The Halfway Llanelli in Carmarthenshire

A party for my partners 40th birthday, there were 21 of us for a meal, we had a fantastic night, food was amazing. Rob and Paul were great throughout the build up to putting up the banners, keeping in contact through email, and generally keeping me stress free,,, thank you, will see you again soon

Absolutely stunning food with fantastic service. Waitress gave us free sides as the machine didn't register our meals that we ordered causing a little wait which we hadn't realised happened which was lovely. No complaints at all. Thank you

Visited the pub with family because we wanted a good an atmosphere with pub food as well as other food options than just pub food. The staff was good and they had separate dinning room from main bar. As well they had nice outside area with a van burger bar which the kids love. The burgers and fries were really good with an authentic US tasting burger. The manager Sharon was really nice and helpful. If you want a pub with additional food options this is a place to go.

Really nice place, good food at reasonable prices, good service and good play area for children. Highly recommend, and will return again.

This was our 4th visit to the Halfway for a meal. First class service all round. We were a group of 8, every meal was lovely cooked to perfection. Looking forward to the next visit Rose.

As always an amazing Sunday lunch with impeccable service, quality produce, superbly cooked & deliciously presented. With every mouthful tasting better than the last, it’s a meal, that honestly, you really never want it to run out..

We had a great time for our visit. Staff are all friendly and helpful and our food was delicious. What more can you ask for. If like me you like a walk after food there are some great shops within walking distance.

Walked in, there was no one to great us and had to find someone to see where we should sit, before we were able to sit down we got bombarded with what we wanted to drink , we didn’t even have a chance to sit down and look at the menu. We ordered drinks from the top of our head,and then ordered food, we then had to wait 45 minutes for four ready plated diners and one bowl of veg which had some sweed Tin like peas and red cabbage which personally wasn’t enough, Unfortunately my food was cold, and beef was as tough as boots and veg over roasted and very charred, and to top it off joking gravy, the gravy had no flavour to it and was like syrup. During the 2.5 hours we were there, we only had one round of drinks due to no one being around for us to ask. We then finished our food and ordered desserts, the dessert took just over half an hour to come to our table and then we had to wait 10 minutes while the waitress scrabbled around looking for spoons we which was very frustrating. The poor girl could only find two in the draw and we could see she was trying to ask the other waitress what should she do but instead grabbed her cutlery and left he to defend for her self which then left us waiting 5 minutes for her to get spoons to eat our desserts. Overall it was a big let down considering the pictures and the reviews say how good this place is but for some reason we didn’t experience what everyone else had. Waiting team need a bit more training in customer service their attention to detail was poor, when you clear a table they should be looking to see if the glasses are full or empty and offer more and when the desserts are ordered spoons and napkins should be placed on the table in advance so that their not scrambling around looking for them in the washing area and drying them as your coming out the kitchen door.

Eight of us visited today for a family birthday meal, all of us had a different meal from gammon to burgers. All the meals were generous portions and everyone enjoyed. All meals were well presented and appetizing. We opened a tab for the bill and we were well attended by our waitress Awel who kept checking that we had drinks. Whilst we did not request Welsh speaking staff it was so nice that Awel could take our orders, converse with us all, especially the children as they have limited English. Her care and attention was very professional. The food was exceptional value for money and we will be back very soon.

3 of us went for food a drinks on black friday ,it was a busy time as we expected.we had food at 4 pm in the small restaurant,we didnt have to wait long and the food was 10/10 served by pleasent staff ,nothing was to much for them.we then went into the bar where there was live music,great atmosphere ,highly reccomended.

As always an absolutely amazing Sunday lunch with the lady in my life, my only criticism would be too maybe leave the television OFF, as it really doesn’t contribute to the ambiance & atmosphere . If I want to watch the television, I really would just stay at home & cook..
