It’s a proper pub!!!! Wish I lived closer. Good beer, good company, no music (inside) great staff, great atmosphere, authentic. What more would I want? Others are free to disagree but for me, it’s proper!!!! Thank you.

First time in there last night after recently moving to the area. Very Friendly and welcoming owner and staff, friendly people in there and great prices, would definitely recommend!

This is a pub we used to visit some time ago and having not been for a couple of years we popped in and it was lovely to be visiting again. It's close enough to be called our local and we will be returning and definitely not leaving it so long before we're back xx Dotty

Now this is a PUB. No food apart from nuts and crisps!! Lovely atmosphere. Try a pint at 5pm.....you'll make friends as well!!!

Nothing beats a good beer in a cozy, traditional pub! Upon entering you almost feel like you've gone into a tavern in D&D or some fantasy film, the building itself has kept it's historical charm and the landlord is welcoming as soon as you enter! Pair that with the buzz of conversation from all the locals and you have a fantastic pub atmosphere! Bonus it has an open fire too 🔥

May Day with Ripley Morris. Great dancing with Black Pig, Border Morris and Lady Bay. Great pub, great reception and a really good, lively crowd. A great night out.

Really old pub but amazing drink

Don't believe the opening hours on here! I made a 90 minute, two-bus journey to get to this place yesterday lunchtime only to find it was shut and wasn't opening until 17.00. NOT IMPRESSED!

Lovely olde worlde bar, very VERY dog-friendly. Sells real ale. What more is there to say? It’s fast becoming our local because it’s worth the walk there/stagger home.

Probably the best pub in the area. You will make friends within 10 minutes of going through the door. At least 8 real ales 2 served from the jug. Live music night on a Wednesday. Definitely worth a visit.
