General pub food, unfortunately when it’s busy it’s very hit & miss with the quality of food turned out. Staff are friendly but not enough of them. You should book if you want a specific time but I think once you been you would not return. The bay are really missing an opportunity here for great food in a great location. Over price for the quality of food not enough healthy options. You can take your dog in with you.

Overpriced food and drink. Arrived late after 6 hour journey so it was the only place to eat. Being within the holiday park it’s easy pickings. Ordered food after 7:30pm and it wasn’t very busy and the food took 40 minutes to arrive. Would expect it within 20/25 minutes maximum. Table next to us ordered 10 minutes after us and had food at the same time! Very loud customers, who could be heard across the room, thinking they were the only people there. They also had a dog that kept barking. Another dog ran to ours as we were leaving, it wasn’t on a lead. Children not being watched, one boy kept moving from one chair to another while his parents stuffed their faces. Not caring that he was annoying others trying to eat. It was even that late that people could have drunk that much. Specialist burger not that special, very small plate for £15. Pint of beer £6+ nonalcoholic beer £5.70! Mocktails over £6 Glass wine £9 Two meals and two drinks £47!

A well oiled money maker. When you’ve nowhere else to go whilst staying onsite there’s this place, it needs a good deep clean in the short term but the dog enjoyed the floor snacks from previous customers and that was at 2pm on a Monday. The staff are friendly enough, serving hugely overpriced drinks in glasses that need binning and terrible food that’s below average. Thank the earth that whilst you’re staying in this complex there are local businesses that deliver if you fancy a night off cooking. This place needs closing down and starting again, it could be great but should be avoided at all costs in its current form so someone does something about it!

Meals worth £3 priced at £15+. Absolute daylight robbery. 5 different 'dishes' ordered all awful. Cost me £100 with a few drinks. The quality of the food was so low it reminded me of the 'creations' my teenage children bring home from food tech. Total joke. Why do British people put up with rubbish like this. I don't know how the staff served it with a straight face. I travel a lot and it just wouldn't be tolerated in Europe. Avoid this place like the plague. I feel sorry for the staff working in this place. They are the best thing about it. Food is basic and stupidly priced. Drinks are very very expensive. Despite most tables being reserved, we were there over an hour and told to sit away from reserved tables which were not used. Almost none of the tables were in use even after all that time. People were told to go sit outside in the cold courtyard. Makes no sense and means there's no atmosphere. This place must just keep going because of its first time customers who leave similar reviews to this one. It opens late in the day and now it does not serve breakfast it means there's nowhere on The Bay to have a cooked breakfast. Why do the people who own the cottages and apartments allow this to continue? Don't they have a say? Their service charges are enormous and this awful pub is a key facility. It could be a wonderful, comfortable hub after a day on the beach or out walking. Someone do something! It puts you off coming back to The Bay and is not in keeping with the rest of the site.

This place has risen again, the quality of the food went downhill earlier in the year but we went last night for the first time in quite a while and have to say the food is back to being five star. Spicy chicken wings were incredible!! The inferno burger was exactly as describe and the Mrs enjoyed her scampi and chips. All washed down with some drinks of which there is a good selection. It was a cosy atmosphere and they had the fire lit which was a welcome sight when we can in from the literal sub-zero temperatures outside. The staff are all good and friendly but this place is absolutely made by George and Shelley, too incredibly welcoming, warm and friendly people. They make all patrons feel special and put their heart and soul into the pub. Highly recommended if you’re visiting The Bay. EDIT: 01/11/24 WOW, what went wrong here? We used to really enjoy this place but rhis has seriously gone down hill. The front of staff who came to greet us at the door, left us stood for 6 or 7 mins without acknowledging us. When asked if we needed to be stood there to be seated, his response was “yes you do but I’m busy”!! Wow! Never come across such terrible customer service manner anywhere. Wait another 4 or 5 mins and he eventually came back and by now a longer queue had formed. He was curt, impolite and lacked any sort of customer service. The place was busy and is seriously short staffed, the queue for the bar was a further 10 minutes to place our order. All in all a really horrible experience. We will continue to visit The Bay as it’s a great destination but until The Joy Paul Jones staffs up and trains their staff, I would avoid. We certainly will be from now….

The pub is actually quite nice and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the food is very overpriced for what you get and some of the meals looked like they were straight out of a supermarket freezer section. Always been a favourite spot for us, staying at the bay a few times a year we’d eat here most nights during our visit. Staff are lovely and always make us feel welcome, good food and drink, especially the pizzas. However the recent decision to cram all the pups into the tiny space in the front room is a major let down for us. Really off putting as it’s adding stress to all the dogs on top of each other, even on busy nights previously dogs sat happily with the owners around the full pub. The change imposed now, creates a busy / uncomfortable atmosphere, and is resulting in staff turning away large family groups with pets due to lack of seating in the front room, which silly for a site that thrives as family and pet orientated.

Spent a lot of time here recently and now because a few snooty people have probably moaned dogs are no longer allowed in the larger, more spacious area. Now all the dogs are crammed into one small area which makes it a lot worse. For a place where people come, who the majority have dogs seems a stupid policy to implement. A lot of groups are being turned away or left because of this. I can imagine the profits will take a tumble.

The ‘mash’ on the sausage and mash was Smash not real mash. We ordered a dessert which we had to ask for again after half an hour and then re order before we actually got it. I know as it’s on site it is pricey but the prices of food and drink here really are ridiculous and the quality of the food does not justify the prices. The atmosphere is none existent . Great on-site Pub at The Bay. I think it is a little pricey but generally it is atmospheric with nice food and a good menu.

Pricey for what you get. Beers good, but over £6 a pint.

Whenever I come here (under duress) I'm either "served" by the charmless or the gormless. Bad choice of overpriced beer - Doom Bar and Atlantic - but it's a captive market on The Bay site so hold your nose and dive in.

Average food, mostly overpriced with disappointing service. Me, my wife and 2 kids went for a meal. I ordered a burger, Mrs had a chicken dish and 2 kids meals for the boys. The main meals are fine. Nothing special. But as expected. Average and overpriced. Kids meals are good value. You get a starter. They had garlic bread. A main meal. They had fish Fingers and chips. An drink. Pepsi for one and a generic blackcurrant carton for the. Other. Then you get a dessert. They had pancakes with ice cream. For £9.99 each. Sadly, after waiting for 40 minutes and asking 2 times for their desserts, the waitress came out and said they had made a till error and put only the starter, drink and main meal through and so we had no dessert. They had charged me for each item individually. She said the only option for her was to refund each item and then recharge me for the kids meals. So 21.98 refunded to the card, and then 19.98 charged back to it. Very convoluted way of doing it. Let’s see if it actually does go back because although they can take money off you instantly refunding it takes up to 5 days. We then had to wait another 25 minutes for dessert to come out. Disappointing service. They seem to Be very poorly managed. I’d have thought they would have done more to correct the error. Dessert is on us for the inconvenience or similar. Not we’ll refund everything to your card and then recharge you for the meals. I wouldn’t go back. If you’re staying at the Bay… have a drive into Filey and get fish and chips instead.

Wine at £28 for a cheap bottle is way too overpriced and disappointed you have to order at bar or use app rather than being served

Bar staff were all friendly & helpful. Ordered pizza to go and were very happy with the quality/price. Everyone was cheerful & happy to help when/if required. Other customers also seemed to be enjoying themselves. Overall a good experience 👌

Ordered fish and chips twice , only it turned out to be batter and chips , tiny pieces of fish surrounded by lots of batter . Despite the place not being busy no one checked if everything was ok . Spoke to the manager who said I should have complained during meal , but who too as no member of staff checked if we were satisfied .

If Carlsberg did Chinese food, it's probably the best Chinese takeaway in the world.

Was impressed by this food after reading a few bad reviews, pleasantly surprised. We did collect though as didn't want to chance the food being cold, and was too hungry to wait 45 - 55 mins.

We had 1hr to spare, so popped up for coffees & toasties! There were several staff there but we waited 3/4 hour & had to go so we couldn't get our lovely lunch ! Several of us were waiting this time as your staff seemed unable to make a coffee or hot chocolate ,What a state.I hope the other people complain .Not recommended
