The Grosvenor Hotel Rugby in Rugby

I have booked in December 1. The room has inadequate heating. 2. Feces in the washroom. 3. Water blocked in washbasin. 4. Very small shower room. You can't even fit in it. 5. Small room, just enough roof over the head. Don't recommend at all.

It was cheap but the rooms very outdated broken bed frame, used beds, broken window, almost everything was broken and dirty. Staff was ok, to many stairs...

Not the great plece to stay, arrived there and been asked to wait because another family came before us and has been given the room that meant to be for us .When we went in the room was an odd smell ,we tried to open the window but was broken .One of the bed frame was broken and the bed sheets had a lot of hair on them .Under one of the pillow we found a pair of socks 🤢

I was unlucky, the room was very dirty. Everything was in a terrible state, the shower was flowing like a fountain in different directions, for an hour only boiling water was pouring. The bed was covered in other people's hair, not strange, I had to sleep in my clothes.The electric kettle also doesn't work.

This hotel is is unsanitary, unfriendly receptionist not helpful And to top it off drunk people try to get in your room in the middle of the night

Stayed here a couple of times. Such a good night sleep, staff are welcoming & helpful and they have a new bistro in there now that serves most of the day...sometimes people are sat out the front drinking wine in the sun. It looks great, as does the hotel, and is delicious! The Grovesnor's always been a bit alternative; love the changes. Nice vibe. Thanks for a fun stay

Ok room, only one chair, needs updating badly

From the outside, hotel looks presentable. The bistro in the hotel, run by a separate company was amazing and couldn’t go any further out of their way so this is worth a visit, however the hotel is not. The mattresses are sagging, the bathrooms are mouldy, there are phone line sockets hanging off the wall. There was a Guinness can holding our window open, the drapes are all ripped, the lock was intermittent m. We were staying for two nights and as it was a base, was happy to over look these issues for just sleeping. However after returning to our room on the 2nd night, I was met with the most gut wrenching smell. POO ALL over the toilet, our MIL was next door and her toilet was fine, they just came with a 5lt tub of chemicals no actual cleaning stuff and I wasn’t staying in a room with a baby that was filled with chemicals or poo so we left.

The worst hotel i have ever stayed in! Loud music keeping us up all night, room dirty with rubbish under the bed from previous guest. The bathroom was so dirty and covered in mould it was unusable! I requested the room to be cleaned and towels changed but this was not done. I will definitely not be returning.

Definitely the best price/performance place you can find to stay in Rugby. Rooms are clean, staff is very friendly and never backs down from helping. Rooms are big enough, water pressure in showers is good. But outlets mostly not close to the beds, this will be my only complain i guess.

Clean rooms. Reception are always helpful with any queries. No complains. Good value.

I've been at Grosvenor Hotel before few years and love to visit their bar and restaurant as well and it was really nice atmosphere,with very friendly staff members.Now I need a  place to stay in Rugby and choose to stay there - well I was so disappointed  unfortunately 😞 First of all the main entrance is not in operation,you need to go in the back where is the car parking .The door was locked and we need to ring the bell ,and after a minute the receptionist arrived - it was a friendly person who takes me to the room .And that was the moment when I was shocked - dirty and need a lot of maintenance, shower 🚿 was only boiling water - you can't control it as it was broken ,so to take a shower was really interesting experience 😁 also i've asked when I did my booking for a quiet room if possible and they confirmed,but guess what - they allocate me a room facing the main road,which was a bit noisy ,well what can i say.I'm really disappointed,as I used to like that place....

we have just left this hotel, and have to say, the new management are amazing. any request we made (not that we made a lot) was not a problem and they fixed every issue with speed and efficiency. the rooms are pretty decent, what you expect for what we paid. it also has easy access to many locations around rugby. i have also seen some people on the reviews say about the water pressure when using the shower, but we didn't have a problem and the shower was actually really really nice. but overall a great stay, and definitely would recommend.

As nice as the staff were unfortunately i have to be honest about the room. The first room we got the shower was broken, barely any water coming from the shower head as the water was coming out from the broken hose, the little corner step to get in the shower the tile was badly cracked, any1 could get themselves hurt on that badly. There were little sachets of shampoo and and body gel but it u could see they had stick mold on it. Very poor hygiene on the shower department itself was lots of yellow bits were coming out awhile having a shower. We told them about the shower head issue has we couldn't have a proper shower, they changed us to a different room, you could tell it was an "upgrade" sort thing as the room looked much better and the bathroom itself was 3 times bigger and with a bathtub this time but there was no pressure at all! Unfortunately it will be a place where we won't be staying again and definitely not recommend.

Room & bedding was clean, shower was good & powerful, receptionists were helpful & the whole process was quick & easy. A little run-down in places but excellent value

New manager has just taken over and findings their feet. Very good quality and nice staff. We will be back next year.

Absolutely disgusting, it needs renovating big time. Gone downhill over the years.
