The best pub Sunday roast I’ve had in a long time. The kids enjoyed their burgers too. Cauliflower cheese was delicious.

Popped in for an impromptu midweek meal out. The food was excellent, particularly the fish, chips and mushy peas. A decent selection of beers and Ales. The staff were warm and welcoming, we will definitely be back again soon. Thank you.

Popped into this pub for some Sunday lunch. We had the sirloin of beef and what a Sunday lunch it was! Absolutely amazing nice thick slices of beef and a nice amount of veggies. We also had a side of cauliflower cheese which we highly recommend! When we visit silsoe again we will definitely be popping in again!

A beautiful little gem of a pub ! Fantastic food fantastic service the staff really can't do enough for you ! A very thoughtfully put together menu with plenty of choice for everyone ! And ideal place for a cosy meal for 2 or a party of 25 ! Highly recommend you try this wonderful pub !

Had Sunday lunch nothing special & lukewarm,wouldn't return only people eating locals swearing continually loud & a drink driver left the pub whilst we were there with a young child, lady behind the bar pleasant but should mentioned to the locals about the foul language, shame because a nice looking place.

Just had the most amazing Sunday lunch in the Jolly Coopers. It was lovely good selection and cut of beef, nice vegetables and the service was just perfect. Will defiantly be going back. Ange Flitwick

Food always good. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Although it was a quiet lunchtime in January there was a lovely log fire burning. What more could you ask for on a cold winters day.

booked for lunch as it was near christmas lights at Wrest Patk. Roast dinners were delicious with lots of meat and a really lovely gravy. Staff all friendly and did a great job.

Had a lovely meal there. Good home cooked hearty fare just was was needed on a cold evening. Especially enjoyed the apple crumble and custard! Reasonably priced and great service.

Nice country pub. Only stopped in for a quick drink. One pint and a soft drink cost us £7 so it felt a little on the pricey side (but I think everywhere is these days!). Lovely atmosphere and a spacious, tranquil garden. The barmaid/Landlady was lovely-very friendly and knowledgeable. Would go back if I was in town again.

Great evening had by us in a gem of a village pub

Friendly and inviting with delicious, freshly prepared food - there is no greasy, fast-food here. This is the second time we have visited recently and each time we were surprised at how many people were there as the pub is tucked away in a small, quiet village. The locals must realise how lucky they are to have such a gem. We will be visiting again soon and would definitely recommend you go there, you will not be disappointed.

Only had drinks today with friends but the food and service looked very nice and the Ales were faultless. Will be returning soon, also plenty of parking.

Great pub, great real ale and the best value food that is truly amazing these days. If The Jolly Cooper can do meals this good for £8, how come most other establishments can't produce 'home cooked' half as good for double the price? The Chicken & Ham pie was full of chunky meat and my wife was equally impressed with the Fish Pie! Nacho starter was good value also👌

Perfect weekday lunch. The fish pie with seasonal vegetables was excellent and chicken curry with rice was very good. We'll be back.

This is an odd place with all the trappings you expect of country pubs these days with outdoor space used for tables, a marquee for cover and the like... I'll start with the good bit. Service was efficient and the young man who served our group of 9 was charming and efficient. Unfortunately, I also have to get to the not so good bit. An amazingly long menu making selecting food difficult which was added to by a lengthy list of items not available. Food when it arrived was a bit variable as some had to be sent back as it was cold in the middle. My hand cut has was a generous portion but it definitely wasn't hand cut and the chunky chips were rather industrial looking. I'm not being difficult as previous reviewers have reported on the variable quality. Apparently the pub tenants might be moving on which might explain erratic nature of things in the kitchen. It's a pity as there are still the bones of a nice country pub here but its difficult to see.

Good Sunday lunch and friendly crowd at bar.

Visited on a group meal.....main meal of Roast Beef. Meat was tough as old boots and cold, vegetables were undercooked and luke warm at best. Service was OK

As a local resudent, you want to support your businesses nearby. The Jolly Coopers is lovely for drinks, but the food is an unmitigated disaster. The menu is huge and overwhelming and, every single time we have visited, I place my order only to be told later that something isn't available. The current £8 menu is also very misleading (check the small print!). Tonight's meal was returned - the so-called chicken katsu curry was a tiny portion of clearly packet chicken in a hideous dark brown glutinous sauce. The salad with the squid looked days old. Places like this will not survive with this quality of food.

Nice pub small bar music on in the small bar couldn't move wonder why larger room or marquee wasn't used.only stayed for 1 drink would have made a night of it we needed seats was there early so full quickly,anyway that aside nice atmosphere in the pub and friendly.

Another lovely village pub ruined by foul mouthed alkis sitting at the bar. If you want to drive out decent returning customers this is a master class in how to do it. Seeing how many F words you can get in a single sentence should not be a qualification for customer of the month. If you want to enjoy a meal while listening to entrants for this competition then this is the pub for you.

The Jolly Coopers is a pub that is always a pleasure to visit whether you eat in the bar or restaurant. If you haven't been you've missed a treat.

We went to watch the Australia v England game Saturday morning and were suprised to find there was only a few supporters there. The rooms were set up for great viewing and the hospitality of the owners was second to none. We had a lovely breakfast, enjoyed big screen viewing of an exciting game, which we won in a nice cool room. Looking forward to the next game 😃

Blooming marvellous - needed a quick pit stop on the way to Northampton. Found it on Google maps - Just fabulous - super friendly smiley staff (thanks) and the food and menu were superb. Home cooked, fairly priced - great choice would highly recommend!

Eight of us – 4 adults, 4 teens (+ 3 dogs) had the best lunch ever here. Amazing food, with great selection – from massive burgers to Thai green curry – and we were all super-happy with our food. Lots of good specials on offer too, in addition to the normal menu, and all very reasonably priced. The chef also found ways to help us choose fab things for one gluten-intolerant + vegetarian person. Most important, the staff members were totally friendly, helpful and laid-back. Can't wait to go back here.

We decided to go out for lunch on Easter Sunday at the last minute and I tried to book various eateries only to find that they were all fully booked. The Jolly Coopers however had plenty of availability, with hindsight that should probably have told us something. We ordered two turkey dinners. The food arrived promptly but was served on cold plates and was tepid from the outset. My gravy had a big blob of undissolved stock cube in the middle of the plate. My small ball of Paxo-type stuffing had a rock-hard section which I was not able to cut through with my knife. Portions were large, but the food was so cold that we gave up trying to eat it. Two members of staff, including the chef, spent the duration of our visit sitting in the garden chatting to other diners.

Very clean and cosy surroundings with fantastic decor and great ambiance. Very friendly and attentive staff. The food was excellent and perfectly cooked. We will be back as this place is definitely one of the top pubs in the local area. Highly recommended to everyone to pay a visit!

Stopped in here after an afternoon out walking, was very impressed by the food options, it included a good range of options for vegans and vegetarians plus gluten free options. As someone with a food sensitivity it was wonderful to have options and everything tasted great. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, will definitely be returning again next time I'm in the area!

Really enjoyed Bangers, mash, veggies + gravy; followed by Treacle pud + custard today at The Jolly Coopers. No cooking tonight. Yay!

Great location for a pub. Can walk across the fields and enjoy a refreshing beer in a quiet and relaxing environment. Nice selection of beers and the food is nice, too. Plenty of outdoor space for anyone concerned by being inside.

Group of 7 of us out for a birthday celebration. We were on time and were shown our table etc. We weren't quite ready to order when the server came over, so asked for a couple of minutes. The response we received was 'yes but...

Just had an extremely pleasant lunch at the Jolly Coopers. The steak was cooked to perfection and the Wells ale was distinguished. Thanks guys.

We visited The Jolly Coopers on a Sunday afternoon after bringing the dogs for a big walk up at Wrest Park. I informed them beforehand that I am gluten intolerant and I was able to have a full roast dinner with all the trimmings. The staff came out to let us know our food would be slightly longer as the chef was cleaning down everything thoroughly before preparing my dinner to avoid any cross contamination. To someone who has this condition it was like hitting the Sunday Roast jackpot as sometimes is can be a game of roulette. They brought water over for the dogs and gave us a lovely spot in the corner. We will be back.

A couple of friends took me for a pub lunch, and I expected to the food to be of a standard, but wow it's at a level or two above my expectations, an undiscovered gem of a place... I had the chicken madras, it was nicely presented, super tasty, spicy hot without overpowering the dish, and I struggled to finish eating all that was on the plate - I'm going back for certain.

We made a booking on the same day, we brought our very well behaved dogs to Wrest Park for a good walk then 2 adults and 2 teenager were very well fed at The Jolly. I had made them aware previously that I am gluten...

The Sunday meal was excellent, even though we have not been up there since Covid the staff were very helpful understanding. Looking forward to going there again very soon.

Good welcome, facilities excellent and strict adherence to covid regs. Beer limited due to supply problems from brewers but not a problem as the one beer available on tap was good. Didn't have food this time so will return very soon.

First time we have been here , food was lovely, staff very friendly, all kitted out with plastic screens round the tables ,and screen at the bar .reasonably priced food .would definitely recommend.

Lovely meal and table service, also very impressed with there covid set up in the pub. The Stilton sauce was fantastic to accompany the steaks that were served at our table. I even managed to take home the leftovers with regards to the sauce. Will definitely recommend to visit this place 👍
