Booked because of location - we were attending a wedding at the botanical gardens, which was within walking distance. Very nice room. Meals were taken at the pub next door - all very good.

Decent place to stay if visiting the university. The hotel itself is attractive from the outside and rooms are decently decorated. However the hotel is right on the road, with little in the way of sound insulation. Internal sound insulation is also lacking. Beds reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was at the pub next door. That was nice enough, if rather slow service. If visiting the university, worth consideration.

Booked to stay here whilst we were in Brum to see the Foo Fighters at Villa Park. It's in a lovely peaceful location, but only about 10'ish minutes walk to Broad Street. Free parking, great welcome from Rachel & fab room. We had a drink & some lunch at their bar/restaurant next door & received amazingly welcoming & friendly service from Lita - she is just the friendliest lady ever. Slept really well & enjoyed the cooked to order breakfast the morning after. We couldn't find fault with anything, we are definitely staying here the next time we are in Brum.

I've been here....many many times... some staff are just standing around... more concerned about seated customers in the restaurant... while people are waiting at the bar to order drinks... it used to be alot better.... must do better.

We were eating out in Edgbaston village and fancied a nightcap. Headed to the Highfield which was very busy. The staff went out of their way to get a table for us inside. All our drinks were excellent! Wines and cocktails- just top notch! Bar staff were amazing too, friendly and funny! Highly recommended this place, looking forward to going when the sun has got his hat on as the garden is glorious! Many thanks for a fabulous afternoon!

What a gem. Fantastic room, spacious and clean with a great shower, enormous towels and comfy beds. The staff at both the hotel and pub are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast choice was great and having the pub next door is a bonus. Location is very close to a tram stop to get straight into the city centre. Can't wait for an excuse to return.

Stayed here for one night when in Birmingham for a friend's wedding. Value for money was good, would recommend - about 100 quid a night for the room we picked, which was clean, good sized bed, small but nice bathroom - did the job. Restaurant next door is a good location for both evening drinks, or breakfast.

Great location/rooms/staff/ food. My only grumble was breakfast quantity was noticeably smaller at the weekend.

Beautiful place to stay, close to the city centre but in a nice quiet spot. I think my only gripe would be having to walk from one building to the other for breakfast - thankfully the weather was nice - having said that it certainly wouldn't put me off staying again. The food was excellent and the room was spotless and spacious. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Sabi’s Kitchen in Birmingham is a fantastic find! The food is authentic and full of flavor, with a great selection of dishes that truly capture the essence of homemade cooking. Our favorite is the Amritsari kulcha—it was so good that we went back just for it! The portions are generous, and the spices are just right. Service is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend Sabi’s Kitchen for anyone craving delicious, comforting food with a personal touch!

Best food on Stratford road! We haven’t got the pictures but we had the platter for 2 it was really good! Big portion and the food was amazing! My sister isn’t fond of Turkish food, but she said she would definitley have that again.
