What can I say..... Brilliant pub. Spilled my kebab on way home Say no more 😜

Went to see the fabulous Sinictones (who were awesome as usual). Great little venue, very friendly with an excellent atmosphere. Highly recommended!

This pub has an awesome selection of keg beer, the team are very friendly. My only complaint is that is was very cold in the pub but I understand heating is expensive and it was a very cold evening.

Great pub, it's got lots of character, friendly staff, great choices in local beers and ciders and there's almost always live music. I can't rate the food as I'm yet to try it but have heard good things.

Always a good atmosphere and some great bands Thursday to Saturday, and fortnightly open mic on wednesdays, film nights and so much more.

Went here to watch the Euro final- lovely chill atmosphere, delicious apple tango slushies, and they even brought out some hotdogs and snacks <3 Great prices and cool vibes, favourite spot in old market!

Vibrant place to have drinks, a good dance and meet up with friends and new people! I have been there a few times and always enjoyed all. Food is tasty and affordable.

Fun bar with good music, great beers and friendly staff. Gents toilets are in an old safe, with walls covered in Elvis memorabilia. Worth a visit!

The Ill Repute is a great venue with regular live music gigs, a great selection of drinks and a very warm hearted staff. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to have a pint or two, while listening to good music.

Delightful spot and potentially a new favourite in Old Market… Joanna (?) the bar tender was the kindest woman I’ve met and let us use the function room downstairs which made for a great night. The house lager was decent at £4.50 which is a standard price for the area. They have gigs here too and was so impressed overall.

Great band there for free. Not the kinda thing if you want somewhere posh but good music and good beer and nice decorations in main area. Cocktails weren't great

This place is a hidden gem! Such a cool quirky little pub with lots of interesting stuff up on the walls and all around. Great live bands and events often and always a good atmosphere with lots colourful characters in and out. Few tables out front for smoking area Highly recommend

Great pub, brill decor, good live music, bit of a hippy vibe. We'll be back! Only criticism is the barman who has to bump into you every time he walks past. I swear if he does it one more time!!!!!!

I visited this old Bristol favourite located in The Old Market area to enjoy an evening of trad jazz recently. Great atmosphere and.really good food. They have a mexican/spicy based selection of food and snacks at fair prices with good.porttion sizes. I had some loaded Nachos with black refried beans and bbq chicken. The atmosphere here is always friendly. If you are into tequila and mescale they have a good selection as well as the usual beers and ciders etc. Regular and varied live music and events in a cosy and interesting motorcycle themed room.

I love the look of this pub. I think I counted at least three mopeds and one on the wall! We were on a pub crawl but decided to stay for a second drink because of the live music. A lively pub. Worth a visit.

I usually go on Tuesdays but lately I keep just popping by and staying. The atmosphere is created by the staff, the DELICIOUS food and the musicians that play. Last night were DJs and it was good stuff! I believe that I have called this my regular hangout for 4-5 months, I'm even bringing friends and lover in to introduce them to a spanking good place!😁

The Americana, the beer, the staff, the food...❤️ its just all so on point. SO much care and love is put into this place and they genuinely love making people happy. I speak for Bristol when I say thanks 👏

Vibey bar with regular live music

Stumbled on this spot by chance, filling a night in Bristol before a work thing. Incredibly friendly staff and people, great atmosphere, superb music. Sadly had already eaten as the food looked terrific. As a sole traveller I felt in great company. Hugely recommended.

The music was good, bar service prompt, and eclectic style intriguing, although for a bar to have so many scooters, Hobart mixer and stuff taking up sitting and standing space, it made the bar feel cramped.

I don't go here nearly as often as I should. Staff have impeccable music taste and I've discovered some good music just by asking who the artist playing is. Quite often stumble in to find some live entertainment taking place as well, from an open mic to a ska DJ set to a trad jazz band in full swing (featuring Hugh Roberts on reeds no less!) (just to name a few). Food is delicious and a "big feed" and not even expensive which feels absurd in contemporary Bristol. Something to please everyone in the drinks department, from local beers to cocktails, and if you're lucky you'll be served by the world's most handsome Estonian man. Oh, and the throne room is fit for a king.

We’re in Bristol for a long weekend city break. Researching what to do, I came across The Ill Repute Facebook page. Thought we’d give it a try as it looked quirky. We loved it as soon as we walked in. The decor! Each time I looked around, I noticed something new to look at that I hadn’t seen before. Great atmosphere. Customers were really smiley and chatty. No need for bouncers here as the clientele are thankfully a different breed of people to those that frequent the chain pubs. Bar staff were attentive and polite. There’s a good range of locally stocked taps at the back of the bar. A pint of Iford Wild Juice cider and a pint of Moor Pils was £10 in total. Not a bad price. Last night, we saw a Brummie band called The Silhouettes. They were amazing! We’re from Birmingham so they were one of the reasons we wanted to visit the pub. I found it strange on the pub Facebook page that there were no ticket details. We thought we’d turn up and try to buy them. Turns out it was all completely free! A pub with free live music? YES! What a gem of a venue. We’re looking forward to going back tonight to see Mary Lee Saldanha Band.

This place was A very pleasant surprise indeed. I absolutely love Mexican food and good music. And the Ill Repute delivered the goods! The band Olanza ripped it. Being from California originally I am very dubious about Mexican food being served in England. But I wasn’t a bit disappointed in the food. Great night

Great place, real cool interior and food is incredible! Very big portion sizes which you can’t complain about! I recommend the tacos they were delicious. Also has live music regularly 🎵

Instant good vibe and very European feel. Brilliant location and LOVE that its NOT town! Lovely staff. Can't wait to get back and eat Mexican! Oh and the MEZCAL!!! If you like Mexican food, cocktails and music.....and sitting outside and people watching on a weekend, then this is the place!

This is a great pub / bar / venue on Old Market. Very good beers and delicious Mexican-y food which is great value. Service is friendly and efficient. And lots of interesting acts playing live music in the evenings. Really interesting building too.

Managed to sneak in just before they stopped doing food last night and was able to get some tacos, a quesadilla, and some fries. Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had, washed down with some insanely good cocktails. The guy behind the bar and the guy cooking the food both were super friendly. It was my first time but I'll be back ASAP!

What a fantastic surprise! This unassuming venue hosted a lively blues band one chilly Friday night in November, and totally warmed my heart. The ambience was welcoming and quirky, the band were great, the drinks were flowing. Good fast and friendly bar team. The owner was also serving behind the bar and played some real golden oldie bangers on vinyl after the band finished, meaning the whole place were on their feet dancing and singing. Proper old boozer style! Had a blast. Will definitely be back!
