Overcrowded and was put on the smallest table for 2 in a walkway not impressed so walked out

MothersDay family meal. Everything properly cooked.Roast beef in particular excellent.Fantastic value and quality. Long queues and waiting as it's self service rather spoil the experience but would still go again.Was restricted to 1and a half hours meaning we had no time for dessert unfortunately,so we went without.Not a welcome idea and again,spoiled the experience.

I recently visited the Brewers Fayre in Hampton, Peterborough, for their Sunday roast, and here's my experience: Overall Impression: -the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. -the restaurant was clean and tidy. Overall I found the experience to be enjoyable. The Sunday roast: - I had turkey and beef roast, and it was cooked well and very tasty . -the roast potatoes were soft and well seasoned. The Yorkshire puddings were a good size. -the vegetables were fresh and well cooked. I found the portion size to be small compared to other Sunday roasts that I have eaten. Service: The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. We were served after a bit of a wait. Value for money: I felt the Sunday roast was a little overpriced. The drinks were very very expensive. Would I recommend? To be fair I do not recommend the Sunday roast at this Brewers Fayre. I will not return to this restaurant. Additional comments: I ordered Churros and they told me after I finished my meal that they were not available.... not good. When we ordered, to start our meal at 12 o'clock we were told that we could only be there till half past one....first time I am told this .... Don't think it is nice ... nearly made me loose my appetite. Overall I do not recommend the Brewers Fayre.

We had a lovely lunch with our grandchildren - food was a decent standard for the price - the friendly professional manager was out and visible which is always much appreciated.

Super team. Especially Donna and Michelle. Donna was so helpful and lovely. Michelle in the play area was so friendly, great with the children. Even played with them. Just super atmosphere. The rest of the team were fantastic too. Food was quick even with 11 of us ordering. Everybody was happy

Wow where do you start Table booked for 6pm meal ordered 6.10pm Starters out for 6.20pm happy days Main meal ????? What main meal 🤔 🤪 Waited until 7.40pm Best of it is, people came in ordered food and it was on there table within 30mins Complained and went back to my room Knock knock at my room door. Your meal is hear Opened it up and and it was the totally the wrong food No manager to comment 😕 ha ha Absolutely shocking Please avoid

Food was awful tasteless greasy burger,I say tasteless there was a taste but it wasn't a good taste,would never go again

Attended Saturday afternoon, 4pm. Food took over an hour to turn up. Seeing we only had one kids meal and a few side dishes, no mains the long wait was surprising. Thankfully there's softplay, otherwise entertaining two 2 and a half year olds would have been a nightmare. Food was cold on arrival but luckily tasted alright. Staff member Michelle in the softplay was very accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. Very chatty and good with the kids. She was rushed off her feet though, having only one staff in there at such a busy time at the weekend is mental.

Me and my husband spent a lovely evening chilling in the bar, with a bottle of wine and a couple of starters. I was served by Jess, who was amazing and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. She was super attentive and made us feel 'at home'. We will be back!

After an amazing visit previously, I brought the rest of my family. My niece loved the sound play area, such fun for kids. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Probably the worst eating place in Peterborough. Everything is very slow, no one greets you at the reception. The food was so-so, the portions were small, and the salad contained absolutely not fresh tomatoes.

Every time, breakfast is perfect

Arrived at 11.45 to be told not opening until 12.00, did not have choice as to where to sit, told as only 2 of us we had to sit on table for 2 whilst other 2 only people were able to sit anywhere, went to order meals only to be told they were not available, I feel this was very poor as it was only very early to order, feel very disappointed with everything, went elsewhere, this was my wife's birthday and ruined her day, will think before we return,will say never had this problem before but today's experience was awful

We stopped going as it wasn’t good … but now it’s changed lovely food and the manager is very good, goes above and beyond tonight went back and was lovely, definitely use it now well done!

Staying at the premier inn next door for a family funeral so checked in night before and came here for a late dinner. Food good service 10! Lovely Emma did the meet and greet and ran through how it all worked. Ordered food , burgers , fries and side orders…. Came in good time and nice and hot! Desserts were lovely too although ice cream was slightly debatable. Overall lovely evening made great incorporating all of the above. Thanks Emma!

Quite outdated in need of upgrading both the food hall and toilets. Atmosphere and food was good though. Refill hot drinks is a bonus and it comes at a good price.

Had buffet breakfast here, good value for money lots of choice of continental and cooked breakfast. Would highly recommend.

I didn't want too leave any stars tbh! Absolute shambles of a place! Arrived said we hadn't booked a table evan though we had then told us we had but it wasn't reserved! Went to the table there was 8 of us! 2 family's. We all ordered at the same time but right after each other. 1 family got there starters we didn't get ours till they had finished. Main come out just after each other didnt bring onion rings then brought them out they was freezing! chips were absolulty discusting!! Rest of the food wasn't very nice atall! Brought deserts out while our tables were full of plates from mains still and didn't take them away! We mentioned this to the waiter proper snotty women! She said oh il mention it to the kitchen.. no apology no manager came over to say anything to us! Unbelievable place AVOID AT ALL COST I won't ever be going back there again! Shambles no staff for anything

What a great team. Everyone goes the extra mile! Great service! Stayed in the Premier Inn. Ate here three nights running and was so impressed with the friendly and professional manner by all the staff. Highly recommend 👍🏻

It is a great place to go. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. The food is delicious. Wonderful. I have relatives from out of Peterborough who also enjoy meeting up with me there for a meal.

We went to the play area and had dinner there for my nephews birthday and Michelle was absolutely fantastic. She was so friendly and helpful. She really made our experience all the more better

Me and my mum went on Christmas Day the table was booked for 12.00oclock we were greated by the manager and was given a pouch of Cabruarys Chocolate Twirls and then taken to our table waitress service was spot on and the Christmas Dinner was amazing it was a carvery the food was cooked too perfection the parsnips were a bit hard but it all was good and the dessert was good too definitely go again this Christmas 😊👍😊

First Time we have had Xmas day meal there , and it was very enjoyable. Staff where brilliant, food turkey etc was lovely couldnt fault it apart than they ran out of Tia Maria!!! Visit made a nice change to Xmas day for us

Good soft play for the kids and fish and chips was good too. I was a bit disappointed with one of the staff and the manager. Basically I ordered 2 kids meals off the menu provided. I ordered a starter and main each and paid for 3 courses assuming I could come and order the desert once the kids had finished and decided what they wanted. However the staff tried to double charge me. Apparently I had to order the desert at the time of placing the initial order, which isn't stated any where on the menu provided or was explained at the time of order. They let me off "just this once" in the end! Other than that hiccup we had a nice family gathering, the staff extended our table to accommodate extra guests and the kids loved the soft play. It was a bit cold at first but spoke to the staff and they turned the heating on, which was nice.

We visited the restaurant on Saturday night as we stayed at the premier inn. We booked a table for 8 to meet family.On arrival we were told the menu was limited 4 people ordered starters of calamarie, which was totally inedible it had been deep fried to a dark brown crisp. 2 festive nacho's, which were diabolical. Mushrooms in breadcrumbs that had been deep fried until they were like bullets. We let the waitress know, she offered us alternative starters from the limited menu, which we declined. No refund was offered. As it was a family get together we all agreed NOT to let the food upset the evening. It was diabolical a horrendous meal. We have eaten before at the restaurant with no complaint. They must have new staff , that certaily have not been trained to the required standard. So VERY dissapointed.

First time we have had Christmas dinner out. The service was brilliant, everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely recommend and go back! Thank you to the whole team! Susan

We booked a table for Xmas Eve Dinner, as we do every year. We were so looking forward to having Turkey with all the trimmings and some Xmas pudding. As we walked in there was a sign on the door saying there was no festive menu. They couldn't find our booking either. We were really disappointed, but knew we would struggle to find somewhere else to eat at such short notice, so decided to stay. It was virtually empty. But honestly the worst part was the food. It was shocking. Greasy rubbery Calamari, the thinnest driest overcooked steak, grey chips and oily onion rings that hadn't even been separated and sticky toffee pudding, disguised as a shop bought syrup pudding. Honestly, we normally really enjoy the food here, but it was atrocious. I don't know what went wrong today, but it totally ruined our Xmas day out and still no explanation as to why no festive menu. We won't be returning in a hurry

Unfortunately we had a fairly poor experience. Food choices made weeks ago not available and no notice given and just poor quality food which is not even cooked fresh on site as we are told by the customer care emails, blaming supplier issues for rubbish food. No offer of compensation

Worst experience at a Brewers fayre to date. Very very limited menu, 5 items, only 1 gluten free option, food was poor quality. took 1 hour for 3 desserts to arrive, had to prompt the staff 3 times for our desserts, no apology and rude staff response, specifically from a woman I assumed to be the manager. Her response was ‘i’m not a miracle worker’ ‘it’s not my fault, it’s the kitchens’. My group of 5 have all worked in pubs and service industry previously and know that is not the correct way to deal with complaints. The desserts are pre sliced and just need to be put on a plate with a scoop of icecream, really not difficult, usually the pot wash or a server that makes them. Myself and my team were meant to be eating here all week, we have cancelled our meals and will not be eating here again. Meal deals will no longer be bought for our premier inn stays. Shocking service and food.

We arrived at 10.30 for our booking but the food was cleared away too soon. I didn't feel I had time for mine. The staff were friendly and helpful and they were getting ready for Sunday lunch. I suppose we should have booked earlier to have more choices.

Jessica, who welcomed us at the entrance with a bright smile, went on to be our shining star, she is now our 7 year old granddaughters idol. The service from the kitchen was very slow, however Jessica kept popping back to our table offering to give CPR to our Amber because she stated she was dying from hunger lol. We found her to be very pleasant, cheerful, helpful and a huge credit to your establishment, she deserves recognition and deserves to be staff member of the month with a pay rise. Thanks Jessica we will be back

Emma was very attentive to myself and other customers. Overhearing a conversation with her and customers next to made me chuckle. Staying here with colleagues for work for 5 days and the breakfast and lunch have good options.

Poor service waited 50+ minutes in a virtually empty pub. Food quality poor as well...never again

Absolutely disgusting food, undercooked called manager over. Terrible service. Wrong food. Understaffed. Raw onion rings. Feel sick still waiting for manager to sort it but holding my breath NO COMPENSATION AT ALL STAY AWAY

Quick, attentive and to the point service by Brett at the bar. Few menus on tables but quickly resolved by helpful floor staff. Good food for the price, however wouldn’t recommend the burger lol 😜 well done brewers fayre!

Been in a few times recently without too much fuss. However, this evening we were seated and after selecting our food we headed to the bar. A young man was serving while 3 other staff were chatting at the other end of the bar. The gent finished serving the customer in front of us. He then said "give me a minute". He then walked away and emptied the glass washer...walked pass us again had a chat with the girls at the end of the bar...walked past us again...took some forks out to a tub on the other side of the pub area then walked past us again to return to the girls to chat again. At this point we collected our belongings and left. Absolutely diabolical customer service... left waiting at the bar for over 5 mins with nobody else waiting!!! Avoid!!!

Michelle in the play area was absolutely amazing ,she helped us with our order and made sure everyone was happy with their food. She approached us with a smile and kindness.

Stayed at the premier inn next door and had breakfast here every morning, food was lovely and good value. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Had the saver fish and chips was awful thought it would be just a smaller piece of cod or haddock,but it was pollock tasted awful and was under cooked the only saver bit was using cheap fish wont go back there anytime soon.

Decent enough food, standard for a chain pub. Good facilities for the kids with a small soft play area that has tables with table service if you want to have a family meal while the kids are entertained - it's the main reason we come here. Service can be a bit slow at times.

Came for a drink and munch and the staff are great kerry and Kevin behind bar happy and no issues to help but all round staff willing to go out there way to help

We went for a cheeky pint after work, ended up ordering some food, which was superb, we arrived at shift change so there was an initial wait to be served but after that it was exemplary!

Disinterested Staff, very poor service. Absolutely no attempt to actually do their job properly. Stacked chairs around us whilst chatting and studiously ignoring us. We did not get everything we ordered and paid for.

Have been coming to soft play/messy play on Thursday mornings regularly for a while now. Michelle is fantastic, always approachable and creating an enjoyable environment for the small ones. Will forever keep returning just to see her 😊❤️

Amazing breakfast once again! Great staff, great food, great value! Chelsea and her team were as welcoming and helpful as always yesterday. We also visited Saturday 17th Aug when the restaurant was full but Chelsea and team were replenishing everything in minutes and our 3 children had a great experience with so much choice of delicious food. Thank you for making us welcome and for the great breakfast experiences! Particularly great value as children eat free!!! 😊

Food was okay price for play area is ridiculous as this used to do free the play area is tiny but the lady who served us was lovely only her name was michelle she has grey hair and warm smile and amazing with the kids went back the week after and the service was not good no conversation or checking that eveything was okay

Claimed my free birthday main with a friend. We then had desserts as both our birthdays were close to each other. Service was slow but gave us a chance to catch up. Food enjoyable

The main problem I had is that they ran out of meat for the carvery at 3:30pm when we arrived for the carvery - now carvery times are 12pm - 6pm -this shouldn't really be happening just over halfway through the carvery service. They need to consider people who would be arriving later I think.

Visited here on 18th August 2024 We arrived at 9:20pm for food When we ordered at the bar the staff was clueless said they are serving good so we ordered The manager, who was really rude and not polite told us we can't sit in the restaurant area without even asking us if we ordered food or not ( no communication wat so ever) We asked for one of the meals to not contain no onions or salad on the burger and it came with all salad and onions No allergy requirements where asked The manager was wearing her sunglasses on her head and swearing on the phone whilst on bar facing customers ( so unprofessional) When food arrived, there was hardly any katsu curry sauce on the meal for the price that your paying aswell Tables messy and unclean Staff are rude, no one was there to sit us down or greet us We are in premier in and this is rude customer service

Came in for breakfast last Monday and was seen to straight away by Sam. He was friendly and professional and made us feel very welcome. Also have to give credit to the chef Ryan who cooked everything to perfection! We will be back - thank you

Booked a table for ten for my daughters 4th birthday. Ordered oour food 17:50 to then get notified at 19:10 that they had for got about us. Ruined my daughters birthday shall never go back there.

Its a lovely spot for a family Saturday buffet. Its has an array of delicious English breakfast and is worth its price of admission.

I was staying in the Hotel next door. Breakfast was very tasty, I don't normally eat cooked breakfasts and was enjoyable. I had two evening meals which I also enjoyed. The Tai curry on my first night and on my last night I decided on the Gammon with egg and pineapple. Friendly and helpful staff.

Called in yesterday 9-7-2024 immediately met and showed to our table by a very polite and friendly Mitchell who couldn’t have been more helpful when ordering our food the food was very good hot and fresh dessert was delicious but the whole experience was great thanks to Mitchell will definitely be coming back

I had to wait ages for the drinks to arrive at the table and it wasn't busy as this was midweek. Food, well the fish pie was tasty but so much sauce! My burger with cheese on the top, without the bun looked like the cat had got there first. Certainly no cheese in the cheese and the burger is chewy. We didn't enjoy it but the cheesecake and ice cream was better. One of my gripes about the menu is there aren't any prices for the beers actually on the menu. You have to go to the bar and look hard to find the pricelist. The manager shrugged her shoulders and said it didn't have prices as they were changing while the menu was being compiled. How about putting another flyer out or even adding a sticker on the menu, and making sure it can be wiped, oh, and reminding the staff to wipe the menus as I hate having a menu that has sticky fingermarks from previous guests. Remember COVID? As we were staying at the Premier Inn, there wasn't any other place to walk to other than McD's so the second night we had the fish and chips. That was much better. The breakfast was nice too.

went for a family meal before I give birth in less then 6 weeks and the food was under cooked and uneatable the manger was like it's all set at one temperature for the food and pre made before hand I'm 34 weeks pregnant and my pie was cold the chicken was pink and you could taste it was undercooked

Wow .... What a terrible place. Table booked for 4 for a Birthday celebration. Told at the bar, No pints of peroni was being served except if you ordered a meal deal..To be honest we ourselves are in the Hospitality Business, so you can't order a pint of Peroni unless your eating,of which we were. However we could have brought a pint of Peroni x 2 bottles @ 4.95 per bottle...ouch that's extortionate. Dunno maybe we were discrimated as we are Travelling Showman ( funfair people) Who knows my

Went for breakfast, £10.99 per adult for full breakfast is a great deal, children eat for free if there is a paying adult.

Not the best premier inn breakfast. The food is ok, better than other breakfast in the area. But, not as good as the one at Premier Inn in the city.

Kevin is all ways every helpful and happy to help us if we book a table and when we get there we not happy with where it is he will all ways find us a table we happy with and if we just trun up to see if they have a table he will all ways try and finds us one he is all ways happy yo help where he can

Father's day- was running late due to an emergency called the restaurant they went above and beyond to keep our booking moving other bookings, general manager was awesome Excellent customer service by staff as well

Can’t understand this place. I’ve never been here where they haven’t taken forever and messed up half the orders. Loads of staff standing around but none serving, food takes forever, anything we changed on the orders completely ignored. I understand as a one off of course, but it is just the norm here every time we come. Also absolutely boiling, struggled to eat hot food when it was so hot, and was told the aircon doesn’t work by one staff, then just before we leave it’s turned on! Kids love the soft play though. And waitress was lovely, think she was from the play bit.
