To start with they were rude in the cafe, breakfast came out cold, eggs were undercooked, cutlery were dirty. Will definitely not be eating here again

Called in with 2 very busy grandchildren today.Small playground outside and small play area inside which kept them amused. The children enjoyed their children's meals. The special of chicken, bacon in a light pepper sauce with rice and salad garnish hit the spot, was delicious and perfectly cooked by the friendly chef. The 4 meals were very reasonably priced. They also do 2 courses for a fiver for OAPS on Wed ,Thus and Friday. Will return for sure

Excellent food cooked fresh to order and staff were friendly and welcoming. Play area outside for the children too. Good if your on a tight budget but by no means does that reflect the quality of the food.

What a sad loss to our community after great community spirit fund raising events open door days for the less fortunate and a very public petition to keep open sadly the powers above close this service. This is now CLOSED

visited this cafe only a couple of times when visiting the excellent centre it is situated in . Had a left over sunday beef dinner in a container with paper top and altough the food was nice the portion was small and I was charged £8.00 for it .Just think that was expensive for a community run cafe in a community centre . Could not afford to take the family on those prices

We visited on a Wednesday evening for a gf meal (3 coeliac). Mark the chef us very knowledgeable about CC and did a lovely dinner. As he had run out of gf cake when we got there at 6 he went and made the effort to make a fresh cheese cake for our dessert. The service was amazing and the quality of food was excellent.

Although I've lived in Ontario, Canada for 35 years, Clydach is my home town. A couple of weeks ago, eight of us went back for my wife's Mothers 80th birthday. We ate at this restaurant several times, and I can't say enough good things about the food or the service. When there, you really are made to feel welcome, and the food is excellent. The owner of the Café (Marc) is quite a character and is incredibly well thought of by the community. The day we were leaving I wanted somewhere where our family and friends could get together and have breakfast, the café isn't usually open on a Sunday, but he opened up specially for us, and laid on lots of things that we hadn't expected. Good food! Good people! Good prices! and nestled in a park setting with a river running past it, in fact a few hundred yards away there's even a scenic little waterfall.

I very much enjoyed the lamb shank which is £6.95 and well worth it. Large helpings of delicious vegetables (the peas particularly nice - I wonder how they are cooked!) and a good portion of lamb shank in minted gravy. Extremely nice. Pleasant surroundings and nice helpful staff.

I think the two word heading sums it up, a real Community Cafe with a heart. A credit to the hospitality industry - great food thanks

Haystack, Brynhyfryd – The OG Brunch Spot ❤️🔥 We’ve been obsessed with this place since day one, and it just keeps getting better! Their firm favourites never miss, and the monthly specials? Always top-tier 🤌🏼. March’s specials have been an absolute Cymru delicacy dream 🏴 🐉 🔥 🥓 Bryn-stack – This is Welsh brunch on steroids. Two slices of toasted sourdough, grilled to perfection with Colliers mature cheddar and Gower Gold rarebit. Topped with crispy bacon, two fried eggs, and the most insanely good crispy cockles. Oh, and the laverbread hollandaise? Absolute gold 🏆. Every bite is rich, cheesy, and packed with proper Welsh flavour. 🧀 Cheesy Leek Loaded Tots – Crispy, golden tater tots smothered in a ridiculously good leek and cheese sauce made with Gower Gold and Colliers mature cheddar. Topped with crispy pancetta lardons and fresh parsley. Comfort food at its very best 🤤. 🍔 The Brunch Burger – A Haystack staple! Sausage patty, crispy bacon, chilli jam, halloumi, and a fried egg, all stacked inside a soft brioche bun. Served with tater tots, because of course 😮💨. Sweet, savoury, spicy – it just hits every single craving. Everything was absolutely sublime – the bold, rich flavours of Wales in every bite. Cheese, leeks, cockles, laverbread – Haystack really gets it 💯. Counting down the days until April’s specials drop! ⏳🔥 @haystackcafe Massive shout out to Liam for getting us down and for Wil & the team for looking after us so fabulously 🫶🏼 indulgent, Welsh, brunch, crispy, iconic

Not a very good experience. Firstly we were overcharged by about £6 for some bacon. If we didn't query it, we wouldn't have known. Thus is not the first time it's happened to us. I dread to think of how many others have been unknowingly overcharged like us. No apology from the server. Next, our coffees arrived and we're very cold. Had to send them back. Again no apology. Our food was very standard, nothing to rave about. The bread certainly was not home made as advertised. Far too overpriced for what you get. Also, some politeness and curtesy wouldn't go amiss with the lady that served us. A little bit of care and a 'sorry' makes a big difference.

Pennard is one of the true hidden gems in golf. A proper links with breathtaking views of Three Cliffs and Oxwich Bay from several holes. I’ve played it several times now and it’s always magnificent condition. One of those courses where you just don’t want the round to end.

Love the cakes, though, 4 months after moving shop they have yet to update online sources with their new telephone number.
