Had a dine in there. Worst meal ever I experienced in my life. Staffs were very rude and rushing for the table. Owner were pushing for drinks. When it came for bill they overcharged me by adding extra drinks. Very disappointed. Must avoid

I visited with my wife and kids few weeks ago on Satur day. Food were very tasty. We ordered some cocktails, Virgin Mojito, Espresso Martini and Porn Star Martini. All the cocktail are well presented by Waiter Baccu and made by Bar man Wahid Ali. Cocktail are very delicious, tasty, mouth-watering and pleasing satisfying. I spoke to Mr Wahid Ali, he is very gentle man, friendly, polite, accommodating, engaging, charming.

This is usually our favourite restaurant for Indian food. On Friday 8th March it just didn’t hit the usual high standard of food and was just “average”. Can’t explain why except the staff seemed different - and maybe the chef was different too? We usually love the home style food here but just a little disappointed this time around…..

Seated quickly but the wait to be served for drinks was a short while. The fork was dirty had to get another. The selection of food on the all you can eat menu was not a lot. There was 4 or 5 different curries, rice, and some veggie options. Poppadoms were included but naan bread wasn’t, which was unusual for an indian. Considering the reviews and how busy the establishment was i did expect a little more variety. That being said the food was nice and apparently the dishes change every week. Would i visit again? Yes i probably would. However i would advise the staff that when a customer presents an issue like a drink taste off when they have had 2 others not to answer back by saying “it came out of the same tap but whatever if your not happy fine” Im not one to complain I normally leave it but i had to say something as the taste was off on this one drink. It makes the experience one to remember in a bad way, just a bit of advice. Ide give this establishment a 3.5/5.0 Due to the lack of verity and also the service. Again would visit again but not for a little while.

Won't be ordering again, madras was tasteless and oily. Not seen slices of chicken tikka before, usually chunky pieces? Dopiaza had too much onion. Rice and naan okay I guess. Ate in recently and quality was better but takeaway was really disappointing!

We used to love this place and at one time, visited every week. We decided to give it a go, after some time away. I’m very sad to say that it was disappointing. Positives - Onion Bhaji’s were lovely and side salad nice. Onion rice was lovely Nan bread was good Negatives - Diet cokes were flat, we checked the underside of the cans and we were sold Diet Cokes that were out of date, sold at the full price- unforgivable!! That shouldn’t be allowed - see photo. Chicken Tikka Balti - not great. It was like a curry my Mum used to make in the 80’s! It didn’t have complexity of flavour and was just one heavy gravy. This isn’t how this place used to make this dish. Chicken was also tough and stringy ! Chicken tikka dhansak - as above. Chicken was tough and the curry lacked flavour. Back to the Bombay Quay for us, I think! Chicke

Ordered a take away tonight 21/4/23, after you were recommended by the people of Northwich. We ordered starter of poppadoms with a selection of chutneys. Food arrived at 9pm all fine but no poppadoms, so annoyed. We now have chutneys which are a waste of money. Our last take away arrived pizza but without the chips. What is wrong with Northwich takeaways!!!

Ordered chips and a side salad. Put on order just lettuce and onion as allergic to cucumber and tomato. Ordered it for 7pm. Didn't receive it until 725pm! Not impressed at all

We waited 1 hour and 20 mins for our food to be delivered only for it to be missing a main meal. I called and spoke to someone who apologised and advised they would be back with it in ‘2 secs’, however it never arrived nor did we receive a refund. Very disappointed as we wanted to try here for a while but won’t be returning!

Ordered a takeaway to be delivered. Arrived 20 minutes after the requested time and was only warm. Had to put it in the oven to heat it up. Both meals, Chicken Balti and Tandoori king prawn masala lacked meat and consisted mainly of sauce with huge chunks of onions covered in sauce. Had takeaways from here before but never this poor.

It’s is several years since I’ve eaten out. We’ve got use to Indian an takeout. So pleased we ate at The Indian. Great service, excellent food a traditional Indian restaurant.

Spent an excellent evening at the Indian restaurant on Castle In Northwich. There is nothing I can fault about the place. First class service. Excellent prices. The food was fantastic. Can’t recommend this place highly enough & will certainly be returning. Thank you. G Hudson

Have had many takeaways and sit in meals here and quality always excellent. Tonight we had set meal takeaway plus onion bhajis. The meal was perfectly cooked, high quality and full of meat in every meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

I loved this place but it went downhill during covid lockdowns Thought I'd give it another try but I wish I hadn't We got a take away and all the meats were dry, probably microwaved, certainly not cooked fresh Won't be trying it again

We visited here having just returned from a holiday and have been back a number of times since. One of the best meals we’ve had. Each time we come the food is a high standard, served hot and delicious. Great quality and generous portions. The staff and service is brilliant too. Takeaway is offered as well as dine in. Good selection of drinks at the bar, something for everyone. Lovely decor too with ample parking to the rear. Can’t recommend this place enough. We’ll be back.

We have been getting takeaways from here over the passed 12 years we have lived in Northwich. Always very tasty, fresh and such a friendly team. Can't recommend enough. Enjoy!

We often have meals from The Indian and they NEVER disappoint. Tonight we tried something different and it was incredible - try the lamb biriyani with a Korma sauce on the side. The flavour is amazing. Everyone else in our family thoroughly enjoyed their meals too!! Thank you for a delicious dinner!!

The food is consistently good; both eating in and take out. I ordered on New Years Eve and the delivery was made in icy weather with a free bottle of beer, as due to a mix up the delivery was late. I always use The Indian when ordering a meal in, and have never been disappointed.

We ordered a takeaway this evening and on arrival back home noticed a couple of items missing, five minutes later...The Indian team delivered the remainder of the order with a huge apology and a friendly smile. Really impressed how they recovered the situation so quickly and well. BTW the food was delicious as ever.

Just had a meal here with my daughter & partner, granddaughter and my wife. The service was excellent, attentive, polite and very helpful. The food was also great. We had the mixed platter to start which couldn’t be faulted. The curries that we had went down with great delight. They tendered to my granddaughter with great aplomb, sending her food just as we requested. I would certainly recommend this for an evening, just unfortunately for us that we live away. We would definitely come again if we come back to the area

As a couple we got the vege set meal option but requested if we could swap one dish for a meat which they were happy to do.Value for money is fantastic, plenty of rice, naan, popadoms, dips and sides to go with the mains!! Flavours were also spot on, it’s too common now days to just have the same old creamy curries but everything was so flavoursome.

ordered a take away which was over one hour late and when we called they insisted the driver had left and when we called 20 minutes later we had the same comment which obviously was not true

Felt very safe as all the necessary social distancing measures in place. Visited on a Monday and despite not being v busy the service was v slow. It’s a shame as we had a lovely time otherwise. The food portions appeared to be a bit smaller post lockdown.

We were missing our regular visits to The Indian due to the lockdown condition so we realised that we could get a take away so I collected our SundayBuffet Meal and it was fantastic the quality is well known locally and it didn’t disappoint the flavours were fantastic! The quantities were generous the dishes we’re varied and included vegetarian, rice,nan,pickles.We hope to get to the restaurant soon now we are aware it is back to the new NORMAL.A lot of safety features in place.Can’t wait to return well done to STAFF and MANAGEMENT!

What can we say except amazing food,very friendly staff. COVID safe this restaurant was a good example how a restaurant should be run under these circumstances. The service was spot on , We will be going here again

So glad we came out for a night and decided on a curry here, they are well organised for getting back after covid kickdown, screens hand sanitizer, disposable menu clean and tables now spaced apart, but most importantly the food is fantastic, I've just had for a starter the king prawn puri which is the best I have ever known, will definitely be making this place my new favourite Indian restaurant

I'm really sad to say that after ordering from the Indian tonight, that it's not to the same standards as it used to be.We could tell once we had opened up the boxes that it wasn't the same, cold and either bland or over spiced. Soggy poppadoms, terrible terrible chutneys, dreadful cold wet soggy tandoori kebab,greasy chips the list goes on..Beware before you consider The Indian, it's very sadly not the same. I'm unsure if there's been some sort of change in ownership or chef? But something is very wrong.☹️☹️☹️☹️

Great Christmas Eve meal with all my family. Treated fantastically with recommendations off the menu. We will be back

Quality food with amazing flavours. Good service to tables. Friendly staff. Can also recommend the Sunday buffet which is value for money. On the down side is the bar prices. Whilst I understand drinks will be on the high side I think £4.50 for a lager shandy is extortionate considering a pint of lager is only £4.00

Best Indian Buffet I have ever ate. A great choice, something for the whole family. Fantastic service despite naan bread being brought out slightly later than expected but nonetheless at least it was fresh. Cannot recommend this Indian enough despite being sceptical about trying it myself for the first time!

Tonight (New Years Eve) we went to the Indian for a meal. We went with family and friends for early tea. We were so disappointed. We were put round the corner from the bar and waited 15 minutes to order a drink. We then ordered some starters which took 30 minutes to come. We waited another 45 minutes for our main meal which then came out cold so we had to send it back . The chips were rubber and feel let down by them. My dad which has been going there for the last 10 years as a regular will not be going back again.

I have visited this place a few times now and it really is fantastic. Staff are great, food is really good, and the prices are really reasonable. There is a lamb on the bone dish - without a doubt best Indian meal I have ever had.

We have been eating at this restaurant for a number of years usually about twice a month.I must say that the standards seem to be dropping of late, especially over the last month or so.The service yesterday was appalling, the staff were all around the reception desk talking about football, the buffet containers we’re running short and the selection was poor.We eventually got our drinks after being sat down for twenty minutes, we got one piece of naan bread between four of us, we two separate members of staff for some more but never got it. We heard another couple asking for naan bread but they didn’t get it eitherThe guy who took our desert order completely messed it up, which was amazing as it was 3 coffees and one ice cream!Overall not very enjoyable, if this trend continues we will be eating elsewhere

We are regular users of this restaurant and when we found they were doing a tasting menu we booked our place.We went to the early sitting at 6.00 and when we arrived we were welcomed in the traditional ‘Indian’ manner warm and accommodating.The menu indicated 7 courses which were varied with eg cold and hot starters we enjoyed everything we had and ate somethings that maybe might not have ordered but I am sure that was the purpose of the experience.This was a fantastic experience and I thank all of the staff for planning and executing such a great experience.Thanks for a great evening.See you all soon.

Good Monday - Thurs deal. £10 for a meal with rice or nan plus a drink, before 7pm. I've eaten there many times. Salmon shashlik very good.

We have been going to the Indian for a few years now, never a bad meal...food is great, at a good price, the staff are great....which just goes to show, others will come along and may take some of your immediate trade away...but quality shows through via longevity...a great place to eat

We often eat at Bombay quay as it quite central to northwich and forget about The Indian where we have had great meals in the past.

yet another excellent indian restaurant in northwich. based at the top of castle hill on the right with car parking at the rear, it is another gem. the sunday buffet is great value for money as is the normal menu. nice decor and friendly staff.

We had the Sunday buffet which was superb. All food was nice and hot, it was replenished regularly and was great value for money. The service was excellent, with all staff being very polite and friendly. We’ll definitely be going again. Highly recommended.

Having been to this restaurant some 20 years ago we have been twice over the xmas period. Excellent food, brilliant decor and the staff were fantastic. Team were great and really looked after us on Christmas Eve. We will be back

Great food, some interesting unusual dishes on the menu, and very polite and helpful staff. Very good service for our party of six, and the staff even arranged our taxi back to Sandiway for us. We are in the area fairly frequently so would certainly return.

Our favourite Indian by far in the area. We have tried them all and always find ourselves coming back here! The fish pakora starter simply melts in your mouth - none of that chewy batter!! Highly recommend here to anyone.

Coming here has become something of a regular visit and we love it, the food is always hot and tasty. Iv even started to try some new curries, I’d like to see them put a vindaloo out for people to try or something a bit hotter. My only gripes and there small ones is it can take a while if you want to get more drinks, also I think the naan breads should be out on the table as part of the buffet instead of waiting for them.

We had the buffet the Sunday before last great food. However both my wife and myself were playing tunes for the rest of the night. OMG. Never again. We were exhausted by the end of the night.

My wife and I ate at the Indian last night. It's the first time we have visited since the refurbishment, but as always we were very warmly greeted before being led to a booth table which was perfect for our date night out.

As casual visitors to the town, we relied on Trip Adviser to recommend a restaurant and boy were we impressed.

We are regular customers here on a Sunday for the buffet. Fantastic food and service, friendly staff, recent refurbishment looks good but the background music has totally ruined the atmosphere as there seems to be only 3 tracks all being played by what sounds like a mad pianist on repeat!!

This place was recommended to me by my partner, and to be fair, the first impression was really good. Food was tasty, restaurant looked nice and clean. But the waiter was way too friendly. There would be nothing wrong with it, but he was chatting to us whilst we were having our starters and whilst we were trying to enjoy our main courses! It was our anniversary and I couldn't even talk to my boyfriend properly! Really annoyed, feel like it ruined my whole evening.

We went to see the revised restaurant last night and the changes transform the restaurant.

I always enjoy Indian restaurants. Have done since my first in 1983! Have been to this one before, some years ago. Enjoyed it then, and have enjoyed it again recently. Reliable. Would go again.

Visit fairly regularly. The standard is always very Good and is probably the tastiest indian food around. The Take away is always good and I've never had a bad meal here. will visit again soon and no doubt it will be feb as usual

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times with family and friends and had several takeaways which were varying in taste and quality. The most recent takeaway that we had was certainly not up to the standard of the restaurant food. Slightly tough chicken, taste very mediocre and naan very dry. Beacause we have had good restaurant meals we have rated the food 4 out of 5 but I don’t think we’ll be ordering another takeaway. There is a restaurant nearer where friends rate the takeaway highly

I never really thought I liked Indian food until I ate here I have eaten Indian many other places and really disliked the texture and spice but my husband loves Indian food, so I thought I would Give it a go! I'm so glad I did everything I tried was absolutely mouthwatering delicious!!! This is the only Indian I will ever go to now and we come every couple of months now! The atmosphere the staff are just lovely too really really love it here!!

Went for a meal last night. Food excellent - the Sali Zardaloo in particular. Meat very tender, fantastic flavour and portion size just right. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere.

I'll admit it, I'm a regular. However, we have just had a fabulous meal at a 'fine dining experience' evening. The food was superb and the service was excellent. Great variety and well thought out taste combinations. The manager was attentive and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring that our night out was enjoyable. Top marks to all the staff. Looking forward to seeing the dishes added to your new menu.

I have dined in the restaurant and ordered take away on a few occasions and we have always been very happy. The food is delicious and customer service is second to none. I attended a food tasting night on Tuesday and it was pure heaven, I hope the lamb biryani is added to the regular menu asap! We will definitely be back!

Have always enjoyed the food at The Indian but last night's taster evening was amazing. An evening of eating fabulous Indian food that you don't normally get to try. A big well done to Shiraj and all his great staff.

This was an amazing dining experience.A wonderful opportunity to try lots of different dishes we wouldn't usually have. They kindly provided an excellent vegetarian option. The staff as usual were very attentive and helpful explaining the different dishes to us. Our favourites were lamb biryani and thhe rice kheer. Wow! We visited The Indian this evening for one of their taster evenings. Five courses served over a leisurely two hours, sampling some of their new dishes. Every single course, without exception was delicious. Particular favourites were the Bengali spiced crab cake (one of the tastiest things I've EVER eaten!) and the Hyderabadi Lamb Biryani. Absolutely delicious, just enough food and very reasonably priced too. The waiters all very friendly and knowledgeable about the food they are serving and how it has been cooked. They are planning more taster evenings and we can't wait to go again!

I have had lots of traditional taster meals from posh country hotels to Celebrity gaffs etc, but this is by far is the tastiest food i have ever had. 5 course menu.. All differant flavours, textures, blends.i have to give this evening a exellant in all areas. I will be coming here much more than ever.

We have attended a taster evening tonight and what can I say. Well everything has been excellent the food was brilliant I always go for the same dishes well now I have tried different things I will be excelling myself and trying different dishes. The service was excellent the staff as always was excellent thanks for the chance to try all these lovely dishes this is a restaurant I will alway recommend well done management and staff

An evening of superlatives. Excellent service, some superb dishes to try. Loved the Pani Puri canapés and Pan Fried Haddock with Moilee sauce. But the outstanding dish of the meal was the Hyderabadi Lamb Biryani

Always good quality dishes. I've been twice recently and I wasn't impressed with the buffet as it's mass produced but anything ordered from the menu is very good.

This place is fantastic. I live outside the area but we had a meal here as I was visiting and the food is excellent. Staff are friendly.

Took another trip here today for the Sunday buffet. £8.95 n so worth it. Not a massive selection but enough to bloat you for the rest of the dayWell worth a trip. Great value n great service too
