Lovely place to go staff were very friendly, The food was okay. it was just a shame my lamb on my roast was chewy and a bit over cooked for my liking, decent portion sizes for your money over all would go again and would recommend.

Disappointed and upset. Charging me £4 to bring me one glass of prosecco is absolutely shocking but also charging £20 in total to bring us four drinks!!!

Lunch on a sunny day and it was absolutely perfect. Great service, very attentive staff, good food and a nice relaxed garden atmosphere. Sandwiches with chips all round. Steak sandwich and the cod sw were excellent...and filling! Kids cheeseburger and chips are big enough for an adult. Many thanks, we'll be back (again)

We have been to the Belfairs Inn on a number of occasions and have never had any issues previously. However, on 5 April 2025at lunchtime we were given non existent and, at best, awful service. We were seated outdoors promptly once we arrived, with drinks and food taken within 5/10 minutes. The drinks were brought over pretty quickly. We had only ordered sandwiches so questioned a staff member after 25 minutes as to where they were. A further 20 minutes passed where the same staff member asked if we wanted any more drinks. We refused and asked if he’d actually taken our order; he laughed and assured us he had and that the food would be a couple of minutes. 15 minutes passed (1 hour total) before we requested the bill and told the same waiter to cancel our order. Without any form of apology, the waiter smiled and said the bill would be right over. 5 minutes later and the bill still had not arrived. Apparently it takes time to remove items from receipts. We told the staff that we would be walking out in 10 minutes if the bill isn’t issued by then. Bang on 10 minutes later (15 minutes for a bill) it arrived and he had the cheek to include the service charge on it. I could appreciate the delays if the place was busy, however it was no where near capacity and people who arrived after us ate before us. No empathy, no apology and no service. Very poor.

We went there today. A great pub in a nice picturesque setting. I ordered the beef sandwich with crisps. When it arrived I opened the sandwich to check it and what confronted me was probably the worse piece of beef I've seen in my life, about 75% - 80% of it was fat and gristle and looked absolutely disgusting. I paid £11.95 for this car crash of a sandwich. Never again.

Food was overpriced for the standard . It was just over priced pub grub , so it's just a pub moonlighting as a restaurant. They have such a lovely restaurant it's a shame they don't make quality food

Rude went there Sunday just to get granson a drink and 2 coffees to be told you got 29 minutes then go .. yet all the tables out side was empty . Avoid if you got Little’s one 😡

Visited on sunday, food was outstanding all cooked to perfection, even down to the cauliflower cheese, large Yorkshire pudding and lashings of home made gravy, stunning! thanks to the chefs and all the team and the waitresses and front staff, all an absolute credit to the inn, thank you for a great lunch and service x

Great for afternoon tea or a lovely meal out with family and friends !! We went for our 1st anniversary on monday night and were surprised to have the resturant to ourselves, it was quiet but the setting is lovely and our waitress "Chole" was brilliant and looked after us all evening. Our food was excellent and beautifully presented, the slow cooked beef and the ribeye steak both perfectly cooked and as for my desert of treacle and pecan tart it was to die for !! We met the young chef and complimented him on his food and left full and very happy !! Keep up the good work we will be back again soon !! Gray & Wendy

Booked Sunday lunch at The Inn At Belfairs for 20 family members to celebrate my wife’s 70th birthday. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and brilliant service. Particular thanks to Hope and Blake who worked their socks off! Will definitely return.

I’ve been to The Inn several times, it’s such a beautiful restaurant and the food is delicious. We manage to get a Christmas Day booking and they did not disappoint from the food to the service. Every dish was perfectly prepared, and the flavours were incredible. The staff went above and beyond, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed. We can’t wait to return!

We chose two courses off the festive menu. It has to be the worst food I have had in a long time. My pie was only half cooked, it was tasteless and I couldn't even get my fork into the one brussell sprout that was on my plate. The potatoes were overcooked. Why does the standard of food decline during the Christmas period 🤔

Went as part of very large group. Table service for drinks was unexpected so very well received. Food service was extremely efficient with so many of us. Meals were very good, hot and well presented. My first visit here and I was extremely impressed.

Nice food, great staff always attentive and it's table service outside. The outside area is very pleasant, they have made great improvements with all the tables having parasols and the grass is now lush. Staff always asked us if we wanted anymore drinks and when we ordered the service was quick. Highly recommended 👌

2 weddings & a anniversary 😀 In the last four weeks we have been here 4 time’s & can’t say enough goods thing about the place. Whether we are talking about the lovely food or how accommodating the management & staff have been. On the whole we are very happy with our visits here & can’t recommend The Inn At Belfairs enough.

My sister had her wedding reception here. It is, personally my favourite place to be. The food is amazing the decor and atmosphere is so lovely indoors and out and the staff are the best around! Rather upmarket restaurant on the edge of golf course & woods. Has been upgraded in recent times & consequently the food tends to be rather expensive. Visited mid morning for a birthday breakfast. Indoor eating very quiet but, due to good weather, the outdoor area was quite busy for that time of day.

Go here if you like raw veg with your roast. Granted, the roast potatoes and meat were lovely. However, I couldn’t even cut through the green veg (who serves mange tout with a roast anyway?). Literally a desert spoon of gravy under the potatoes. Waitress tried to explain that they cook the veg al dente. I know what al dente is and this was raw. After being sent back to the kitchen, more raw veg was brought out. Waitress was very apologetic but nothing was resolved and I left feeling a bit robbed considering it was £25 each + drinks. Won’t be returning.

I had 4 thin slices of ham, 1 egg & a few chips at a ridiculous price of more than £17. No culinary skills. That plate in the way it was made would cost me less than a fiver in my own kitchen.

Food OK, not brilliant, service slow, quite nice conservatory area. I would try this place again just to see if it was just one of those days today. We've been there again, the food and service was really good, it's great you can bring dogs to the outside covered area, we will definitely go again 👍🏼

Good location and atmosphere. The table service is excellent, but we were a bit put off by the service charge that was automatically added. I tried to order at the bar but was sent back to my table. I assume this was to ensure the service charge payment went through. Seems very cheeky to me. The Level Head beer by Greeneking was fabulous though!

We only had coffee and puds. My daughter loved the waffle.

I came today with my friend for afternoon tea and can say with out any doubt it was wonderful and really lovely selection of savoury foods. The staff busy but attentive. My first afternoon tea at the inn however I’ve eaten very many times there previously. I’m a bit of a connoisseur on afternoon tea and it’s definitely on par if not better than my old favourite fortnum and mason … the only thing I’d say is that the cakes were very sweet. It may have been nice to have been offered an alternative for example the cake in the cold fridge. But having said that the Belfairs inn truly knows what an afternoon tea is about. Thank you for an un rushed and very enjoyable experience .

Very busy but excellent service.

Visited on a Monday lunchtime, actually found it difficult to find the entrance, however once inside it's a lovely place and atmosphere with friendly staff and food was great.

We took our mum for Mother’s Day lunch. The was delicious, between us we had all courses. It would have been 5 stars but we only had a 2 hour window for our table, but it was a busy day and the service was efficient. All mums at the table were also given a candle as we left. Will definitely be going back.

Amazing Mother’s Day meal. All the food was brilliant, and the kids enjoyed theirs also. The Roast is 100% worth a go, and great portion. And the deserts. Perfect! The staff are great and you don’t have to wait long for anything, they are brilliant.

I attended The Inn at Belfairs on the 27th February 2024 this was my first time dining here. It was a very pretty decorated venue and cozy inside. I was with a group of 8 friends having dinner. I ordered the breaded brie off the specials menu. This was delicious and was shared with my husband who ordered the meze from the main menu, the falafel's were the best I have ever eaten and both were amazing starters. For my main I ordered the Inn burger. The burger was enormous and held together with a skewer topped with onion rings. Due to it's sheer size I removed the "lid" of the bun and did not eat it. I tackled the burger with a knife and fork, which was also very nice, tasty burger. However about a few bites in I struggled to cut into the burger and noticed something poking out between the 2 beef burgers. I pulled it out and discovered a large piece of thick plastic packaging. It had evidently been cooked with the burger as it had gone quite hard and melted. I checked the rest of the burger which was fine and placed it on the side of my plate. At this point the waitress returned to check everything was ok with our meals. I called her over and showed her the plastic that was in the burger. she very quickly apologised and offered to make another fresh one. I told her that I had checked and there was nothing else wrong, plus my friends had already been served up and eating theirs. She told me it must be the packaging around the burgers. I told her that I was surprised this wasn't picked up during the cooking process as surely they are flipped on both sides? The waitress just picked it up and took it away. As a group, my friends and I all said that we were surprised that I wasn't offered a complimentary drink or dessert or indeed a refund of my main meal. I probably wouldn't order a burger here again as it put me off. But the rest of the food here all looked really tasty.

Went for a 80th birthday, very friendly, amazing location with good views

Lovely food served in a lovely environment by lovely staff. Would highly recommend this restaurant and we look forward to going back.

What a fantastic night. We had a 60th birthday celebration here with over 25 people, ranging in ages of 4 months to over 70. The staff, food and atmosphere was perfect. The staff were attentive without being in your face. The food excellent and the kitchen managed to get everybody’s food out at the same time, which is not easy when catering for so many. The portion size was very good and the quality of the food was lovely. The decoration of the venue is good. It’s not the cheapest place to eat and drink but I think it was worth every penny. Will definitely come here again.

Met up with friends for coffee and cake. Disappointing. Only two types of cake available. Identical chocolate sponge, one with Nutella filling and the other was Salted Caramel with nuts. Really had expected a much better selection. Portions with large and came with whipped cream. However both types of cake were dry and had definitely been around for more than a few days. I hadn’t arranged the get-together otherwise I’d have sent mine back. We did comment on the staleness to the waitress and she apologised. Plenty of parking round the back but park on the road if you have a mobility issue as the ground’s a bit uneven in the parking area. Do I recommend? From our experience, no. Will I go back? No

I eat and drink at this place quite often. I really like the setting, the staff are amazing. The food is not cheap, similar to dining out in London. On the last few occasions I have eaten here the food appears to have gone down hill quite a bit. On more than one occasion we have sent food back as it appears to be have been reheated. Parts of the dish are inedible. Last night unfortunately was the same. We had chips as a side dish. They were rock hard. Couldn’t even stick a fork in them. The main part of our meal was okay. Couldn’t be bothered to send the whole dish back, just left them. What disappoints me most is that the chef would have known this, but still thought it fine to send them out. The owner of this place has gone to great lengths to make it a success, but I think he needs to have a word with his chef.

We was so excited for this, but was so disappointed ☹️ if the pictures were real that they show you after of what you “apparently” eat then it looks pretty on the eye but definitely NOT on the pallet £130 for 2 of us and that was only purchasing a glass of wine one and 1 beer on top of our £45 ppph .. I actually feel sick. fillet of squid as a main on chef’s recommendation 😲 more like chefs can’t get rid of choice. It was in edible with teeth or knife and filled with one tbsp of rice if you was lucky. We Was starving so eat the dessert which was definitely an enquired taste which left us feeling very sick. Straight home for a slice of toast I think.

As we had a dog we sat in the covered outside area where dogs were allowed. It was warm but not welcoming, floor was damp and rain had come in through the gap in plastic curtain. The seats were hard and felt damp. If you going to have a dog area make it a more comfortable and pleasant area for all. Saying that the staff were attentive and the meals were good, no complaint there. Have been before but always sat inside for lunch (minus dog) which was great.

Visited here at 3.30pm in Jan, so possibly a quiet time of year. Really good menu (nice vegan options too). Good service at atmosphere, will return.

We booked the fire pits for Xmas and had a large group mix of kids and adults, can’t fault the service our waitress /host was lovely and very patient. Hot chocolates were amazing however the food was terrible ..vegetable curry had potato and cauliflower and not much of it ..burgers were cheap over cooked and just a bit of raw onion and lettuce and hand full Of chips ..adult bolognese was a kids portion and they were not cheap ..disappointing to say the least and think you let yourselves down massively with the quality of food for the price.

Customer service tip - next time your card machine fails, accept it as a known fault of your machine and don’t confront your customer. Really unpleasant exchange with the team there, which lets the place down massively. We went for the s'mores and BBQ evening, paying for food and drink as we went along rather than figuring out the bill at the end (group of five adults, six kids) Final payment of £10 for the s'mores failed - according to the staff there (who offered up that is happens with their machines sometimes) According to my banking app, the payment went through. I had a ‘Money Out’ notification on my Home Screen which I showed the staff and explained that, to me, it looked like the payment had already hit my account. Cue a very uncomfortable few minutes of going back & forth on what was right - their machine, or my phone. I said I wasn’t comfortable ignoring my phone and potentially paying twice. I told them it was my birthday and had my children there, I didn’t want to carry on creating a scene… I suggested we just leave it and my two children would not have the s’mores (despite paying for it) The manager gave me a slip of paper with her name on it and told me to call back if the payment went through after all. It was only after I strongly encouraged her to use her discretion rather than letting my children being the only two without s’mores which is what she was going to do! I pointed out we’d already spent a lot of money and the fault was clearly their machine and nothing else. She did use her discretion in the end but it was an ugly confrontation and spoilt the evening. I am so gutted by the customer service here.

Living just 10 minutes down the road we have always said we'd love to come here and never have. My partners parents came down for the day and we thought let's come here and have a festive meal. Well what can I say the food...

First visit here, had lunch with friend. It was busy but service was very good and friendly. We had just had sandwiches which were freshly prepared and very nice. The main menu wasn't overly expensive but sufficient choice if we had wanted a full meal. Not rushed out after we'd eaten, we sat and enjoyed a cup of tea after our dessert. Plenty of parking too.

Unfortunately this was my first and last visit. We had an issue wirh the food, and instead of an apology it was confrontational. The dessert was included which I ordered, nothing to rave about. Such a shame, I had high hopes.

We booked for our friends 50th birthday lunch and some of us was late (sorry!) but Liv our waitress was so accomadating and even let us stay an extra hour and sorted out the following booking to another table for us. Food was amazing along...

Over 40 W I members enjoyed a superb Christmas lunch today. Excellent service from such pleasant staff. The festive decorations made the whole experience just what we hoped for a lovely time.
