Came here for the first time with my mum to The Ivy in Leeds. We will definitely be returning. Stephen, our waiter, was fantastic and made our first time experience one to remember. Can't wait to come again with the rest of the family.

I was gifted a £100 voucher for my birthday . I took my daughter and granddaughter and it was amazing. All the staff were fantastic and made my birthday feel special. The bill came to £109.24 and the staff waved the £9.24 which was so kind . I love this place and will always keep going back

Fabulous Experience!! 7 of us dined at The Ivy yesterday to celebrate our friend’s birthday. Everything was fabulous. All the meals were delicious and well presented. We took advantage of the April Sunday wine offer as part of the rewards scheme which was an added bonus and a great idea. The service was excellent as usual. Special mention to our waiter Jiri Belik, who was very attentive and looked after us superbly

Good food, good aesthetic, good service! Ivy seem to have good consistencies! Bad coffee though, again I always wonder why these upscale restaurants never use speciality blend coffees? Instead the coffee is always burnt and one dimensional. I understand if it’s an average place but when it’s on the fine dining side the coffee should be of high quality.

Went to the Ivy Leeds for afternoon tea with my brother, sister in law and niece. Bought as a Christmas present. None of us had been before. We arrived early and they accommodated us early. Our waiter was Fransisco who could not do enough for us. The afternoon tea was amazing, plenty of gorgeous food was a lovely afternoon and no doubt will be back soon. Would really recommend this

My daughter and myself went for lunch this week. Its our 2nd visit and it was a totally different experience to our first. We were sat in a little corner to the right of the entrance and had a baby buggy as a view. Felt disconnected from the main restaurant where there were plenty of empty tables? The prawns were under cooked and the chicken was dry and overcooked. We just had one drink and left. Our waiter appeared to be a trainee. Very disappointed 😞

My wife and I had breakfast here. The full English breakfast was delicious and the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Thank you.

A lovely experience, food always superb, beautiful decor

Firstly we ordered tap water for the table. It had a strong chemical taste to it. I told a member of staff and asked him to smell it as it tasted/smelt like bleach. His face said it all and he quickly replaced it for a new bottle without apology. Seemed he wanted to brush it under the carpet. My brother asked for no chillies on his starter which came covered in chillies so needed replacing. I asked for no coriander in my main and had to return to the kitchen as again it came with coriander. No attention to detail which was disappointing and definitely didn’t appreciate being served diluted bleach as a drink.

Our breakfast at The Ivy was made truly exceptional by our server, Daria! From the moment we sat down, her warm and welcoming demeanor set the perfect tone for our meal. She was incredibly attentive, always anticipating our needs without being intrusive. Her professionalism was top-notch, and she made us feel like valued guests. What truly stood out was her thoughtfulness. Daria surprised us with a sweet treat, a delightful touch that made our morning even more special. It's clear that she goes above and beyond to ensure her guests have a memorable experience. We were thoroughly impressed with Daria's service and will definitely be returning to The Ivy. We highly recommend asking for her if you want to experience exceptional service! Thank you, Daria, for making our breakfast so enjoyable!

The drinks were great, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I just wish they hadn't closed the bar that soon before 12am on a Friday night. Otherwise a very cozy atmosphere, one fitting for a relatively calm night out with neat food

Greeting was amazing, I was alone so was given a great table set up for 1. Steve my waiter was out of this world, the professionalism was amazing, nothing too much for him at all. I can honestly say he could teach some of the younger generation of waiters a true lesson. The 2 Dans behind the bar were outstanding too, recommended drinks I’d like and served me with a smile after my meal. The GM came over and spoke to me which made me feel a little special too. All in all one of the best meals and service I’ve had in a long time. Cannot wait to return very soon

Absolutely beautiful restaurant which is well decorated with lots of wall art. The staff were extremely efficient but also very friendly. We visited for breakfast which was delicious. 3 of us had the full English and the other one had the pancakes with berries. All the food was very well presented and tasted amazing. A quality restaurant that I cannot wait to visit again.

We went for brunch today for my mums 50th birthday and were treated so so well. Matthew was our server and he was so so kind. Service was top notch; he comped my mums second coffee and she got a dessert for free for her birthday. His service absolutely made our day, so thank you.

Excellent place to eat before attending a theatre show. If you like value for money, try the 1917 Heritage Menu - £20 for 2 courses. Great food, well presented, in a good atmosphere. The staff are attentive, polite and professional without being overbearing. Recommended.

Visited The Ivy for breakfast. Nice selection to choose from with several veggie options. Second coffee is free which is a nice touch. Food was decent but nothing overly exciting. Service was good at the start but incredibly slow later and we waited forever for our bill.

This place never let's you down, its one of my favourites. We visited again last Saturday for my birthday and had a lovely time. The setting is elegant and classy but still quite casual. I'd describe the menu as elevated favourites I.e the shepards pie and fish & chips are beautifully presented. The food, service and decor is spot on.

My husband and I just popped in for a cocktail early evening and just loved this beautiful restaurant! Gorgeous decor and soothing atmosphere. Sat at the bar and after chatting with the fabulous mixologist Daniel we finally decided on what type of espresso martini we wanted! Fantastically detailed conversation on our likes and dislikes in a drink and they were mixed to perfection! Clever boy! We are planning to visit and have a meal next time… cannot wait!

Wonderful visit for breakfast, all staff were very welcoming and made our time at the Ivy very special. Food was to a high standard, taste and presentation was excellent. Great service throughout, really nice ambiance, and fine decor. Would highly recommend.

Second time visiting here with a friend and very disappointed with the service and food. Food was average for the prices paid. Service not the best. Server was rude. Server tried to argue with me in front of a room full of people. Then was talking to her colleagues about me which was very obvious as the manager and everyone kept walking past our table and staring. Waited ages for our food, other tables who came and ordered after us had eaten their mains and we had not yet received our starters. Once I chased up for the starters they magically appeared. Not good at all. Will not be visiting again. Will be going to the cut and craft next door which is so much better for the cost and they don't make you feel uncomfortable.

Fancied somewhere different to eat so decided to book a table. The atmosphere, service and food were all brilliant. Could not fault it. My only reason for 4 stars was where we were seated, right by the entrance, all you could hear was the door being opened and closed. Otherwise would highly recommend a visit.

Very average breakfast in upmarket surrounds. Date of visit: 24 February, 11am. The Ivy exudes class and quality, but not today with the breakfast. It was very average. Poached eggs had hard yolks. The rest (mushroom, hash brown, tomato) tasted like it had been sitting around warm for hours like at a hotel buffet. If a kitchen can’t even do something as basic as poached eggs properly, it makes me wonder about the quality of all the food. Total cost was £27, with orange juice, and tea. And I’m pretty sure the orange juice wasn’t freshly squeezed, and actually tasted like concentrate (not even like a purchased carton of freshly squeezed OJ). Safe to say I won’t be back for breakfast again.

Went for birthday celebration. Told them when reservation was made, told the hostess when we arrived. The service falls short of what we have experienced in London. The manager said they didn’t know there was a celebration and she was not told. The hostess did in fact convey to the server but the ball was dropped and they did nothing to recover - not even and apology.

We went for an afternoon tea, for my hen party. To be quite honest, it really was disappointing. We checked if they could do certain dietary needs, and they said it was OK. My friend that booked it sent 2 emails confirming it, then was called 3 separate times from members of staff. When we got there, we were basically told by an over-zealous manager that my friend who is gluten & lactose intolerant, not allergic, wouldn't be able to eat. As they treat intolerance as it were an allergy. The guy came to the table 3 times and was quite aggressive with my friend. He only took stock of his attitude when another friend told him to stop, as he was ruinening our day. They eventually said they would knock something up. But we waited 70 mins to be served, so we were rushed to eat and to be quite honest it wasn't a very nice experience. The manager that took over was very nice. She tried to do her best to make the best of a truly bad afternoon. She provided us with a bottle of complimentary champagne, but I was so disappointed.

To top it all off, the service was attentive and friendly, ensuring a seamless dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-notch meal! It was a pricey meal as you have to buy sides separately and the drinks could have been slightly better for the price but that would be my only criticisms.

AMAZING, the food was immaculate I had smoked salmon to start and lobster linguine as a main but the desserts was the best part the chocolate bomb was amazing thank you ivy!

What a huge disappointment! From start to finish. We visited at the weekend for the first time, for my birthday. First thing that I didn't appreciate was when have a conversation with my husband, the waiter joined in! Which I found rude. Then are wine came to the table, a small amount was poured in each glass then taken away to a communal ice bucket and the waiter was just topping us up randomly, to which we went and got the bottle and brought it to the table. Which the waiter clearly didn't like. Then the food came, we both had the squid, nearly £14 each for 6 very rubbery pieces of squid (the dip was nice). Then came the mains, the sauce to my chicken was massively under seasoned, but over all edible. But my husbands burger had to be returned due to the bun been black, he only has one bite and all he could taste was burntness. He complained about the burger and sent it back. By the time it came back out I had finished my food, so we didn't even eat together, and the apology for the poor quality was just as poor. We did have dessert which was the best course of the meal. When the bill came, there was no compensation for the inconvenience of sending the burger back and they still had the cheeky to put a service charge on also, which we refused to pay. All in all we paid £125, to have my birthday spoilt completely, by poor quality and poor customer service.

The Ivy Leeds today, Called in to ask about my serious garlic allergy, and was met at reception by the lovely Fay,. We were able to be seated at table 53 and review the menu with the equally and lovely and efficient Kam. Super food, ambience and amazing service, we will be coming again. Thank you, Joy Froggatt.

Brilliant place, great food and good service

Myself, wife and our youngest daughter visited the Ivy for birthday lunch for my daughter, we were seated quickly and our daughter congratulated on her birthday! Had the lumch time menu which did not dissapoint ! Skewers were lovely as was the minute steak and choclate fudge, all in all a lovely visit, thank you Ivy for making it a special memory for our daughter!

Excellent service. Our waitress Priya, was outstanding she asked why we were in Leeds and we explained we were getting married the next day. To our surprise she then arranged with her manager for four glasses of champagne to be delivered to the table. Later on I had a complimentary dessert as well. She was super efficient and friendly throughout the service. The food was gorgeous and the restaurant is beautifully decorated in true Ivy style.

Came here with my family to celebrate my 70th birthday. Expecting a first class meal and service. The meals we eventually got were nice the service was non existent. No sides were brought to the table as the waitress forgot to order them so some mains had to go back and be made again as having waited so long for the sides to arrive they went cold . My niece in the end was brought 3 steaks as they kept bringing her the wrong order. When the correct steak arrived it was extremely rare , she had ordered medium. She ate it under sufference as by this time she was past caring.The waitress was rude , we had to ask her 4 times to refill our drinks order! After much frustration we called the Manager over who was really nice and apologetic and rectified everything and also adjusted the bill and we weren't charged for any sides and given a couple of bottles of wine on the house. It was upsetting as many of my family hadn't been before and were very disappointed and will not return. I however know how great the service at the Ivy can be so on this occasion felt very let down by incompetent waiting staff.

We visited here on a Sunday evening after having quite a large lunch. We only wanted a light dinner so chose the Ivy classic of fishcake and poached egg. The staff were pleasant and coped very well on a very busy evening.

First time I had been was on New Year’s Eve and I was very impressed with the whole experience. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

This was my first trip to the Ivy. 2 of us had the Christmas 3 course menu. It was pretty average. I had higher expectations of this high profile establishment. The squid tempura starter was the best bit. The steak main was not great and the Christmas pudding was dry. There was some theatre with setting light to it and our waitress was lovely. They let us linger and atmosphere was good. They also let us move tables as we didn't like our first table.

Loved the food and atmosphere here. Our waitress was really nice as well. I enjoyed the venison tartar and the steak with peppercorn sauce and fries.

Been to this place a many times, but I visited on the weekend with my mum and was sadly turned away! I found it extremely appauling. Because my mum was veiled she mentioned to us to sit on the outside of the restaurant in the cold baring in mind it was cold and rainy outside and my mother being old would like to sit in a warm restaurant. Not on the outskirts. If you’re coming to a restaurant you’d expect the same treatment as others. I was actually shocked to see the treatment difference to when I would come on my own with a friend! Absolutely horrendous! Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone to visit or ever be back myself!

Wonderful service and atmosphere. Went in for a late night drink and dessert but wasn’t impressed by much. Halloween special dessert felt like a Mr Whippy ice cream, definitely not worth the price. Cocktails were alright but nothing new.

The Ivy in Leeds is such a lovely restaurant and I cannot recommend visiting here enough. We came for breakfast and were not disappointed. The staff are amazing and attentive but for me, nothing beats the amazing food!! The full English was to die for and really filling too.

We had a fantastic time. Service was perfect really kind, attentive and polite staff. Even though it was busy we were served very quickly and had our drinks with us right away followed shortly by our food which was piping hot and very tasty. I went on mon 2nd dec for afternoon tea with my daughter. It was a gift from her for my 60th birthday. From the moment we stepped in to us leaving was amazing. The service was exceptional. The afternoon tea was amazing. I would never get sick of eating the food. It was one of those situations where I didnt want it to end. Everything was so fresh and it was all so amazingly tasty. I would recommend a visit to anyone. Well done.

6 hot meals all cold. The service before receiving the food was poor but they did redo our meals and gave a generous discount which was appreciated.

Always enjoy coming here for breakfast as a treat whilst I'm here at the film festival. However, I was disappointed that the kippers has been dropped from the menu as I love kippers and it was only place in Leeds that I could find that serve it. I did in the end go for the full English which was very nice. Service was very welcoming and professional and the vibe is always so classy. If you want that 5* review, the kippers need to make a return for my visit next year.

Tried the fixed price 1917 menu, the chicken starter was lovely, very Thai inspired with a nice chilli kick, the Shepherds pie main course was rich and tasty, with lovely red wine gravy. I could have eaten two. I probably should have added a side as the portions are not large, but it was a very satisfying meal taste wise

Plato vegano decepcionante - curry a base de plantas Penang. Para ser honesto, la comida fue horrible. No era comestible. No puedo criticar el servicio pero la comida fue una gran decepción. We came to the Ivy Leeds on 11th November for a meal . The whole experience was very enjoyable, from the food to the staff who were very polite and looked after my husband and I. I would highly recommend this restaurant. 5 stars all the way.

La comida era preciosa, tuvimos 3 platos completos y nos encantó a todos - incluyendo la firma Shepherds Pie. Todo estaba delicioso y todo servido a tiempo. No era barato, pero buena relación calidad-precio. Consejo ... para 2 si tienes la cena completa es muy probable que llegue a la marca de £ 100 . . si compras un vale de £ 100 por adelantado que se puede utilizar en el restaurante (al menos el tiempo suficiente para la entrega postal) también se le envía una botella gratis de The Ivy Cuvee para beber en casa. Este es un vino espumoso inglés. No puedes tomar una copa en el restaurante, pero si compras una botella en el restaurante costaría >£ 60, así que vale la pena ir por esta ruta de vales.

I made a reservation here for my sister’s birthday. From the first phone call to make the booking where I spoke to Matt, who was patient, friendly and helpful, to arriving on the night and being so well looked after, the whole experience was effortless and enjoyable. Without being prompted, Matt recalled and delivered on everything we discussed on the phone, including organising the birthday-box surprise for my sister, which may I say, looked amazing and tasted even better. Our waiter for the evening was attentive too, the food was fantastic, and overall I can’t recommend it enough.

Birthday meal imo too busy but great

Had terrible experience. Had £36 steak in Leeds , absolutely horrific ,chewy and tasteless. Tartare same meat just raw 😰 Chewy , tasteless. Best part was zucchini strips . Will never step in the restaurant again.Staff was friendly , average service, we didn’t complaint at the restaurant just paid and left very disappointed of not enjoying the meal .

Very, very poor service. We were a party of six we waited an hour before requesting that we place our food order. Starters came out at different times as did the main courses. Food was not hot. By the time we had finished our main course we had been there 2 3/4 hours so had no time for desert. We had to chase the staff continuously for drinks, for food for clearing etc etc. The Ivy has been so good in the past. We were all very disappointed as it was my son’s 21st Birthday.

This was my first trip ever to the Ivy and it may just be my last, it was the worst Afternoon Tea experience I have ever had. The quality of the food was poor, service was below average. I asked very very clearly not to have a salmon sandwich and they still brought one and the attitude of the staff when I had to politely remind them I am allergic to salmon was shocking. Leeds has better places for afternoon tea.

Very poor overall and completely over priced. Portions are very small also. Go literally anywhere else.

I visited with my daughter for a late afternoon / early tea. We were dressed quite casually after visiting Leeds uni open day and I was worried we would feel under dressed. The staff were lovely and everyone was really nice, not pretentious at all. We really enjoyed the cocktails and food was delicious. It had a buzzy atmosphere and gorgeous décor too. Can’t wait to visit again

Presentation and ambience and vibes are outstanding. Love the decor and everything from the lighting to the staff uniforms. Food presentation was very visually appealing- loved how the scallops were served on shells with foam. However, the scallops taste wise they weren’t the most tender and I thought the tater tot / creamed spinach combo it was served with was a bit strange. The steak tartare was very heavy on the parsley over the entire surface. Would have preferred more onion or capers as to parsley. The soy glazed cod was a bit salty. But the presentation and vibes made up for the food. Would come back, maybe for drinks at the bar and something small.

Earlier today, I visited The Ivy Victoria Quarter in Leeds with a friend to celebrate her birthday brunch. The online booking system was easy to navigate, and when we were running late, I appreciated the flexibility to adjust our reservation by 15 minutes without any trouble. Having dined at various The Ivy locations before, I often choose it for special occasions as it rarely disappoints - today being no exception. From the quality of the food to the attentiveness of the staff and the overall ambience, everything was faultless. My friend and I both ordered traditional fish and chips from the brunch menu, paired with a mixed berry smoothie and a mango and passionfruit cooler. The wait staff were consistently courteous, checking in to ensure everything was well. I would like to especially thank Declan - the lovely Scouser waiter - who significantly enhanced our visit. He remained friendly, funny, and polite, making us feel welcome and comfortable throughout the meal. Declan’s excellent service truly stood out, and I hope to see him again on my next visit to The Ivy Victoria Quarter in Leeds. Since this was my friend’s first time at any The Ivy branch, I was especially happy that her experience lived up to her expectations. It made the occasion even more special knowing she enjoyed it as much as I did!

Gorgeous food. Great service from very friendly guy. Nice house champagne. Table we sat at was quite close to other tables. Bit squashed. Still fab place to eat though.

Eating out isn’t cheap so do it properly. What’s the point in settling for substandard when this restaurant excels in all ways.

Good food, fairly basic menu, great service, especially if for a special wvent

A perfectly cooked steak, tender and flavourful. The restaurant’s ambiance was cozy and inviting. From the quality of the food to the exceptional service, everything came together to make it a memorable dining experience. I can’t wait to return!

Food was lovely, although we did have an insect come out of the Berries in our pancakes. This was swiftly replaced. The chairs were slightly grubby and looked like they had food stains on them. This was rather disappointing for the Ivy. Service was excellent, we had a lovely waiter who made us laugh. Food was excellent as always. Lots.of healthy options as well as treats.

Could not have had a better experience yesterday. Priya our waitress was absolutely fantastic. She made the dinner so enjoyable. Personable, friendly, thoughtful, funny. It makes such a difference when the service is so fun. Also - the food here is unbelievable. I rate this as one of the best dining experiences we’ve had this year.

From start to finish an absolute fantastic experience. Entrance lobby was welcoming and staff were keen to greet with a smile. Cloakroom service for your coats etc is a lovely touch. Service from start to finish was top notch. Cannot recommend enough. If you enjoy quality ingredients, amazing service and a classy interior this is the place for you.

The ivy is exquisitely funky in design that makes you want to redecorate your own home. Its staff who cater for you are attentive and bubbly however the ladies on reception sadly lacked a personable manner. A young lady who served us made up for that, she was a gem. In terms of value for money, the warm drinks are refillable and they do a menu (£19.17 menu) that I feel is a great deal. Presentation lacked a certain attention to detail but we did enjoy eating there. Thankyou ‘the ivy’ for looking after us.

I can't rate the food here as we actually left before we had the chance. We arrived this Sunday having booked a table for 4pm for two, we had to bring our 2yr old due to CC issues. We were told this wasn't a problem but had to wait 5 minutes. That's where the customer service stopped. We were not asked if they could take our wet coats, not asked if we would like to go in and wait. We asked! We were then not shown where we could wait so found 3 chairs in the dining area. We were the completely ignored for more than 20 minutes no offer if we wanted a drink no word on the table absolutely nothing. A few frosty stares from one of the women front of house. For an establishment that seems pretty upmarket I was absolutely fuming. I go to many restaurants both "posh" and not so "posh" but never have my family not I been treated as if they didn't even want us there. Restaurants are more than good food it's the atmosphere, the service, the kindness of employees. The food could have been 10/10 but I will never go back.

Lovely 2 course meal, Friendly staff, good atmosphere, not too noisy and we could enjoy our conversation. The wine was very good however it was overpriced for what it was. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
