Good choice of dishes and friendly helpful staff. We went as a couple on Saturday night and our waiter could not have been more helpful, probably needed some help as he never stopped all night.

First time here, We were driving home and decided to pick up a takeaway. I was given a free drink while I was ordering. Atmosphere was nice and lovely people. Food was absolutely delicious, everything fresh and so tasty. We are booking a table and bringing friends next week! Highly recommend

Clean tidy elegant little layout. Great staff and lovely food. We have been back many times and will continue. Also at top of our delivery list on just eat.

Fantastic food as always, fresh and very tasty

Tonight was the 2nd time dining here and without a doubt the service and food are out of this world. The owners are the ultimate hosts,very entertaining, attentive to everything youll need to enjoy the evening. Their staff are so polite and 100 percent on the ball. I would highly recommend a meal here. Extremely good value for money

Couldn't fault it x it arrived on time and was delicious. Coconut rice is perfect as is the chillie and cheese naan.I had a honey and chillie chicken dish and although it was slightly too spicy for me it was delicious. Can't wait to get friends and family round and order a whole load of dishes x

Been a few times now, always a friendly greeting food always been good and hot . Staff adjusted meals for individual tastes, curry wise.

Beautiful takeout, arriving bang on time and piping hot. Everything tasty and cooked lovely, not greasy or swimming in ghee, we really enjoyed it thankyou and will definitely be ordering again or attending the restaurant.

Came here on a Sunday night based purely on the reviews. Premises are an old pub converted into a restaurant. Situated on a main road (B600) with a large car park at the rear. Friendly welcome which was quickly followed by poppadoms and dips. After ordering our starters and drinks came quite quickly. Main courses of a chicken madras and a mixed grill followed. The restaurant is nicely done out with modern fixtures and fittings. Only downside was that my chicken madras had too much tomato in the sauce, but that is down to how the chef learnt to make them. Otherwise all good. Would definitely come again.

Just had a takeaway, the owner asked if was OK to chose for me...and what more can I say...absolutely superb loved it...you need to go and try for yourselves....see you soon..

Went in this evening as visiting the area. Owners are lovely and friendly, food came quickly and was top notch. Naan's were great. Top quality, highly recommended.

So good! They gave us lots of sauces and a little salad which was lovely, there curry is the most tastiest and the onion bhaji’s were so tasty

The finest curry we've ever had from the starters to the main, there was so much flavour and the meat so tender and perfectly cooked. This was the first time we've been and we will certainly be going again.

Sorry , to start missing one Naan and at £3.50 each the one we got was poor and doughy . Starters prawns way over cooked tandoori mushroom Yuk . Jalfrezi lovely rest off food no thanks for the money not worth it sorry won’t be back

We visited Gurkha Chulo for a birthday treat. The meal was delicious and the staff very friendly. We were given our table for the night and was not rushed. Authentic music played in the background. I have to say we thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. It was fabulous

The food was so delicious and fresh, the chicken was succulent and the naan bread was perfect. Lovely staff and atmosphere was just what we needed. We will definitely be returning as there are lots more dishes we would like to try.

my order was delivered without our nan bread and the driver came back with it with 30 minutes from the restaurant after a phone call to the restaurant excellent service 👍

Chicken saag didn’t contain spinach( from what I could see and was over powered by cream, I personally couldn’t eat it which was shame as it’s normally my fav Indian meal. Chips were white floppy and Luke warm. Lamb Balti was nice but for £12 for the curry alone I expect more than a couple of pieces of lamb. Wasn’t the worse I have had but wouldn’t order again as most got wasted due to it not being very nice.

First time at Gurkha Chulo and it certainly won't be the last. The food was outstanding, we couldn't fault anything, really tasty and full of flavour. The service was amazing and the staff were all really friendly. Would highly recommend anyone who likes quality Nepalese or Indian food to try Gurkha Chulo. It's not a standard run of the mill Indian restaurant. It is much much more.

What a beautiful restaurant, first visit this evening, a very friendly and relaxing atmosphere, very welcoming. The food was second to none and as excellent as the service.. everything was cooked and served to perfection. Very delicious. Decided to try this restaurant out based on the reviews. I'm happy to say that the reviews were absolutely spot on. The staff are extremely helpful and always checking in to make sure you are happy. The quality and presentation of the food were exceptional, and the range of dishes available is quite impressive. I decided to try something different from what I would normally go for off the chefs special menu and was glad I did. Prices are very reasonable. Both my sons, who are 19 and 15, loved it and want to know when we are going back again. Would definitely recommend this place and will be back sooner rather than later (only a 5 mins drive from me, so may check out the takeaway option as well)

This is a gem of a resturant the owner and staff were so welcoming and warm ..nothing was too much trouble and they were informative and made suggestions about the choices on the menu .The food itself was gorgeous, very tasty and generous portions ..they even made a dish for two of us that wasn't on the menu so they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Would I go back again ..hell yes.. excellent food and excellent hosts would recommend in a heart beat .

We have enjoyed food from the Olive tree for a number of years and have always been highly satisfied. Unfortunately one portion of our latest order was very poor, a seafood risotto absolutely swimming in oil and completely inedible. Previously fish this has been a favourite of mine; no more. Annoyingly, I emailed Olive Tree informing them of the problem and have had no response at all! I’m not sure which is worse, the poor food or ignoring my complaint. Sadly we shall be unlikely to use them again

Fantastic restaurant, fantastic food and fantastic service. We always enjoy a meal here and can't fault the delicious flavours and attentive service. The restaurant can sometimes be a bit cold and drafty but with a nice hot curry to warm you up, you don't notice for long! Can't wait for our next visit.

Outstanding meal. So chuffed we live so close to this gorgeous place. Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and lovely food. Really authentic. The tikka main was so nice, the naan bread was soft and fluffy, poppadoms were thin and the mint raita was DELICIOUS. Can’t wait to return. Thanks again, Clare and Scott

We have a family meal here probably once a month and it is always a fantastic meal. Ish, his wife and the staff are always brilliant and the food is top notch

Great place to eat and great range of food, was looking for somewhere locally that catered for vegetarians and this didn't disappoint. My partner has the honey chilli chicken and couldn't recommend it enough. The staff are so friendly and helpful, service was fast and welcoming. This is a fantastic Ghurka Restaurant. The staff are very friendly and the food is very tasty and not over spicy. Their choice of menu is great with traditional Ghurka food, Indian curries and even a small selection of English food. I would highly recommend this to you.

Always lovely food! However one of our curries was definitely wrong as it was ridiculously spicy. However the husband didn’t mind and still ate it.

Wow! We really enjoyed this. It came on time and the price was average. The flavours were amazing. The rice tasted a little too much like cardamom for my tastes but that’s just personal preference. It didn’t stop us eating our plate and saving some for leftovers! Delicious

None of the food was particularly nice.. the chips came soggy, the naan was doughy. My masala was alright, again everything was just “alright”. The veg briyani I didn’t like at all, it tasted like lemon and nothing else, I also found what seems to be a bit of gristle or bone inside it? I should point out I’m vegetarian so not impressed with that at all.

Delicious meal in a very pleasant environment. Staff were friendly and made us feel.welcome and tended to throughout. Good value for great quality.
