The Hase in East Riding of Yorkshire

We were looking for some were different to have Sunday lunch. We certainly made the right choice. The staff were friendly and the surroundings were very welcoming. We ordered at the vegetable soup for starters, when it arrived it looked perfect and appetizing served with a bread roll and butter. On tasting the soup was nice and hot and completely full filling a perfect starter. The main course we ordered was a traditional roast with beef our choice of meat. Our main course arrived and looked delicious the presentation of the food on the plate looked perfect. Once again the food was hot and really satisfying in fact wonderful. We were eager to try a starter even though we were edging towards very full, never mind let's ' Push the Boat Out'. We ordered treacle sponge and custard. It arrived steaming hot with a generous jug of custard also very hot. On indulging on our desert it was lovely and we did not want it to end. All I can say is we believe we made the perfect choice, and would like to thank the staff at The Hase for making our Easter Sunday very enjoyable. It won't be long before we will be visiting again.

Went here for Sunday lunch as we were at a music event in the church opposite. Can’t fault it, great food and the staff were so welcoming, would definitely go again if we were in the area. Good value for money also

I had the steak dinner and I can honestly say was the best thing ever. It was lovely. You can even ring and pre book for it on your Sunday lunch so you don't miss out on the opportunity. My daughter loved it too as well as my husband. Can't wait for the next steakpie. Service is brilliant and so is the landlord and land lady.

Friendly and helpful staff, nothing to much trouble, and the food was absolutely delicious ! Oh and spotlessly clean including the ladies loos ! That says everything to me about how clean this establishment is, and choosing where to dine ! Really impressed and will definitely visit again soon.

Booked the hase on 18th June, a Saturday afternoon to celebrate my dad's 90th birthday with a buffet for about 40 people. Staff were extremely helpful and the food provided was of a very high standard. Although nearly 100 turned up for the celebration, the staff made every effort to provide additional food for the numbers. Helped us set up a display of photos of my dad for the day, and seemed like nothing was too much trouble for the parry and our family. All the feedback were of how well the organisation was, how good the food was and how well the staff coped with the party. It was a fabulous day for my dad and the extended family and friends who came. I cant thank the staff enough for the day and sorry its a bit late being posted. We could not have asked for more. Thank you to the owners and staff from all the family.

We have just left The Hase and can't believe how lucky we were to find it. What a great pub. Relaxed, chilled atmosphere. Beer garden where we were allowed to sit with the dog. I had lasagne and my partner had a burger, we both agree it's the best pub food we have ever had and so reasonably priced. We are gutted we live so far away from the pub or it would, without a doubt, be somehwere we would eat once a week.

This pub is very friendly and has a great atmosphere. The hosts are exceptional providing food for customers late at night. The meals were nicely presented and tasty, portion sizes were large. The fish and chips was great, especially the mushy peas!

My wife and I have been using this pub for the last four years now, the ale and the food are first class, the landlord and landlady, Pete and Mary, also the bar staff make you feel very welcome, anyone who says different (Clover226) must have a grudge against them. This is the only pub in Hessle that we use as you are guaranteed to have a good time there in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, menu is good home cooked food which they will cook to your requirements.

Absolutely love this place. Very understated but definitely worth a visit. The menu choice is good and the homecooked food is delicious and represents great value for money. Definitely be going back and would recommend this place to all.

We recently hired part of the Hase for our daughters 30th Birthday party. We were allowed to put up our own banners, balloons and even a view props. Mary the landlady is a lovely and helpful lady, who gave us plenty of guidance in choosing the food and the amount required, all at very reasonable prices. Mary also booked a DJ for the evening as the Hase has it's own dance floor. Her staff couldn't do enough for us and were very helpful through the entire evening. This is the second time we have booked the Hase and it won't be the last.

Polite friendly staff with a decent selection of beer and lager. Staff polite and food although limited at the moment due to COVID is good

Arrived in Hessle and The Hase was the first pub we went in and by far the best! The prices were within our budget, the staff friendly and knowledgable! the premises spotless with Covid rules tight but unobtrusive! Although we didn’t eat we heard it was good, especially fish Friday!

We booked for Sunday lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were very welcoming and efficient and the Sunday lunches were superb. Very helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend a visit.

Hi we have just had the most lovely Sunday lunch and a warm welcome from the landlord. The portions were plentiful and even the small was ample with plenty of fresh veg and a giant Yorkshire pud. I also had a desert sticky toffee pud served with lashings of custard. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back!
