Dropped by tonight for a drink with the dog, and got a lovely log fire, nice wine/beer and the staff/locals were lovely. Dog even got a treat, Will definitely return.

Great food and good service, and dog friendly. Great ale.. Only does food on Sunday.

Group of 18 people so the staff were run off their feet. Very pleasant but a bit slow so had to drop 1 star

Sunday dinner is beautiful the service excellent and friendly staff.

Popped in for a pint ended up staying for Sunday roast. The beef was excellent as was the dark gravy. Washed down with 3 pints of Timothy Taylor and a glass of their Pinot Noir!! Both a good choice... then a nice walk back to Baston!!

The Hare & Hounds have a wide menu to suit mist tastes, it is delicious and caters for special needs like Gluten Free options when requested. The bar is very welcoming & friendly with cleanliness and a great atmosphere a top priority. Staff are quick to address an order, the food is delivered piping hot and within a good time frame - they are never slow. I like the themed events which are very inclusive, the Halloween spectacular was great ! Christmas is a great time - decorated in a tasteful way. Thank you

Having just returned from a holiday in Cornwall I called to see if I could get in for a roast on Sunday 24th September. He managed to squeeze me in a couple of hours later. Once we got there the Barmaid clearly wasn't expecting us but was quick to set us up a table so wasn't a problem. This is about the 4th or 5th time we have visited for a roast and both had the roast lamb this time. It was gorgeous, so tasty, piping hot and plentiful. I asked for extra gravy and the cauliflower cheese. The gravy is so very tasty and the cauli cheese was to die for. We will definitely be going again! I only wish I'd taken a photo.

Called in for a quick sandwich and a pint, there were 4 of us....arrived at 12 to be told the chef would be in any minute ( raised my eyebrows because most chefs are in early to start service for 12 ) our order was eventually taken at 12.30 when the chef could confirm what fillings were available for the day.......3 baguettes ordered and a bowl of chips,.....a bit disappointed in the further 40 minute wait to finally get the food but was again disappointed to be charged £4.75 for a bowl of chips and £7.75 for the baguettes with about 10 chips, a few spinach leaves and 3 slices of meat.......our local charges £3.80 for a very large portion of chips,cheese and bacon!

I hadn’t been to this pub for possibly 7 years, the last time the meal was delicious. So I’d thought I better try it again as I drove past the other day. I was not disappointed….there was a choice of four meats. The only thing I couldn’t get my head around was that there wasn’t a menu. I chose the pork and it was lovely. Everything on the plate was cooked to how I would do it myself. The veg came out in a separate bowl, this was over cooked but didn’t ruin my experience and I will be going back soon at some point.

Proper country pub, good beers, decent hearty food, friendly staff and log fires. The bathrooms have been recently refurbished and are really nice, clean and modern. If it was the only pub for miles around (which for us, it is), I'd be perfectly happy. So glad to see it open and thriving post-pandemic.

Amazing find! Everyone was very friendly and the Sunday roast was delicious and served with a big bowl of beautifully cooked veg. Possibly the best pub roast I've ever had! Highly recommended!

The Hare and Hounds is a little gem. We stopped in for a drink while on a circular walk from Braceborough to Greatford. The landlord is friendly and he serves good beer. There's a log fire to make it cosy on a winter's day.

We were very disappointed, this place had been recommend as an ideal destination for walkers to have a drink. We were a party of around 30, had pre booked our arrival. There was just one person behind the bar a number of us wanted to order tea's, coffees and soft drinks, not only was the order slow to be delivered it was exceeding expensive, cup of tea £2.75 (small cup served in a latte glass) soda and lime £3. Unfortunately a number of the party said it was a stop never to be repeated, such a shame.

Food is ok. The place in general could use a good clean. Everything is dirty. The bar, the floors (rubbish on floors and years of grime) the seats, the tables, the toilets (smells like urine and large dark brown rings around everything). Ask for a tap water and take a look at the sink it comes out of, absolutely disgusting! I will not be going back. Wish I would have taken pics of the horror.

First time in here for years. what a great little pub, nice selection of quality beers, the food was amazingly tasty and at a great price. Will try the Sunday roast soon too. Extremely friendly and helpful staff too. Would definitely recommend ☆☆☆☆☆

What a wonderful meal, staff were very helpful and obliging and the food was excellent. We were a group of 11 and there was not a complaint in sight. All our food was cooked to perfection.

Lovely quirky little pub in the village of greatford, we took our dad there for father's day, friendly faces behind the bar, and little nibbles for you on the bar which i thought was a lovely touch as you dont see this anymore in pubs.(pork pie,cheese, and olives) we had the sunday lunch and it was absolutely lovely all was cooked beautifully and plenty of it. We shall definitely be going again soon.

This is a great little pub, very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately it's let down by an overpowering smell from the drains every time the door is opened. They have tried to hide this using candles on every table but this is just as overpowering in a different way.

We had a Sunday roast for 14, great quality and quantity. Very friendly and helpful staff catered for diary and gluten free diets. Highly recommend!

Couldn't get served at the bar. Waited 20mins but would rather serve their locals than guests. Shame as we have had some good meals there.

Really welcoming to our large party (including the sleeping kids in buggies). Service quick. Unpretentious roast. Great gravy I thought, others said too marmite-y ie intense and flavoursome. They don't know good gravy. Yum x

The BEST roast ive EVER had. Big portions all fresh. Had some crap ones all over Lincs lately but this pub is a MUST to try. Well done to the chef..
