekly meat raffle and to sample some more of the well kept Brakspears beer.

Hannah is a lovely friendly new landlady and given time to settle in and set up properly will be a keeper and a must to visit.

Wow what a lovely little family pub. The premises is under new management Hannah & Nick a very experienced duo destined to make this venue a local treasure. A highly recommend place to socialise and wind down with family and friends. This place has a welcoming warm feel to it hard to find these days. Like walking into the Rovers Return.

I attended the fireworks event they had with my wife and two children, the owners made us feel very welcome we really loved the friendly atmosphere In the pub.

This would be an excellent alternative to the the rest in Bexleyheath and a "Must Visit" if it were not shut for the foreseeable future. This pub is not trading at this time :(

Great service and good quality of beer

I went to this pub over the weekend and spent Sunday afternoon in there with few friends and I must say what a wicked Sunday, Good atmosphere with the sports on and during this at half time was a meat raffle called in which I won 2 prizes of good quality meat!! We were also amazed by the spread put out of seafood, roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings with beef and gravy all done by the owners themselves which I thought was lovely of them to do so! Plenty for everyone!! Really do recommend to others to pop in on Sunday as it’s was a brilliant day thanks jolly millers will defo be popping in again!! X

Hummm, some strange reviews below. I’ve found the pub to be a great little find and it’s more and more popular every time I go in. Good beer, good atmosphere and jolly (excuse the pun) staff. I would take some reviews with a pinch of salt as I’ve been visiting this pub for a while and not witnessed an iota of aggression, far from it. The new owners are superb, they got to know me from the first time I popped in and you can tell they are making an effort. Sad to see some people aren’t in agreement... Keep up the good work.

Walking back past the pub after closing time, after leaving the Jolly Millers a little earlier due to the staff over serving people who were already loud and drunk, saw female staff with a group of young men scream and fighting with a another group in the street. as previous reviews say about new management, it does not seem the management know how to deal with situations in a professional manner resulting in a bad atmosphere

I recently visited the jolly millers pub and found it to not be a great atmosphere. There was trouble outside because a group of people got thrown out, in which the owners were swearing and handling the situation very badly. I am just warning people who could get caught up in situations like this. Avoid this pub it is aggressive

Worst pub ever, went there for drinks with family and friends. Landlords were yelling and shouting at everyone in a very rude and disrespectful manner to leave the pub trying to cause trouble. Terrible customer service and landlords that have no consideration for their paying customers who are keeping them in business. Don't spoil your night, go somewhere with class and respect because this is definitely not the place.

Visited on reopening evening. The pub has been closed for a number of weeks. All seemed good. Wide choice of beers and the usual wines and spirits. No real ale but that should be coming on soon. Not sure about food. It is advertised outside. Dog friendly. There is a pub dog who can get rather affectionate.

This is obviously only my opinion but feel this is a mid range public house. The bar staff are pleasant and welcoming but I feel the premises are dated and need modernisation. Did not eat here as it was only a passing visit. Did not visit the rest rooms so cannot comment. I would have another pint in here if passing but would not make a point of visiting if not in the vicinity. definitely a local pub so to speak.

My daughter and son-in-law held a 30th,60th and leaving party at the pub on Saturday 28th January. They had been told by the gentleman in charge that they could hire the pub free of charge. When they asked whether it would be solely for their use, the gentleman told them that he would inform the locals that there would be a private function that evening, so they just assumed that it would only be people who had been invited who would be there. We were dismayed to turn up for the function due to start at 7 pm and find the pub full of strangers (locals) and just a few of our family. When my son-in-law asked the lady behind the bar why there were so many strangers there, he was told that she couldn't turn the locals away. We were very very annoyed. Some of the "strangers" left but one or two groups were obviously not going to move on, and then they seemed to phone their partners and tell them to come down as there was a party with music, dancing and food - and we had paid for the food. Just be warned, it is not what it seems here - yes they advertise that you can hire the pub free and have your function here, but yes that's ok if you want to share it with the locals!!!!

I popped into this pub on a cold and wet April day. I found it had a variety of drinks including wines,beers, real ales, ciders, stouts, spirits and soft drinks so something for everyone.
