The Inn At Scarcroft in Leeds

Lovely service from Liam we had the brisket sandwich and cheesy mushrooms was delish! Wasn’t anyone in the place, but like I said Liam made it very welcoming and thank you to the chef we very much enjoyed the food!

Absolutely beautiful fish and chips, very friendly service, and a brilliant atmosphere with the quiz night on - which I believe takes place every Tuesday! Big shout out to the friendly Gemma and Maia that looked after us. Definitely worth a visit.

The breaded brie and puy lentil cottage pie were delicious, as were the rib eye steak and tiramisu. Lovely place, good service, will definitely return.

We went here for Sunday Dinner, late in the day. The waiter and waitress were both lovely. Although there wasn't a gluten free menu, they did have all the allergens on an iPad for my husband to see - he went for the hunters chicken and had no issues! Unfortunately, they didn't have the meal 2 of us wanted, so we opted for the sea bass which was a little overcooked. The kids meal was good and came with plenty of peas, they also had colouring in to keep my little one entertained! Overall, a pleasant meal and we would return!

Ordered before 5pm on Tuesday for their 3 courses for approx £21. Great value which i think is available Monday to Thursday. Served by Gemma who was excellent and helpful. Food was good pub food and beer was great too.

Such a nice pub! Came here on Sunday for a Sunday lunch with my family, did not disappoint. I had the trio roast and it was outstanding. The staff were so attentive and lovely. Will definitely recommend to others and will be coming again. Thank you!

My wife and I went for a meal last Tuesday, it was our first time and we were really impressed. We were greeted by Gemma and from the moment we arrived, Gemma and the team could not do enough for us. There are some great options on the menu to suit all and I particularly liked the idea of small dessert portions which came with my favourite coffee as a package price, great idea! We stayed for the pub quiz after our meal. The format of the quiz is that anyone can win a prize, so that was good too and it was free. We will definitely be back, keep up the good work Gemma and the team.

Came in for a drink with some friends, service was grate staff were very knowledgeable would recommend.

The food was delicious. Slight mark down as there was a lot of noise in the bar area even though it wasn't that busy. Visited again today 27th Jan and the food was again delicious. Service This is becoming a regular occurrence. Great food, good service and a good atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back on the 21st for the music!

We ate late lunch at The Inn and I had the steak pie which was excellent. Great portion size and very tasty. Staff very friendly and attentive.

A lovely location. Gemma was very friendly and helpful. I noticed it was dog friendly too a good point to note next time I visit. Not many pubs are. Lovely beer garden. The food was hot and the service quick too. A nice menu as well. Would highly recommend a visit. Definitely on my list to visit again. Was not too busy when I arrived. But it soon began to fill up. A very cosy pub with open fires.

Food was nice but service is slow for drinks and food

Been here a few times before and have had pleasant experiences with good food. Booked to come here for mother's day with my wife, son & Mother in law. Booked for 4pm and arrived promptly at that time. It was busy but not packed. I went up and said my name and that I had booked. Was asked to bear with them as they were clearing tables. I stood there for near 30mins with no communication or anything from anyone. My family found seats and got drinks around 430pm. And I again reiterated I had booked for 4pm. Was told they will be 5 mins tops in coming to get us. We ended up walking out at 5:15pm after no communication. Tables in the bar area around us remained with food and used glasses on them for the entire time we were there. People were having to go up and collect their own coffees that they ordered. Lots of people walked out disgruntled that their booking wasn't fulfilled aswell. It was chaos and I don't they anyone in there knew if it was New Year or New York - let alone Mothers day. Very disappointed and angry when we walked out and had to scramble to find somewhere else to eat at that time for Mother's day. Complete shambles of a day!

First visit yesterday, staff member on the bar was really friendly. Manager was fantastic offering to put my phone on charge and very helpful with the menu. Food arrived quickly, was tasty and great value for money. Great little pub and looked like a lovely beer garden too. Really impressed, was absolutely shattered after a family day out and just ended the day beautifully.

Came here yesterday evening to meet with a couple of friends. I thought we'd try somewhere out of our normal area. It was slightly busy when we arrived so decent atmosphere. Approached the bar to be served and had to wait due to the queue. Me and my friend were waiting and a gentleman who queued up after us got served before us yet we were there before him. Then we went to order food. Again, waiting in line and a woman got served before us and the youngish lass working behind the bar knew we were there before hand yet chose to serve that woman 1st. Nevertheless, we waited a good 40+ mins for our food to arrive. Food was ok. Nothing special. My friend then went to the bar to order a last round of drinks, nobody was at the bar for a good 10mins. The youngish girl came from wherever and was provided with the drinks order but seemed baffled by it. I normally never leave reviews but yesterday's experience had led me to leave this one.

We went for Mothers Day and it was a massive let down. Some of the food was so tough it was inedible as you couldn't get a fork or knife into it. The service was slow, it took 3 hours and we gave up after 2 courses then the bill was challenging to get and sort out as it was wrong and we were forgotten about again after trying to get it amended. Steer clear is my advice.

I was looking forward to a nice 3 course Mothers Day lunch today at The Inn. Arrived 15 minutes early. There was no one to welcome us or show us to our table so stood for 10 minutes at the bar. We had to ask to be seated whilst the bartender eventually served us. Waited another half an hour with the set menu to choose from then, as no one came to take our order, went back to the bar to see what the delay was. Was told the waitress would be there in a moment. Finally ordered about 45 minutes after arriving, but 20 minute’s later there was no sign of our starters. There were only 2 waitresses and a couple of bartenders. They didn’t seem to be working as a team though. Tables had been left uncleared and we never saw any food being delivered to anyone else whilst we were seated. There was a definite air of ‘couldn’t care less’ about the place. Decided not to even bother staying when we heard the people sitting at the next table say they’d been there 3 hours and were still awaiting dessert! We informed the manager we were leaving due to the appalling service. He seemed not to care one way or another at the loss of custom. Totally disappointed by this experience and would have left no stars if I could. Ended up going home and having a takeaway pizza instead. So much for my Mother’s Day treat!!

Fabulous pub in an amazing location. Loads of nice scenic walks nearby and a great stopping off point for food / drinks. Ample parking. Lovely beer garden area in the sunshine! Visited several times and Ben, Gemma and all the team there are working really hard, very welcoming and accommodating. Tried the new menu…..Katsu chicken is highly recommended! Well worth a visit, thank you!

Went for family birthday. 5.30pm so not busy even for a Saturday. Booked using telephone automated service, no problem. Arrived, seated, nice table. Ordered drinks. Waited 30 minutes for drinks to arrive. Given menu. 30 minutes for orders, guess what another 30 minutes to get starter. One poor lad was running around doing the best he could. Apologised fir delays. If you plan to have starter, main and desert put 3hours plus in your brain. Such a pity as food was OK and nice place.

All six of us enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch today at The New Inn, Scarcroft. I was a little sceptical after a few disappointing meals in the past five years but happily surprised today. Pleasant, obliging staff and quick service. Everyone agreed that their meal was delicious. We shall definitely be back!

Sorry to say but when we walked in the pub there was no one there we sat near the fire but it was just smoking we where freezing so we had to move near the radiator we had to wait a while for food while mine was OK my husband had lamb shank but there was nothing to it although the food was 50%off we didn't like to complain we normally eat at your other pub dick Hudson and everything is lovely so sorry to say we will not be returning

Unfortunate Sunday experience, wasted gift. For Christmas, we had arranged to take our grandparents out for a Sunday Roast and agreed to go yesterday 19/01/2025 however, expectations soon lowered. We had a very long wait time to order Drinks once sat down, and a much longer wait for them to arrive. I do believe this was due to staffing issues on the day which sometimes can't be avoided. We then had to flag down a member of staff twice to ask to place our food order, who had apologised and didn't know why a staff member hadn't been over. The starters were good, but unfortunately we left feeling they were better than the mains. Admittedly, it's hard to get melted cheese wrong. The Sunday roasts we received were cold, and the beef grisly and tough which my grandparents and we found difficult to cut with fairly rounded and flat knives. The crackling was a disappointment, heavily overcooked and hard/unpleasant to eat. Once the dishes were served, no one came to ask "How's your food, do you need anything?" to which we would have asked for the food to be reheated. I had hoped for this experience to be something that me, my girlfriend and my grandparents would hold as a special memory but this was entirely overshadowed by poor service and poor main courses. A wasted gift experience.

The service was great! The food was great! There was a very nice atmosphere in the dining room. Every employee was friendly and courteous. We all enjoyed our visit and our meal.

Family went for Christmas day lunch. The food was good which made a change but the service was very slow and we had to chase them up for each course. We were sitting in a room away from the main area so think they forgot we were there!

A quick stop on the way to visit relatives and what a very nice stop off. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. We ordered 3 bar snacks for £12 and they were superb. Home cooked and very very tasty. The prices for everything is very reasonable and ever over this way again would definitely stop here and have a full meal as the menu looked very good.

Disappointed to find somewhere welcoming vaping at a table in the bar while others are eating in this day and age. Didn't see anything on the listing saying that it was allowed but this was quite open and at a table directly in front of and a few feet from the bar where the gentleman who appeared to be the manager was working so I presume it is some sort of commercial decision. I didn't stay for anything to eat in the circumstances so cannot comment on the food but I can't recommend The Inn At Scarcroft - although, should you wish to vape indoors at your table in a pub/restaurant, this is presumably the place for you

I went to the inn at scarcroft on Friday 6th December as we had family down and my waitress was Rebecca, it was refreshing to have someone serve me who knew the menu and her recommendations were spot on, my family really enjoyed the food and service, we will return in the new year

Visited the Inn with an old friend and our children we all really enjoyed our meals. We sat by the open fire which was lovely and cosy! Our waiter Matt was very attentive despite the restaurant being busy for the village’s annual carol singing and brass band which was a bonus for us 🙂 Looking forward to our next visit.

Stopped in as passing by, had the roast lamb which was truly amazing. Cooked to perfection. A selection of larger and wine. Had to try the allotment crumble too which was also very nice. Next time I'm in the area I know where I'll be going for a nice meal.

It was a Wednesday evening, so fairly quiet. It's pretty expensive for out of town.

We were here yesterday afternoon, a very nice and welcoming place, a nice atmosphere especially with the low lights! The food was good and tasty but we would have preferred it hotter, but unfortunately no one came over to see how it was going! Very slow service, maybe 1 more waiter would be needed! Julie was always nice to us even if she was always busy between the bar and the floor!

Nothing good about it. Every aspect needs improvement, it is a disgrace. No one to meet and greet and show to table. Poor lighting bulbs out so asked to move table. Room cold. Food all cold. No salt and pepper on table in restaurant area for Sunday lunch. Not asked if we wanted extra drinks or if food ok. Not enough staff. I had taken my elderly father out for a treat so was very upset.

The Food here is on another level!! This is a beautiful pub/eaterie situated in Scarcroft on Wetherby road. Plenty of parking spaces. We had originally booked for 6pm but was very hungry so called and changed for 5pm without any problem. We we're greeted by Laura who showed us to our table, drinks arrived in no time. I had the Signature Burger Prime steak burger, loaded with Cornish smoked BBQ beef brisket, smoked streaky bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, cheese sauce and mayo, served with beer-battered onion rings. Oh wow this was the best tastiest Burger I have ever eaten. My partner ordered the pan roasted Lamb, Tender lamb rump, served medium, with a mini minted lamb pie, gratin potato, Tenderstem® broccoli and a red wine jus. I have never seen her so quiet and happy when eating a meal. She said it was worth double the price and it was the best meal she had ever eaten. I am not joking here but the Food here is on another level, this is not pub grub. Laura was amazing severing alot of tables being very attentive to everyone nothing was a problem for here. Massive congratulations to Nathan the Chef the Food was beautiful. Can't wait to come back. Anyone in the area or visiting Leeds must pay a visit. OUTSTANDING

While traveling to Leeds we were looking for somewhere quick to stop for a bite to eat. I'm glad this was the pub we came across. The service was great followed by a lovely reasonably priced meal, Staff were prompt and friendly throughout. Wish we could have stayed longer in this quant country pub. Will definitely be stopping by again next time we head to Leeds!!

Our service took a very long time. Some of the food was good, but unfortunately they served us with a burnt pizza, overcooked garlic bread and undercooked and underseasoned potatoes.We didn’t complain at the time as we waited so long, so we made an effort to eat it. The rest of the food was tasty with a very excellent pie and burger, but considering this pub wasn’t cheap, we were overall disappointed.

Went to the Inn on the 23rd with my wife we havnt eaten here in a number of years due to thinking the food had fallen off... we had the bar snacks would 100% recommend they are great value for money, large portions size and very fresh tasting... Great little menu If your peckish Then I ended up back there later in the evening with my friends. They where very empty and said we would normally closed they kept the place open until thier normal closing time to accommodate us. Great customer service and great food good to see the Inn back on top form

First visit to The Inn at Scarcroft and I’m afraid it will be our last. Booked a last minute table for early Sunday evening and I thought it was unusual to have availability. I didn’t need to book, the place was nearly empty when we arrived. We had to find someone to tell them we had a booking and we were told to sit anywhere. We both ordered Sunday dinner and when the food came it became apparent why this place was empty. The rosy belly pork was overcooked on the outside and really tough. The roast potatoes were hard, parsnips and carrots over cooked and soggy. The pork came with a “baked apple” which was cold and looked like it had been baked two days before. Very disappointing - it’s not hard to serve good, fresh food - I’m sure our food had been in a warmer at least since lunchtime, it certainly wasn’t fresh.

There was a large group of us all paid separately....Monday 12th lunch....no bread ..no ciabatta...limited salad and took so long to get the food..not sure it will be the local WIs choice of gathering again..there was 20 ish of us..staff friendly think let down by kitchen staff x

Updated review (previous rating 5) The staff are still fantastic and the atmosphere is super friendly. The place has become extremely tired though, verging on dirty in some places. Inside and out. Food has taken a hit of a nose dive too, expensive and quality has decreased a lot. I'm sure a lot of this is down to head office supply/pricing. We used to eat here at least every two weeks and now not so much sadly.

My food had been nuked to death in the microwave unfortunately. The location itself has potential, but it needs money spending on it to fix damp and rot issues.

Lovely village feel to this pub, just off the A58 Wetherby Road. Free parking, good beer, wine and larger selection (and Black Sheep). Sensible prices and friendly staff.

Visited the Inn at Scarcroft yesterday for the first and I cannot say enough how well I was treated there. The food was amazing and they offer a wide range of drinks at the bar. I was served by someone with blonde curly ish hair - I believe his name was Jake - and he was brilliant. Will be returning soon

Booked Father's Day lunch for 2pm!!!! Very busy, as expected on " my day " However, arrived at 2pm, order taken and starter served within a short time. THEN A 55 MIN WAITE for the main course!!!! The veg were SOLID & UNCOOKED, could not eat! By this time it was 3-45pm and, although, we intended to have a pudding, NO WAY FOR FURTHER DELAY. Living close by, this is our local and we had a great Mother's dayl lunch. We normaly, visit on a regular BUT now think again

Our first visit to The Inn at Scarcroft and certainly won't be our last! We thoroughly enjoyed our food which was cooked well and well presented and although having a dog, was a lovely area to be seated in. The set menu was generous and the staff very friendly. Dog friendly. Looking forward to returning!

barman seemed to be on his own as it wasn't that busy but he did an excellent job. was very friendly and attentive. would definitely return there again..had some bar snacks which were amazing. onion rings,halloumi fries, and cheesy garlic bread all for £10.

Visited the pub on a Tuesday around noon. Nice place but won't visit again due to mediocre food and slow service. We were the only ones in the dining area and it took a while to be served. Tried to order Brie bites and they were out. Not sure why the kitchen didn't notice this and scratch it off of the menu for the day especially when they just open. It took time to get our drinks, starters, and main. Hate to see this place on a Sunday afternoon. Safe to say we won't be coming back.
