Barburrito in Leeds

£10.45 for this ?? It taste alright but bit overpriced

It's a shame, Barburrito used be really good when it first arrived in Leeds. Gradually over the years, you got less items for your money whilst the price kept creeping up. Although I never got over them taking the steak off the menu, I kept being a loyal customer due to the fact that it was convenient and I'm a bit of a creature of habit. About a month ago I tried the Tacos off their new menu which were actually lovely, then out of nowhere this store is now closed. It was always a bit hit or miss anyway. Try Tortilla in the Trinity instead.

Meh food. I've had much better Mexican food. Ok if you need to grab a quick bite and don't mind the authenticity of it

The environment is pleasant and the service is fast and great. I definitely recommend trying the burritos, they are delicious. However, the tacos leave a little to be desired, I thought they were too small for the price. I'd rather order a burrito next time.

Lately always missing ingredients

The service was amazing. Would recommend. The ginger guy with glasses served me, he was so jolly and polite. I’m in a wheel chair and he helped me to the table, When I got to the table I couldn’t help but notice how nicely varnished table are. So clean. I can’t wait to eat here again. Will be my regular eat out place.

Plenty of choice for filling for your burrito! I’d never actually tried one but there’s multiple options to choose from.

Amazing naked burrito bowls- perfect for a lunch! I came here for a take-out burrito bowl and was not disappointed!! The staff were all super friendly and the portion size and quality of products was very high! I will definitely be coming here again! 😁

My sister and I wanted to try a burrito place in Leeds and we came across barburrito, but sadly it wasn’t good at all. We ordered a burrito and cheesy fries, first of all, the rice tasted horrible, the chicken inside was brown and had no flavor whatsoever. The fries were not even cooked! They were soo soggy and had no flavor as well. Such a disappointment.

Think their burritos have gone down in quality over the years. Used to be absolutely packed but this one felt a bit empty.

Excellent food, very tasty, big portions, prices are affordable, and I always get excellent service as well (especially last time, Lucy was really wonderful).

I love this place. Tasty food with enough ways to mix it up every now and again. Has vegan options and a loyalty card. They often have specials too. The place is a little small so can get quite full if you plan on eating in, a little on the dark side too. Would recommend giving it a go if you like Mexican style food.

Mid week slow service, but I expected that A rude delivery service rider who was served ahead of/left before me had the nerve to complain about how long it took! The staff were all professional and friendly as always Still my favourite place to eat!

I am writing this after trying this place for a takeaway for the first time. To sum it up first in a couple of words, it has potential, but it doesn't quite make it in the end. I had a Classic Bowl, the smaller one. The meat was definitely not enough, a big difference compared to other burrito places, and also it had not enough salt/seasoning. The rice, veggies and sauce were actually great, good flavour, texture, but barely having any meat hurts that a lot. The serving was slow for me, maybe it was just a one off, but the most annoying bit was that the container I got my food in while seeming to be closed tight, it wasn't, and it leaked through my bag because I wasn't inspired enough to ask for a bag just to be cautious, although it isn't something that happens to me with other takeaways I had. For me at least, the burrito could have been great, since the veggies and rice were indeed some of the best I had in a burrito (at least recently), but the lack of seasoning on the meat and the lack of some toppings, just made it feel like trying to save money. Is it an okay place to had a burrito? I think so. Can definitely be very nice for some. I just feel like it is ever so slightly overpriced (it would be more than great if there were more toppings next to the rice) and I will give it another go later down the line, but until then, will get my burritos somewhere else unfortunately.

Really good food, well priced and lovely staff.

The signature fries are really poor, almost like they are not fried. I had the classic burrito, nothing special. To be honest i wish i would have went somewhere else.

Not as good as others, the service is usually average and one time lady was rude and sarcastic to me when I simply was trying to ask what are the vegetarian options. I get that it is busy but no reason to be rude.

Messes people around. They add items on too good to go without knowing if they'll be available when people come to pick them up. I was turned around at 9:50pm on a Sunday, and needed to then find somewhere to eat at that time. Shameful

Waited until 21:40 for a too good to go order, only to be told they didn't actually have any left overs.

Cancelled my order (UberEats) after 40 minutes of waiting.

Refused service at 10.00 when google says 10.30pm, they were rude about it too. Don’t recommend at all!

Vegan option consists of the "THIS Isn't Chicken" - which is quite dry. It costs more to have this, then they seem to charge more for more veg. As you go down the line speaking with the staff the cost seems to mount. Before they had the "THIS" you could just get a burrito with all the veg options and guac, much better I think.

5* for Taro! I would like to honour Taro Barburrito maker! I have compared other colleagues with him, and he is doing amazing burrittos! Adding a lot of rice, beans, meat! Just what every customer loves! Unfortunatelly I got burritto from other colleague who was new and I was very unhappy about my burrito as I took Regular and buritto was not whole, was missing rice, beans, meat, staff was doing like they would be very greedy and would lack products. So was very unhappy. But I hope everyone will be taught by Taro how to make real burritos! As if I am unhappy every other customer will be unhappy and I would like everyone to be happy for what they are paying for!

A burrito is a special thing, a particular balancing act, a double edged sword. Should the wrap be too loose or taut the meal is messy and inconvenient. Dry fillings parch the mouth, and we can only pray to never receive a soggy burrito. Stepping through the doors out of the cold December atmosphere, I saw my saviour. The man who could make the perfect burrito. The next few moments felt like a dream. I stared amazed as my burrito - nay - my very own work of art was born from his deft hands. My day was made, my belly filled, and my heart was lifted. I am forever grateful for that charming man, Sebastian Dillon.

The worst experience ever I order 2 burritos with the too-good-to-go app 2h before the deadline and when I went to the shop to pick up my order I’ve been told that they run out of food after staying in the queue for 15 mins. The personnel was so rude

Such a lovely place! The shop is spotless, extremely clean and organized with soft 70s Jazz music. The shop has a great atmosphere with Mexican vibes! The staff are super friendly and nice with a big smile on their face. They are more than just normal Mexican food! You have a lot of options for any diet and taste. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and Even Halal food! Today Steven served me, and he gave me a bottle of corona on the house! Big thank you to BARBURRITO, guys you make my day. I will come back again and again! Highly recommended!

I ordered from Deliveroo once after not eating in a while and the loaded burrito which was pretty expensive was a tiny burrito. I felt so offended by the amount of food I received for having the largest burrito and being loaded. Also, I was passing by the other day to try it in person and, while I didn’t care how much I was going to pay, I wanted a large burrito and a large portion and the staff were too eager to finish my order, put the food in and good bye. It was so bad that they forgot to put 2 sauces I asked for and also did not charge me for my mums burrito. I had to tell them so I was charged. When I ate there I decided no to clean my table, because they didn’t let me speak when ordering the burritoamd the burrito was so watery that it felt apart. I don’t think I’ll ever come back here. It didn’t used to be like that and in the competition they serve a lot better your expectations rather than counting the grams they’re serving you and trying to get rid of you. Over priced, charging extra for everything for average food. Ordered cheesey fries and was charged extra for the cheese, is this not part of the dish? Charging £1 extra for a spoon of guacamole for something that belongs on a burrito is a micky take. The burritos weren't wrapped tight enough, so were loose and fell apart whilst eating. £31 for two people to eat a 2x burritos, 2x drinks and 1x fries and a few extras is expensive, especially as its less than average. If you want value for money go else where. This place has potential but the staff are to busy up selling to do the basics.

Deffo my go-to quick food place in Leeds. Been a few times, good service. Although once, I got a big chunk of fat from my beef in my burrito, and another time, they didn't put cheese on my burrito even though I asked twice for it and I didn't realise until he'd just finished wrapping it. Good food, little pricey, but I don't get it that often! Will still keep going :)

Quite expensive for what you pay for; portion sizes on the smaller side and the food was okay if a bit bland - I've had better Mexican style food from other places.

Had a loaded burrito about 3pm today. It's now 8:15pm and I can't even contemplate eating anything else before bedtime. Top marks!

First time eating here since before the pandemic, and God have I missed the food. The young (and new) staff member who served me was very enthusiastic and very friendly.

The staff took no concern to our dietary requirements (vegan), handled our food with the same gloves used to handle meat products and since the veg is idiotically placed next the the cheese I found cheese in both burritos. An absolute joke, don't advertise vegan food if you take no steps to ensure its not contaminated

Terrible service today, wanted a beer but the store had no bottle opener available. The server asked if we had our own bottle opener. Had to have a soft drink instead. My suggestion would would be to go out and buy a bottle opener from a shop. Asked for a bowl but the server said they are not clean and was struggling to find a clean one. Had to ask for a fork as they weren’t available to pick up at the usual spot.

Hit and miss, sometimes amazing sometimes really not...

The staff we're okay. A little inexperienced when asked for recommendations as it was my first time there and my first ever burrito. I had a simple one with pulled pork and salad and to be honest it wasn't bad however was very bland. All I could taste really was the warm wrap. And unfortunately later that night I was incredibly sick. So to summarise it was okay place with a terrible reaction, hope if I visit again it's much better!

First time at Barburrito. I got the salt and pepper chicken wrap and I love the ability to decide what fillings go in your burrito! Lots of choice of fillings and makes it very delicious. Highly recommend the salt and pepper chicken one although I think it may be limited edition.

Thought I’d try it out to see if it was any good. Chipotle is 10x better than this place and even tortilla is a lot better. No half half meat? No beans and veg together? Beans were bland in a watery sauce, meat was bland and unauthentic, veg looked so unfresh, rice dreadfully dull with no tang, sour cream from a subway bottle. So overly expensive. Not to mention the food was cold within a min of serving. No wonder it was empty!

Used to love this place but am quite disappointed after coming back after a while between visits. Vegetarian options are the same price as meat options which isn’t the end of the world, but I found that the small bowls are so tiny as to barely qualify as a snack. For £6.95 I am shocked at the small amount of food, feel like I’ve just gone to a food stall at Camden market. The food quality is still good and the staff were friendly but I don’t think I will come back after this. Off to find a real tea now.

Very decent meal box. You can choose your own base and meat or veggies. Their vegan chicken is very flavoury. The topping and the sauce is also tasty! They open until very late so it is very convenient. I had a take away last time since it was late. But it is absolutely worthy of eating in. They have some interesting decor and the vibe is cool! Fab staff, good location and good selection!

I ordered a beef burrito and added black beans, no sauces other than the salsas. The food was filling, except for the protein, the beef portion was small. The problem I had was the taste, I went to a Mexican restaurant expecting Mexican flavors but unfortunately the only Mexican part of this place is possibly the salsas... The food tasted sweet which is not expected in Mexican burritos, and I don't think this is a place that can be advertised as a Mexican establishment, i also tried the chicken chorizo, which also is not a Mexican combination but I thought it would be worth a shot, while this was not sweet, the combination doesn't seem right to my taste buds.

First time here. Very good service. Food was lovely, would definitely recommend. My only negative is there was no napkins or cutlery!

Lovely burritos, tasty and fresh. Lot of ingredients to choose. Pulled pork, grilled chicken, Chipotle chicken and more. Guacamole - 5 star. My favourite mex beer Modelo also available here. Had "loaded " one and portion is absolutely big enough.

I spent a whopping £25 on this tripe last night and I was nothing short of flabbergasted on how tiny the portion sizes were. The burrito was the size of fig roll & the cheesy chips couldn't fill up Mo Farah. I also ordered a size of wings because i like to try different types around Yorkshire and they were boring, plain and slimy as piss. DO NOT order from this crapshack because you won't be happy. Food Poisoning! Early evening Thursday 17th we ordered takeaway via Deliveroo from Leeds Barburrito. I’m 6 months pregnant and have ordered from here several times since this branch opened with no issues on food quality or safety. So why would I think in my current condition that this time would be any different. Well I’m sorry to say the time I needed to rely on the restaurant to provide a consistent service the most they completely failed me and my unborn baby. First off when the delivery arrived it was wrong. We received random items, items in place of what we ordered and a bottle of Coke Zero we didn’t order at all. All the food was stone cold, the chips in particular were pale, soggy, cold, mashed up and just well weird. I’ve never seen such poor quality chips. Deliveroo offered a credit for almost the full order and although we were hugely disappointed we got on how we could. For my main I had the Keto-Protein bowl. A supposedly nice and healthy option for a pregnant lady! And something much more easily enjoyed cold than my poor partners stone cold burrito! At 12pm I was woken up with stomach cramping. Being pregnant I wasn’t sure what was causing it straight away but I felt like I was still trying to digest my dinner so I went and sat on the sofa upright to help aid the process. Although I was in pain I managed to doze for about another hour before I was abruptly woken with severe body shivers. Shortly after I had the worst stomach cramps and then followed the violent diarrhoea. It was clear at this point that I had food poisoning! After a horrendous night with no sleep I felt like I had done ten rounds with Tyson! I attempted to eat something light the following day. The first time the diarrhoea continued so I left it again for a few more hours and tried to get some rest. Then in the afternoon I tried something light again, this culminated in me vomiting having diarrhoea and then having severe body aches and pains. So bad I ended up in hospital so they could monitor the wellbeing of my unborn baby and myself to ensure nothing else was happening as a result of the poisoning. All in all a hellish 24 hours. I’m now 48 hours in and still not eaten anything. Thanks very much for your care and attention Barburrito Leeds! Deliveroo refunded us the full cost of the meal and told the restaurant to contact us. You’d think they would have made this a priority but no. We’ve had still as yet had no contact from this restaurant at all!! Literally adding insult to injury. Having now read some of the most recent reviews on Google it’s clear this branch has really gone down hill and by their non-contact they don’t really care about it much either. As a freelancer I missed a full days work with no pay. When I needed to go to the hospital my partner had to leave his job to rush to me also losing money and has also missed out on a day at work to look after me 48 hours in. We will now be seeking legal advice and compensation for this severe negligence from Barburrito.

Too slow lazy staff in kitchen 😴

Overpriced rubbish. The person serving would have been better off using tweezers to put on the ingredients, as they were so tightly measured, with a minuscule amount of each ingredient. As you go along the wrap making process, it seems like each additional minimally measured topping is an extra £1. I ended up with a relatively small burrito wrap for £8 !!! £5 would have been pushing it really. The burrito was lukewarm. Won’t return
