The Haven Inn in North Lincolnshire

Stayed for 2 nights after coming back to pick up a family member. Hosts were fab and staff was friendly the food was superb .the steak pie best ever . Just a wonderful stay . One thing when we come again make sure there is enough southern comfort

Food ok.but chips like cardboard. Dessert good. But after spending nearly £200,l was told l couldn't use the WiFi ..."its only for overnight guests."OUTRAGEOUS! Take note Haven Inn,from virtually every other pub,that this is a draconian,and unacceptable policy.

Tuesday 30th July:- It was my husband’s birthday treat. We really cannot think of a single critical comment. We had an outstanding delicious, fresh, home-cooked meal - two different starters and two different mains. I even raved about the REAL peas. Puds were gorgeous too and the portion sizes were just right. We received excellent service in the bar while our dog dozed under the table. We have visited in the past, usually sitting outside because of the dog, but she was welcomed. We will be coming again and again. Thank you all very much.

Visited for lunch today. I had fish & chips and my partner had steak pie and chips - all home cooked with proper chips! Although the portions were generous, we couldn’t resist ordering the rolo cheesecake to share - OMG, to die for!! We both agreed that this homemade cheesecake was the best we’d ever had! Compliments to the chef and the staff who all served us with a smile! Will definitely return and can highly recommend.

We recently stayed here overnight and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hosts, Joe and Lindy were very friendly and welcoming, as were all the staff we met. We had the Sunday roast which was delicious and arranged for us despite being later than we had anticipated. Our room was tastefully decorated and very comfy. Breakfast was equally delicous and served in the lovely dining area. It is obvious that the owners are working really hard to make this a fantastic place to stay and eat and their genuine love for the Inn shines through in all they do. We really hope to stay again in the future.

Lovely food at a good price. Just nipped in on the off chance whilst out and about and very happy that we did. Well worth stopping by for a bite if you get the chance!

An absolutely fantastic place to eat! From arriving to leaving nothing was to much trouble. Welcoming staff, helpful but not too pushy. Great atmosphere, comfortable, modern decor and seating. Extensive menu with excellent specials! Attention to detail, even a little box of chocolates each, on the table in recognition of our special event. Food was delicious, served hot and well presented. Service was excellent, timely and efficient. A definite place to return!

What a gem! We've just got back from enjoying a delicious meal in beautiful surroundings. The food was stupendous! We both had fish and chips which was more like a whale on a plate. The fish was lovely with crisp and tasty batter, the flesh, moist and skinless (haddock), the chips very good, home made mushy peas, and tartar sauce to die for. Everything arrived quickly and was piping hot, obviously straight out of the pan. The service was excellent too. We will certainly be back - It is worth a journey to have such an excellent experience - and such good value for money.

Had some lovely family time at The Haven Inn last night (Saturday evening). We walked the doggos with the kids along the Humber bank from Barton for tea and grabbed the train home at 9:50pm. Food was delicious! Dog friendly in the bar area.🥾🥾🍔🍻🐾🚂

Our group was booked in for 3pm, but on arrival, we were told that the previous group had just left and that our table was being prepared. 40 minutes later, we inquired and were told that our table was ready, I'm glad we asked ! we sat down but we were unsure of how to order so we tried to get the attention of the young waitress stood at the carvery on her mobile texting happily; no joy so we had to physically go and interrupt her social life to find out... we all had carvery which was nice ( special mention to Tracey at the carvery who was very nice and welcoming) overall, a lot of young staff, pleasant, but not really coordinated. It was ok... but I wouldn't go out off my way to eat there

We attended the Faulty Towers experience..... it was fab! So funny! And with a three course meal 👍 If you see an event at The Haven Inn... do not hesitate! You will not be disappointed!!

Went on Valentine's day for the Valentine menu. The table was set up was very pretty with little added touches & gifts. All food was beautifully cooked & lovely flavours. Staff are professional & friendly. Brilliant night. It's a lovely cosy pub to go to for food & drinks.

Just had the most amazing valentines meal at the Haven Inn. Three really wonderful courses and a good bottle of Sancerre made for a perfect Valentine’s Day meal. We were in Barton in my Wife's car to collect my car from MOT, but we went to take the dog for a walk by the Humber. My Wife tripped and fell on some grass and was quite badly shaken and said she wouldn't be able to drive back, so we arranged to leave my car for longer. As it was around 4pm at the time and the drive back through Hull would have been horrendous at that time on a Friday, we decided to go somewhere for a coffee and I remembered that we had visited the Haven Inn previously and it was dog friendly. I explained the situation to the staff and we were sat in a nice quiet corner table and they brought two coffees over. My Wife began to recover from the experience and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The restaurant kitchen opened at 5pm and we ordered two soups. They arrived with a nice fresh bread roll and butter, the soup was Lentil and Sweet Potato and was absolutely delicious. We rounded off our stay with two more coffees. By now my Wife was pretty much recovered from the experience and the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff contributed greatly to this. I would like to thank them and add that I recommend this delightful and friendly Inn most highly 😊

We was here for a friends wedding and it was fantastic, the staff are so friendly and warm welcoming the beds and rooms are so comfortable we had a wonderful stay and will defo be coming again . Highly recommend staying here .

Beautiful cosy pub. We had the Christmas menu. All the food was beautiful, cooked perfectly & tasty flavours. Staff were attentive, friendly & professional.

This is the place to come for a most delicious Sunday carvery! We were treated to this by our son after my husband had just completed a gruelling 10k cross country run at Ravenscar in the heaviest rain imaginable and he needed feeding some good wholesome food! On our return home from Ravenscar, we decided to head over the Humber Bridge to Barrow to revisit The Haven as we hadn’t been for several years and it didn’t disappoint. The lovely proprietor, Lindi speedily accommodated us, seating us in a cosy position in the bar. We didn’t waste much time before heading to the carvery as Hubby was ravenous by now but although there were four sizes of plates, the pensioners size was more than adequate for us two (our son ordered the larger plate)! None of us had room for dessert, which was a shame so perhaps next time! All in all, a great experience and we’ll definitely be going again. Statyed 2 nights at the haven Inn. Nothing was to much trouble for the friendly staff ,the food was very good here.. breakfast excellent. I would definitely recommend.

Havnt been for a while and todays Sunday lunch was lovely, brought a friend who’s not been before, we shall come again. Home cooked food by a roaring fire in the bar, attentive pleasant staff who-let us have the table by the fire on a very cold day, couldn’t have been better.

Well, we are obsessed! If you have never tried the Afternoon Tea at The Haven Inn, you are missing out! Everything is homemade, perfectly presented, and all credit to Jacquie, who makes you feel like royalty ! We love, love, love coming here..... Well done The Haven... 👏

Excellent Sunday lunch carvery served in the function room. You can also eat in the restaurant or lounge bar. The food was fresh with plenty to choose from. Altogether a great place for lunch and credit must be given to all the staff who were so pleasant and welcoming.
