We needed to grab some food before attending a gig at The Brudenell so we had a look to see what was nearby and discovered The Holy Mountain underneath The East Village bar. I'm so glad we did, when we walked in the owner greeted us and enthusiastically talked us through the days menu, his clear love of his work was evident and translated so clearly on the plate (well, wooden serving board). Everything we ordered (chicken wings, halloumi fries, fish tacos, halloumi tacos and fries) was perfect, beautifully seasoned and served with delicious salads or sauces. The accompanying cocktail of the day (vodka, ginger, grapefruit for £3.50) was equally delicious (and would have definitely cost twice as much in the town centre). We couldn't fault a thing and can't wait to go back.

Seriously, best fried chicken I’ve ever had. I also recommend any of the tacos, they’re all delicious and definitely make sure you ask if there are any specials on!
