Go in here every time we visit the city, 4-5 times per year,,,, Totally disappointed today , after waiting 20 minutes after our booking time to get seated, when my child had half eaten his burger before we realised it was half raw,,,,, wouldn't expect it from a fast food outlet let alone one of Glasgows top restaurants. Didn't charge for it but totally ruined the others eating at the table so really wasted £168 and now got a sick 12yr old....waiter was very polite and helpful but certainly wasn't worth the wait nor money!!

The food was ok but not great. Quite pricey considering what you got. The bomb desert was super sweet. The service wasn't great. We received a drink at the start and weren't asked if we wanted another or how our meal was. It was quite noisy.

The service was great, drinks came quickly after ordering and food came at a normal pace which suited us well. We never felt rushed even though we were one of the last 2 tables at the restaurant. Will be back.

Great service by alek and suzy, great food, and Suzy went above and beyond by organising a nice congratulations cake due to me getting a new job. Will definitely be back.

I don't ask for much from a restaurant, just draught lager and a burger cooked how I want. The ivy Glasgow failed on both. Not good

Stylish eatery in the centre of Glasgow. We were given a voucher from family for my birthday so felt we could push the boat out. Starters were very good though I thought my salt and chilli squid was a tad overdone. Our mains was the lamb special, it was excellent, though without ordering a couple of side dishes it might have been a bit on the small portion. Dessert was the prize though. French apple tart with calvados and ice cream. Service was very good throughout our visit attentive but not over the top. Is it value for money, not sure it all depends on what you want to experience and your budget. Would we go back, probably but a much more reserved lunch.

Total style over substance! Staff were really lovely and attentive. Interesting decor and atmosphere. Food was OK but for £200 tab for 2 of us I'd like it be at least great! Scallops we're over, still edible. Courgette fritti is tasty but oily, again edible. Lobster & john dorie was OK, but only some lobster claw (over cooked & rubbery) & some couple of small pieces of fish in a thin sauce. Felt an incomplete dish as no vegetables, I could have bought a side for £8 but didn't appreciate I would need to! My husbands £38 steak was tasty but a LOT of grizzle & NOTHING else on the plate. Can buy a side of chips, or a sauce or another side as extra. I think both mains were nothing worth even £20. Didn't bother to complain as the food was acceptable but nowhere near the value of the cost. Desserts were lovely (again a bit over-priced) All in all, really disappointing food. Pleasant place to eat.

Amazing food, great service and a beautiful restaurant. We didn't have a reservation and we were lucky to get a table. I had the haggis bon bons with whiskey sauce and the shepherd's pie with almond green beans. Absolutely delicious. Washed down with an ivy lager.

We were pleasantly surprised when my name came up on their database when they took my phone number. Where assigned a lovely corner table with a good view of the bar. Server was a bit cold at first but warmed up. Food was excellent. My wife had the sea bass and I had the sheppards pie. Portion was was also good. Didnt have room for dessert as we ordered the sour dough bread Only complaint I have is there should be draft selections available to customers. Just one more thought. It is nice to have an accessible toilet on the ground floor but you should ensure the door closes properly

Great experience at this restaurant. I went there with friends at first then with customers in a private room. The food is absolutely amazing no matter what you order. The waiters are very attentive and professional and the atmosphere is just lovely. Checking out the bathroom is a must as it goes with the whole theme of the place.

My partner and I were in 29/03/25 for our anniversary and we couldn’t have picked a better spot to end the night. We arrived early and were quickly shown to the bar. The bar staff were quick and attentive. Our server Ryan was fantastic! He made fantastic recommendations, and the food was amazing, each dish couldn’t be faulted. I’m so glad we picked here and will definitely be back. Our thanks to Ryan, Danial and all the team!!!

Very crowded and felt under pressure to hurry through meal and vacate table.

We had a wonderful dinner here last night, from the time that Polly made our booking to when she saw us out giving us directions the the nearest cab rank, and giving us a much appreciated small gift

We went for lunch on our anniversary. The food was nice our chips were not hot but they were very quick to resolve that. Also my husband caramel sauce was not warm enough to melt the chocolate on his dessert and they again quickly rectified that and gave him his coffee free of charge. So service was good and the meal was delicious .

Booked for the Mother’s Day set menu. 3 options for the main course: Halloumi, sea bass or Korean chicken. Had booked specifically for the Korean chicken and was looking forward to it but we were told it had sold out (we were dining at 4.30pm so pretty surprising to have ran out so early). No other meat option as a replacement was offered at all which was really poor, I don’t eat seafood so had no choice but the halloumi. Could hear other tables around were equally as disappointed.

15 minutes late getting seated. No obvious reason why. Had to ask reception when table would be ready. Table we were allocated had not been in use when we entered. Otherwise, an excellent lunch.

Great place for a brunch, the eggs royale, the shepherds pie and the pancakes are delicious. The cocktails also are a must have. The service is great as well as the place even if sometimes a bit noisy.

Wonderful place . Great food service is excellent. Unfortunately the background music does not go with the atmosphere but I did thoroughly enjoy myself and highly recommend to eat here .

Sunday lunch frozen yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes

More style over substance. I had the duck curry which was nice enough but wouldn't be desperate to have it again as have definitely had nicer. Atmosphere is what people go here for I would think as it does have a nice vibe.

Went for a Sunday lunch the other week. We arrived over half an hour early and they found us a seat at the bar while we waited. Had a cocktail, roast chicken, and pistachio and raspberry sorbet. Hubby had roast beef and tiramisu. All was lovely as usual. Service was impeccable too.

Busy restaurant with lots of atmosphere.....would say that music was too loud as high ceilings and noise echoed around. I had the shepherd's pie which would have been lovely but not sure if hot. My sister's meal was also tepid! We asked for water and bottle brought which cost £5.00. Waitress was very attentive and smart....service good! Felt overall bit pricey for what we had!

Très belle salle , le restaurent est bien situé la nourriture est bonne sauf un désert au chocolat que je n’ai pas vraiment aimé. Nous sommes venu pour nos un ans avec ma compagne et une petite attention nous a été faite , un dessert offert avec un bougie , très appréciable. Je recommande si vous êtes de passage à Glasgow

Absolutely fantastic as always by the lovely staff at the Ivy Glasgow. Had such a gorgoeus experience there on Saturday with my daughter. Beautiful brunch, champagne and cocktails. Always feels a special experience surrounded by the most gorgoeus decor. Cannot wait for our next visit!! It was extremely busy, staff coped well.

A place above the standard of Scottish food, good service, reasonable prices, and a nice atmosphere. The food is okay, but not excellent, a good option in Glasgow.

We usually go for dinner here at least once a year. Previous visit was not so good with slow service and poor food but now glad to say both have improved. Service level was excellent and food very good. Restored our faith in a stunning interior restaurant.

Laurie was an Amazing host and waiter. He clearly has great pride in his profession. The food was absolutely delicious ~ fresh and warm. The coffee is to die for and don’t forget to get the bread. We LOVED our breakfast!!! We highly recommend coming here.

Went here for a belated birthday lunch for both me and my friend. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. We both had the fillet steak with peppercorn sauce. I had chips with parmesan and truffle oil and my friend just had chips. The steaks cooked yo perfection and very extremely tasty. We also got a little cake to celebrate our birthday which was a lovely touch. The ivy is a lovely place to visit for a nice treat will definitely be back

Classic, cosy, traditional, nice restaurant. You can find nice traditional English food like fish & chips. Service is fast and kind.

Only really pop in for cocktails but the staff are always super accommodating and friendly and always happy to adjust things to personal taste.

2 days in Glasgow. 1st day went to Ivy sat outside had lovely cocktails. Staff very attentive. Must come back! Sunday popped in for coffee before journey home and despite being quite empty was only offered high chairs at the bar! We both have back problems and can't do high chairs but were told take it or leave it. Where's the inclusiveness

We booked this restaurant for my friends 80th birthday, unfortunately it had to be cancelled due to the red weather warning so it was rescheduled to today which happened to be his wife’s 79th birthday too. When we arrived, we told the staff at the front desk that it was their birthday and we would like them to present them with a small cake each, I said we had seen it done before and were more than happy to pay them whatever it would cost. She took a note off the table number and said she would tell our server. We had our meal and nothing arrived but we saw another table getting cakes which was commented on, we tried to delay paying the bill hoping the cake would come but nothing. Such an anticlimax for these two wonderful people who deserved a little extra on a major milestone. Wish I had brought my own cake now or gone somewhere else. Very disappointed, should have been told if it was not possible!

What a lovely experience once again in the Ivy. This time we needed a little help to accommodate my partner and his crunches. They re assigned our table to make him comfortable. We managed the stairs to the beautiful cocktail bar however when leaving they offered to assist him in the lift. As well as excellent food and service, the care from staff on this occasion was excellent.

I've been here a lot of times and I really enjoy it every time. The steak is good, and the atmosphere is great as well. The staff has always been friendly. It’s definitely one of my go-to spots whenever I’m going for a nice dinner.

Food and wine were delicious. Service impeccable, was asked about any food allergies or requirements and the birthday treat was a nice touch. Although busy, there was a nice quiet relaxed atmosphere.

Saved our day trip to Glasgow, had a Great time and expertly looked after.

Great place, The interior looks fantastic with all its paintings and decor, Service is amazing too, the staff are so professional. The only bad thing was our mains were sent out 2 mins after our starters arrived! We had our starters and mains at the same time, basically, so our small table was a bit overcrowded with plates! Our steaks were also not cooked how we asked for them but we didn't complain as we were hungry and it was still nice food and a great experience being in the Ivy. After our meal, we went upstairs to the bar and enjoyed a couple of drinks. We will definitely be back.

I come here very regularly and normally service and food are all great. But today the kitchen had an oven breakdown - I understand that’s a challenge and I was happy to wait. But our allotted time at the table was then exceeded so we were told we had to move to the bar or leave. To be fair, we were told desserts at the bar would be free of charge but by this time we were annoyed and disappointed at having to move when it was not our fault. So we left. And the server , knowing our disappointment, was not bothered in the slightest.

Difficult to review this place beyond that if any other bar, which probably isn’t fair as it’s much more. However, our visit was only a fleeting one as a bar not knowing the area or the nature of business. Service staff were very friendly, welcoming and couldn’t be more gratuitous. Bar staff served everyone like friends and have a welcoming vibe. Place was busy and food being delivered to tables looked great. After our swift drinks, chose to move on, and paid the bill. £29 for a glass of red Malbec wine and an orange gin and lemonade..? That’s not normal or even reasonable prices is it? Or have I missed an economic shift of ludicrous proportions? I could of bought 3 bottles of each for that price?

Beautifully prepared & presented food. Service was excellent too. All the staff are wonderfully well dressed & polite. If I had 1 issue, it was the volume & choice of music. A little too loud & very modern. I would like something that is more appealing to a wider range of diner. Update 2025, the music had improved dramatically. The food was still wonderful & the staff are very well trained.

The ivy is always a treat. Great value, gorgeous location, delicious food. Can’t recommend the burger highly enough (the horseradish ketchup is amazing). Brilliant service and just beautiful.

We visited on 30th January 2025. Party of four. We had five drinks between us.three Wines a none alcoholic beer and a soft drink. We ordered the £19-95 for two courses then added the sweet which made it just under £26 per person. Three sides were also ordered. The food was tasty enough but portions were on the small side. We asked for the bill which came to £222. and on closer inspection there was a £59 discrepancy which we pointed out. The waitress looked at it and told us a button had been wrongly pressed and apologised. Sadly we won’t be back as they are better restaurants in Glasgow to dine out.

Lovely veggie burger, one of the best I’ve had. Incredible apple pie.

We were seated 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. Ordered pre dinner cocktails and food. Disappointed in the coordination of the service: cocktails took 20 minutes to serve (I could see them sitting on the bar for 5 minutes) , our starters appeared before the cocktails so we asked for them to be served later after our drinks. To be fair, staff were pleasant and fixed things when asked but could be better organised. Food was tasty.

Always thought this was the place to go whilst in Glasgow as we sometimes pop in for some drinks but this time it was very average. We sat at the bar but the drinks weren’t anything special this time. Very very overpriced this time too. Shame.

Was a bit worried after reading a lot of bad reviews but as had been given a voucher decided to go for diner. First of all some of the staff are very rude felt uncomfortable. We had starters and steaks with wine . The food was just okay nothing special. We had to put money to our voucher which we expected but come on 10% service charge your having a laugh. I would have left a tip anyway. I don't think i will be back as better friendlier places to eat at.

The ambience and surroundings are lovely . Food portions and quality - I’ve had ALOT better in mediocre restaurants . It’s over rated and vastly over priced. Service was excellent. One girl with a large plait hanging down was extremely cocky and rude. We heard her making comments about a table which was extremely unprofessional. We would definitely return as we love the restaurant but perhaps just for drinks.

A perfect evening from the moment we walked in. The reception staff were warm and welcoming as was were the bar staff as we had a drink whilst waiting for our table. Our waitress was welcoming, friendly and attentive. The early evening menu was good value and offered a range of options. Food arrived promptly. Was hot, flavoursome and attractively presented. We were not rushed between courses or experienced any delays. The decor was bright yet elegant creating a perfect ambiance. Alcohol was expensive but at a acceptable price for the setting A thoroughly enjoyable evening. .

Went in as was recommended and we were not let down as food excellent and service with the atmosphere amazing. The value for money was reasonable for the quality of food but the cost of drinks was very high and where they get you with price. Also the service charge was high which was not an option until they come with the bill which is a little difficult to say go and remove it!

Really disappointed with the food quality burger was bland as was the fish and chips, totally average. Service was ok but not as expected having visited many of the other ivy restaurants throughout the UK. Servers need training, not polished and interrupted us multiple times. Much better restaurants in Glasgow.

Very lovely experience, food was tasty and arrived quickly and the lady who served us was very kind and attentive to our needs . Second time at the ivy today and myself and my family had a great time once again !!!

We had a table for 3 on a Saturday morning without booking and enjoyed an exceptional breakfast/brunch. The French waiter went over and above and after we mentioned this was a birthday treat, our daughter was given a "birthday profiterole cake and candle". We started with a cocktail 😁, the meals were delicious, I can recommend the pulled pork hock with poached eggs and hollandaise. We finished with coffee and loved the whole experience, I would definitely return and would recommend this treat. Thank you.

Not great quality food, flavourless despite expectations form the description. Waiting staff not great, off hand would summarise their attitude. All show and zero substance. Not recommended for those who actually enjoy good food.

Good stuff: * amazing atmosphere * friendly staff Food is needing improvement: * prefer sour dough bread with egg royale rather muffins * wait time for food was too long * smoothie has too much ice and not much juice Service is needing improvement: * a bit slow * 12.5% service charge Overall feel like its not worth the money

Very pleasant experience during Christmas Eve. Very good, very warm atmosphere. The meal was very good, the desserts very good. The only downside would be the quantity of lobster put in the lobster linguine and the price but we highly recommend this restaurant. The dishes are really very good.

Not to miss, if you pass by Glasgow. Exceptional!

We had an excellent meal, the atmosphere was lovely and staff were particularly kind, polite and very welcoming , especially Carol who was our servicer. She was very attentive, cheerful and polite. I would highly recommend the Ivy.

Beautiful decor. We went for cocktails and they did not disappoint! The festive ones were lovely. Pricey, but worth it. Would recommend! (book in advance if you can)

Raw smoky fish. Last visited not long after it first opened and was less than impressed however after a good review from a friend I was tempted back. Firstly, we arrived a few minutes late for our table, however got told that it wouldn’t be ready for 5 minutes. That wasn’t a problem however we were soon led to a table of 8 to accommodate our party of 4. Made for a strange dining experience to be sat at a table with 4 empty seats. Again, not the biggest issue but the first time I’ve ever experienced that and understandable why it’s not common practice as we awkwardly sat at one end of an oval table feeling like we’d been stood up by 4 others. The service was ok for what was a busy evening. Plenty of staff and all seemed very pleasant. Handed 2 menus- the regular one and a festive 2/3 course for £50/£55. We compared both menus and seemed that paying for items from the normal menu was around £10 cheaper than the festive deal so opted to just pick from the main menu. Regardless, the food still seems overly pricy for what it is. I had traditional fish and chips. The fish tasted like it was smoked haddock which was unexpected however it appeared it was the batter, which was greatly in excess compared to the small piece of fish, that had the smoky flavour. It had most likely been cooked in the same oil as some smoked fish pie or other on the menu but kept the same strong smoky flavour which wasn’t too pleasant. I couldn’t be bothered complaining so continued to eat however having already eaten half of the meal, the next bit of fish I bit on was cold. I immediately looked at the remaining part and could see the fish was raw in the centre. I let the waitress know and a manager came over and asked if I wanted another piece. I had already eaten most of my meal so wasn’t prepared to have another plate, particularly after being served raw fish. The manager did say they would take it off the bill but didn’t seem too bothered about what had been served. The raw fish was also left in front me rather than being removed so I had the displeasure of it staring me in the face as everyone else continued to finish their dinner. To make matters worse after paying for the meal, we discovered later that, although the fish had been removed, there was a service charge of £17 added on to the bill. This would cover the raw fish meal. I’m all for giving on Christmas but to include a service charge after serving raw fish was poor. Struggle to see any good reason to go back after the past 2 visits. Sure a lot of people have a better dining experience but for me there continues to be far better places in Glasgow that offer more value, nicer food and a more satisfying experience than here.

Bitterly disappointed by the blatant sparsity of Christmas decorations. The festive menu was disappointing and wasn't really THAT festive..over priced too. I couldn't hear any Christmas music and felt there was a total lack of festive feelings
