A decent little pub on Birmingham Jewelery Quater with a good selection of draft beers. I was there for a meeting in the upstairs function room. We had sausage & chips which was very tasty

Typical pub including classic pub food! Nothing out of the ordinary, neither positive nor negative. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Card payment also possible!

The first visit very good. Real ale house with great bar cobs, and from what I could see, a good menu 👏

Haven't visited the Jewellers since the Mid to late 90's,When I used to pop in for a quick lunchtime drink. Revisited a couple of weeks ago & nicely decorated,Gets busy at lunchtimes & what we saw of the food,It looks & smells good. Usual Black Country Inns beers on tap with a good selection. Will come back again.

A group of us turned up unexpectedly for lunch. Although very short staffed, we were well looked after. The landlady explained their situation and made sure we had our drinks and were made to feel welcome despite the pressure. When our meals arrived, it was well worth the wait. Each dish had been freshly prepared with good quality produce. We will definitely return, giving prior notice 😊.

Cracking pub, outside space a little gem in middle of jewellery quarter. Food ok, burger bit greasy and toasties bland but filled hole, should have opted for crusty cob from back of bar they looked great !! Beer selection from BCA smashing. Worth a visit.

Love it here. A real gem. Well kept ale, great cobs, historic neighbouhood. Well worth a visit if you like a traditional boozer. Nice seating.outside on the pavement.

No hot food on Sundays unfortunately! But cider was good. Interior is regular.

The owner was trying to kick me and my group out after supporting our friend who performed there because we hadn't bought drinks yet. She tried twice, once when half the table was at the bar buying drinks. She was completely disrespectful and rude to the group and won't be returning.

A título personal, recientemente hemos visitado numerosos pubs BCA en el "Ale Trail" y nos encontramos con un montón de sonrisas y aprecio del "personal" que nos hace sentir bienvenidos, sin embargo, aquí mientras era atendido por uno de los "servidores" me preguntó bastante bruscamente por el otro "estarás sentado fuera" mientras miraba en dirección a mi nieto, a lo que asentí a regañadientes en la afirmativa, me pilló sin preparación para una reacción tan fría del otro servidor así que pagó por mis bebidas y salimos de su reino de autoridad para sentarse afortunadamente fuera con las personas que tenían un aire de disfrutar de la vida.

It is such a shame that this pretty little pub appears to be run by unhelpful and rude staff who appear to make up rules to suit themselves. I went to the bar to be told that my 20 year old grand daughter (soon to be 21, hence our visit to the local shops) was not welcome. We were told that we could sit outside and be served a coke, but now that we had been "challenged" about her age was not welcome inside. We had intended to order food and non alcoholic drinks but given the poor attitude of the staff decided to go elsewhere. Additionally there were no tables available outside anyhow. To be fair we asked some of the shop owners afterward why the poor attitude in this lovely old pub. They stated that they knew who we were referring to and spoke of her in less than flattering terms. Such a shame !

Lovely pub, old style but bright and welcoming, staff are helpful and friendly, I have known it was there for years but this was the first time I had used it thinking why not, glad I did, I will be going back again and again, very pleasant place 👍

Went on a busy Saturday afternoon had a lovley chicken curry and a nice drink good value nice pub well worth a visit

Fabulous black country brewery pub the ale selection is excellent, always friendly efficient and interesting customers.

Had a lovely pint of Pig on the Wall and a Ham salad cob, it was a nice day so sat outside in the sunshine.

Great selection of beers and very well kept The seating area out the front is very comfortable and you can watch the world go by , beer garden is rubbish out the back. Pub is nice, bright and clean staff really friendly and info about the local area a must stop even if it means going of the planned path. Toilets are spotlessly clean and easy to get too from the main bar

Shocking unprofessional service. Rude, abrupt and unprofessional tone.

If I could give 0 stars out of 5 I would have done!! Really looking forward to lunch as when we went a couple of weeks ago for a drink food looked good! I ordered a jacket potato with chilli and cheese, as soon as put in the first mouthful I could taste no chilli, but a massive amount of cumin of which I don’t like and therefore couldn’t eat, even the smell of it was putting me off!!! I asked politely at the bar if they could change this for cheese and beans instead! The barman checked with the manager who came out to see me! His reply was - “well what do you want me to do about it” I asked if he wouldn’t mind changing it for cheese and beans? He then replied you will have to buy another potato as I will have to throw this one away!!! I couldn’t believe my ears the attitude and manner in which he spoke to me and the lack of his customer service was abysmal!!! I wouldn’t mind, but I wasn’t asking to change for a fillet steak! The cost of a replacement jacket potato would have been pennies to the pub not pounds!! I have completely changed my views about the Jewellers Arms and will definitely NOT be going back or recommend to anyone else!

Visited twice in a week at lunch time. Vast choice of draft ales food excellent The barman Solomon was very polite and friendly a credit to the jewellery makers The lady who did the food was very friendly What a great pub.

Visited this pub, which Handsworth Grammar School Old Boys use weekly after their club night. The water polo Team offer hospitality to the away Team. Leslie puts on a spread of sandwiches and chips - just what you need after a match. Lovely selection of ales and cider. Great staff, very accomodating and pleasant. Not very full on Friday, but everyone having a nice time.

Proper pub. Great selection of beers, especially if you are an ale fan. We visited pre the Villa game and there was a friendly atmosphere all round. Will be back!

A typical Black Country Ales' pub - and that's nearly always a good thing. A good choice of Ales at reasonable prices in an area that can suffer from inflated levels of pricing.

We recently had a reunion in the upstairs venue room, food limited but good, drinks like most pubs expensive food very well priced. The only thing l didn't like was a long staircase to the bar, even though they have a bar upstairs, and considering the avarage age of the 24 people presant were over 75 years of age isn't on.

Obviously had a fairly recent refurb', and we had a most acceptable experience, with friendly service, decent ales and a nice friendly locals atmosphere.

What a fantastic pub! Off the beaten track and has a very traditional feel to it. Great selection of ales, friendly service and a wonderful atmosphere. I’d certainly recommend a visit.

The jeweller's has a great range of beers and pub grub . It's a local pub with a friendly atmosphere. Pop in when you visit the jewellery quarter, you won't be disappointed.

First Black Country Ales pub visited with a no under 18s policy, but the rules only seemed to apply to some not all, rule should apply to everyone if it’s in place, one to avoid if visiting with a family.

Have to wait ages for food there no signs to say food start cooking at 12:30 and food is cold especially the roast dinner Plus the cook and manager are horrible people and rude. Wouldn’t go there again better places to eat. Plus the way they treat an terminal ill person is disgusted

Disappointing, chilli absolutely no taste at all. Too much competition in the JQ to go there again.

The pub is ok, however last time I went, there was a horrible smell of urine coming from the air vents behind the sofa. I assume it travelled because the heating was on, but it was very disgusting and I had to move as it was not possible to ignore it

I love this pub. A real old Brummie working class pub, well kept and spotlessly clean, with an amazing choice of excellently served real ales. The management, staff and customers are always welcoming. This doesn’t pretend to be a “gastro pub”, but the food is proper pub food, hearty with large portions at a very reasonable price. I just love the well filled (not grated) cheese and onion cobs. Is there a better accompaniment to a good pint?

Lovely Saturday evening in this boozer. We turned up for a work reunion and the place handled it really well. Good ale, good service, nothing to dislike about the place. Thanks for having us and for dealing with 20 odd people turning up unannounced. This is a recommended Brummagem pub.

Unfortunately we were told to leave on a Sunday because our children 16,16,14 & 13 were not allowed in the pub. In this day and age a massive thumbs down 👎🏻

Hadn't been for many years but it didn't disappoint. Friendly staff and good food. Really warm atmosphere, perfect to be able to sit and enjoy a catch up with a friend.

This is one of them proper old style pubs that you rarely see,it was,lovely right in the heart of the jewelary 1/4,really worth a visit.

A cracking traditional pub serving some seriously good hand pulled ales. The ham salad baguette went down a treat and the aroma of the lasagna (?) from the table nearby was wonderful, must try next time. Recommended. Edit as of July 15th '23; I tried the Cumberland Sausage and mash with onion gravy at lunchtime. It was gorgeous!

Situated in the Jewellery Quarter a very short walk from the Metro and train station. Limited menu but can recommend the steak pie with mash and the roast on a Wednesday. Excellent selection of real ales.

We popped in last Sunday after a walking tour of lost pubs in the Jewellery Quarter. This is a meeting point for the tour and not a lost pub. If you want to experience a traditional pub with a great selection of ales as well as a couple of more commercial lagers then try it. On Sundays roadside parking is free.

Great selection of ales. Food good, lunches being served again as well as cobs. We'll definitely visit again soon.
