Nice pub. Popped in for a couple. Good choice of beer, sports on tv and a friendly atmosphere. Would definitely go again if in the area.

Very tasty food, decent pint, ok price.

Descent sort of place, carpeted throughout. Half wooden panelling on the walls, painted. Staff were friendly and polite. Cosy little place with usual tap beers. TVs on the wall, also dartboard. Beer was good. Enjoyed my visit.

Proper drinkers' pub. Clientele, mainly assorted alcoholics and white van man after work drinkers. Can recommend.

We didn’t have food. The lady on the bar, Alice, was amazing. She went above and beyond. She was the only one on the bar on a Saturday with 2 massive rugby games on. She could have freaked out or buckled under the pressure, but she didn’t- she stayed calm and professional! She made an effort to make sure everyone was happy, even though it was tough at times as she was the only bar staff! I was impressed by her, she did the job of 3 people on her own! We were all shocked it was just her in the bar! She was brilliant all night. I hope her boss appreciates how hard she works. Don’t see bar staff like her very much anymore! If I owned a bar, I would hire her tomorrow! She’s a credit to the business!

Good place to have a drink and to watch the football. Please note the owners are Liverpool supporters so their games will take priority. Also they do good hot pork scratchings. Staff very friendly

Good choice of beer and ciders and reasonably priced. Good place to watch any sporting games as there are several tv's in the pub doesn't matter where you sit or stand you can spot one. It also has a reasonably sized area of seating outside. Good place to start your evening if you're heading out in Aberystwyth. Would visit again

Don’t use the app!!! The bar woman said the app doesn’t work, didn’t serve us and dropped the C bomb under her breath. Didn’t get a refund or our beverages. Very rude. Avoid this pub at all cost.

Ordered and paid for drinks on the QR code available on all of the tables. Took a while, so asked at the bar. We were told "we don't use that", so we asked if we could get the drink that we paid for, only to have a reply "I told you we don't use the app". We were then refused our drinks, and the bar lady dropped a C bomb under her breath that she doesn't think we heard. Very rude. Avoid this pub.

Popped into this pub today during our weekend away, we are visiting friends and have driven over from Yorkshire. The pub is under new management, we had a lovely time, friendly staff, good atmosphere, cheap drinks, very welcoming... Would recommend.

Nice friendly pub with modern interior, nice and warm on a cold day, good friendly service. Unfortunately they do not sell wine by the glass but do have well priced bottles and happy for you to take them away so not a big issue 😄

Too trendy and noisy for an old fogie like me, but the beer was good - once we'd explained to the bar boy what a real ale is!!!

Best pub food I have had for a long time,there is a young chef who cooks food fresh and you can tell.We had lasagne,curry and burger while we have been here,the best lasagne he makes it fresh everyday beautiful dish. The curry was excellent not to Spicey but very tasty, I had one of his burgers one of the tastiest and soft burger ever. Portion sizes are large and well worth the money. Drinks not over priced local smooth bitter which was very nice and a half carling £4.75 not bad. Will be going again before I go home.

The food was totally unseasoned, lacking even the most basic flavour. The vegetables were overcooked. The taste of the cheap ingredients was barely masked by the copious quantities of low-quality supermarket gravy - which I now suspect is unlimited to mask the atrocious flavour of stale ingredients. I would have probably withheld my complaints if I'd paid £5/6 for the Sunday roast I received, but a price point of £10 for some overdone budget ready-meal grade tidbits represents astonishingly poor value for money. It's not hard to cook a Brussel sprout for the correct amount of time, or reduce your prices to account for your disappointing inability to do so. I left feeling filled with a deep sense of regret and bitterness.

It's Brains. It's ok. Good pub food and big windows to look out at the passing life but please please please restore the old name which was The Railway. Lord Beeching seems like a provocation especially after what he did to the town's railway connections.

A standard pub. Good Ale. The beergarden is a joke tough, better to have none than this one.

My Girlfriend and I tried Aberystwyth Whetherspoons after their renovations, but found the place was exactly the same and their menu was awful, so we decided to cross the road and try Lord Beechings Pub. We had attempted to eat out here a few weeks prior but they had stopped serving food early on the Sunday. My Girlfriend and I ordered the starter sharer which was £9.99 (picture included) and was absolutely stunning. The Thai chicken skewers were tender and soft and tasted amazing, the cheesy GB was just lovely, the Cajun onion rings were different, every single bit of it was delicious. She had the Hunters chicken for her main and I had the Steak and Ale pie. I'm not a fan of that kind of pastry (which was crumbly), I prefer flaky pastries, however this was delicious! We also had 2 Desserts, A Jaffa cake sundae which was stunning, and she had fudge cake, which was light and spongy and she enjoyed it. We went for a Sat+Sun deal called 'Wallet Saver' where a main and dessert only cost £9.99. so we had a 3 course meal and 3 Drinks (1 alcoholic and 2 pints of Coke) and it came to just under £35. What a bargain, especially considering the quality of the food. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, as staff were also very friendly, and the Pub also allows DOGGOS. 10/10 REALLY ENJOYED.

It's an open and spacious pub but feels rather cold. There is a beer garden but only open in the summer. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

A modern Pub offering food and drink at reasonable prices altogether well worth a visit.

Dog and human friendly. Water offered to dog on entrance 👌🏽. Well cooked food and welcoming staff and locals. Breaded plaice, BLT bloomer and nachos were filling and plentiful, even eager to change fries for mash. Great place!

Well managed typical whetherspoons

The staff are very helpful and the food is good quality. I don't wish to discourage you from going to Lord Beechings because it has to be said you will enjoy your meal. However it used to be a lot better as you got much more food for your money (this was before the pub was renovated and the menu changed). I used to enjoy their hot dogs and chips ... it was brilliant, relatively cheap, good quality and very filling! Now though you won't have much change out of £10 with a decent portion of Fish and Chips and a pint of lemonade. Also at the moment they don't have coca cola on tap (which I believe they say is because of the recently introduced sugar tax in England and Wales. Having said that the tax itself is not a ban but I assume they are banning it to discourage drinking fizzy drinks). They only offer bottles. This really puts me off as I would pay extra if they were willing to offer the option. It seems when you renovate a business, bring it up market and then try and make it more ethical and have what are now considered 'respectable' morals (which encourage good health), you lose what made it fun!

A lot better than weatherspoons over the road. Decent staff, lots of locals, dog friendly and decent enough food. No Guinness but not the end of the world.

Nice pub. Excellent football viewing both BT and Sky. Pints only £2.50 during Prem games, Champions League & selected Europa league games. Great food also.
