Amazing bar with a great atmosphere with plenty of entertainment such as quizz nights and live music , friendly staff who always make you feel welcome.

Under new management, easy access, wheelchair friendly with proper disabled toilet

I've only been in a couple of times lately, This was my local as a you man. The re vampire looks OK but will be great for sports/football loads of screens , also in seated booths.

The company who own this pub must be desperate for managers because the people in there now are appalling, Saturday night and you have a female member of staff sitting at the bar eating takeaway food, the service is appalling, the atmosphere is not good you have almost as many doorstaf as customers needless to say I will not be returning in a hurry.

Cheap and cheerful in the heart of Chester-Le-Street. You cannot easily beat the prices and with such a good location it is on of the pubs to visit if you are in town.

Last Sunday I had two pints of carling it was very nice pints many thanks 🍻

We ordered our drinks & my drink was wrong so I told them what I had ordered which I had made clear at the time & the bar maid was so miserable & literally bashed our drink down on the counter,absolutely disgusting, she was miserable & the customer service from her was appealing, I would be seriously thinking about who you are employing

Absolute dump, weird how they think that any normal person would want to look at pictures of some football club owned by Saudi Arabia. Avoid at all costs unless you like the smell of gravy. Far better pubs to visit in Chester, avoid at all costs!

It was a wet quiet day but a few people in - lad serving was great - it's a pub I normally visit Friday/Saturday and it's enjoyable

On a recent visit to the area, we needed to find somewhere to watch the football, (important game my partner didn't want to miss). Friendly but, £3.15 for a pint, couldn't go wrong.

Not changed since I was a teenager. Decor has been updated but feels the same. A typical pub

Would definitely not recommend this place to a dog, the bouncers are horrendous, and really need retraining the bar staff are only friendly to locals and to be perfectly honestly the bar is a mess the toilets are just disgusting and unkempt floor is sticky and the atmosphere is tence if you are not from the area. I really wouldn't even bother.

Myself and some friends came here to watch the womens football. We asked if they would put it on for us and they did straight away. We sat in a little section where there was seating and we had the area to our selves. There was some regulars in the other side who we chatted with. Staff are friendly. Had a great night.

This is now an Indian restaurant and very nice it was. Went as a birthday meal and both the staff and the meal were excellent. Will definitely be visiting again. Booking recommended

Genuine people's public house... Ales and wines reasonable price, service could be a little better I had to wait and wasn't acknowledged by the young bar man... It's most important to invite new customers as soon as possible.... In these times a customer missed, is a customer lost.

We went to visit friends and this pub is amazing so welcoming and friendly staff are brilliant so good we went all weekend ....had roast beef sandwich on Sunday to die for definitely be back who needs Newcastle just go here .

Wednesday night from 7. 30 till 10 propper impro live music. Great a real treat. No karaoke rubbish. Go once and give youself a treat. Good set of reglars. Very busy fri sat sunday. Open 2am. Enjoy.

Just had Sunday Lunch delivered for the 1st time after a recommendation from a friend of my parents. Outstanding!! Food was hot, really tasty and came in huge portions. Lovely crunchy veg, soft and fluffy puddings, beef was super tender and I had 3 lovely slices of it. This may have been the 1st time but it most definitely won't be the last Very impressive

Called in a couple of times now, after cricket, first time there was a minor scuffle, second time able to enjoy a quiet drink.

Lovely staff. Barrel of laughs in this pub all the time. Recommended. Plus my lovely brother works their too.

Ladies toilet is a death trap. Wet floors, I slipped went down, feeling some sore spots and soon did another woman did the same. Reported what happened to a member of staff and the manager, neither showed any corse for concern. So be aware
