The Grove in Wandsworth

Southwest Eleven WOW we’ve used this amazing venue twice in the space of nearly 3 months (22 December 22) for my surprise 60th birthday and (15 March 23) for my big sister’s celebration of life funeral reception. This venue was perfect for both events it created such an amazing intimate ambience from the interior with a bar which had interchangeable luminous different coloured lights, a stage area for live music DJ set up or even performances (we had a gospel singer performing at my birthday party) and the sound quality from the venue speakers were superb. There’s also some space to dance on stage or on the floor area if you want to boogie suffice to say our guests utilised these spaces really well practically non-stop dancing all night to the excellent music being played. There are 3 big booths with tables that you can put together or separate to walk in between the gap to get to your seat without disturbing others. Come to think of it it was spacious enough for dancing as l saw many a guests standing up and dancing in the booths. There’s also a back dinning space which is on a platform adding another dimension to the premises we organised this space to maximise the seatings and to comfortably fit in the caterers by pushing the covered pool table against the back wall which we used to store the desserts/salad bowls, plates and utensils. The exterior secret beer garden with fake grassed semi sheltered tables/benches seating smoking area with disabled access has huge glass windows so we could view what’s happening from either outside looking in or inside looking out keeping us closely connected throughout the night. This makes the venue stands out amongst others as this fabulous cosy area meant that none of our guests were loitering outside the very front of the building causing any disturbances to the community making our function truly special and private. On both these dates we were extremely amazed by Dmitri’s warm friendliness, professionalism, he was very accommodating because he allowed us to decorate the venue from the night before in order to help take the stresses out of the funeral day. In fact we found all staff from the Security Guard at the door to the barman were all excellent. My family and l highly recommend Southwest Eleven for all your special occasions if you’re wanting something unique and classy? Well what are waiting for contact Dmitri and book your events today we did twice and we will absolutely 100% book with Southwest Eleven again.

Quizás el lugar ha cambiado solo para ser más como un lugar para beber. Prueba tu suerte con las hamburguesas pero ten una copia de seguridad. No es muy divertido caminar bajo la lluvia torrencial tratando de encontrar una alternativa decente.

Nettes Lokal mit gutem Essen. Sehr freundliches Personal, gestatte uns sogar einen Pint Pimm’s mit in unser Appartement zu nehmen. Brachten den Krug am nächsten Tag wieder.

Buen pescado y patatas fritas, servicio encantador. También música para nosotros (la familia), pero probablemente está bien para los jóvenes.

Went here with friends to watch the England World Cup semi final game. The staff (I think Dylan was the barman) were friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. It was 2-4-1 burgers when we visited, and I had the chicken down under burger, with a very tender, huge piece of chicken. And served with massive chips! I believe my friend had the full nelson and the beef burger in that was massive! Another friend had a sharing platter and we couldn't finish it. We also had a toddler with us who had sausage and mash from the kids menu, which looked delicious. He certainly enjoyed it. Once the match was over then it was open mic night, which I believe happens every Wednesday. The regulars (I assume they were regulars - it was my first visit) were very friendly and we didn't feel like outsiders at all. Them and the staff made for a great night - just a shame they couldn't make the football result a bit better!

My wife and I recently stumbled upon this place on our travels last week, and so glad we did. Met with a warm welcome, and quite a sight to see, pop culture references and such eclectic decor! The food was large portions, and defiantly worth the money. And i'll admit i'm quite a picky eater, and the staff couldn't have been anymore helpful in making sure my needs were met. My wife had the Napoleon Burger, Brie, bacon and onions, are real must try! we'll be back!

Brilliant zany decor, varied menu, great deals and prices, and incredibly friendly staff. It's a lovely venue for families and friends. I'd recommend this to anybody, if you're seeking lunch or a couple of catch-up pints, this hidden treasure is for you!

Came in for one drink with a mate, realised how cheap it was compared to every other pub in Battersea and stayed for the rest of the night! Ended up eating and struggled to choose from the huge amount of burgers on offer. Had the Bluesy Lucy and was so impressed that i'm sure to go back and make my way through the menu. The chips were proper home made ones too which made it even better!

Really fun, and cool night. Live music festival, six different live bands were playing and had a great burger.

Really cute little pub tucked back from Battersea Park Road - friendly staff, plenty of characters and decor that a person has actually thought about, rather than designed in a boardroom. There's always a real family feel and the food is some of the best (and biggest) in Battersea. Definitely worth a look.

Abbiamo provato per caso il Pub "The Grove" a Battersea, ed è stata una piacevolissima sorpresa. Birre davvero molto buone, e hamburger fatti in casa con filiera tracciata. La carne proveniva da una fattoria fuori Londra che rifornisce il pub abitualmente. Il titolare capendo che eravamo Italiani è stato gentilissimo e disponibile in tutto. Davvero consigliato per un pranzo e/o una semplice serata con una buona birra e musica live. Se passate da Battersea per caso fermatevi!

Popped in here after completing one of the attached escape rooms for a celebratory pint. Great pub with loads of character and something to inspect in every corner. Looks like they had loads lined up for the month, and the food brought to the table next to us smelt delicious! Will definitely be back to try it for myself!

Don't judge the pub when you walk in, the menu is great and selection of beers to match! We opted for burgers which we tasty and large, and priced really well for central London. Nice atmosphere and great staff.

The Grove is not your run of the mill pub. It looks like a cross between a student union bar and a comic shop. You'd be making a big mistake if you dismissed it because of its quirkiness though. It's a friendly pub which offers a full bar and excellent food at ridiculously cheap prices for London. It has a wonderfully laid-back feel, aided by the excellent music played at a volume which still allows you to converse without shouting. There are regular live gigs of music and comedy and themed party nights. It has built its reputation on its tasty burgers, yet, for me, the jewel in the crown is its Sunday roast for around a tenner. You get a huge portion too. You may not need to eat for the rest of the day! Well worth a visit.

I have to say I don't usually review pubs because there are lots of cool pubs around London but that one deserves a 5stars.I go there for the free comedy night they are hosting at the moment every couple of weeks. Entering the pub is a bit odd. There's an area that looks like a waiting room as you go through the door, the main pub area isn't much more cosy but if coming with a group it is the food that's fab. The menu is mostly burgers but there are enough choices for even the fussy ones. I had the veggie Mediterranean burger with haloumi which was huge but tasty. The coleslaw and chips on the side made the plate relatively healthy especially once I removed the bread. A great, quick and easy place to meet friends.

Been here a few times since taken over by new management. Really superb food at very reasonable prices, the burgers & Sunday roasts are terrific, best pub food around & very friendly service. Believe has some evenings with entertainment. Well worth a visit.

Great value and truly fantastic food. The roast potatoes had a thick, crunchy crust: I've only ever had better at my aunt's house. The cauliflower and broccoli came in a light but delicious white sauce. They were so well cooked that they had a slight singe to them to give extra flavour. The pork came with a lovely well cooked strip of crackling. To top it all, it was a very cheap place to eat. The pork was only £9, the vegetarian option only £8. We will definitely go back.

We booked an escape room as part of a work night out & team building exercise and thorough enjoyed! The escape was so good and challenged us all. I would definitely recommend this to anyone - The food was great too (massive portions!) and the bar / pub is awesome!

We booked a last minute group booking for 16 of us and were treated to our own area of the venue.After a 3 hour session at Go Ape it was a treat to arrive at The Grove (only a 5 minute walk away) and be greeted with warm smiles from all of the staff. The roast dinners were a bargain at £10 for the biggest plate of food I've ever seen and were absolutely delicious! There is no dessert menu but order a lemon meringue vodka shot and you won't be disappointed!The Grove doesn't look much from the outside but inside it is full of quirky paintings, posters and merchandise from comics, films, tv and more - my particular favourite was the Tardis!I would highly recommend The Grove as a great place to meet friends and chill out for a Sunday afternoon. The staff made it a highly enjoyable afternoon/evening and we felt so welcomed into their bar.We'll definitely be back for one of your famous open mic nights!

We accidentally wandered here and it was the best mistake in a while! The staff and the regulars were very welcoming and the place become our home for our trip. You have to try their sunday roast. Regards the finnish guys

Had one the best burgers ever here, after playing their Escape Room (kinda Crystal Maze-y puzzles against the clock), which was really different and great fun for three of us. Sister pub to The Nelson in Southwark, which I already know well. Has a similar quirky vibe and just as friendly.Can't recommend enough!

As London prices go this is a steal to be fair and worth going off the beaten track. I asked to mix things up and nothing was too much (lovely staff and an asset to the management in my opinion) really nice peeps, the chicken/boar burger was lovely, chorizo a little crisp BUT....the chips OMG PERFECT....I travel a lot and I will definitely take myself out of town to bring friends and family...got the feeling this place is like Wild Coyote/Social Club/Real Pub late week and weekelend...don't be fooled by appreance walk in and enjoy...if you don't tell TripAdvisor to bar me

Came in today for only the second time ever!...had two burgers both of which were insanely good wipes the floor with certain well known brands. Well worth the prices and would absolutely get charged more further up the road for a "not as good product". Very accommodating to my not so well behaved dog too!!! . All round a great discovery will defonatly be using it to make me look cool next time more of us are out and about.Also good for functions came for the first time to attend a wake..... the buffet did not disappoint.

Lecker Burger, Pommes auch sehr gut. Schöne Atmosphäre. Stimmung bei uns jedoch gekippt, da es einen Burger mit Pferdefleisch gibt. Also: nicht mit jungen Töchtern dort hin ;-)))

Having recently moved into the area, my boyfriend and I have been trying out our new locals. We visited this one last night, were greeted straight away in a really friendly manner by the landlady, and the bar staff were just as polite and charismatic. The décor is really fun, with a full-size tardis at one side, as well as posters and memorabilia littering the walls. All of this gives for a fun and relaxed atmosphere, and the beer is reasonably priced too! Can't wait to visit again.

We went for the Grove Fest. Food was amazing. Had burgers on the Saturday and the roast on the Sunday. Portion sizes are huge and all freshly cooked. The decor in the pub is out of this world and the staff are extremely welcoming and attentive. Will definately be returning and will be visiting the sister pub The Nelson as well.

We popped in last night after deciding against visiting a neighbouring pub and wow, I'm so glad we did!The lights and "dog friendly " sign outside were a great start. Inside the decor is brilliant. Fun and quirky but without trying too hard....it's what hipster bars wish they were. The staff are great, really friendly and chatty. Everyone had a smile on their face.We inadvertently visited on bogof burger Wednesday. Best surprise ever! The food was amazing. Their veggie selection was brilliant, best I've seen in a non veggie place. I opted for the veg on the med burger: hummus, halloumi (I replaced with pineapple) roasted peppers and red onion. The burger itself was gorgeous, slight spice to it and a succulent texture. My partner opted for the meat fest that's the scooby doo...two burgers with 4 toppings of your choice, so he went for a hearty mix of egg, chedder, bacon and hash browns. The meal was epic! The meat was excellent quality and although it was a challenge to finish due to the size of it, he loved it and cleared his plate. Both burgers came with proper chunky chips and salad. Delicious. I can't praise this place enough. We'd have happily paid the full price for our meals but the bogof was a wonderful bonus. We'll be back for sure.

Really friendly staff, and very tasty food - I stayed longer than I initially planned, it was that cozy. Also, the music was pretty good.

I cant rate the burgers high enough! The staff are excellent and the owner was in the middle of a trivia night when my partner and I went in but he still stopped to check on us to make sure we were enjoying our meal.For the price you pay you definitely get value and quality! The portions are fantastic and they do modern takes with their whole menu. Its a nice vibrant atmosphere and the people are happy to just have a quiet pint and enjoy their local area.They do trivia nights as well (we went on a Tuesday) and it seems like heaps of fun! They make their own blended house shots on certain nights which they give out to customers free of charge.One of the best things for me that I've found recently, you'll be really surprised when you get there and have something to eat :)

Had lunch here yesterday and was really very impressed. The service, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and fabulous home-cooked food were a hit (good portions and REAL chips!). I'll definitely return....

The Grove used to be a quiet "local" pub but has recently undergone something of a transformation with a "geek chic" feel.The bar is well stocked and the menu focuses on specialty burgers. I have tried a few and enjoyed them all.

If you are looking for a 'top London burger' this place will not disappoint. Thought I'd take a wander down Battersea Park Road to find somewhere for dinner, walked past this place initially, but very happy to say I ended up here for dinner.The bar is decorated a bit like a student bar, all random 'pop culture' items around the whole place. I liked the army soldiers on the ceiling. Their burger menu is extensive, beef, chicken, boar and horse. Ranging from a classic beef, through to their own specials. I plumped for "The Elvis" - Beef, bacon and peanut butter, served with crisp fries and a thoughtful side salad and home 'slaw I had a pint of Doombar to wash it down. This came in at just over £13.Delicious.Well prepared, cooked and presented. It is a large burger, I just managed to eat it and feel very full, I have a large appetite.

Great pub, been there years ago and now is totally changed, doesn't even look the same - great decorations, no pool table, no TV! A pub where you can have a conversation! I had an amazing burger, (juicy lucy) and couldn't finish it! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was brilliant. Will go there again. Highly recommended!

This is the new foodie-pub from the nice people at The Lord Nelson on Union St in Southwark. I've been going there for years so I went to try the new sister pub, The Grove. The big colourful sign is easy to spot but you half think you are going into the Tesco car park rather than a pub. But when you get there it's unmistakeably another brilliant little art pub. An outside seating terrace and a really big pub with lots of rooms and loads of space. Somewhere for everyone. Nice beers - big fan of the Yakima Red by Meantime which they have on draft. Also if you've been to the Lord Nelson you'll know their speciality is homemade vodka shots. You'll be pleased to know The Grove do them too. Anyway, on to the food. The burgers are all from Borough Market and organic, ethically sourced meat. The best has got to the be the Elvis Burger - topped with bacon and peanut butter. One of the great things about the pub is that they really cater for vegetarians and non-meat eaters with the burger menu too. There are five or six different options, although it would be hard to beat the Whoospie Lucy (veggie burger stuffed with cheese).

The Grove has had a full revamp and is now rocking a wonderfully weird interior and exterior, complete with random objects stuck to the bar ceiling, hand-painted murals and several Star Wars helmets (if you ask nicely the extremely easy on the eyes bar staff may let you wear them). The atmosphere is very chilled and the bar staff are so accommodating, it's not uncommon to be on a first name basis with them by the end of the night. As you can expect from the sister pub of the Lord Nelson the food is amazing, best burgers in town and will test the biggest of stomachs with their portion sizes. The beer selection is varied and to my extreme pleasure they have my favourite cider Stowford Press on tap, happy days. If you find yourself in Battersea you should definitely check out the grove, complete hidden gem :-)

Off chance drop in while on a business trip, recently under new management, and quite a lively place.A few beers and, I must say, a delicious burger, left me wanting more! Friendly staff and a very warm welcome. Double thumbs up from me
