My wife and I are in London for 3 months and we have found this quaint pub The Jolly Gardeners on Garrett Road. Three guys run the pub; Mike, Lee, and today we met James. Such nice fellows and easy to talk to. The food is excellent. We will absolutely be back often. We plan on working our way thru the menu options and there are many. LOL

Absolutely love this pub - the food is always incredible (best pizza in London!) and the staff are so lovely - helpful and accommodating.

An excellent boozer. Ian and Lee are behind the bar are top blokes happy to chat. Extremely friendly atmosphere and the choice of local Ale makes it well worth it.

Best roast beef in South London. Unbelievable quality and value.

Food was overcooked to the point of being burnt around the edges. Would expect better for the price. Service was good which helped offset. Plenty of parking options nearby too.

We held our wedding party here 3 weeks back. The most perfect of days. We had a couple of meetings with Adam the owner and opted for canapés and a bbq. We had the restaurant area and garden to ourselves which comfortably accommodated 60 guests. We had no formal seating plan which can be quite boring having to sit at pre determined tables. Guests were able to freely wander around mingling all day. The food itself was fantastic. Adam did a brilliant job with the bbb and all our guests commented on how good it was. We did bring in an outside company to decorate the place on the day with flowers, candles, lighting etc. And our dj friends provided the music and equipment The bar staff were brilliant and Adam even let us play the music past the agreed time given everyone was having a great time If you want to hold a less formal stuffy wedding event I would highly recommend the Jolly Gardeners. Great service and food from Adam & his team

Terrible Guinness, awful staff. Very aggressive with customers. Definitely somewhere to avoid. Not a good vibe.

Perhaps a little embarrassing but for the 3rd Sunday out of the last 4 we went to the the Jolly Gardner's for Sunday lunch. This time to celebrate my youngest daughter's 6th birthday. The food was excellent as always and the service as good, if not better than the food. It's not often you get staff as attentive and skilled as this in a local pub. The kids had fish and chips, perfectly cooked with a light crispy batter. The roasts were pork, 2* beef and I had the beetroot ravioli. Normally the outlaws wouldn't eat a full plate, not this time. They compared it to their Sunday lunch at the Cliveden... and Jolly Gardner was leagues ahead. For pudding, the menu is a little limited but we managed to work our way through 3 delicious chocolate brownies. If you want to eat here, you'll probably have to book. Every table was reserved when we arrived.

Fantastic venue, best service in London I would go as far to say. Locally opened and independent which makes this place even better in my opinion. The roast is another level and I will continue to frequent this place as long as I am in London and it’s still here. Please go and support and see for yourself

I do not often review pubs but the staff were rude and we were made to feel unwelcome, DO NOT RECOMMEND.

BEST PLACE IN LONDON! There were lots of locals. It's a bit out of the way for tourists, which we really liked. Just a wonderful menu, clean, cool, perfect. My food was amazing. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars!

Excellent food and wine, very attentive staff but they started cleaning up the tables and room so we had the feeling we needed to leave after 10.30pm. Wasn't cozy anymore unfortunately

A fantastic pub, I've been going for years - perfect for a quick drink, but just as good for a special occasion meal. The bar snacks are epic (and massive, be careful not to order too many!). The staff are awesome too.

Cool little pub, good menu, especially on the little plates to share front. Beer selection is a little limited. Plenty of TV screens for BT sport and Sky. And Tayto crisps for the Irish contingent! What more could one ask for!

Stevie and staff were really hospitable and friendly. Stevie also played some good music for us as we sat in the lovely beer garden. Will certainly return and next time sample the food....Carefree,😎

Friendly, efficient staff both at the bar and serving the tasty food. Pleasant and very welcome garden that just lacks a little warmth.

We enjoyed a lovely meal here with family. I had the fish cakes, which were very tasty. We sat out the back patio area. Would recommend. Staff are excellent.

A big fan of this pub, don’t let the outside deceive you, the garden has a berry vibrant feel to it and even has a TV out there. A covered area also which means you can enjoy this beer garden no matter the weather

The Jolly Gardeners is a great local pub, with a good outside area. The food is always excellent and the staff are friendly & helpful. I just wish they could ensure I was always getting a full pint, though the inability to do this seems pretty common in most pubs!

We found this lovely little pub a few months back. Ask the staff behind the bar if they did food they were quite happy to say yes we do. So had some lovely food that evening with my wife. Thoughts will bring the kids back this time totally forgetting that we had the dog with us. We asked staff if we could bring the dog in and they were happy to oblige and say yes there is not a problem at all. Sat down with the children and had a lovely meal with no complaints. Unusually kids do not really like vegetables but even our youngest Emma was quite happy to try a few. I could just pop a five star rating for one reason being polite manners go and awful long way. And the food is great and is also a lovely little pub with good Beer.

When they stopped serving roasts for the summer I was forced to look elsewhere. So I tried The County Arms, Selkirk, Wheatsheaf, Belle Vue, Rose and Crown (Clapham), Kings Head. All were a disappointment in comparison. Not only does The Jolly Gardeners offer the best, but it is shy of £20!

What the place might lack in atmosphere makes it up for the wonderful service and company. Cannot fault the staff at all who are some of the friendliest, and very baby/child friendly. Food is very good too.

The Place can be very good. Good location, friendly staff, good taste beer. Unfortunately all the tables, apparently clean, was sticky. I've ordered a chicken Caesar's Salad but something was wrong. First, I only add grated parmesan on my pastasciutta with tomato sauce, never on Caesar's Salad and in every case, grated parmesan needs to be served apart. There are also some others bad points. The dish was not the good one for cutting pieces of chicken, the Caesar's dressing was exchanged with garlic mayo, the chicken was warm, the eggs was coming out directly from the cold fridge. I think was the worst Caesar's Salad in my life especially after paid for this £ 12. Two stars because the good beer.

First visit here last night with my family . My sons have just moved across the road from here so this is their nearest pub. We had a table for 6 the food was good and the service was nice and friendly . We’ll definitely come again .

Great Sunday roast dinner & great value

Absolutely amazing food the burger was fantastic cooked just how I like it. Shame I couldn't finish it as I had a starter awell staff are amazing and on point and very polite. Nice atmosphere and a relaxing beer garden aswell. Well done guys xx

I've been wanting a decent pint in a pub garden for a while now and decided by chance to give the Jolly Gareners in Earlsfield a go, as it was on my way home from work. Their COVID arrangement are good, staff are attentive, friendly and willing to make suggestions and the food is great! The Sunday dinner menu looks fantastic, so I definitely plan on visiting again one weekend to taste the fare.

Such a cute little pub. The service has been top notch since we arrived. A smile behind the mask. Food is good, but maybe not gastro. Pints are lovely. A great Saturday afternoon haunt.

Supervisor was incredibly rude/aggressive when my friend asked politely about the closing time. He responded by patrionising him about watching the news. It states online that the pub closes at 11pm hence why he asked the question

Service was a little fickle and felt like a provincial 'regulars only' type of venue. Drinks not too pricey for this part of London though. Pub was pleasant inside and airy. Didn't appreciate being made to fill out track & trace.

Been here 3 times with the missus and the boy and always left satisfied. Watch the service charge add-on. Ours was £10...the wife said it should be no more than a fiver and for the first time in ages i agreed with something she said. Lovely staff, outdoor seating if you want. Great Chef. Enjoy

It's been quite hit and miss this pub over the years struggling for identity. Unusual that your closest pub is not your local... having physically walk past it for 14 years to go elsewhere. What is it? I think the layout bothers me. It's main operational trading space is the restaurant at the back and a tiny bar at the front... but it's a pub! Shouldn't they swap it round? Anyway for the first time I can see they got it licked! Super polite reception guiding us through the post lockdown procedures.  Most tables taken inside and out. Friendly efficient table service from surgical masked team. They know what beers they serve when you ask which is essential when you're not allowed to stand at the bar. Sounds basic but a skill not accomplish by most pubs. Cricket was on the telly and what the kids call cool beats playing at the rear.  Always a decent menu in fairness however always always thought slightly overpriced but it is an independent in competition with Young's. The chef didn't look too busy but it was early... I used to joke 'it's not jolly and there's no garden'. I would say it's friendly and has a fab decked area but that doesn't have the same ring to it does it... give it a go.

Spent a socially distanting afternoon there yesterday. The Landlord and staff were most welcoming. Food was fab. Thoroughly recommend this place if you want to venture out in these strange times.

No track and trace system and very strict on tables. Moving table after two hours caused some upheaval and was frowned upon, to the point the man running the place called me a 'pain in the neck'. Other customers were treated with a much more can-do approach, but they did seem selective on this. Some staff lovely, some very 'we can't'. They can't track and trace that's for sure, so I leave my name here through review as some small service to such.
