The food was incredible and a great atmosphere for a large group of 12, we were very well looked after. We will definitely be going back!

We recently visited The Indus restaurant at Conisbrough, it is the first time we had been which was through an invite for our friends Paul and Tracy's Birthday celebrations, I must say the food and service is excellent and would highly recommend to anyone, we had a buffet and the choice of foods were marvellous, me and my wife both said we would definitely visit again without any doubt.

Went for a friends birthday. We were upstairs as it was a party for around 80. The buffet style food was delicious great opportunity to try different types of food. There was different curries to try, samosas , rice, chips, nanny bread etc. The food just kept coming. The staff were lovely making sure we were looked after. Great place great food definitely going back

Fantastic restaurant with great food and good prices. The food was amazing, definitely the best Indian I have had in a long time. The atmosphere was not great however as they had packed lots of people into the small space so it was very loud. Someone in our group has ADHD and left early as the restaurant was too crowded and packed and was making them overstimulated and anxious. So while the food is great I do not recommend eating in for anyone who has anxiety in busy spaces, they do offer takeaway though

Really enjoyed our meal, amazing portion and freshly cooked.

The all you can eat buffet costs about £20 and the quality is very well made. The waitresses are very attentive.

We went on Saturday and there were two large groups . One group of young males were very loud and thuggish and spoilt the atmosphere and it became noisy and unpleasant. The other large group were fine but I think they move the venue from a stylish restaurant to more of a Christmas party feel . It's a shame as the food was very good . No Cobra beer ( not sure why) and tepid bottles of Estrella lager meant no ice cold drinks which is really important with Indian cuisine. They were apologetic about the large group ,but our small ( family) evening was not a comfortable one . Shame as the food was excellent.

Amazing place for good food and a great night out. The whole thing from start to finish was fabulous. Having had many takeaways from here all which were fantastic decided to get the full experience and eat in, the staff were friendly and very attentive and the selection of drinks at the bar was just as good as the dining menu. 30 mins late, part of the order missing so tried to ring the restaurant but it seemed like the phones was off due to it not ringing. Tried several times to ring but no luck

The food was really tasty. Had lamb karahi, chicken jalfrezi, chicken tikka masala and allo saag.

We were excited to try the new menu and wow it was delicious! For starter myself and partner shared the seek kebab with mozzarella it was tasty, fresh and plentiful, for mains I had the haddi ghost (lamb on the bone in curried sauce) it was succulent and cooked to perfection five star dish for me , and the house special again with lamb and mince and potato, a taste sensation with spices and just the right level of heat. We were welcomed into the restaurant by Aff and Leoni and looked after by Yasmin, Izzy and Charlotte what a dream team, perfect food with fabulous service and so well priced thank you team indus 💗

I have just visited the indus for a evening meal with my family.. This was the first time we have been to this venue, I can honestly say, it will not be the last..I have got to say we were treated like royalty from the very start.. the food was absolutely amazing and the staff could not do enough for you...I have been to many of Indian restaurants across Doncaster, and I've got to say this is far the best.. well done Naz..👍

7 of us visited Indus for the first time last night and were very impressed with the whole experience. Parking was plentiful, free and right next to the restaurant, upon arrival we were shown promptly to our table in the very tastefully designed dining area, there are long tables for larger groups and lovely little booths for smaller parties, all looked very stylish and the restaurant was extremely clean. We were given a drinks menu and there were plenty of options to choose from, including alcohol free for the drivers, we thought £16 for a bottle of wine was great value, they also brought us a jug of free iced water for the table with lemon and limes which was a nice touch. Our food was genuinely the most tasty and varied flavours we have had from an Indian restaurant in a long time, we love Indian food but have really struggled to find any restaurants outside of London, Manchester and Glasgow that can compete, but Indus really is outstanding. I can highly recommend the lamb chops for starters and the naga was delicious. Some Indians seem to be be afraid to add much heat to a curry but this really packed a punch, lots of depth of flavour as with all the curries we had, the 5 adults all shared our different dishes, they were all unique. We had two children with us who didn't want Indian food but that was no problem, there were options to choose from and the staff even happily knocked up a cheese and mushroom omelette for my daughter which she really enjoyed. The staff couldn't do enough for us, it was our first time at Indus but definitely won't be the last, it could be our new favourite place. We'll done Indus, keep up the great work.

It was my first time in Doncaster and first time at Indus. It was a fantastic restaurant, will definetly be making the trip again, worth the 1.5 hours journey! Amazing customer service and delicious food! The owner was very welcoming and took time out to speak to us and very accommodating staff overall. Definetly recommend to all.

missing my garlic naan, mushroom rice wasn't very nice this time nor was the starter for 2 very disappointed

Excellent food and service. Staff friendly and helpful. Great surroundings, decor Excellent. Not over crowded so feels like you get extra attention. Got end of night commentary drink nice touch. Would highly recommend and will defo be going back.

Visited tonight with 3 friends who love a good curry. The staff were first class and very knowledgeable. Our food was absolutely 1st class. The best I have had in a while. I had the lamb pathia and it was so tender and tasty. Superb all round. Our young waitress recommended the stuffed paratha naan. Again 1st class. Well done everyone and thank you.

We booked a table for two this evening for 6pm (28th April) as it was our wedding anniversary but when we arrived the Restaurant was all locked up, a staff member who also was waiting to work explained that their had been a family wedding and they were delayed, what a shame that they didn't call us to explain what had happened to save us a journey. Didn't want to give a poor rating as we don't know what experience we would have had.

Lovely experience. We originally booked a table for 20 people and unfortunately had last minute cancellations on the day, the staff were very understanding and accommodating. Great food, and outstanding service from the staff.

Given a time for collection then message saying it would be late.Then another message 5 minutes later to say it was ready. Collected and set off home to receive a phone call that they had forgotten to put the raita in. I explained that we lived quite a distance away and it wasn’t worth turning round to pick it up. The girl on the phone said ok next time you order we’ll get a free one? It wouldn’t be free would it,I’d already paid for it! Anyway this was a few weeks ago and they’ve obviously been paid for something I didn’t receive and I have no idea when we’ll be back because in all fairness,the food was just mediocre,nothing special at all.

Had a take out and half our meal was missing was promised what was missing would be here within 10 mins and it turned up 40 mins later needless to say the meals that come first was cold tried ring and it just rung off the hook very disappointed

Last time I ordered I ordered popadoms and starters and I asked for mint yoghurt sauce and was told I get it free with either the popadoms or starters I can’t remember witch. This time I have ordered popadoms and starters but this time I have no yoghurt mango or onion salad. Also I asked for 4 propa dons and they have given me 2. I don’t mind paying for a pickle tray if needs be but don’t tell me 1 time I get it free then the next I expect it so don’t order 1 and there isn’t 1. If I new I wasn’t going to get it I would have ordered it but ur contradicting and now I have popadoms with no pickle tray. Thanks!!

Pompoms cooked in old oil nan's pre cooked? Main chicken dish poor, the mushrooms rice a joke ! Pilau with mushrooms dumped on top. The end

Just had a delivery, naan bread was plain and cold was supposed to be garlic, lamb curry was extremely greasy,will not be ordering again, the only good thing was it was delivered on time

Went for a valentines meal, was quickly seated, the staff appeared well presented, pleasant and very accommodating, the food came really quick hot and tasty, the drink was lovely, the room was lovely decorated to theme, was beautiful along with soothing soft music, our first visit was thoroughly enjoyed, nothing was too much, was even asked if we would like containers to take away our left over food. Cant wait to visit again well worth the visit. Thankyou.

Ordered from here 3 other times before and every other time has been spot on, but this last time just wasn't it. Preordered food for 6:10, it didn't come til almost 7pm, most of it was cold and they missed out my partners chapati. Such a shame as I loved it the other times and had no issues!

This place is excellent. Reasonable prices, excellent food and usually good service aswell. The menu is extensive and offers a great range of fantastic items. I have visited this restaurant a number of times and always left very happy. I would certainly recommend this indian restaurant to others.

Have been to this place a few times but only just got round to doing the review. Buffet night is very popular. The buffet is small but tidy, everything is fresh and less is definitely more. The restaurant is very clean and the buffet is excellent value for money. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is suitable for families and small parties. There is a conference room available for larger parties. The staff are knowledgeable on the menu options.

Order over 20 minutes late, and some of the food was smashed .It's not the best I've had :(

ordered and it got delivered 20minutes late (very busy and popular restaurant so i give them my due) when i received it it was cold and the naan was very hard, rang the restaurant and they said straight away they will send out a brand new one, just received it! very happy that it’s warm and fresh thank you so much for resolving my problem 🙏

The Indus Restaurant exceeded all of my expectations for a dining experience. Upon entering the owner was polite and well mannered and I was able to see a clear sense of pride he had for his restaurant along with a level of respect each member of staff had for their customers treating them as part of a family. This establishment was recommended highly by a peer of mine and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the business as a whole. From the service to the hospitality all the way down the food I have nothing but praises for the restaurant as well as all the staff involved. It took me back to some classic flavours with their own house twists creating a modern yet unique style of cuisine. I would highly recommend to anyone to take part in their menu and will surely revisit sometime in the near future.

Don't even deserve one star!! Read and learn!!..... I visited Indus two weeks ago with my friends, their customer service is dire. To say their methods and service are truly apalling is an understatement. Cut a long story short we found hairs in 2 different dishes we ordered, and the manager wasn't very bothered at all  hygiene is a must!  The personel was far too arrogant and inattentive to the needs of the customers and charged us fully even though we didn't touch anything in the end we had to leave and go to another place, as we didn't want to order more food from this restaurant! the staff is careless and doesn’t care much about food safety. Out of all of the restaurants in the area, we chose to spend our time and money at yours  and this is how you treated us ??

Well what can I say, other than we absolutely chose the right place! On a journey from south to north we looked for a well reviewed Indian restaurant and can honestly say it was amazing. Starters and mains were great, service, cleanliness, people, food, atmosphere - all very impressive. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Ordered at 5.40, eventually came at 8pm, my son in law had actually driven up to the restaurant as they weren't even answering the phone for us to be able to see what was happening, he had just got there when the order arrived at home. Once the food got here we had to put it all in the microwave to warm it up as it was cold. If they had just answered phone we could at least have an an expectation of when it was going to arrive. Alot of money wasted as we didn't really enjoy it after it all had to be warmed up.

Our delivery time was 19:00-19:20. Our food didn't arrive until 20:00. Between 19:30 and 20:00 I attempted to call the restaurant about 20 times, it just kept ringing and ringing, no answer. Sometimes it would even go onto "user busy", so they were answering other peoples calls but not mine. Eventually it came at 20:00, without any notification that they were busy and it would be late, it was showing as delivered on this app at 19:25 and it hadn't even been delivered! Delivery driver was lovely

If I could give 0 stars I would!!! We ordered at 6pm using their website. The website was saying the order will be delivered at 7.20pm. At half 7 we started calling to find out whether the food will ever be delivered and the phone line was off. For half an hour, we kept calling (23 times!) and no response. At 8.15pm they called us to tell us they don’t have one of the starters we ordered. The food was finally delivered at 9pm!!! This is a joke, 3 hours since the order was placed and couldn’t even get hold of them to find out what’s happening… avoid at all costs to order from this restaurant.

Drove from Doncaster! That’s how good this place is, food was still piping hot when arrived home 35 minutes later! Best Indian restaurant around!

Visited for the first time tonight and had a fantastic first experience! We arrived on the off chance as they were fully booked and luckily managed to get a table, they did need it back by a certain time but that was ok and we stayed. The staff were so lovely and attentive, especially Naz, and the food was amazing! We will definitely be back! Thank you for having us! Ryan & Vicki, PS we won’t add the extra spice next time LOL.

Came last Friday for my birthday. was told table was for two hours from 6.30pm. at 7.40 the manager came and asked if we could move to the bar as they needed the table. He said he would make sure seats were available in the bar. At 7.50 he came again to ask us to move at which point we left the restaurant!! Very disappointing.

We’ve been here numerous times for buffet night and sit down meals, Friday we decided to order a takeaway, even though we live 25 minutes away the food was still piping hot when we got home. Hands down the best Indian I’ve ever been too. Generous portions and the food is sensational!!

Probably the best Induan restaurant experience we've had in years. Very welcoming staff, swift service, excellent surroundings and of course delicious food in large portions. Great value for money and we shall very returning (already booked for next month).
