Came here on my own for lunch one day, had a really tasty salad and there is loads of options for veggies and vegans. All very healthy and a lovely cafe. Staff were all very nice and polite.

Four of us had breakfast here and it was really good and the lady who served us was excellent and went out of her way to give the 10 year old who with us what she wanted by adapting the menu for her. She obviously enjoyed her job and we can highly recommend the food. Definitely worth a visit even if you are not a health food fanatic

As a long time resident of Brentwood I’d been meaning to visit the Health Garden for a while which seemed a long awaited arrival for Brentwood as an independent and healthy option in the midst of the chain, unhealthy options that crowd the high st. The decor is quirky and despite a bit of bling and velvet wing chairs (a nod I suppose to the potential TOWIE tourists) it still retains a fresh clean and great individual touches referencing nature in a surreal way (water fountain in the centre and fake vines lining the windows and ceiling). The menu looked really exciting and had a wide variety of healthy food from breakfasts, wraps, salads, filled sweet potatoes and winter warmers (like sweet potato cottage pie etc..). Everything is cooked on order and all the ingredients are certainly those that would leap out from a “clean eating” cookbook but not boring!! I ordered the tahini chicken and halloumi sweet potato wrap which said it came with cashew sour cream, dehydrated tomatoes, peppers and side salad. Sounded very flavoursome but got to confess it tasted just like a soy chicken and veg wrap and my bug bear about wraps is when they don’t equally distribute the ingredients. The halloumi was in one chunk in each half. I really couldn’t taste at all any cashew sour cream. It was still tasty and nice environment, I guess just after the elaborate descriptor of the wrap on the menu I’d expected something a bit more “special”. I spotted someone eating one of the filled sweet potatoes and they looked great and will be back to give them another go plus the prices are really reasonable (same for eat in as takeaway) and would like to try one of their winter warmers, plus as I said healthy food in Brentwood is few and far between!

Good range of food on the menu. Had the beetroot and goats cheese salad, it was very good and plentiful. Waitress helpful. Yes the food doesn’t appear quickly but then as it is made to order and not sitting waiting to be plated up that was acceptable. We were offered tap water with ice and lemon if wanted upon sitting at the table a nice touch.

Following a quick trip to Brentwood, we popped in here for a healthy snack and a drink. The place was about half full with several uncleared tables. There appeared to be only one member of staff on duty and she welcomed us in. We liked the look of the menu and chose a couple of items and drinks. Then, we waited and we waited. Two people came in, sat down, waited and left. Swiftly followed by another three. Ladies, who also left after a wait. We waited for over 20 minutes, only to have a couple who came in 10 mins after us get orders taken before us. Two more staff appeared who carried on ignoring us. We had 30 mins left on our car, and when we were eventually attended to, we asked if food would be ready in time? Chef told the waitress it would. We had doubts, so just ordered two drinks. My £5 smoothie came 5 mins later accompanied by a rather strange looking and very cinnamon heavy “hot chocolate”. This basically tasted like cinnamon flavoured water with a bit of coconut flour. It was really unpleasant, and we are used to Vegan and Veggie versions too. We left the cafe, after being there for 45 mins, and after paying £9.50 for two drinks, one undrinkable and left on table. We questioned being overcharged, as the pretty chalkboard ad for the hot drink stated £3.50, not £4.50! We were, quite grudgingly, given £1 back, with no apology! As we left, we noted that the couple who gazumped us in the ordering process, still had not received food - over 30 mins since ordering. The reason became clear ..................as a Deliveroo man came in! If this cafe are unable to serve sitting customers, who have been waiting a long time, with civility and good customer service, perhaps they should reconsider whether or not to accept Deliveroo. This is not a cheap food option ...... oh, I forgot, we never got a chance to have any!!!

I ate the best pancakes ever. My girlfriend had the Pesto chicken main, that was delicious. Also, the Italian chef was very friendly and helpful to choose our lunch. I firmly recommend this place.

I visited here last week for a quiet lunch. The cafe looked nice and clean. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. I ordered the chicken and halloumi wrap which I must say was very tasty! It was a good size portion and good for price. I will be returning and definitely recommending too, it’s a lovely little find! :)

I visited the health garden with a friend for some lunch. we ordered poached eggs and avocado on toast and protein pancakes with bananas and a berry compote. When the food arrived the pancakes were an eyesore overpiled with berries with smears on edges of the place, it looked a mess! We gave them a try regardless as some things do taste better than they look however they were luke warm, rubbery and bland with a soggy bottom layer. The Avocado on toast was pretty basic using basic warboutons pre sliced bread and charging £1.50 to add one poached egg! It’s safe to say I would never go back here.

I attended for lunch after waiting 15 minutes to even been seen baring in mind the restaurant was empty. I approached the counter to place my order and the waitress was incredibly rude and dirty. Her nails were filthy. My offer was taken and then 15 minutes later the waitress came over and asked for my order. Eventually we got our order of poached eggs and avocado on toast and protein pancakes. The toast was basic pre sliced bread which was a disappointment. The pancakes were so bad we couldn’t eat them. The berries were messy and over spilled. The pancakes were bland and rubbery. What a shame as this place looked like it was a nice find. I certainly won’t be returning and do not recommend.

Met a friend for lunch, she needs to have gluten/lactose free food. Plus the menu looked amazing. Caters for Vegetarian & None Vegetarian. Staff were very friendly, cafe is clean, bright & colourful. We sat outside under an umbrella in the shade. Was very pleasant. I had Salmon with Spinach & sweet potatoes chips with lemon & mayonnaise. I can honestly say this was the best Salmon I've ever tasted in s restaurant, all the rest went very well with it. My friend fancied some pancakes which she would have enjoyed more if she'd been hungry. I highly recommend this little gem just off Brentwood High street.

I really enjoyed my experience at healthy garden, the food is all fresh and nice quality. It's a little on the slow side at times and lacking atmosphere. Nice spot though if you want to avoid hustle and bustle of the busy high street.

The owner here is lovely and the food matches it. Its clear that they all care about the quality of the food that they sell and their number one priority is to make sure everyone is happy. Definitely will be coming back here for the next cheeky Indian!!!
