We sat in the sun outside in the garden area. we had drinks, tea, and enjoyed the break on our way to Long Ashes. It is a nice cafe, smart shop and excellent garden centre.

What a wonderful surprise find! Beautiful exterior which caught our eye so we popped in, the aroma as you enter the shop is so welcoming and relaxing. The staff are extremely friendly. The selection of drinks and cakes was amazing. I had a warm cheese scone with chilli jam, mum had a fruit scone, we had a rhubarb crumble pastry for dessert, all absolutely divine! If there was ever a guide as to how to run a cafe and shop this is a fine example. The shop is full of lovely homewares. We sat behind the shop in a lovely garden room overlooking a beautiful garden. Lots lovely plants for sale. We will be back 5*

Terrific cafe/shop for anyone who likes a friendly reception, lovely food and a great choice of flowers and plants. Eric and Eddie, the friendly dogs, are a bonus. Thanks also to Nigel for sharing his expertise about the kind of plants that would suit our garden's needs. Will become regular visitors!

Well, we were very excited to hear that the owner trained to make coffee in Australia - and it showed. Fabulous coffee, beautfully baked cakes and goods. Heather was so helpful, she even helped me source a freshly baked cake for my birthday the very next day. Thank you for impecable service, delicious food and surrounded by scandi decor. If we are back in Grassington next year we will definitely stop by!

This place is so good the locals try to keep it a secret! A genuinely family business. Daughter Heather runs the best coffee shop for miles with excellent coffee and temptingly good snacks in a uniquely relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Mother Wendy runs a superb flower shop in great demand for weddings for miles around and a beautiful naturalistic style. Dad , now retired from teaching horticulture to half of Yorkshire, has (out back) a very interesting selection of plants. Quite special! Loads of lovely staff.

Came here with an elderly friend who has mobility difficulties so going into Grassington and her walking any distance is not an option. There is a small car park with level access to the cafe/ florists. A lovely interior with plants/ gifts all around which gives it a lovely ambience. I had a coffee and walnut cake and a hot chocolate. My friend a cheese scone and a latte. The cake tastes great but was on the dry side for my liking. The icing was yummy so that compensated. Hot Chocolate was one of the best I’ve had!! Friends scone was light and came with yummy chilli jam which she enjoyed. Friendly staff, lovely venue and clearly well used by locals. I’d be happy to come again!

I finally visited The Hedgerow after driving past many times. Both my partner and I loved our visit and I was very impressed with the friendly service, good quality coffee and the lemon cake was good too. I was also tempted by the home decor and plants for sale. Will definitely be back!

I stopped here hoping for some really nice coffee - and I wasn't disappointed. It really is the best coffee in the area. What a beautiful shop - as well as coffee, a huge choice of teas and gorgeous looking cakes there are flowers, gifts and a very friendly welcome. If you're interested n the area, make sure you pop in.

Morning coffee ? We have been going here every month, and every time a nice welcome. It has changed over the years, and always has space for customers, and pleasant service, plus a range of coffee how you like it, and our habitual choice is scones or toasted teacake, decaf and filter coffee with cold milk or hot milk. We call it snack and chat, with morning coffee, a walk locally, and tea when we`ve finished before closing time at 4. Our visits have pretty well been monthly over 5 years, so its a good starting point to get you on your way.

The Hedgerow is one of those places that you will keep going back to, it’s just that fabulous! Great service, very friendly and accommodating staff, lovely food and drink and it’s a smashing florist as well. It has become my very favourite place to meet and natter with friends and family. If I need flowers for a special occasion they produce something that always becomes a talking point.

I agree with the previous review - quirky! I also rate The Hedgerow extremely highly. Staying locally over a four day period, we visited every day owing to the chilled out atmosphere, extremely personable service and interesting menu options. Without doubt, the best coffee shop in Grassington / Threshfield in my opinion.

We used this cafe as a pit stop on our cycle ride and as soon as you walk in the smell of the flowers is wonderful. Served by a very friendly girl who made us feel very welcome, we order soup (with proper bread!) and teacakes which were enjoyed in the sunny garden. Friendly people who make you feel very welcome! Can highly recommend this place, we for sure will be coming back!

My wife and I stumbled upon this place by accident. We were in there at midday and had a soup and cappuccino. The soups are freshly made, we had the Vegetable Soup which came with two door stops of fresh bread and butter. The cappuccinos were the best we have ever had. The use Silver top milk and it makes the coffee taste creamy. We have been in there regularly and the atmosphere is extremely friendly. It is well used by locals which shows they are doing things right. The flower displays which come out are gorgeous, they certainly have the right ingredients for a wonderful business. Oh and the cakes and scones aren’t bad either!! If your in the area you won’t be disappointed.

Went on a beautiful sunny day and can’t speak highly enough of it. It’s a lovely little set up and we soaked up the sun in the outside courtyard. Coffees were beautifully made and presented. Had a toasted bagel and cream cheese which was lovely. Well worth a visit if your passing by in the Dales.

We were heading into town for a coffee when we noticed the sign for this coffee shop, and it has the added bonus of being dog friendly. As we walked through the door , we were treated to the wonderful aroma of the fresh flowers and then loved the delicious fruit scone and carrot and orange cake with coffees. Friendly service and lots of cards and home decor to browse around - fantastic place!

Had an excellent latte here sitting amongst the beautiful floral displays. This cafe/florist is a place of serenity, with a calming and stylish interior offering delicious cake and coffee. The ladies obviously work very hard and should be rewarded for their efforts. Trust me there is nothing average about the Hedgerow, either as a florist or a Cafe it’s first class.

This is five star for what it is -- a very charming, cozy, relaxing little cafe in the front of a delightful florist shop which offered a few amazing looking cakes, some scones and crumpets, and a soup (I believe) along with beverages. You'll sit at one of several happily located tables enjoying the view and sweet fragrance of beautiful flowers. The homemade cake was even more delicious than it looked -- so we came twice. The owner's happy daughter was running the cafe one day and obviously loved working there. We enjoyed talking with her and seeing the wedding flowers being arranged in the back part of the shop. There were also some delightful little gifts for sale including some fun snail-ended teaspoons and some excellent homemade jam. It's just outside of Grassington and was our favorite stop there.

Charming little cafe in the Yorkshire Dales. We made a pitstop here on our road trip. OK parking facilities and toilet. Not sure about accessibility for wheelchairs - definitely not from the back but maybe from the front... Small and cosy, traditional decor, there's a florist round the back, arty postcards and gifts. The cakes looked amazing and we were very tempted to try them but resisted! We had 3 lattes to go, unfortunately none of us liked the taste, not sure if they are using some sort of special organic or free range milk but we all thought it tasted a bit funny and did not finish them.

It's a shame, but our well loved local Chinese Takeaway has closed for business. Johnny and his wife have retired. We now await to see if it will reopen in another guise.

This place is in a beautiful location. After a hard day cycling, we we had run out of water and food. Although the tea-room was closed we asked if our water bottles could be topped up. The lady who owns the place was busy but she could not have been more kind and helpful. She brought us delicious home-made chocolate cake and filter coffee and stayed for a chat. Absolutely amazing customer service and saved us that day! Thank you!

Any time this place is open, do take the chance to pop in for a drink, snack or meal....a very friendly place with a good choice (including vegetarian) on the menu; the family team are happy to speedily prepare and serve just what you order in a quirky, well presented small cafe. Excellent value, quality food!

What a lovely quirky cafe. The owners were super friendly and welcoming. We had hot chocolate and scones with jam and cream and both the drink and scones were delicious. Best hot chocolate drink we have tasted and in a nice large cup too. There was lots of cakes to choose from and they all looked delicious. We will definitely return for lunch as the menu was very appetising.
