Holiday Inn Brentwood M25, JCT.28, an IHG Hotel in Brentwood

Absurb, appalling, maybe even racist. Room size and amenities was better than expected which is pretty much the most positive aspect. Landscaping at the entrance was well maintained, bar and restaurant looked freshly renovated. However the service was disgusting and I will not hold back on my review. Barring one member of staff at the bar and security at the front door, the others were rude, unprofessional and I will say, racist. Check in was terrible, no mention about WiFi, breakfast, gym and spa area, parking, restaurant and bar, key cards or anything welcoming. The bar staffs has foul looks and although the room amenities and space was good, it's very dated and the shower temperature fluctuates from sudden extreme hot to warm back and forth. My room was noisy from machines too. Sat afar and observed the staff behaviour, they were happily smiling, chatting and providing lovely services to non Asian guest whilst doing the bare minimum to those they reckon not of equal racial standard. Absolutely shameful and a pathetic disgrace. You're welcome.

The bed in the room was very old, and dipped to one side making for a very uncomfortable nights stay. There was no soap in the dispenser in the shower, and two tissues which had been placed back into the box. Housekeeping is not properly cleaning the rooms, or the hotel management are not providing the stock necessary to replenish used items. The breakfast was very good, and the staff were very helpful. Tash made time to talk with us from the kitchen, and passed on our thanks to her team.

Great stay in Brentwood for a local family celebration. Comfortable room with kids bed already made up when we arrived. Tasha the chef made delicious pancakes especially for our daughter and brought them to the table and made a lovely fuss of her.

Amazing hotel amazing staff tasha is great her food quality at breakfast is amazing so fresh and stocked very quickly so friendly highly recommend also Maria and Joanne so lovely too

Another disappointment service at this place. I went to a work meeting . Staff is always looking very confused, and nobody knows what they are doing. I don't blame staff but management . Maybe extra training would help everyone.

Stayed here for my 21st birthday and the staff were nothing but lovely! Offering me prosecco and making sure I had a lovely day! The room was slightly disappointing due to a chip in the TV and the shower not being great however, I still had the best 21st because of the staff members here! Thank you!

Chef Tasha who prepares breakfast is phenomenal. She is personable, extremely helpful and very customer friendly. Breakfast was fantastic and the serving staff extremely pleasant and helpful.

Ok, now I'm a bit biased because I got here at 3 AM after leaving a terrible hotel, but man.. this place goes HARD! I love it! Beautiful lobby, amenities, great service, clean rooms, exactly as advertised, and AC! Beautiful!

Another very comfortable stay. Our room was excellent, refurbished since our last stay, good daily cleaning. Staff very friendly, helpful and attentive in reception, housekeeping, restaurant and kitchen. Lovely relaxing breakfast, we are always met with a welcoming smile. Food very well cooked and hot, including the specially ordered poached egg on the last day, cooked to perfection. I have enjoyed using the swimming pool, for me an added bonus. When we return in the evening there is a lively buzz in the bar which we like. Safe parking. Location on the M25 / A12 junction is very convenient for our visits to family and onward journey. We shall be back here for our next visit to family. Thank you. Very happy to recommend.

Old style room in desperate need of a revamp. However the service is great especially Tasha in the kitchen. Very attentive and great service with a smile.

We had a few swimming lessons for aur baby there, but we enjoyed the pool and changing area.

Great hotel, on business for a month in Essex... have booked here for the rest of my business trip...really enjoying my stay. Team here are so helpful nothing is to much trouble.

I would give more stars for service if I could. The evening service from Praven was excellent, he kept us fed and watered all night. Breakfast service was also fantastic. We are a group of 5, 4 are vegan, 1 with a peanut allergy too. Chef Tasha double checked ingredients to ensure our food met our dietary requirements which was very reassuring. The restaurant was well managed by Lily, thank you for your help. The hotel manager and front desk staff also deserve a mention for managing our requests in a professional and friendly manner. This was an overnight stay before attending a family wedding.

Lovely place to enjoy your time with your family and friends ! I celebrated my son’s second birthday there and had a wonderful time. Staff is very friendly , hotel very clean and we had the chance to enjoyed swimming pool and the gym! Definitely we will come again!

I’ve never had to wait an hour for my room to be ready (considering the OHG rewards early check in aswell) One of the worst holiday inns I’ve been stayed at and I don’t think there will be another. Do not be fooled by the photos on Google, this hotel is very warn out! Just 1 picture of the bathroom in a room showing how poorly maintained it is. The health suite is no better, tiles held together with black duct tape and a steam room that’s never been cleaned! Absolutely not worth £128 a night and I think this will wave good by to IHG for me and their rewards scheme.

The services at the Holiday Inn was very good . I would recommend anyone to come to the Holiday Inn. I stayed at the holiday Inn at Brentwood Essex. The food and drinks was very good excellent, and all services was very good Excellent. And all the staff was friendly and very helpful.

We were looked after, very well, special thanks to our Restaurant Manager Julie. Very helpful and understanding of coeliac, gluten-free dietary requirement's. Julie is a great ambassador for Holiday Inn and IHG Hotels, thanks.

Here for a family event and we had a great stay. They staff were all very friendly and accommodating, they made us feel very welcome. The food is fabulous, breakfast has plenty of choice. Despite being a very small group in comparison to others they had staying we never felt less important. Location was easy to find and handy for motorway.

Have stayed here a number of times over the years it’s always been very good . Very well located, parking on site , clean tidy rooms & and excellent gym . Was helped by great service from Elena, Ivan , Lola ,Julie & Joanne from breakfast. The guy in the gym was also very helpful and showed me how to use the peloton bike.

Very impressed with the staff at Holiday Inn Brentwood. In particular, a lady called Julie who was very welcoming on arrival and took room service orders, which was much appreciated after an extremely long journey. Thank you.

Great staff and services, nice clean room. Great restaurants with Marco Pierre White chains. The only negative is the room is slightly outdated.

I have stayed at this hotel for a few weeks for work and I have enjoyed it, great rooms and lovely food. Would like to say a special thanks to Daniela and Derek, very friendly staff and always happy to help. They made the stay a lot better and I appreciated it.

I had a great stay and everyone was incredibly accommodating but I have to say Julie was amazing went above and beyond to make us feel at home ,she took an interest in us and our work trip, we had a great laugh together and she even came up to the room with goodies for myself and my colleague !!! We will definitely be returning !!!

Good location, good venue for conference/ training. Staff on reception and gym were lovely. Gym/ pool ok. Rooms not up to same standard as the reception area. Tired and in need if updating. Food at conference ok, they did provide more healthy options on day 2. In general good.

I was there for a 3 day Bootcamp and found the hotel service professional and the food delicious.

Stayed here in may 2024, and what a positive, helpful and friendly team this hotel enjoys. Great restaurant, easy parking, good facilities but most of all a great team of professional staff.

The staff at Reception, especially Julie S. exceeded our expectations in providing some extra bathroom and bedding items. The Rooms were clean, well furnished, bedding was luxurious and facilities were good. There was an adequate choice of breakfast options. A nicely maintained Hotel with friendly hardworking staff.

Wow,simply excellent.Everything from the moment I checked in to leaving the next day was superb.Friendly welcoming staff,massive room with huge flat screen TV,comfy bed,nice and quiet at night.Food was excellently prepared and really tasty.This is the best holiday Inn I've stayed at so all credit to everyone there.I will be returning.

Clean and tidy and close to M11 , good food well priced , drinks are hotel prices great amenities (spa, pool etc). Football on TV.(sky and tnt)

A really excellent one night stay. Every aspect great especially reception staff, a particular mention for Kelly (with the belly she said!) in the kitchen was super helpful. We like all the Holiday Inns we’ve stayed in, this was perhaps best.

Any Hotel that charges £8 per day, according to their chatbot, to park in their car park deserves one star! Update 11/04/24.Hi Ivan, Thankyou for your reply. Your excuse that the car park isn't yours is a popular reason to give. Most businesses refund a car parking charge to customers to deter random parking. Using a parking company to use apnr cameras to charge a extortionate fee to customers who happen to fall foul of their, "conditions", doesn't encourage return business. I have updated this review because the email I sent to the address in your reply was blocked!

First visit and we only met friends for breakfast this time, but very impressed with hotel layout, atmosphere and staff friendliness to help.

Very nice stay. Hotel might want to consider moving the smoking area from in front of the entrance as you could smell the smoke in Reception and in the bar area when we arrived and later when we had dinner. The staff definitely make this hotel. So warm and welcoming. Reception staff, breakfast staff and the gentleman at the gym all made you feel very welcome with their warm smiles and made you feel they were pleased to see you. I have only experienced this when staying at five star hotels or overseas. The staff are a credit to this hotel.

I use the swimming pool , jaccuzzi and bar food / drink. The staff in the bar are helpful, the spa stuff are friendly, interested and helpful. I walk with a stick and they always help where they can. ( as do bar staff)

The gym at the hotel, Spirit Health Club is excellent I live local and couldn’t recommend it enough, heated pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. It also has 2 peloton bikes that I use every day. The staff in the gym are extremely friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for you ! I’ve had 3 family members join recently as we have been so impressed.

Upon my arrival, I was eager to maintain my fitness routine, Adam the gentleman who works in the gym went above and beyond to ensure I had a seamless experience using the Peloton bike. Adam recommended a routine and tailored the settings to my preferences and offered invaluable tips to optimise my workout.

As a regular user of the Chestnut Room for training purposes- I cannot emphasise how wonderful the team are at Holiday Inn, Brentwood. Sarah, Cheryl and the reception team are always, friendly, professional and assist immediately when I request anything. Today especially as they went above and beyond my dining requirements, which leads me to the catering team, from Lily, Joanne and head chef Richard and the rest of the team - they never let me down. This is a reflection of the professional leadership of James, Donna, Sarah and Cheryl. A brilliant venue to be a customer and a wonderful staff all round- 10/10.
