Had takeaway cobs and cake, best I've ever had. Great choice and friendly service at a reasonable price. Gets busy but not surprised at that. Would recommend.

Edit: I have just been called out in front of other customers for leaving this review. Embarrassment of a customer is a terrible way to run a business. And proves why I didn’t come speak to you and left the review. Terrible service great food! I have no idea what happened to service with a smile. Food is lovely and it’s close to home for me but staff make me feel uncomfortable and are so rude and dismissive. I believe it’s due to making a complaint once where my potato wasn’t cooked, the lady on the phone didn’t take it away from her face and said to her colleague “this customer is whinning about the food”. Great food but so unbelievably unwelcoming and impolite.

My partially sighted brother bought £8.00 worth of ham which looked lovely. He was given all dried inedible bits!! Even the dog wouldn't eat them!!

I have been to the country kitchen on numerous occasions the food is absolutely amazing the cobs are fresh with loads of filling. Plenty of choice at a really good price. I would say one of the best I have been to by far. The staff are very polite . 5 star plus

Excellent home baked food at excellent prices

Unfortunately, we did try to buy our lunch here, but everything we asked for wasn't available. There were only two staff available and they appeared to be working in the back of the shop besides the front. I can not rate it any higher than 3 stars due to the lack of ingredients /potatoes to make simple lunch food for take out food.

Traditional bakery was absolutely packed. Friendly staff the filled rolls and cakes were delicious. Will definitely go again.

This place has always had the potential of being great, and now it is. Great fresh produce, great prices. Highly recommended

This adorable little cob shop has a wide variety of beautiful pastries and a terrific choice for all you hot or cold cob lovers out there! They have drinks available and allow changes to food items for a fair price! The ladies are a great laugh and always greet you with a smile! The food here is top-notch! I would definitely recommend this place for any working men just passing by! My applauds country kitchen 👏

Wow, the food here is absolutely amazing. It's very tasty and all fresh.. You have to be early they can sell out of the fresh cream cakes and other popular food and bread. Impressive range of savouries, cake, and tarts still to choose from each time I have been. They are always baking in the back. 😃 I haven't had Manchester tart for years until now. It was delicious. Their pork pies, sausage rolls, and custard tarts.. wow... I don't live around there, but when Im visiting family in the area, I pop in to get our treats for our get togethers. ❤️

Plenty of fillings, arguably too much for the cob, but I wouldn't class the cobs as large, a small medium at best. Tasted good tho. Need to have a more descriptive menu too, just silly not listing what's included in a breakfast.

After reading the other reviews had to check this place out for myself. The baps are huge and my bacon + egg was delicious. It really didn't disappoint, highly recommend.

Great little shop for fresh bread, cake, etc.. cobs prepared while you wait. Owner and staff always very pleasant and friendly.

It is the best place on earth for home made pies, pasties, cakes(especially Manchester tart) and any hot cob you care to mention. The staff are really warm and friendly. You must visit gorgeous bakery.

A few of us at work drop by for our lunch and are never disappointed. Salads are usually quite boring to me but the salad boxes here are very generous and fill you up. The bacon and egg cobs are delicious as well as their cakes. Great little place with tasty food!

Absolutely brilliant place use it a lot especially round christmas great to get your buffet supplies from. Or for a quick lunch. Friendly staff great products lovely and fresh xx
