booked in for breakfast on an away day in Edinburgh, warmly greeted and promptly shown our table. The surroundings/decor are quirky and the place is clean. Orders taken and delivered for the four of us by another friendly staff member. Breakfast was very nice and no complaints and set us up for the day. I will call here the next time I'm in Edinburgh and would highly recommend it

The ambience in this place is a bit odd as the decoration is a combination of a cafe and some other random bits and pieces, it's quirky for sure :) I was saddened that the chips were oven chips especially when we could smell oil so presumably, they had a fryer. Service was a bit slow but we were in a rush too. The baked potato was nice and the panini I had was adequate, the bread was a but doughy-tasting. The coffee was average but to their credit, they did let me take it away in a coffee cup and we got a friendly welcome. They take card payments too but I think their menu is just too large and they should focus on perfecting a few dishes.

Came here for some food before the steam train ride with my mum, aunt, uncle and cousin. French toast was ok and for two slices for £2 was a usual price I’ve had in Glasgow. The fish and chips was was the cheapest processed fish I’ve seen which was clearly frozen and then shoved in fryer. Mum asked for mayonnaise and it came in a bowl with a teaspoon. Kids milkshake was a glass of watered down milk and instant milkshake powder. My aunt ordered a baked potato and tuna, that was that disgusting she left the tuna and ate the potato as the tuna smelled off. Honestly don’t go to this place and the customer service was to be honest brutal no interaction and just rude looks. Don’t go honestly. It’s not worth your money go to Tesco round the corner for their meal deal.

We were recommended here by the lady at the railway museum. It's eclectic inside but very welcoming by the smiliest lady who was a joy to be served by. The homemade lentil soup was really good and warmed us up on an extremely wet day.

I'm not often in Bo'ness but last Saturday my Grand Daughter was at the craft workshop and my daughter and I went to the Ivy Cafe for coffee... till I saw the vegetarian breakfast on the menu. I had to have it and I didn't regret the choice one bit. The surroundings are clean and interesting and the staff friendly. I particularly liked the sausages with the breakfast... and everything else. The coffee was good and my daughter enjoyed her cup of tea and scone. All in all The Ivy Tea Room was a very satisfactory way of spending the time and the breakfast was yummy.

Only visited once. Cafe was very cold and staff not at all welcoming. Not particularly good value for money and there would not recommend as a pleasant place to meet up with friends for a coffee.

. It was empty and the service is very slow. Prices quite expensive for the food provided. It's dull and full of clutter.

I have been in here a few times. It has been around a number of years and I have always found it to be a pleasant place to eat. The Americano coffee was fairly decent quality, the chips have always been pretty decent too. Prices are very cheap, which is good. Interior is pleasant and has quite an interesting 'theme'; a selection of charming vintage items. Good, quick service, friendly staff.

Have been in twice. Both times had a nice coffee and simple toastie. Service was a little slow but staff were friendly enough. It's a little space with odd tables and chairs and has been empty the both times we visited. However there was nothing bad about the place and would visit again.

Excellent cafe, we have eaten there a few times now as it's the only cafe we've found in Bo'ness that accommodates vegetarians and their veggie breakfast is easily made vegan. It's a very friendly family run business that actively seeks customer feedback and suggestions.

This cafe is often open when others are not, and offers a great selection of food to suit everybody. It's a family run business and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We have gone several times when we visit Bo'ness and the staff made a special vegetarian dish for my sister to suit her needs. Will definitely be back again.

Terrible, waste too much time processing phone orders. customers waiting in the shop to end up with food taken straight from the frier. Ended up with a soggy mess. Never again.

Always a good experience. Staff friendly and polite. Meals are excellent value. In the week they do a main meal deal if you arrive before 6pm. Plenty of free parking.
