Came up from norwich to see my daughter, we popped in on the off change and it was amazing, food,atmosphere, staff, and a beautiful pub would definitely come again 😀

Great staff, great beer. But for the love of god please sort that front door out! It bangs so loud every time it closes! It’s so annoying!

Atmosphere was incredible, food was so tasty and very affordable prices, absolutely lovely staff members (Minnie was especially a highlight to my evening) overall a great place to sip a pint with your friends or family

Saturday afternoon, good beer but a bit pricey. Wide selection of draught. With city on the telly, it (as one of the few in the area that doesn't show football) and people doing the Didsbury dozen, it was very busy. Manager efficiently dealt with some troublemakers.

A great pub for a quick pint or a cheeky cocktail! Excellent service from wine-knowledgeable Sonny who really made our evening excellent last week!

Atmospheric and pleasant as always. The staff and music always provide the desired feeling of drifting away into a comfortable, fantastical, and blissful mood. Always a great place for a drink or two by yourself or with company.

Minnie was absolutely fantastic and really added to the quality of out evening. Drinks were really good with great selection of ales and food matched.

Great selection and deals on world beers, was surprised to see some of the options on the board but glad to see them in a place local to me.

Went for the pub quiz. It's all done through an app and it worked ok, except it's not really a quiz. Great selection of beers. The place is cosy but also sort of modern but doesn't feel overcrowded. Comfortable chairs. Seems to attract a young crowd. Really friendly and efficient bar staff. Dog friendly. Pool table. Board games.

Had a great night at the Head of Steam, wide selection of beers 👍🍺 Quiz night was on which was a lot of fun! The Italian style small plates were very tasty!! Highly recommended

Stan and Eyo are amazing and make this the nicest place to go to in Didsbury. They’re so warm and friendly and make us feel welcome with our kids. They’re the sole reason a lot of us have made it our local!

Had a baby shower here and it was so amazing, the food was absolutely fantastic and tasty, very filling. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. A absolutely wonderful and great place to come, family and dog friendly. Definitely come again.

We went to the Wednesday pub quiz & had a brilliant time! The staff were simply fantastic. The bar staff served us promptly & let us know about deals, including 2-for-1 beers. They even gave us a receipt so we could go back to get our 2nd beer when we wanted it. Special shout out to Yasmin & her manager who were so attentive & went above and beyond to make sure we had somewhere to sit after we forgot to book a table. She really helped make our night. Pub quiz was so much fun!!

Recomendado por unos vecinos pasamos a comernos una hamburguesa, y estaba rica, aros de cebolla y patatas fritas. Como si me la hubiera echo en casa. Calidad de la carne muy buena, el pan de la Burguer podrían mejorarlo, pero me gusto el ambiente. El servicio algo desmotivado, al tener poca clientela a esa hora, muy temprano. Volveré a por otra hamburguesa, eso seguro.

Shouldn't be as good as it is,but the staff are lovely, particularly Ayo who always remembers people names, Stan the other fella who's been there a while is fun, and the new staff are always good, great range of drinks, and the sharing platers are good value.

Have been coming here quite a lot recently, especially on Friday nights for the live music, can get a bit loud between 8-10 when the students are in but luckily the all seem to leave at the same time so it doesn't effect the experience too much. Fantastic selection of beers, on tap and in cans
