Went here for a belated birthday lunch for both me and my friend. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. We both had the fillet steak with peppercorn sauce. I had chips with parmesan and truffle oil and my friend just had chips. The steaks cooked yo perfection and very extremely tasty. We also got a little cake to celebrate our birthday which was a lovely touch. The ivy is a lovely place to visit for a nice treat will definitely be back

We booked this restaurant for my friends 80th birthday, unfortunately it had to be cancelled due to the red weather warning so it was rescheduled to today which happened to be his wife’s 79th birthday too. When we arrived, we told the staff at the front desk that it was their birthday and we would like them to present them with a small cake each, I said we had seen it done before and were more than happy to pay them whatever it would cost. She took a note off the table number and said she would tell our server. We had our meal and nothing arrived but we saw another table getting cakes which was commented on, we tried to delay paying the bill hoping the cake would come but nothing. Such an anticlimax for these two wonderful people who deserved a little extra on a major milestone. Wish I had brought my own cake now or gone somewhere else. Very disappointed, should have been told if it was not possible!

What a lovely experience once again in the Ivy. This time we needed a little help to accommodate my partner and his crunches. They re assigned our table to make him comfortable. As well as excellent food and service, the care from staff on this occasion was excellent.

Great place, The interior looks fantastic with all its paintings and decor, Service is amazing too, the staff are so professional. The only bad thing was our mains were sent out 2 mins after our starters arrived! We had our starters and mains at the same time, basically, so our small table was a bit overcrowded with plates! Our steaks were also not cooked how we asked for them but we didn't complain as we were hungry and it was still nice food and a great experience being in the Ivy. After our meal, we went upstairs to the bar and enjoyed a couple of drinks. We will definitely be back.

I come here very regularly and normally service and food are all great. But today the kitchen had an oven breakdown - I understand that’s a challenge and I was happy to wait. But our allotted time at the table was then exceeded so we were told we had to move to the bar or leave. To be fair, we were told desserts at the bar would be free of charge but by this time we were annoyed and disappointed at having to move when it was not our fault. So we left. And the server , knowing our disappointment, was not bothered in the slightest.

Difficult to review this place beyond that if any other bar, which probably isn’t fair as it’s much more. However, our visit was only a fleeting one as a bar not knowing the area or the nature of business. Service staff were very friendly, welcoming and couldn’t be more gratuitous. Bar staff served everyone like friends and have a welcoming vibe. Place was busy and food being delivered to tables looked great. After our swift drinks, chose to move on, and paid the bill. £29 for a glass of red Malbec wine and an orange gin and lemonade..? That’s not normal or even reasonable prices is it? Or have I missed an economic shift of ludicrous proportions? I could of bought 3 bottles of each for that price?

Beautifully prepared & presented food. Service was excellent too. All the staff are wonderfully well dressed & polite. If I had 1 issue, it was the volume & choice of music. We visited on 30th January 2025. Party of four. We had five drinks between us.three Wines a none alcoholic beer and a soft drink. We ordered the £19-95 for two courses then added the sweet which made it just under £26 per person. Three sides were also ordered. The food was tasty enough but portions were on the small side. We asked for the bill which came to £222. and on closer inspection there was a £59 discrepancy which we pointed out. The waitress looked at it and told us a button had been wrongly pressed and apologised. Sadly we won’t be back as they are better restaurants in Glasgow to dine out.

We were seated 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. Ordered pre dinner cocktails and food. Disappointed in the coordination of the service: cocktails took 20 minutes to serve (I could see them sitting on the bar for 5 minutes) , our starters appeared before the cocktails so we asked for them to be served later after our drinks. To be fair, staff were pleasant and fixed things when asked but could be better organised. Food was tasty.

Our brunch was perfectly complemented by a selection of beverages, including a crisp and refreshing Pinot Grigio and expertly crafted cocktails that added a delightful twist to our dining experience. Raw smoky fish. Last visited not long after it first opened and was less than impressed however after a good review from a friend I was tempted back. Firstly, we arrived a few minutes late for our table, however got told that it wouldn’t be ready for 5 minutes. That wasn’t a problem however we were soon led to a table of 8 to accommodate our party of 4. Made for a strange dining experience to be sat at a table with 4 empty seats. Again, not the biggest issue but the first time I’ve ever experienced that and understandable why it’s not common practice as we awkwardly sat at one end of an oval table feeling like we’d been stood up by 4 others. The service was ok for what was a busy evening. Plenty of staff and all seemed very pleasant. Handed 2 menus- the regular one and a festive 2/3 course for £50/£55. We compared both menus and seemed that paying for items from the normal menu was around £10 cheaper than the festive deal so opted to just pick from the main menu. Regardless, the food still seems overly pricy for what it is. I had traditional fish and chips. The fish tasted like it was smoked haddock which was unexpected however it appeared it was the batter, which was greatly in excess compared to the small piece of fish, that had the smoky flavour. It had most likely been cooked in the same oil as some smoked fish pie or other on the menu but kept the same strong smoky flavour which wasn’t too pleasant. I couldn’t be bothered complaining so continued to eat however having already eaten half of the meal, the next bit of fish I bit on was cold. I immediately looked at the remaining part and could see the fish was raw in the centre. I let the waitress know and a manager came over and asked if I wanted another piece. I had already eaten most of my meal so wasn’t prepared to have another plate, particularly after being served raw fish. The manager did say they would take it off the bill but didn’t seem too bothered about what had been served. The raw fish was also left in front me rather than being removed so I had the displeasure of it staring me in the face as everyone else continued to finish their dinner. To make matters worse after paying for the meal, we discovered later that, although the fish had been removed, there was a service charge of £17 added on to the bill. This would cover the raw fish meal. I’m all for giving on Christmas but to include a service charge after serving raw fish was poor. Struggle to see any good reason to go back after the past 2 visits. Sure a lot of people have a better dining experience but for me there continues to be far better places in Glasgow that offer more value, nicer food and a more satisfying experience than here.

Today, 16 December 2024, we had afamily lunch at The Ivy Glasgow. The place was very busy with many people enjoying the Christmas menu. We were very pleased with our choice of meals, food was perfect. The ambiance was great with a great "buzz" in the place. Very pleased with our visit and staff were excellent. ********** latest visit ************ Todays visit, Friday 10 November, was a birthday lunch for my wife. When we arrived we were very warmly received. The restaurant was very busy and will probably be busy until Christmas. Luckily we had a reservation, booking highly recommended. For starters my wife had white onion soup that my wife enjoyed. I opted for the truffle tagliatelle, unfortunately when this came to the table the pasta and sauce were both dry. For main course we both selected The Ivy cottage pie. This disappointingly wasn’t to the normal high standard, the presentation was what we expect however the food was warm at best, definitely not hot. My wife picked the green beans with toasted almonds, my wife described these as microwaved beans with handful of packet almonds sprinkled on top. I picked the broccoli with lemon oil and sea salt, what I got was steamed/ microwaved broccoli with no trace of lemon oil or sea salt seasoning. This was highlighted to our waiter who offered to replace the unsatisfactory side dishes but we were almost finished. Both these dishes were deducted from our final bill. Next came desserts. This is an easy choice, we both had our usual favourites. Chocolate bombe and apple tart. Both delicious. As we have come to expect from The Ivy all front of house staff are faultless. Unfortunately on this visit we feel as though the kitchen was overwhelmed. We look forward to our next visit. ***** Another visit update****** Once again the food was execllent, very good menu, with the Asian menu additions was very nice. The whole dining experience was above and beyond what we've come to expect from @The Ivy. We recently returned from a French road trip and we were very pleased to be served by Auriel, a French waiter from Normandy, his attention to us throughout our meal was execellent, spending time to chat and recommend locations to visit in Normandy next time. Once again a very enjoyable experience. Keep up the great standards. This was our third visit to The Ivy. As usual the service was excellent. Our server Holly was very attentive but not obtrusive. As previous visits out food was excellent in taste and presentation. The decor is very aesthetic in an art deco style. Unfortunately I love creme brulee and have tasted it some fantastic restaurants worldwide but today it just wasn’t good enough. Will we return? Yes definitely. The rest of the meal was delicious. We will return soon :)

I came to the Ivy for my birthday dinner. I booked a table of 4, however my dad surprised me by coming back from the Riggs early for my birthday. I called and asked if there was anything they could do, a later time, a larger table or an extra chair. I was assured there was absolutely nothing they could do. So my dad wasn’t able to join the meal. However we were in the venue for 3hrs and during that time there were two empty tables of 2 at each side of my table for the entire duration. Meaning they didn’t even try to accommodate. The meal was nice however portions small, especially the starters. Our waiter was lovely and attentive. However the hosts were not. We waited at the front desk for 10/15min, for our table to become available. The hosts also had an argument in front of us over seating customers on incorrect tables. It seemed very unorganised, with an extreme lack of good customer service.

⭐ 1/5 First off, i am a regular at Ivy Resturnats up and down the country, as usually i recieve good service and decent food. However ! I am deeply disappointed and appalled by the shocking experience my family and I endured at The Ivy Glasgow. What was meant to be a joyous birthday celebration (my daughter's birthday) turned into an utterly frustrating and humiliating evening, thanks to the appalling service and lack of basic hospitality. We arrived before 7 PM, promptly placed our orders, and yet endured excruciatingly long waits for each course. Starters arrived at 7:45 PM, and the mains did not appear until 8:30 PM, despite having young children with us who were clearly uncomfortable and overtired. The delay was frustrating enough, but the quality of service was what truly left me aghast. The server assigned to our table was rude and dismissive. When I requested my burger to be cooked juicy, I was bluntly told it must be well-done or I could choose something else. To add to this insult, the burger arrived as a single patty instead of the double patty I ordered, when enquired a single patty was brought to me the plate was quite literally slammed in front of me without any care or courtesy. This degrading gesture, witnessed and acknowledged by the manager, left me feeling embarrassed and humiliated in front of my family and friends. Desserts were another fiasco, arriving at an unforgivable 9:19 PM after we had to chase the staff three times. The entire evening was a series of delays, disorganization, and disgraceful service. To cap off this miserable experience, the bill included a 12.5% service charge—a final insult after being treated so poorly. I paid it, but it felt more like an additional slap in the face than a reflection of any kind of service we received. The Ivy markets itself as a premium dining establishment, but our experience was far from anything resembling luxury or professionalism. Instead, it was a night of embarrassment, frustration, and regret—one I will not forget for all the wrong reasons. Avoid this restaurant branch if you value your time, your money, or your dignity.

Tiny cocktails , tap water served was two mouthfuls in a glass , obviously want you to pay for everything , no beer on tap . Steak was delicious but not a mushroom or anything on the plate. Sauce an extra steak was 5 pounds extra , snowman pudding was an extra , all in the festive menu for two cost us 176 pounds , would have fed you for two weeks in Morrisons 😂, but it was fully booked so good luck to them . Wasn't overwhelmed for what you pay. Had the fish and chips, fish was very greasy and not the biggest portion. Service wasn't the best either, better places out there.

Another birthday, another Ivy. This is our 5th Ivy that we have visited and it’s safe to say it was a great visit. Last year we visited the Edinburgh Ivy, Glasgow Ivy was equally as great. The service was brilliant, I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name but he looked like Jonny Bravo (nice hair quiff but with a great moustasche) and I think Alice M? (Short hair and glasses) was our other waiter, both were great, attentive, helpful. I really think the service staff are what makes a great visit to the Ivy. The food as usual was very nice and a wrongly delivered item was swiftly changed. We were upstairs in what felt like a more bar styled area than the typical restaurant vibe downstairs. Even with a private party in the Morgan Room we could still chat and enjoy the typically aesthetic Ivy interior. Food wise, the dough sour is always a hot as are the haggis Bon bons. The mozzarella starter with a mix of pecans and fruit was great and the duck curry was spot on! Opted for miniature mince pies for dessert and they were fantastic! Thank you for another great visit

Service was great. Staff were very nice and attentive. The food is okay. The beef in my burger came out burnt so I had to send it back but other than that, everything was okay.

Really enjoyed our visit to The Ivy. Had a lovely drink at the bar to start with. We were then shown to our table and were made to feel very comfortable by the lovely Max. Food was fantastic! It was very comfortable and we will most certainly return.

This was our first stop in Glasgow- tired and hungry and too early to check into our hotel. We could not have stumbled into a better spot to launch our vacation. The decor! The food! The staff! All 11’s. HIGHLY recommend.

Only popped in for a pre-gig drink, lovely place, went upstairs as we weren't dining. Lovely relaxing bar area, bar counter looks like white marble, but lit internally giving a lovely ambience. Fantastic bar staff who really know their stuff when it comes to cocktails, they engaged with my friend to find precisely what she wanted in her cocktail, Great place, will definitely visit again next time I'm in Glasgow ..

Nothing positive to say about our visit! First people into the restaurant on a Sunday morning. Seated at the tiniest table, literally not room to set our order on the table without stacking on top of each other. Set breakfast was very poor. Watery scrambled egg, bacon barely cooked and not even warm. Staff off hand and disinterested. Would have enjoyed a bacon roll in Macdonald’s a 100 times more Never again

Booked a birthday treat for my wife and cannot speak highly enough of the service and consideration provided by waiter ‘par excellence’ Etienne. He offered a level of service that is a credit to the Ivy and himself. He is a natural and firmly put our recent dining experience at Cameron House firmly in the shade, The food was first class too. Thanks Etienne for making it a memorable experience for all the right reasons. Cordialement Monsieur !

We were lucky to get into the private dining room, as the rest of the bar area on both ground and first floor would be best described as hectic to say the least (1 star all round if we had been seated in this area). We were there for a really special occasion and it took for the shift change of staff to realise we had no candle or flowers on our table and to be engaging and really improve our experience. The initial staff we had were lacking initiative to say the least, no drinks order or welcome for the first 15 mins and really just lacking any hospitality skills. The word disappointing is probably the most apt as we had expected so much unfortunately taking the gloss off our celebration. Food was nice, but wouldn't go much further than that - certainly feels £200 was a tad excessive for our experience for 2 adults. Will certainly not rush back

An impressive impromptu visit to The Ivy last night … the lovely guy at the door gave us a table without a booking after we struggled to find a table anywhere in Glasgow on a Friday night! The food was excellent, came out quickly & fantastic service from all the staff. I had the scallops & smoked haddock & salmon fish cake, my fiancé had the cured smoked salmon & beef burger. We have been to The Ivy a few times since it opened in Glasgow & it has always been a great experience. Even sitting at the bar for drinks & nibbles is lovely. The place has a great atmosphere & the interior is gorgeous. It is quite pricey but definitely worth it.

Awesome service and the food is really interesting from the menu perspective. Many different things that they offer from local dishes to more Asian and European inspired. Also for the level of service I think pricing is reasonable. It’s a restaurant for which I will travel back to Glasgow anytime!

Came here for my anniversary yesterday and it honestly ruined the whole day. My napkin was dirty had to ask for one that wasn’t used, my steak wasn’t cooked properly asked for medium rare and it was well done. The Mac and cheese was 70% oil with a little bit of cheese, the waitress even forgot parts of my order and I had to wait for it to be made as it wasn’t on my tab. The table next to me was not cleaned or cleared for the whole time we are in the restaurant. I’ve been to the one in Edinburgh and it’s so much better but not only was it disappointing but it was definitely a waste of money. For the amount of money you spend in there it is definitely not worth it.

The Ivy in Glasgow was nice. As you'd expect. The food and service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. There are way too many menus to choose from frankly, which is a minor gripe, but you do spend a bit too much time choosing across 4 menus, given that I'd already booked on the taste of autumn menu when I booked for my wife's birthday. The staff brought my wife a birthday dessert which was a nice touch. The restaurant is right on the main Buchanan street and easy to find. There are lots of bars to get a cocktail afterwards too if you wish. Service is included in the bill, it is quite expensive but I would definitely recommend it. I couldn't actually find a bottle of wine on any of the menus and wine seemed to be only served by the glass. Might be wrong but I don't think so. Great place.

Third time visiting The Ivy, first time in Glasgow, and again, it was fabulous! Really enjoyed the food and just had a lovely time. We settled on a three course meal, and enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you to the staff for surprising us with a little pudding for our anniversary; it was very thoughtful! (Of course, my fiancée had put a note in the booking about it, but it was still a surprise to her!)

We met here before the theatre and were pleasantly surprised with the cool design and use of space, lots of seating, inside and out, cool chunky wood designs, lots of whisky, spirits and beer taps. The food menu looked good, for mains and snacks but we were just having a drink this time. Clean, accessible toilets, friendly staff, WiFi and music. Great place, we'll definitely be back 👍
