Visited with my wife for dinner. Service was very poor and slow, had to ask for water 3 times in 20 minutes. Food itself was fine but certainly not worth the high cost. Disappointing as I have always liked this place and looked forward to our visit. On a plus, the decor is outstanding.

Another birthday, another Ivy. This is our 5th Ivy that we have visited and it’s safe to say it was a great visit. Last year we visited the Edinburgh Ivy, Glasgow Ivy was equally as great. The service was brilliant, I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name but he looked like Jonny Bravo (nice hair quiff but with a great moustasche) and I think Alice M? (Short hair and glasses) was our other waiter, both were great, attentive, helpful. I really think the service staff are what makes a great visit to the Ivy. The food as usual was very nice and a wrongly delivered item was swiftly changed. We were upstairs in what felt like a more bar styled area than the typical restaurant vibe downstairs. Even with a private party in the Morgan Room we could still chat and enjoy the typically aesthetic Ivy interior. Food wise, the dough sour is always a hot as are the haggis Bon bons. The mozzarella starter with a mix of pecans and fruit was great and the duck curry was spot on! Opted for miniature mince pies for dessert and they were fantastic! Thank you for another great visit

Nothing positive to say about our visit! First people into the restaurant on a Sunday morning. Seated at the tiniest table, literally not room to set our order on the table without stacking on top of each other. Set breakfast was very poor. Watery scrambled egg, bacon barely cooked and not even warm. Staff off hand and disinterested. Would have enjoyed a bacon roll in Macdonald’s a 100 times more Never again

Booked a birthday treat for my wife and cannot speak highly enough of the service and consideration provided by waiter ‘par excellence’ Etienne. He offered a level of service that is a credit to the Ivy and himself. He is a natural and firmly put our recent dining experience at Cameron House firmly in the shade, The food was first class too. Thanks Etienne for making it a memorable experience for all the right reasons. Cordialement Monsieur !

Treated my hubby to lunch at the Ivy for his birthday. The food was absolutely amazing. The restaurant is lovely , even the toilets were lovely decorated. The atmosphere was perfect. All the staff were so attentive. They helped me choose an appropriate meal as I have some food intolerances. The lady that was dealing with my meal went above and beyond. I would like to say a special thank you to her, didn't catch her name though. My hubby even got a nice birthday treat , a creamy proffiterole with a a candle on top. It was our first time at the Ivy in Glasgow. We would definitely recommend it and hopefully we will visit again soon.

Service was fantastic (especially our waiter who was a really friendly guy from Scotland via Melbourne)- they made the meal very special for my daughter who loves it there. Food was good- the truffle Milanese and truffle chips were great (9/10), the lobster pasta was nice but not amazing (7.5/10). Drinks were nice and the bill was not cheap (but I wouldn’t expect it to be) but overall was a lovely night and the staff are amazing.

Looks amazing inside, very nice place but came for breakfast on a Friday and there were just a few things that added up that made the visit fall below expectations tbh. My partner got the fryup and it was clear to see parts of the breakfast had been sitting in a over/ under hotplate for a bit... Black pudding was like a hockey puck around the edges as was the thing on top (can't remember if it was haggis or fruit pudding). The 'smothies' we got were so watery, and the ham on my eggs Benedict was on the verge of being unpalatable it was so salty. The cushions where we were sat smelt funky too, so asked to get them taken away. On the plus side, like I say lovely setting inside. Staff were great, very professional and the coffee was great... But expected more from this place, especially for the price. Maybe was a one off but doubt I'll be back

1st day in Glasgow, 1st gem! The Ivy restaurant, ideally located in the center of Glasgow, was a great discovery for us. It was by chance that we went to this establishment for dinner. The setting is truly superb. The dishes and desserts are as beautiful as they are good, special mention for the crème brûlée which, according to my partner, is the best he has eaten! A huge thank you to Alek, who was our server during this dinner. His energy, his humor and his great kindness greatly contributed to the success of this first evening! Thanks again!

Really disappointed with our visit yesterday, started off with a good impression. Decor inside really nice and staff all very pleasant. When our main dishes came my steak wasn't cooked the way I had asked. it was well done when I had asked for medium rare. They took it away and re cooked it which was fine but my wife had finished her dinner by the time mine came back. The steak wasn't that good when it did arrive and definitely not worth nearly £40 with no sides included. Plenty of great steak places around so I won't make that mis-steak again! We spent over £200 in the restaurant. When I go out, I expect to eat my dinner at the same time as whoever I'm there with. things happen but I didn't even get a drink on the house or something off the bill to acknowledge this , just a 13% tip added onto my bill. Will not be back

Having previously dined at The Ivy we were not very impressed. The food was average and the staff were bordering on rude, so why would we return... A gift card of course, with the expiry time shortly approaching. On arrival we were shown to our reserved seats and given a comprehensive description on what was on offer. We started off with champagne mojitos, and Salt and Pepper Squid, both of which were delicious. We asked for a short break before serving our mains, Duck Curry and Chicken Milanese  and chips and our server timed it to perfection. I cannot complement the service enough, which was friendly, attentive and informative without being overbearing. Our mains were very tasty and just that little bit different, and portions generous. We accompanied our meal with a bottle of Ivy Provence Rosé, served and topped up as required. Our server recommended the Ivy Chocolate Bombe which was absolutely delicious and a great recommendation. The total meal cost was in the region of £200 which included a service charge. Not cheap, but there is also a fixed price menu which is good value for money.

I had such a lovely trip here on Saturday! Really fancied a day out and I hadn’t been to Glasgow for years! Decided on booking at the Ivy as I had never been and wanted to eat out somewhere nice whilst we were there. It’s a lovely building, beautiful decor but super busy at the time we were arriving (we were booked for 4:15) we didn’t wait long at all to be seated though. Our server Aurelian was so lovely, and really added to the experience! I was a little disappointed I was unable to order off a specific menu I’d seen online but everything I did end up ordering off the A La Carte menu was so delicious. We were looked after very well and as it had recently been my birthday, I was surprised with a beautiful dessert before we left and it was divine! We ordered the black truffle arancini and haggis bons bons to start - highly recommend both, so tasty! For our mains I ordered the sea bass and my mum ordered the artichoke and sweet potato tagine with couscous - we were both very happy with our choices, the sea bass was beautifully cooked! I also added a side of the creamed spinach which I really enjoyed too. To drink I had the Ellis in Wonderland cocktail which was great and my mum had the peach iced tea which she enjoyed! We will definitely be back ☺️

My friend loved her salmon with plenty of scrambled eggs😀 and a lovely pot of tea. My latte was just ok although my flat white was lovely and smooth. Was always under the impression that this Glasgow version of the London's illustrious "Ivy" was a bit pretentious but my mind has certainly been changed. I found that it's some of the customers that are snooty. The staff are all very friendly from the Maitre'd to the waiting staff. Big shout out to Joanne who was extremely friendly and welcoming and who also organised a complimentary dessert for my birthday. Thank you. Visited for birthday lunch with my brother (paying the bill) and his wife Rosslyn and myself and my husband. Shown to a table in the upstairs salon and given the regular/1917 set menu. We were set up with drinks, 3 juice and an Ivy bottled lager. We were given plenty of time to decide what we were going to eat. Ordered starters, 3x tomato and red pepper soup and 1x haggis bon bons with wholegrain mustard mayo. The soup dishes were placed in front of us with pine nuts, greek cheese and small cubes of red pepper and from individual jugs the soup was poured on top. This was wonderfully tasty and fresh. The haggis bon bons were small orbs of soft haggis rolled in toasted oats which my husband said were lovely with the delicately tasting mayo. The mains were also delicious, fresh fish and chips with mushy peas and a condiment plate with lemon in muslin, malt vinegar and tartar sauce and a generous portions (as were all the meals). The Ivy burger with West Country cheese on a slightly over done brioche bun , thick cut chips and horseradish ketchup was heartily enjoyed by my husband. The roasted artichoke and chicken breast, potato gnocchi in a creamy sauce with grana padano cheese shavings and with rocket and pine nuts was also a large portion but very light and perfectly seasoned. Lastly, the fillet steak with thick cut chips done to perfection was last to arrive but beautifully presented. My sister in law ordered ice cream for dessert but the rest of us had some hot drinks instead, but unbeknown to myself Joanne had noticed that I had been given gifts for my birthday and organised a complimentary dessert of a quite big profiterole filled with chocolate cream and melting chocolate sauce and finally a salted caramel drizzle with a candle on top and a chocolate cartouche wishing me a happy birthday! Full marks to everyone working at the Ivy for everything and making my day! Will return. Only 1 small point, my husband ordered a Scotch coffee and he said it was only lukewarm.

Not much to say but it's the ivy. Been a few times already but this week was disappointed with the scallops. Should have sent it back. But happy overall

As a visitor, i'm impressed , this place was a finely tuned machine . To explain : from watching the "front," staff saw perfection in that it was personable and professional without it being a "white glove " stuffy kind .From our greeting to our wondeful and inviting server , Etienne ,and with the support crew, everything was wonderful. Etienne was very attentive and actually spoke several languages. I'm not a foodie but know & love my steaks . Our order was well presented. However, my steak was served Rare when it was ordered Medium Rare . Without hesitation, not only did he whisked it away but also saw him speaking to a manager .With an earnest apology from both Etienne and the manager, I was served a delicious steak cooked to my perfection . They comped my dessert as goodwill without any expectation . Our experience overall :ambiance ,food ,beverages, and mostly service was terrific ! BRAVO Etienne & crew ,gonna try another Ivy soon ,and if back in Glascow, I will be there .

We ate there for lunch and evening meal, lunch was excellent and we looked forward to the evening, sadly really quite poor, sirloin steak was cool and chewy and overall appalling, veg was virtually raw and hard. We left very deflated, I think it will be a long time before we visit again.

What amazing dinner! One of the best I had in Scotland. The waitress was very nice, the food was extraordinary. I ate much better here than in other restaurants in Italy, and I am Italian! I strongly suggest to stop by this place

Best pub in the west end. Proper pies, filling and delicious. Fancy beans and Machair loaded fries also worth a try. Not too expensive & lovely staff. Lots of whiskey on the walls. Perfect place to meet friends for a drink, play board games or just to sit yourself and read a book or a paper. Dog friendly, outdoor seating for smokers.
