The Greyhound in Brentwood

This isn't my first review of this pub. It's a firm favourite of mine. I'd just like to give a shout out to Emily, our server today. As well as great service she made us feel very much at home, with friendly conversation and warm smile.

food was absolutely amazing the steak was cooked perfectly our waitress Emily quantock was so lovely and kind and Accommodating to my allergies and double checked everything, she showed me all the ingredients of my food which made this meal feel very safe for me and actually allowed me to enjoy it and relax a night out THANK YOU!!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Amazing Pub Experience!** I recently visited the greyhound and had a fantastic time. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a cozy yet lively vibe that makes it the perfect spot for a night out with friends. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The drink selection is top-notch, offering a great variety of local brews and creative cocktails. We also tried some of the pub fare, and it was delicious—especially the burger. Can't wait to come back again. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great pub experience!

Great gastro-pub with a brilliant outside garden area for sunny days. Food is always very nice. Great parking. Great for elderly family members and those with disabilities. Emily out server was lovely.

Such a lovely place but service was appalling. Waited over an hour and a half for our dinner after prompting staff when would it arrive. When it finally arrived had to ask for some items that were left off the plate. Manager was abrasive to customers and staff. Beautiful place food was lovely once it arrived but service will certainly be letting this place down

Food was hot and fine, we did have to wait but I think that was due to staff shortages our waitress was running around like a headless chicken. But the pub needs a complete-overhaul seats are stained and old, stairs bannisters to the toilets Need painting it just looks so grubby

Service was very slow even though there were only 6 customers dinning. Ordered drinks, food came and was eaten before drinks arrived! Paid £24 for a steak. Steak came overcooked, with 10 chips, 3 partially cooked tomatoes and brown side salad. No appetising to look at or eat!! All food was luke warm and my wife's carrots appeared to have been cooked days before. Shame as this was the first time visiting here as we are looking for a country pub setting which serves delicious food........unfortunately we are still looking........

We absolutely love this place and usually visit at least once a month. The atmosphere is always cosy and welcoming, and even when it’s busy, the service is friendly and efficient with staff going above and beyond to make us comfortable. Nice variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages such as teas and coffees, beers and ciders, cocktails and cocktails, and soft drinks. Their food is absolutely amazing and I’d highly recommend the burgers and their fish and chips; the halloumi fries are absolutely amazing too! It’s kid friendly and good for couples, families and friends at any time of day. Always nice to come here to have brunch, lunch, dinner or just drinks in a lovely atmosphere with friendly faces.

We waited a very long time for our food. When it arrived, 2 meals had been left under the hotplate, eggs were like rubber, peas like bullets! Had to clean our own table, patio needs a good clean! But the fish and chips was very good!

I recently dined at Greyhound Inn, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The restaurant, located in Warley, offers a warm and family-friendly atmosphere. Here are the highlights: 1 Great food. Ample variety to serve all taste buds 2. Excellent kids menu. All the little uns were full! 3 Friendly Staff: Despite a busy evening, the staff remained attentive. Our waitress, Stacey, stood out for her friendly demeanor and helpfulness. 4 We have a couple of guests with allergies. However, Stacey handled our inquiries professionally.

We came here last month and the food and service was good. Unfortunately today we had to wait an hour and a half for our mains despite asking three times for an update to be told that ‘they were overrun in the kitchen it was actually hysterical’ when the food did arrive the macaroni cheese was a hard stodge and didn’t taste cheesy and the chicken breast on the salad was dry and no salad dressing was given for the salad.

Rory and eliza were amazing hosts tonight, they were fast and efficient on the bar and the food was great, i recommend the duck pizza and fish and chips, it was all great! will be back for sure

I came for lunch today with my friend I had the fish and chips and my friend had a steak sandwich, the atmosphere was very relaxed and Emma our waitress was outstanding so friendly and smiley nothing was too much, would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

I’ve had some really nice meals at the Greyhound, but my last visit was a disappointment. We had a set lunch menu and I had pâté followed by fishcakes. The slab of pâté came with two pieces of very dry bread that looked and tasted like it came from a cheap supermarket range. No butter provided. The fishcakes were overcooked, dry and accompanied by bland chopped up new potatoes and some charred broccoli, which unfortunately just tasted burnt . Disappointing

I had the best fish and chips ever, it was amazing! The lady who served us was brilliant too.

Upon arrival Stacey was very welcoming, helpful and friendly and also very smartly dressed and presentable. She gave recommendations for the best meal to choose as I couldn't choose myself. She was prompt in letting us know what items from the menu weren't available this evening. Stacey was very chatty and friendly throughout our visit which made us feel very at home and a valued customer. Meals were fabulous, very good portions. I had the chicken and bacon salad, which was the best chicken and bacon salad I've ever had. My partner had the duck and hoisin pizza which was freshly made and HUGE. Thank you for a fabulous evening
