Seafood Fish Bar in Peterborough

Haven’t been here for over a year, I’ve kind of known the owners for 24 years, had to jog her memory, lol,(used to deliver their stock from where I’m employed) went in today at lunchtime, they had just opened, I ordered chips, which were very nice, perfectly cooked and no greasy aftertaste, jumbo sausage without batter, which was cooked to order, and was ok as far as chippy sausages go, a portion of Doner meat, which wasn’t really to my taste, as I’m a kebab fan, quite greasy and very salty, but a very generous helping, and a small portion of curry sauce, which was tasty, but a little watery, and not very hot, but overall, not a bad meal for £9.10, can of pop included (£1). Quick efficient service, and good conversation with the Lady whilst waiting, which was only around 6 minutes. 8/10, definitely would use again, and great value pricing.

I have a used this fish and chips for many years and I live in this area and have tried other fish and chips in other local areas and would 100 per cent recommend for service and the best cod I have tried, and that includes the uk. It is the only place for me and my wife to eat cod and chips. Always 5 stars from me and my wife.

You can't buy fish and chips for £7 anywhere else in Peterborough apart from here have been using this fish shop for 20 plus years the food is good and £4 cheaper for fish and chips which fishy business charges

Cash only, stale food being given, went to discuss it. I believe they don’t understand it due to language barrier. They were disputing that their fish cold and rubbery. I think it was over cooked. Very arguably couple. Really really poor service.

Bought fish, it was stale, rubbery, went back to return it but men and women straightway yelling. Start arguing and shouting and said don’t come back, provided really pathetic service. Ive used them for first time and last. Need new owner and management. Highly wouldn’t recommend! I guess Price is what you pay, value is what you get.

Cash only! Chips were very oily throughout and my daughter thought I was joking when I showed her the portion size could fit in my hand. So much potential in the size of that place but the owners seem content with the bare minimum. Shame.

Been using this chippy for years. Everytime when I have been the man and woman always friendly and the place is always clean. I find they are the best, cheapest and big portions unlike most chippy in pboro. Won't use anyone else 5*

Used to use another chippy locally but fish and chips X two went up to £17.5. Now use these folks fish and chips X 2 = £13.00. Excellent fish and chips - keep it going. The proprietors have been running this place for years - keep it going.

Really good food, usually made to order rather than being given things made earlier and kept warm. Staff are friendly too.

Horrible food. Chips dry like cardboard and full of bad bits. Fish funny taste and smell went in the bin. Staff rude never again

Always very nice people here. Véry friendly and kind. Good sized portions . Fish is good with crispy golden batter. Mushy peas taste like old English style from 1970s. Good chips without the small scrappy ends. Even bread roll has butter taste instead of cheap margarine They have pride in their food. Always go there when I need fish chips. Highly recommend. Food very consistent and reliable. 10 out of ten for me.

This fish bar are absolutely disgraceful using my phone number I have went and gave them warnings to remove my telephone number but they have not got a care in the world and have ignored what I have said this is fraud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered food last night, fish and chips were ok, BUT ordered chicken thighs! They were defrosted in a microwave and then fried. Got he and they were all uncooked, red juice/blood poured out! Never eat here again

Great fish & chips. After a trip up to Peterborough to assist daughter with her house move and no break this was just what was needed before setting back off for Suffolk late evening. Well cooked food and well priced this provided an ideal meal to refuel after heaving furniture etc around. Friendly staff and large shop there is some limited parking and if in need of any essentials there is a corner shop next door to stock up. If conditions dictate will certainly go back and use for fish & chips.
