Really friendly staff, felt properly welcome, in spite of being a trendy boozer the people behind the bar were proper humans. More of this please! Food was great too, I had some sort of vegan salad plate and want to go back for it again. Great pub

Y como este es mi local, puedo dar una crítica bastante completa de mucha experiencia. Este es un pequeño y práctico lugar para tener tan cerca de mi casa y hacen un buen, pero limitado rango de cervezas de barril. Es costoso, pero no más que un boozer hipster promedio. Es agradable y acogedor en invierno y es genial tener los asientos al aire libre, si no un poco pesado en los pulmones con todo el tráfico. La comida es cara y está bien, pero no genial. La cena del domingo está bien y, a la par con otros asados del domingo en Hackney, la salsa siempre ha sido demasiado salada. Es bueno que hagan un asado vegano, pero no es inusual para la zona.

Absolutamente amado no puedo esperar para el próximo domingo. He estado en Londres desde el 18 de febrero y he encontrado un montón de lugares para comer para un asado, pero esto está muy por encima de todos. La comida, el servicio y el ambiente aquí fueron maravillosos, absolutamente de primera clase, no buscaré otro lugar para mi domingo asado.

Do NOT be fooled into watching the World Cup here. Despite it being on terestial TV, the scammers stream it! Thus, every five minutes the screen freezes, yes, freezes midway through the game! Don’t advertise the game if you’re gonna play slow time stop gap animation. Find somewhere else! We did. Thank god.

Went for a roast on a Sunday afternoon. Great atmosphere and absolutely delicious food (including huge portions). Sadly didn't have dessert as was too full but will definitely be returning!

Popped in for a quick G&T with a friend. Not been here before. What a gem of a pub. A barman who has time to discuss my favourite tipple and suggest some Gins I have never heard of. I'll definitely visit again.

Huge portions and delicious roast - I had the veggie nut roast and my husband had the chicken. Even though I ordered the 'child's portion' and it was still huge! Gorgeous homemade apple crumble too! It's a real cosy winter pub with super friendly staff too :)

Very nice bar half-way down Amhurst Road near Hackney Downs. Nice range of ales and lagers available. The décor is dark but inviting and the staff are nice.

It's my local, I live two doors down, I'm blessed to have such a nice pub neighbour. The bar staff are lovely. They could do with a bigger selection of beer, don't eat here.

The hand of Glory now offer a vegan Sunday roast that is all made in house. It's identical to the vegetarian option but with vegan ingredients and doesn't need preordering. The Yorkshire puddings don't resemble those made with dairy but are soy milk based and you get two. Cauliflower cheese is a soy and olive oil based sauce with vegan friendly mustard and nutmeg. The chef has done his utmost to cater for all dietary requirements and kindly explains the ingredients and cooking processes. Best of all the vegan roast is the same price as a standard vegetarian roast. It's best to book as they sell out early. Wheat or any other allergies can be catered for if preordered. Desserts were amazing and included a chocolate cremeux in a vintage teacup with orange jelly and shortbread that looked like sugar lumps. A great Sunday lunch that leaves you full and satisfied and is clearly made with thought and passion.

Great food and great atmosphere. The food is delicious and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Great for a quick pint with friends after work but also for a slap up dinner if that's what you're after.

We rented a flat in Hackney while vacationing in London recently. This bar was just across the street. Very small but so charming---if it were here in my hometown, I'd visit it weekly! We had hamburgers there twice and both times they were delicious. They had a great selection of beers on tap, and the servers were very welcoming to us even though we were not their typical clientele being Americans on holiday with our two teenagers. There is a dog friendly patio. Their website says something about being "wiccan" but I saw nothing like that in their pub. I highly recommend this place!

This pub is at the end of my road, which is handy as it's a little gem. They always have great beer and cider on tap and it has a nice atmosphere. The Sunday roast is really, really good. Once we came on a bank holiday when they weren't serving food, but they still managed to rustle us up a delicious roast beef sandwich and beef salad as we were hungry.

Had a Sunday Roast at this pub yesterday. Simple menu of Sunday Roast (including Nut Loaf for veggies) , and 3 excellent puddings. Fantastic food, good value, attentive staff, great beer and really interesting décor. Will definitely go there again very soon.

And uniquely pagan themed!Great beers with nice people. Very comfortable and dark. Nice and cozy. I recommend. If you're on Shackelwell lane in east London, there are a few places to go, and this is one of them.

This is a lovely looking pub. The burger, at £9, was fantastic.I'd love this pub to be my local- but at £4.50 for a pint of 5 point ale- no chance... Shame cos it really is a lovely pub

Staff is really friendly and knowledgeable, food is ok and it is always lovely ambiance. Wine is bad though, really bad.

We have been to Hand of Glory many times and always had a great time, it's cosy and has a great atmosphere. This week we tried their Sunday roast for the first time. New favourite roast! So good, amazing portions, everything was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. We'll be back very soon!

So went last week and had to go back again this week to have the burger again...One of the best I have ever had.. The wild bore beacon and the curly fries were out of this world. Going back for the roast next week.

Nice decor and a cosy feel and wasn't too busy on a Friday night but the visit was ruined by the loud volume of the bad alt-rock music. The wine was overpriced and not very nice.

Este pequeno pub fora do circuito turístico tem cervejas artesanais da região tanto na torneira quanto em garrafas. Um achado.

Absolutely amazing food. A small but interesting menu. We shared a couple of the starters between the table. They were generous portions. The beetroot smoked salmon melted in the mouth, delicious. Then we all had the roast on offer. It was 60 day hung beef, and was outstanding. The beef was perfectly cooked and top quality, as were the trimmings. The pub itself had a great atmosphere with friendly staff. Highly recommend this pub, for top quality food in a great setting.
