Nice wee local pub, outdoor seating too and plenty of parking. Very good prices on the food menu.

Just had one of the best nights New Year karaoke party This place is full of amazing singers It was like being at a house party ....just brilliant 👍

We did have to wait a while but it's worth it fresh food and drinks

Food is freshly cooked. Have a good menu. Good portions and reasonable prices. Pensioners get a good discount

Waited almost an hour for food each order brought at different times which meant we didn't eat together as a family and when the desserts were brought they were cold...the soup was nice..Apparently they didn't expect the place to be so busy???...and I think they were one short...Maybe we were unlucky but I wouldn't recommend it nor would I go back..very disappointed especially as it was recommended 😔..👎👎👎

Fantastic staff and great atmosphere

Was in for a funeral and was well looked after place just oozed class myself and family loved it and highly recommend it .... Natalie and Anne looked after us and can't thank em enough 10/10

Only pub in the area, Next to Asda supermarket, nice wee menu, Recommend the fish and chips, would go back again for lunch

Cracking wee pub with tasty pub grub. Food served in the lounge is good value for money. If your not in it for the food then in the bar you can have a cold pint, watch the football and play pool or darts.

Had a gender reveal get together for my daughter here, everything was fine until bar staff refused to serve anymore drinks. Saying there was too many people in. I would have thought they were happy with the chance to make good money as it is a quiet pub most of the time. Upon speaking with the bar staff and manager I was met with an absolute obnoxious conversation with the manager confronting my pregnant daughter, I would not recommend this pub for any functions as it seems they are not in frame of mind to listen to the customer. A very disappointing experience .

It was very nice for a quiet drink. Have not been in since December 2019 but think my friends and i will start doing our lunches again. Staff where lovely, Heather was quick to bring our drinks.

Clean ,covid friendly ,lovely helpful staff and huge portions of food when ordering ,fish was huge n tasty .

First day of Level 2 lockdown restrictions in Glasgow - excited at visiting local pub but extremely disappointed. Poor COVID restrictions in place - no GDPR as clipboard in place as track and trace using same pen for multiple users and was left on table for some time even thought people entered the premises. Left and returned in the evening - no track and trace. Table service in place but waited 30 mins with no waitress service - only 2 staff members behind the bar who serviced the regulars - left with no drink. Very disappointed and will not be recommending this pub and will not be returning.

Friendly atmosphere and good prices and clean

Good estate pub. Does good bar food and drink very reasonable. Only gripe is it doesn't have Sky TV so have to go elsewhere if I want to watch a game.

my better half and myself had lunch here great menu,they also have a pensioners menu,where you can have a 2 course for under a fiver or 3 course meal for under 7 pound.the meals were lovely,service was spot on.

So so pub, staff are nice but the meals are a bit disappointing, macaroni was tasteless to a degree and greasy, there was about 16 of us eating together and some had to ask for more chips etc due to small portions, we go in now and then with friends who live nearby but normally only for drinks, we will still go back but will most likely not eat again

We took party of 9 for a Sunday lunch to celebrate a family birthday. Excellent, family run restaurant. Intimate and friendly. Very wide choice menu with generous portions. Owner and staff spoil you but leave you to enjoy meal in your own company. All 3 generations of our family thoroughly enjoyed this experience, but I would also imagine its perfect for a couple to enjoy a quiet meal together.

Went in on a midweek afternoon. Staff were really friendly, the prices were good, good menu selection/deals, nice decor and the food decent pub fare. My one issue was in the back room I sat eating my lunch listening to an auld yin complain about her sore feet for 20 minutes. Dead atmosphere. One thing they should do is make sure there's a wee bit of music or the TV on just to give the place a wee bit more of a lively atmosphere; just purely because of the demographic of the typical customer at certain times. Never gonna be 5 star because of the location as our wee scheme pub but The Black Horse is doing really well for what it is. Deserves a look in when you're about the area.

It's Always a nice quiet place 2 sit down, socialise, eat or drink. 🍴🍺🍷☕🍵I Went 2 the black horse earlier today. The menus have changed but the foods/drinks are still the same. I had a full scottish breakfast (toast with butter, french toast, black pudding, potato scone, fried egg, grilled tomato & bacon with pepper & tomato ketchup) 🍴🍅🍄🍢🍡🍳🍞 & a cup of coffee. 🍵 Also had a 2nd cup of coffee (a refill) after i finished my scots brekie. I took photos of the new menus, my scots breafast & selfie of myself. I posted the images of myself eating out at the black horse on my facebook & instagram profiles. 📷📱I Also posted the images i took of the menus & scots brekie i had at the black horse on google maps of the place online & publicily. I'd give this place a 5 out of 5 stars from me. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 ☺😊👍

Christmas dinner 3rd year again was excellent, service this year a wee bit slow between courses but staff were doing their best and cheery with it. Thank you again Anne, Joan and all staff

Since re-identifying itself, this has become a really good pub with excellent bar staff and good beer. There is lots happening of an evening although I have not taken part.

I really do like the blackhorse. Good atmosphere, only thing that lets it down is the menu, it's not bad but could be better. Also, could have better snacks behind the bar.

Dropped in for a quick lunch what a surprise. They have got rid of the nut cases that used to drink in the pub and done it up. Steak pie chips and macaroni cheese was amazing. Staff friendly to. See they do a meal deal a main course and a glass of wine for £6.50 amazing value can't wait to return.

Once again cannot fault The Black Horse for a wonderful meal on Christmas day, portions were in overload, service was first class, could not have had a better meal in any Michelin starred establishment, the staff as usual were lovely and accomodating to customer needs, Thank you Anne, Alan, Joan and all, sorry not got all the names and five stars to the chef☆☆☆☆☆

Visited twice for food and a drink with family,I can't fault anything about this pub,they've taken over a notorious bar,reinvented it and gave a local community something they never had,a lace o take the family for a good quality meal at a reasonable price in nice surroundings.
