We were served by a lovely lady called Hollie , who could not have been more polite and friendly and her attention was first class , we will definitely be back .5 star service.

Nice friendly atmosphere, the food is always good , we go mainly for the carvery and it is always served with a smile & a bit of humour which is always appreciated.

Order gammon steak, which was ok,and pizza,with extra chicken,onion and pepper,what I got was cooked frozen cheese pizza with extra on,what a waste of money,had enough frozen pizza to know the difference from freshly made,I hate getting ripped off,but that what happened tonight.

Visited with my 12 year son and his friend for a pizza lunchtime treat. Refillable drinks is a great idea for the thirsty boys and the pepperoni pizzas were devoured. It was a busy lunch service but service and food wait times were spot on.

Staying at the Premier Inn next door I had the breakfast, but I also went in for a snack, and for a drink. Every time I went in the atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were friendly. Even when they were busy. The food was delicious and filling.

Nice comfortable pub in a convenient passing place near main roads, good food.

The Sunday carvery as it was called was absolutely dismal. No mashed potato left. We should have been told this before paying for 3 adult carveries. Very poor selection of vegetables Gravy had no taste at all. The meat was really nice however when having a Sunday carvery you expect a good variety. We arrived at not long after 4pm so not as if it was late Sunday evening. Staff all very friendly and very helpful . No issue at all great service but the worst carvery I've ever had!

My friends chicken was rubbery and tasted revolting. They did reimburse the money for the meal. We will not be going there again

Y should u have to pay for ye kids to play when you are purchasing food and drinks, ridiculous kid food is garbage miniscule portions tried to give us popcorn chicken instead of chicken nuggets then the waitress stood and argued that they were nuggets when clearly NOT!!! Overall thought it was pathetic and it was quiet

Stayed at the Premier Inn with the meal deal. Unlimited breakfast, two course dinner with a drink.

Always amazing service from Amelia and her team. Today Jonny was our server and he went above and beyond for us. Made my Daughters birthday that more special. Thanks x

I was unable to get vegetables as an alternative to chips, can't see any changes on the new menu, just the same as previous menu No table service and usually only 2 bar staff

Waited a long while for the food and when it came it was just warm not hot. Staff were pleasant though and place looked clean and tidy when we walked in.

Absolutely fantastic place. The young man explaining and talking about the different wisckes was extremely knowledgeable and friendly very wellmanard and polite. I would recommend you visit and enjoy the experience.

Staying at the premier inn opposite as I have done for years. With no problems all of a sudden the staff have decided to stop producing food at 9 o'clock at night instead of 9.30 as stated on the menu. This in its own is not a massive issue. The big issue is that they decided to close the hole establishment at 10.20 at night even though it states that they should be open till 11 o'clock. If you close an establishment early then fine but don't let paying guest think they have more time than you are allowing them kind regards gary

Ate here twice while staying at the Premier Inn next door. The restaurant is very clean, staff helpful and friendly, service very good and we enjoyed the food. The menu is fairly typical for this type of pub but everything is good.

A last minute decision to call for tea and we weren't disappointed, partner had the mixed grill and said it was one of the best he's had locally in a long time, my daughter had a rump steak cooked rare and it was cooked perfectly and I had katsu curry with rice which was lovely. Staff regularly offering assistance and checking we were happy with our food. We had a really lovely evening.

Two adults and two teenagers thoroughly enjoyed our meal, we will definitely be back.

Been here few times over the years and to be fair never been the best,however tonight food was awesome mixed grill and katsu chicken curry best around bishop

The fish came with skin still on under the batter and also there was long dark hairs in my fish aswell and the burger looked like a sponge I do not recommend going to there !

Tables were spaced well out and staff were very friendly and helpful, will be going again.

Took my niece here so she could play in the climbing adventure. 4 of us had versus meals , Steak, Squash and spinach lasagna, Chicken and ham pie, Gammon steaks, all cooked very well. My wife who is vegetarian loved the Lasagne .

I ordered at the bar & the waitress taking my order told me two minutes while she finished using her mobile. She wasn’t friendly or helpful with the menu at all. I ordered the katsu curry and several days later I’m still looking for the rest of the portion! It could’ve been mistaken for a child’s portion. It was £11 and tasted very bland. My disabled daughter had the kids pasta, I wasn’t asked what sides she’d like so she couldn’t have them as it came with corn on the cob she can’t manage to eat. Empty plates sat for quite a while before being cleared away and it wasn’t at all busy during our visit. Wouldn’t return or recommend

I think this pub has had its time… tables has not been wiped or cleaned had to find member of staff to clean it the menu was greasy we ordered fish and chips it was ment to be beer battered fish it took ages to come I thought the went to Whitby to catch the fish … finally when it come the fish batter was not crispy and the fish was too over cooked it was rubbery chips wasn’t all that too. I think it’s had its day that pub only thing going for it was the drinks.

Loved this place, spent a month in Premier Inn so always popped in after work. Always pleasant service, all members of staff were accommodating and very approachable. Niall I got to know, intelligent young man you got there, sharp on the madri tap lol. Enjoyed our chats. Take care buddy. Charley I saw in the Range (my workplace) as well as at her work place. Lovely lass, polite and can give a little banter back. Miss ya. And Amelia, always presentable, elegant. Top people skills, A very thoughtful young lady. Thankyou for your help during our stay.

Foods fairly standard big chain pub grub. Nothing g special but does the job. The carverys however are really good and value for money. Price of a pint is pushing a fiver for the generic normal ales.

It's Brewers Fayre, but there wasn't anything not to like to be honest as long as you know what you are expecting with a chain pub. Food we had no complaints to be honest especially as we got the two for £11.50 offer. Service was fine

Re review after taking our 10 year old for a birthday meal, we were served by Johnny who was amazing, really helpful and even interacted with the kids love adults a huge bonus at a 10 year old party. Thank you brewers fair especially jonny and the manager who I unfortunately did not catch her name. Can't wait to see you all soon .

Went for unlimited breakfast. What a joke. By time we placed order and had food in front of us the breakfast was finishing so had to order more straight away. All cereal and toast and juice was put away while people were eating. They should have come round and told us it was being put away so could have made toast. Food was awful. Sausage was raw. Bacon no flavour. Egg was not cooked. We had no mushrooms or blackpudding on the plate. Another customer complained she didn't have time to order more food. And the man that looked like a manager was laughing about it after the customer had gone. Will not be back again. Will stick with toby.

The food was nice, we had Sunday carvery. There was nothing exceptional about the bar staff. In fact, they seemed disorganised and frantic with Sunday service. The only thing that stood out was a happy chef serving the carvey. He was friendly, upbeat, and made time to chat and make jokes with his customers.

Nice quite restaurant, made an amazing ribs however I was disappointed by the rubbery chicken. The extra large grill came on a rather small plate considering. However the server was friendly and the food was tasty and I would definitely go back again. My friend had a lasagna and highly rated the taste and quality.

visited yesterday & service was excellent, Jonny was particularly helpful. Caramel apple Betty & custard was really nice. Only down side to our visit was customers not using the designated smoking areas, smoking at the entrance/exit door is most unpleasant.

Not been here for a while, and sadly won’t be going back. Service was mediocre, ordered a starter with additional goons and was brought garlic bread! By the time the goujons arrived the rest of the starter was gone. Mainz was even worse. Ordered luxury crumb top chicken and pulled ham pie, got chicken and potato pie. Still looking for the pulled ham. Skin on chips were frozen skinny chips and some insignificant cold peas. £40 wasted. Sadle l the smokers congregate outside the front door as well so the smoke is really off putting. Really really not a good place to eat.

Pretty expensive for what's on your plate, the food was tasty but we left hungry . Portions were very small. The play area was great for the kid its the only reason I gave a 2 star

Had fish a d chips here yesterday best we had for a long while anywhere. Nice and hot and very tasty. Service was a little slow, and not many people in at lunchtime. Nice inside, but quite dark and very quiet.

Loved it was first visit very impressed shall be back again soon

Service was poor again, had a hair in my ribs. Staff member said she didn't even want to be there. Not a great atmosphere at all.

We went as a family of 9 for my 60th birthday. I don't drink now, so was a little disappointed that mocktails were unavailable at lunch time, but settled for zero Heineken. The waiter Johnny I think his name was, for our table was brilliant. Had all meals brought out at the same time. Polite at all times, and brought stuff to entertain the kids at the table. Kept asking if everything was okay with us and the meal. A lovely experience. We will be back thankyou. Date visited 05/04/2024

We took my poorly partner out for a dinner here and he ended up needing medical help. The first aider Peter was so much help and support. I cannot praise him enough. Although we didn’t get to eat our meal the service received went above and beyond. I can’t thank Peter enough. He deserves every 5 star

Pre-booked a table at The Tindale Crossing Brewers Fayre for Sunday lunch for 5 people (3 adults and 2 children). We arrived a little early and were warmly welcomed, shown to our table and given menus to peruse. The place was clean and well presented, there was also plenty of staff on hand to answer any questions we had. The adults decided to go for the carvery meal with a mix of meats while the kids went for a 3 course children's meal each. The food was of good quality and everyone tucked into and thoroughly enjoyed their lunch and drinks in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. What made our visit extra special was the attention shown to us throughout our dining experience by one particular member of staff (Jonny) who was pleasant and professional in his approach while assisting us with our various requests. In brief, a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon with good food and excellent service. Thank you Tindale Crossing and extra thanks to Jonny.

Website claims they are open till 23:00 yet our party of 18 people who had been in all evening and had meals were told to drink up at 10 as they were closing up. Similar thing happened the previous night.

Personally thought meat portion was bit small for carvery but rest was good

Went down for Sunday Lunch. Food was great, the chef was great, had a chat with my three year old while servicing. Was very busy for as you would expect for Sunday lunch.

Amelia and the staff provided outstanding service. Food brought out quickly. All my needs were catered for.

Very well looked after while we were working away. Amelia was brillaint in helping us get most out of our meal allowances. Staff were friendly as well

We come here occasionally so the kids can use the indoor play area while we have something to eat, the 2 previous times I’ve been there was a young girl working the play area part, very moody and unpleasant (seemed like she didn’t like kids, which isn’t great when working in a play area), on the way in today I said I hope she’s not in this time. Anyway, we were pleasantly greeted by a lovely blonde lady, I think she was called Lesley. She was excellent, really friendly and interacted with the kids on arrival. Always checking the play area to make sure everything was ok, couldn’t do enough for everyone. Made a huge difference to have pleasant member of staff. Hopefully see her again next time! Enjoyed our Carvery and it was reasonably priced, carvery was also served by a lovely man.

Horrendous! Booked for carvery 3.30pm . Arrived 3pm got shown to seat . Long que at bar . Payed for lunch . 3.15 only 2 meats and very little left . Got scraps. No roast potatoes or parsnips. Sat to eat . Went back for more gravy and all food took away! Advertised until 6pm ! Why take bookings for late afternoon if they run out of food. Was going to speak to manager on leaving bur another large family already very annoyed at manager for apparently insulting a young child with them . Family extremely annoyed as manager laughed off the comments so we just left .

On the 7.1.24 week booked a table for 3:15 for 4 adults and 3 children, arrived on time , took a quite some time to actually be seen to , paid and queued for carvery one of the children got the smallest portion on chicken breast, then for us all to be there's no meat left but we could just have vegetables, this was an insult and an embarrassment , when we asked for a refund there seemed to be an issue and we're charged for drinks . Obviously we weren't staying for a meal so drinks wernted needed , we asked for refund then tried to give my dad less money than paid We again has a issue getting full refund but got there in the end .as we were leaving the person serving us decided to laugh and talk about us so we question it and was laughed Really unprofessional and wouldn't recommend and never use again

Absolutely terrible place the food is barely edible. And the service is very poor. The beer is warm and flat. The place is tatty and dirty needs a refit. Just avoid it and go anywhere else

Spent a 2 day stay in premier inn 18th/19th Dec. The stay was as expected. Unfortunately, the food was uneatable. I had to go to the bar and ask about the sweet after a 20 min wait. Don't wat is was but both my wife and myself came down with a food bug.. I frequently stay in Bishop Auckland/ Premier Inn.. It's definitely my last time in the tindale Crossing..

food was slow coming out when not busy. If you are heading here because you'll get blue light discount, then dont bother at all. family of 4... we got 3.75 off

Absolutely terrible, ordered smothered chicken it was supposed to have cheese and bbq sauce there was no cheese and the tiniest bit of sauce, it was also supposed to have salad and coleslaw, it had neither although the server did apologise and brought them out on another plate, I have been here several times but I have to say I don't think i will bother again, very disappointed

Always a pleasure to have a meal can't wait for Christmas Day lunch hope it's a good as experience as last year

Went here today.had a LOVELY SUNDAY carvery, lovely food, fresh veg, eaten across the way previous weekend and.had to.send backs wasn't cooked . Veg raw and portion sizes small for MORE. Ate here for £11.49. Food lovely fresh well.cooked and PLENTY OF IT. ROAST POTS BEAUTIFULLY CRISPY. SO.MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM will definitely be.back here and not the other one. ONLY GRIP IS FOOD SHOD BE ON HOT PLATES.OR HEATED MORE.as within 7 or so mins went quite cold. I like my food steaming hot. Suppose staff could have warmed if I requested.it. but defo be back. Gammon Beef & Turkey beautiful. WELL DONE BREWERS.Fyre tindale crossing pat on your backs . Good food at good prices too.
