went in and had a coffee a tea and bakewell tart.beautiful.staff so friendly and helpful.went back a few hours later and had a bacon roll,the best ive eaten for a long long time.id recommend this beauty to anyone.thank you.

We were in town and looking for some lunch, we dropped in to see if they could accommodate us.. 2 mins later and a table cleared from a recent departure and we were in! The toasted Sandwiches is what we went for. Came with a nice salad garnish, highest quality ingredients ... very tasty!

Fantastic little cafe with friendly, helpful staff and great little menu. Dog friendly so perfect for us and our pooch. What a gem. Found it by accident and so pleased we did! Bacon and sausages sandwiches were brilliant and plenty of tea in our pot! Children loved their hot chocolate and toast, dog loved his sausage. Really friendly staff.

Can across this lovely little cafe. A hidden jewel. Such kind and friendly staff. A lovely bowl of soup and warm cheese scone. Pumpkin spice latte, carrot cake traybake and clementine cranberry tray bake rounded out our lovely meal.

Such a lovely lunch with my husband and 3 year old little boy. Without even needing to ask we were offered a ‘picky lunch’ of anything of my sons choice, from cheese, ham, cucumber, tomatoes, bread and butter. All perfect for most 3 year olds! We also ordered a brownie for my son for after his lunch and this was thoughtfully kept behind the counter until he had finished his lunch. Amazing and friendly service and nothing was too much effort. Thank you!

Amazing service. I needed to eat gluten free and they made me a gluten free jacket potato and beans which was delicious. I wanted to try gluten free Bakewell tart which sadly this cafe didn’t have (although they did have some tasty looking g/f cakes) . The owner kindly told us about a baker that sold g/f Bakewell tarts in the town and suggested we bought one and then we could eat it in her cafe. This was so incredibly kind and made me feel included. We will definitely be revisiting when we return to Bakewell. Heartily recommend this cafe to all g/f eaters!

Called in for lunch en-masse as a family unit as we'd seen it was dog friendly online (2 adults, 1 toddler, 1 baby, 1 dog!) - we were made really welcome and they went out of their way to help us (including serving our toddler their food first and quickly, a masterstroke for keeping them happy!) Food and drinks were lovely and the service was great. One happy family!

Annual trip to Bakewell with family and we made a beeline for The Honey Bun cafe. Vidited last year and loved it so headed back again. Jacket Potato, Sandwich and paninis accompanied by lattes and tea. Food was lovely and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely visit again.

Visited this lovely cafe on Tuesday 19th September for lunch. We received a warm welcome from the owner and her assistant. It was so nice to be greeted and met with kindness. Okay - so my first review of this cafe (which I just posted) seems to have disappeared into the dark depths of the web! It is written partly for the owners and partly for the customers.I visited this delightful little cafe mid-morning for a 'light bite' after walking along part of the Monsal Trail from Hassop.I received a warm welcome from the proprietors and was directed to a small table in the window. The cafe was empty at the time of my visit but I could see that the tables were well-spaced to accommodate Covid restrictions and hand sanitiser was available on entry.Being quite hungry, I had the cooked breakfast but was a little underwhelmed by the lack of items included (I guess I should have read the menu a bit more carefully) and was surprised by the quantity of baked beans offered (which was quite a lot).It may be an idea to cut down on the amount of baked beans served and offer another item in addition (such as a hash brown, some tomatoes or mushrooms perhaps) to make the plate a bit more intersting and varied? Still, despite this, the food was hot, well-cooked, flavoursome and overall quite good value.The cup of tea was refreshing and most welcome after my little walk.One surprise in the current climate of Covid-19 restrictions was the fact that the brown sauce was provided in a bottle (of HP) and not as an individual portion (such as a disposable sachet or small 'cup' of sauce). It made me wonder if the bottle had been sanitised before me (it probably had) and would be sanitised afterwards (again probably) - just a point to bear in mind.I shall, however, be returning when I am next in Bakewell and try out some of the cakes on offer!

Excellent covid restrictions in place. Everything was served entirely with throw away cups, plates, knives & forks to eat whilst inside.Just ok basic food , felt like we were being watched the whole time, such a weird, very awkward place, it was obvious they didnt want you in and I couldn't wait to leave ! There's loads of other lovely friendly inviting eateries in Bakewell to chose from, I wouldn't recommend.

Very welcoming cosy little cafe.Even with all the restrictions in place we were made welcome, the place felt clean and safe, the staff were great, the food and drinks were of a good quality and the prices were very reasonable.Will be visiting again next time we are in Bakewell
