The Hoxton, Holborn in Camden

44p service charge on take away coffee, ordered directly from the bar. Classic example of a company empowering self entitled staff to get drunk on service charge. This culture of service charge for doing the bare minimum needs to stop.

As usual Hoxton Holborn is awesome. Here for the Arsenal-PSG game and staff are incredibly awesome. Shout out to Jenny, Joel and Leo. Folks like them make me feel at home whenever im here.

The staff were exceptional! Even though the space downstairs was filled with adults in the communal bar / restaurant / lounge space, my 11 year old son was made to feel welcome too. The lady at reception even remembered what we were doing in London and asked my son about it the next morning. He felt very comfortable there which was important to me. The room was compact, clean, comfortable and perfect for what we needed. No noise problems which is brilliant! We left stuff in the safe by mistake, called to alert them and they kindly had it waiting for us behind reception when we went back to get it. Faultless! THANK YOU! We will be back! x

Awful security and bar staff there’s a photobooth I’ve been using for years even when there’s ‘a reserved area’ yesterday wanted to use the booth we weren’t in anyone’s way this gent says ‘erm you can’t use the booth this is reserved for a private function you need to leave’ not sure of his name but he has no business working in hospitality or a 4 star hotel also have clear signage if there’s a private function other times I’ve used it and had no problems when it’s been reserved

I would like to sincerely thank Hafsa at the reception for making my stay much more enjoyable. She was welcoming, professional, and made me feel truly cared for. One aspect that I found less positive was the noise level in the rooms. Unfortunately, I didn’t sleep well because sounds from neighboring rooms — such as conversations and showers — were very easily heard. Overall, the staff were wonderful, but better soundproofing in the rooms would definitely improve the guest experience.

Had a lovely stay! The staff are so accommodating and friendly, they took the time to have a nice chat and help me find my way around. Hafsa was so kind and welcoming, Georgia, Nienka and Alexis were very helpful.

I'll give the Hoxton another try, but I found my stay a bit wanting, considering the price. I got the shoebox room, which true to the name is very small. I couldn't fit anything other in the room than my smallest travel bag and a backpack. I had to store my other luggage (include a smaller rolling bag) with the desk, which they accommodated very easily. I found the service to be just a little lackluster (especially the bar staff) which seems surprising given the other reviews. Like I said forward to giving this place another try because the location is awesome.

John is professional, knowledgeable and kind. He made our time at the Hotel bar memorable and special. He is a true asset to the company and made tailored recommendations for cocktails. He is an excellent bartender and we will definitely be returning.

I had an amazing stay! The rooms were stylish, comfortable, and spotless, with a fantastic bed and great amenities. The highlight was the outstanding service from Deborah, Nienke, and Kate at the front desk. They were warm, professional, and went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. Highly recommend this hotel, and I’ll definitely be back!

I really enjoy staying at this hotel. Right next to the Circle Line subway, it’s a 5-minute walk to Covent Garden, and above all, it’s not too touristy so after office hours it’s quite nice and peaceful. Aesthetic wise, it’s got a cool and modern vibe. Hotel is in very good condition, new if I may say. Their Café downstairs offers good breakfast at reasonable prices. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The only downside? The hotel lobby is always full (maybe because rooms don’t have work tables) so if you like lounging around downstairs, you might have to wait around for one.

Its very hip and trendy and the. Reception area was heaving with people when i checked in. The room numbers being on the floor on what look like mounting plates was annoying- i didnt see them and just tried my key on what i thought would be the right door. Its exceptionally quiet.

The hotel style is modern and fancy. But the room are so tiny that they don’t have scape for a closet, when taking a shower, inundation is guaranteed. On top of all, they don’t clean the room. They don’t tell you need to ask. 350 GBP/night. Overpriced.

I'm still waiting for my deposit money. Watch out for it, they did not pay me back.

I’ve now stayed at six Hoxtons, including all four in London. This is my least favorite. While the rooms are very small, what I found most frustrating is how crowded the lobby always is. My room wasn’t ready when I arrived, which is fine, but there was literally nowhere to sit and wait because the lobby is full of people working on their MacBooks who are obviously local people using it as a free WeWork. When I came down for breakfast, they had stopped serving food. Again, no problem. I grabbed food from nearby and brought it back to the hotel lobby. Despite ordering a coffee from the hotel - and being a paying guest - I was told I couldn’t eat outside food in the lobby and was forced to go to my room and eat sitting on my bed. I would recommend Hoxton Southwark instead of this location. While it’s obviously incredibly well-located, I’d rather go the extra 10 minutes out of the way to have a better experience.

Lovely hotel . Got upgraded on arrival to bigger room . The room was great ordered room service and was within 5 minutes. Will definitely be going back.

I’ve stayed here many times. Unfortunately the bar and lobby are filled with day workers on their laptops sipping tea or water. I asked the bartender when the actual bar area shifts from co-working to being a bar. He said “it’s not a bar, it’s for working from home”. Huh? I’ve been here at least 50 times and the experience is getting worse and worse. So, instead of having drinks and dinner with my wife here tonight, I’ll be spending my £200 elsewhere.

I only stayed here for one night, but honestly it felt just like home from the first minute. Most comfortable beds in the world, located in the middle of London. Great atmosphere, gorgeous interior and welcoming people. The receptionist were all amazing, special thanks for that darling man from Florence who checked us in. Very attentive and friendly! Another great person from the staff was Michelle at the restaurant. She helped me arrange a little surprise for my friend and did everything she could to perfect my day. Lovely team and a great hotel! Hope to be back soon :)

I stayed at the Hoxton for my birthday and everything was perfect! It’s a cool place, nice people, Antonio was great.

# Overall: The Cozy room is plenty space to stay as a party of 2. The TV has a wall mount, allowing for TV in bed. The staff is very kind and the reception is always well staffed. It is perhaps too easy for restaurant charges to be charged to rooms, as somebody else charged their breakfast to my room. The staff were able to provide me with a receipt of the charges and I quickly identified that it was not me that made those charges. Thankfully, they dealt with the issue in a reasonable time frame. # Ambiance The ground floor is a bustling area with a cafe and a restaurant. The rooms are nice and cozy, but is a little weird when we can hear other people's doors close. # Food and Drink (Room Service via Rondo) London Fog Posset with Gingerbread Ice Cream This dessert is the best item I ordered from here. The dessert itself is very creamy and tart. The gingerbread ice cream provides a nice medium to mellow out the strong acidity. Neal's Yard Cheeses, House Chutney & Oat Cakes The cheeseboard is alright. Comes with some apple slices too. The house chutney is pretty sweet, kind of jam like. Fish Goujons sandwich The brioche bun might be better than or at least equal to the fish here. Assorted drinks by London Essence London essence comes in last (4/4) in my ranking of ginger beers I had in London.

True luxury is when you don't utter a word and either Larissa, Loris, Damani, Gkiorki, Jazmine or Yassin brings your Flat White to you. And, with Dis-loyalty it feels completely free. The best place for coffee or lunch in the whole of London.

What a beautiful hotel! Upon our arrival, we got upgraded to a king-size room. The location is perfect for getting around London. We walked almost everywhere, or took the tube next to the hotel. The restaurant and bar at the hotel are also excellent, as was the temperature control in our hotel room. Would easily recommend this to hotel to anyone visiting London! Only downside were slightly smaller rooms and ours had a bit of a musty smell after using the shower.

Favorite part of this hotel was meeting John - it was our first time in London, and he made the Hoxton feel like home for our long weekend. Was so wonderful with our meals, drinks and provided all the recommendations. Such an amazing experience overall, but would come back for the company ☺️ thank you John for making our experience unforgettable (and for the BEST espresso martinis in all of London)

The Hotel itself is pretty good but don't expect to find any space at the bar as a hotel guest, everything is alway loud and full of people, not a good experience

Sam at reception was unbelievably helpful. Total 5 star service. Hip hotel. Rooms are much smaller than I’d like, though downstairs lobby is super cool. Feels like Ace Hotel in NYC, if you’ve ever been.

Rooms are very cleverly and beautifully designed! They were clean and had water and milk in the fridge. We stayed for a night but a lack of closet space in smaller rooms may be a problem for some people. No street noise but we could hear people in other rooms, which was strange. I wish there was an actual coffee machine, but there was a kettle with a selection of teas and instant coffee. Front desk staff are very polite and friendly. Our rate included a breakfast baggie and a late checkout. The latter was absolutely amazing but I’d say don’t bother with the breakfast baggie if it’s not already included in your stay. Definitely recommend, will be back!

Very nice experience and service

Aside from the great location and stylish foyer, this hotel was pretty disappointing, especially given the price. The rooms are very small and have been designed for aesthetic, not functionality. The shower is a pain to use and water sprays all over the floor as the glass only covers half of the shower area. After one shower the bath mat was completely soaked. We then asked for our room to be cleaned (no daily housekeeping here - you have to request it) and it was not. Only three channels work on the TV and there is no option to cast from your own device. Creaky uncomfortable bed, wildly overpriced laundry service, and you can hear everything happening in the hallway. Luckily we were only staying for two nights - definitely would not recommend for longer stays!

I got really sick in 25 December i came for dinner i had burger at 9pm to be exact my vacation got ruined i got sick since then.. be aware don’t eat there

Have really come to appreciate this hotel. While the rooms may be smaller, they are quiet and comfortable and the staff is helpful and friendly. There’s always a good vibe in the lobby where guests hang out and everyone is friendly. I especially had a great experience at the bar and with one of the great staff members there, John. He had a great knowledge of cocktails and made some amazing off-the-menu cocktails for me. I really appreciated his knowledge and ability to create cocktails that fit my taste preferences. Overall a very nice hotel foe the price and great bar to hang out at and get great drinks.

After an exhausting 21 hours of travel from Australia, I met Locky, a bartender who went above and beyond to help me unwind. He recommended two cocktails, both of which I really enjoyed, and was incredibly accommodating. Every place needs someone like Locky. Lovely ambience for anyone feeling lucky. I call it Rondo house as it has its own mind, soul and class. The location is not only great but the users of this place are fascinating. It is open until midnight, giving you ideas in abundance.

I was meeting some friends here for coffee on a weekday afternoon, when a huge Russian guy twice my size (who was with a short male colleague) sat on the back of my chair. I asked him to move and he said no, he could do what he wanted. I stood up and told him to go away and he grabbed my watch, crushing it against my wrist, insulting me and then insisting we go into the street and fight. I said no, he was crazy, but he kept insisting. I went and told the bar staff and they said there was nothing they could do, so we left. On leaving we saw this guy greet a group of well dressed business people. I got the impression he was a supplier having a business meeting with clients. Surreal experience.

Absolutely loved the location & room decor! It's also super easy to run down to the river and see Big Ben with the 5.5k map they provide. The adidas run club also leads a group every Thursday at 7am from the hotel. The Holborn tube station is also super close by. Overall this place is amazing and the staff was also very efficient letting me check in early.

I like to spend time working in their cafe. You don’t need to be reserved as a guest in the hotel to come in, order a drink and work for a few hours.

Just spent a week vacation at the Hoxton for the second time in 5 years, and enjoyed so many things about it again. The staff are kind, super helpful and determined to ensure satisfaction (Phoebe at the front desk was outstanding!). If you are a walker, it is so well located to see many sites easily, being a block from the British Museum, or lots of great shopping in Covent Garden on the jaunt to National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery at Trafalgar Square. The Holborn tube station is only half a block away and provides easy public transit access to many more via 15-20 minute ride to the Tower, Buckingham Palace, Victoria & Albert Museum, the Tate, etc., and you can now easily tap in using credit card or Apple Pay so the transit process is a breeze. For foodies, just about every type of restaurant can be found within a half mile or so in any direction, from great pub fare to quick takeaway to fine dining to countless international options. The lounge and restaurant on the ground floor maintain a uniquely hip vibe throughout the day and evening, haven’t seen a hotel “lobby” floor ever quite like this one. Wonderful memories made once again.

I brought my best friend here to celebrate her birthday with some drinks and neither of us could have wished for a better experience. We were served by Locky and he was so knowledgeable and helpful. He helped to make my friends birthday so special and even went above and beyond and brought her out a birthday cake on the house. Thank you so much to Lochie, and to the rest of the staff at the Hoxton. We will definitely be back soon!

We rented The Apartment for a big birthday and anniversary party. The service was exceptional. There's no room hire fee (there's a minimum spend instead). They gave us a menu tasting session in advance which was very generous and a little overwhelming! The food and drink were good value and of a high standard. We had options for the room layouts and the rooms are very well-designed and flexible. The tech set-up is excellent, with control panels in each room and a large projection screen. We had cocktails, a three course seated dinner (fresh and delicious) and a DJ late into the night. The rooms were switched around effortlessly and the co-ordination was really professional. We had a few guests staying overnight. I requested a quiet room for a relative and it was lovely, with a rooftop view over Covent Garden. If you have an important event to host, I highly recommend The Hoxton.

Great stay at the Hoxton. Excellent location, extremely quiet, wonderfully comfortable beds and fun lobby to hang out in. Our room was very very small but again, you were comfortable to spend time in the lobby.

Great location, close to everything. Small room, but nicely decorated and clean. I'd prefer the showers had a glass to prevent water from splashing into other parts of the bathroom, but not a deal breaker. What gives this place its high review is the service - excellent customer service, friendly and professional staff, they make you feel welcome the moment you step in.

Loved my stay at The Hoxton. Although the rooms are small, they're thoughtfully designed and have creative use of the space - perfect for a solo traveler like me. The front desk and bar staff were great during my time there, making lots of convo and helping me with storing my luggage after checkout. If you appreciate design and aesthetic + thoughtful touches in your hotel stay, this is the place for you.

Had great time at the Hoxton, popped in for a few pints after work, which were delicious. Charlie who served us was fantastic, that's how bar staff should be!

Not the right choice for us. The lobby is a bar and coffee shop; overrun with laptop workers all day every weekday. Our room was a little stuffy/musty; the windows do not open. They seem to be going for a look rather than focusing on function. Okay for the 1-2 night business traveler but not for a longer leisure stay.

Like many have mentioned, the hotel rooms are very small. Our room was also a bit rough around the edges and the building itself smelled a little musty. Our shower also overflowed a bit into the area with the toilet and sink due to an improper seal. The staff was attentive and helpful and the location was great as a first time tourist. However for the price, you can probably find better options.

Came in to grab a quick coffee, which the staff kindly directed me to the coffee bar. There is two bars opposite one another and a restaurant also on the same level. A really nicely dimly yet decorated place to chill and chat and very spacious. Upon arrival I realised it was a hotel. The coffee was quite bitter with a strong aftertaste. Really small cups and cost over 3 pounds each. I thought it was not worth the price and size. Only for the ambience really.

We had a quick lunch in the restaurant. The service was perfect! Our waitress was so attentive and kind, the food was to die for (highly recommend the Lamp Rump). We unfortunately didn’t stay in the Hotel, however the restaurant was 10/10. We will be back!!

I had a fantastic time at the Hoxton Hotel in Holborn. As soon as I arrived and sat at the bar I was greeted with a warm smile by the kind barman Charlie. He was incredibly welcoming and attentive. There is an extensive set of cocktails which I was guided through adeptly by Charlie. The ambience of the bar was awesome. Subtle mellow beats filled the air and provided the soundtrack to the evening. I look forward to my return to the Hoxton Hotel in Holborn.

I'm a regular at the restaurant and I love this place! It's my favorite in London. The service and food are excellent. The atmosphere is cozy even on the busiest days. Perfect for couples and more intimate meetings.

I stayed at The Hoxton in Holborn from Saturday, September 11th to Tuesday September 14th, 2021. My mother is in a wheelchair. In email I was told to book the ‘roomy’ or ‘biggie’, which are wheelchair accessible. I did so for same day arrival, but at check in was told that there were no accessible rooms available. My mother and I were placed on the 4th floor and during our entire stay one of the elevators remained out of service, which meant long waits. The room was down two tight turns and the wheelchair could not manoeuvre down the hall so we had to use a walker for this portion. The outlets, doors, and refrigerator were not accessible. In case of a fire we would have been out of luck going down 4 flights. The worst part was on our last day we ordered delivery as my mother had a flight to catch. There were no seats available in the lobby with a high enough table to comfortably eat especially with a wheelchair. I asked the Rondo restaurant if it was possible to sit at one of the tables that was outside the direct restaurant area and the hostess said yes. A man then approached us from the restaurant and told us that this was “a restaurant” that served “food” as if our take away was dog food. He then dumped out our pasta on to plates, threw away our plastic cutlery, and made us very uncomfortable. He then asked if we were even staying at the hotel… I gave him our room number and told him we were staying 3 nights showing him my card key. Afterwards he left us alone, but it was embarrassing. People with disabilities live their lives feeling incapable of enjoying simple pleasures. This hotel took away what was meant to be a beautiful time with my mother and made us feel unworthy after spending £700. This was the definition of discrimination. Never again.
