Called in Sunday evening to collect an order. Peking Duck with pancakes followed by Lemon Chicken & Beef Kung Po, all delicious and generous servings

Bobby’s Chinese restaurant is the best we have been to .Unfortunately we have moved away from Bonnyrigg so not able to visit as often as we would like, but still try to get there every 3 weeks.Duck in plum sauce and lemon chicken absolutely brilliant If you have not tried Hong Kong give it a try you won’t be disappointed

Great Chinese very clean and good food and service. Never had any issues apart from weekends when it is very busy, delivery can be up to an hour and a half but you are always told before ordering.

Have never had a bad experience from here, loved every meal. Highly recommend dishes in honey chilli sauce.

We use this as our Chinese take away. Excellent quality of food, quick service and reasonable cost for food

Food is always fresh, hot and properly cooked. Delivery is quick too. Better than the other Chinese in Bonnyrigg

With to many fast food outlets in Bonnyrigg i find this is the place to go to. Only takeaway or delivery i suggest the half portions.

Slow delivery and variable quality. The delivery service is very slow. Apart from won ton soup, which they don't always have I'm not sure which is the best meal.

This is the best Chinese takeaway in Midlothian, food is great and the staff are friendly. Been coming here for years and still get my takeaway from here even though I’ve moved out of the area.

Worst shredded beef in chilli sauce ever. Sauce was so bitter, straight out of a tin.Nothing authentic about this place.

They have a full menu with plenty of choices. The food has always been great whatever I have chosen. They do local deliveries.

The title says it all really, I use this takeaway regularly and have never had a bad meal! I have never had the food delivered so I can't comment on that but it only takes 20 mins between phoning and collecting! I've had quite a few different meals and they are always tasty.

Always use this established take away great food pleasant staff and they do deliver Friday Saturday and Sunday are always busy so if you want a delivery be prepared to wait up to an hour

Had a takeaway from here a few times, once ordered havn't had long to wait on order, delivery option as well.

Bonnyrigg offers a lot of Chinese take always but Hong Kong stands out, food always fresh and hot, prices comparable and offers half portions of you want to venture out to something new.

A lot of choice in this area but this is my preferred option. Recent visit we ordered a king prawn chow mien, Singapore noodles and spring rolls. Portion size was good and all had plenty of flavour. Would recommend.

We have four Chinese Takeaway Restuarants in Bonnyrigg and I usually favour the one that specialises in Cantonese and Peking cuisine because it is the longest established in the town and you can get half portions of your choice of food..and the staff are always very pleasant....This Saturday after the football I decided to try again this restaurant as it had changed hands a while ago and I liked its food..especially its chicken noodle soup......So the order was Chicken noodle soup and a half portion of Special Curry and half portion of Fried Rice......could be 25 minutes said the assistant because it is a very busy home delivery take away......no where else to go..so fair enough.....but that time came and went and another 10 minutes were added...before being served..Home and looking forward to my selection for tea.......The chicken noodle soup was bland..needed to add a fair amount of pepper to give it some bite.....Special Curry had plenty bulky ingredients but mostly mushrooms..The curry sauce was pleasant and fairly hot......Overall a bit disappointed on the night....but maybe it was the home delivery pressure that made it like it was./.....Will give it another try but..not on a Saturday night....

Got a chicken curry with rice and a hot n sour soup. One of the worst decisions of my Chinese career. Curry was so tasteless I hardly ate a thing. Very disappointed as my friend told me it's really good. Spoilt my Saturday night. Thanks

Food is always delicious and cooked promptly. There are several Chinese takeaways in Bonnyrigg and this is one is the best by far!

We have takeaways from here all the time. It's the best one here in Bonnyrigg. We've tried a few others but they were never on par to Hong Kong. Food is always hot, tasty and ready very quickly. Never had a bad meal from here yet. Definitely the best and staff are always friendly and helpful.

I have lived in Bonnyrigg for many years and my family and I use this takeaway very frequently. The food is very tasty and consistent. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Having read some previous reviews I do not agree with them. Sometimes it is just preference and taste. We've tried many things on the menu and we've never been disappointed as the food always comes freshly cooked and hot. Always good value for money and they even do smaller portions for the kids so we don't have to waste money. I agree that they can be busy and you might have to wait sometimes especially at weekends but to me that means they are a very popular takeaway and definitely worth the wait. Would highly recommend.

A few week ago I finished work and fancied some Chinese, being new to the area I looked up on this site. The reviews seemed mixed so I thought I would try it and I wish I hadn't bothered. The food was terrible so much so that after a couple of mouthfuls I put it straight in the bin. Chicken so dry it was like chewing cotton. There was no flavour at all just greasy slop. Please avoid this place at all costs there has to be a better takeaway in Bonnyrigg.

Great meals and the Staff are really friendly. Food is Freshly cooked. No other Chinese I go to now. Amazing food

The Hong Kong is the best of all the carry outs in the Bonnyrigg area, if not in the county of Midlothian. Sometimes you just need some comfort and this is the place I will always go to for that. Their portions are always plentiful and always tasty

This chinese takeaway is really good, have had several meals from here and each has been quite tasty.

Busy takeaway on a Saturday night. We gave it a second chance after not being impressed the first time and to be honest I would not go back again. There was no authentic flavour to any of the dishes ordered.

I've been a customer at the Hong Kong for a number of years but last night was absoloutley shocking customer service. My order was delivered on time, by the lovely driver. On opening my order, onion&mushroom curry, salt&chilli chips, egg fried rice, prawn crackers and 2 cans of irn bru I noticed there was no mushrooms in my curry, I asked for an onion&mushroom curry. I would never ever ask for only onions! So I phoned the shop only to be told that I NEVER asked for mushrooms, she could ASSURE me I never asked for mushrooms and what did I want HER to do about that?? Certainly won't be back to that Chinese take away again. Never had any problems before and it's a shame they don't record phone calls because she would be proved wrong! Too big in the mouth and should listen to phone orders and get them right!!

I recently moved to the area and was desperate to find a decent Chinese take away. Unfortunately my experience was not enjoyable. Overly sweet gloopy sauces, dry old ribs , greasy rice. To be honest the usual style you find in Scotland. If you like chips and curry sauce I'm sure you would enjoy this place but if you are looking for real authentic Asian food that's fresh , exciting , light and healthy then stay well away.

I have been coming here for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent and staff polite and helpful. I would recommend the chicken chowmein and lemon chicken.

Regularly receive great service and great food from this take away, great staff and lovely chinese food. We just love the chicken chilli garlic, and chicken curry is lovely.
