Un'idea davvero originale. Ambiente molto accogliente, quasi familiare, e altamente rilassante.

In Ziferblat everything is free except the time you spend there. Customers pay £3 each hour for an almost unlimited supply of coffee and cakes and can relax in a homely setting on chairs and sofas. The emphasis here is on spending quality time in a social space, with Wi-Fi available for those who want it. A lot of people, especially young people, enjoyed staying there.

What a great idea. I spent ages searching the Internet for a cafe in London where we could do afternoon tea, bring some crafty activities along to do, sit for a few hours without any pressure to leave and enjoy a friendly environment. Ziferblat offers just that.It was for my friend's 30th so I bought a cake stand and cakes and sandwiches with me and some craft stuff to do; we helped ourselves to a teapot and tea cups and saucers from their kitchen and had copious amounts of tea. We played their board games, looked at their books, they have a piano and guitars you can play too. 3 hours and £9 each. - not bad!I definitely recommend Ziferblat as a comfy, relaxed chill out place. Unlimited drinks, biscuits, snacks, spreads, milk...

This is hailed as a social experiment and it's quite a cool one at that. You pay 50p-per-minute for your stay (£3/hour) and you get to use their spaces/stuff and help yourself to food and drink. This place attracts a lot of European students who are always quite friendly, but if you want quiet time, go early and you'll have lots of space to yourself. It doubles out as a really great place to revise/study/work in Shoreditch. This is also a great place to take friends or family visiting from outside London since it gives off the perceived Shoreditch vibe very well. If you're treating your friends to a day out, it doubles out as an activity + cafe.

You ring the bell, you get greeted with by a friendly voice. The location of the cafe is amazing, overlooking Shoreditch. At reception they note down the hour you arrive and you pay 3 pounds per hour, you can eat and drink as much as you want during that hour. They show you around and explain the system. You feel comfortable from the moment you step inside this place. They have good quality biscuits, cakes, musli & granola types, toast bread, jams, spreads, fruits, tea selection and coffee in the kitchen. So, totally worth the 3 pounds. There are many tables and comfortable seating. Ideal for working, reading, playing board games with your friends, spend time on your own - so the space is basically good for everything! It is not stiff or trying to be hip. The guests come from different countries, many of them young, everybody's nice and easygoing.I truly enjoyed my 2 hours stay in the cafe and looking forward to my next visit.

Ok so I heard about this place on Trip Advisor so I thought I would give it a go as I begrudge lining the pockets of multi million pound companies like Starbucks. What a pleasant surprise this place was! From the moment I walked in to the moment I left I was treated like an old friend and made to feel very welcome. It's almost like someone's flat you've been invited around to and told to make yourself at home in. After noting down the time I arrived, I was shown around and told everything was available for me to use (board games, guitar, even a typewriter!). I was shown to the kitchen which seemed to cater for most people's tastes. Tea, coffee, biscuits, bread, spreads! You name it. There was even a fridge to put your lunch in! Everything was included in the price of your stay (which is charged by the minute!...5p I think!) The atmosphere is calm, peaceful and homely. No one is rushing you to leave or giving you evils because your cup is empty. According to Sasha who works there (I think she does anyway!), they host board game nights on a Saturday where people go to chat and meet knew people. Something I will definitely be doing I reckon. See you next time!

We stumbled across this cafe on the internet and thought it looked interesting and different; we didnt have too long so we spent just over 40 minutes in there and it cost us 2.25 each. A huge range of teas and coffees, as well as buscuits and cakes, all for free (apart from the charge on the time you spend there). A huge range of board games too, which kept us entertained. Will definitely be going back, a unique and interesting concept for a cafe ☺️

Visited today with 2 American friends to see what it was all about. It took a while to get our heads round paying for the time rather than what you consume but it was great fun! Great value at £3 each per hour. Huge variety of hot drinks you make yourself as well as doing your own washing up but you can read in the library, play a guitar, put on records and just chill out. It was really fun and our host (David I think) was attentive, knowledgeable and a really lovely guy. We had many discussions about Ziferblats opening elsewhere. I'd definitely go back!

The concept is intriguing, pay for the time your are there. It's an interesting psychology, you find you're constantly checking the clock to see how much time you've clocked. I think I prefer the standard cafe, where you pay for the item, and not worry about the time you are there. The decor is interesting, though seems to try a bit too hard. Right up hipster alley - mis matched chairs, old style books and second hand instruments. I imagine it appeals to others, but not me. I prefer an atmosphere you can feel comfortable in, that doesn't feel like it's trying to impress itself.

Time is money. In Ziferblat, you only pay for your time. A 10 minute walk down Old Street (keep going, you'll find it!), on the junction with Shoreditch High Street, you'll see a non-descript shopfront with a door to the flat upstairs. Get yourself buzzed in, take a clock and enjoy the relaxed homely feel of somebody's living room. You can work, you can chat, you can drink coffee. No menus or table service, you can avail yourself of whatever you find in the kitchen: tea (of many varieties), coffee, cereal, bring your own food and heat it up... There are board games, bookswaps, and even a piano. Can't be bothered to hoover? Host a book club or an informal meeting here instead of in your house. With free Wi-fi and comfy chairs, endless tea, and biscuits, you could end up staying for longer than you mean to. At 5p per minute, your clock ticks but you don't notice. The lovely David will help you with whatever you need.

The kitchen was cosy and organised, she was there with us showing around and gave us good indications about where the stuffs is stored..... There is a coffee machine that can be used from everyone... Good selections of The, many flavours... Cookies, jams, bread and some cake left there from others visitors... There was not to many people so we could have some peaceful rest... Really good concept of paying the hours instead of the food and beverage... When we left she gave us extra 20 minutes for next time... Nice one. Definitely I'll be back. Cheers ziferblat!

This place is amazing! Visited for the first time this afternoon with a couple friends. Great concept - you basically pay 5p per minute of time you spend there. The set up is like a giant living room / common room with comfy chairs & tables and a large selection of things to keep you busy, including guitars, pianos, board games, seeds to plant, books, etc. You're also welcome to use the kitchen at no extra charge, which includes a once more large supply of teas, coffees, soft drinks, biscuits, sandwiches etc and even an espresso machine. Completely different from anywhere else I've visited, my only complaint is just how quickly time flies whilst in there, before we knew it we'd stayed almost 3 hours and paid £8 for our visit. Can't wait to return and show more people the place!

I visited Ziferblat when it first opened last year. The concept was pretty cool with a relaxed atmosphere and decor for people to organise meet-ups/work solo in an artsy environment. I liked the idea of the pay per minute and also the concept of a self-service cafe. It definitely did make me a little nostalgic of my university days where students used to hang out in the common room after dinner.

Cuando entré me atendió una chica muy simpática y amable que me explico todo sobre Ziferblat. I read an article about Ziferblat on Huffington Post Italia. The article said that Ziferblat is a café in the heart of London where you can have coffee or tea and choose among a wide range of cakes, cookies and sandwiches and not pay for them: you pay for the time you spend in Ziferblat (3p per minute). It sounded new, exciting, smart. I went there with a couple of friends, and we expected to find a real café. Saying that we were disappointed is an understatement. Ziferblat is an office-like room full of desks and chairs, with a kitchenette where you can make yourself coffee or tea (and it's not even clean) and, if you're lucky, you may find food that other brought to share with the other clients. No cakes, no cookies, no sandwiches. Just an empty table. The author of the article was never there, I'm sure.

Ziferblat has a really friendly, welcoming atmosphere and takes a refreshing approach to the cafe setting. Instead of charging for tea and coffee, these are provided and free of charge; customers pay-per-minute that they're in the cafe, priced very reasonably at 3p per minute at the time of writing. In a spacious first floor room in a building near Shoreditch high street overground station, the managers of the cafe originally set up in Russia, and are now expanding to other cities. A really special and relaxed social environment, hopefully it will live on here in London.
