Hotel is fine as long as your neighbour is quiet! Rooms a little dated but clean and tidy. Great location for travelers. Avoid the restaurant, they over charge. Everything in the new York grill section clearly comes with fries as the menu is written, however they will charge you for them as a side.

Asish service was simply sweet . I love to visit again.

From the moment I sat down, he greeted me warmly with a genuine smile and made me feel truly welcome. Asish was attentive to every detail, ensuring my dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. He went above and beyond to accommodate my preferences, offered great menu suggestions, and checked in regularly without being intrusive. Overall really disappointed the only reason we came to this hotel was because they had a spa, checked in no one told us the spa was currently out of use. And had no email to say it was not working

The customer service was great from the beginning to the end of my stay! The receptionists were really nice and helpful. The room was excellent, clean and comfortable. Will definitely be returning! Special thanks to Natasha, she was very patient and helpful with all my queries, she is a great asset to the team!

Comfortable, clean room - all I needed for a one night stay. Pauline was very helpful, advising me about the swimming pool and restaurant and bar facilities.

Shout out for the breakfast staff…an excellent range on offer. The “fried” breakfast was all oven cooked and absolutely delicious, succulent sausages, lovely eggs and a special mention for the mushrooms..lightly cooked with a lovely black pepper tang. Special mention to chef TASHA who I believe was responsible for the cooking of the mushrooms (and no doubt most of the other cooked offerings), she came over and chatted with us to see if everything was good…and it was.

Restaurants and restaurant service is brilliant. Swimming pool is good. Rooms are basic. All the money has gone kn the hotel and facilities

Lovely hotel, great having 24hr reception as we got in late after a wedding. Lovely hot breakfast with a variety of options which was all served fresh and hot. Lovely hostess at the restaurant who ensured we were well looked after!

This is the third year that we have stayed in this hotel between Christmas and New Year. Lovely hotel with great facilities. My two young children love the swimming pool. Lovely well stocked breakfast. Special shout out to Julie who was very accommodating on our second morning at breakfast.

The staff were tremendous on Christmas Morning; Joanna, Maria, Kalia and Chef - Tasha were all very attentive, friendly and the perfect hosts for The Brentwood Holiday Inn Restaurant. The food was fresh and everything was available. The teachers were cleaned almost immediately after people had finished and were leaving. We're really happy that we're staying Boxing Day as well!! This is a review for the great breakfast we’ve enjoyed this Xmas morning. Tasha (the chef) is so friendly and accommodating and the food tastes great. Thank you Tasha and Karl for a lovely start to Xmas Day - it’s five stars from us for the restaurant.

I was down in Rainham, Essex for the works' Christmas bash on Friday and stayed a night at the Holiday Inn in Brentwood. As with all Holiday Inns, my stay was fine with an excellent breakfast. However, what made my stay extra special was the service and attention from a member of staff called Tom whilst I was having breakfast. He politely asked me the reason for my stay which led to discussions covering a variety of topics including music, boxing, golf....and more music. Of course, Tom was working and periodically had to peel off to tend to other hotel guests. At one point, I said I was just going to have a banana and then head off as I had a three and a half hour drive up to Sheffield. Half a minute later, unprompted Tom brought me a banana. We chatted some more but then I really did have to leave. I felt my experience merited leaving a review as Tom had no cause to talk with a 63 year old other than general pleasantries associated with his staff role but he'd gone out of his way in making my stay just that little bit more special and memorable. So, a big thank you Tom ! Oh....I also had a most pleasant chat with a lady member of staff about our respective favourite gigs we had been to, mine being Bruce Springsteen at Wembley on July 4th during his 'Born in the USA' tour and hers being a George Michael gig before his untimely passing. So another big thank you !

Location is good. Rooms nice and warm. Breakfast was lovely and Julie was amazing who got our children pancakes and took her time to talk to us and give us directions as we are not from this area.

Stayed here for one night rooms are of a good size. Bar service was fast and efficient.

The hotel is well-located and offers refurbished rooms, creating a pleasant stay. The breakfast is enjoyable, and the property is warm and comfortable—particularly important during the winter months. However, the service, particularly at reception, could benefit from more enthusiasm. Overall, I would consider returning, especially for business travel.

I regularly visit the Holiday Inn in Brentwood with my partner and have always been pleased with the service and food. However, on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, around 6:15 pm, I had a very disappointing experience. It took 50 minutes for my lemonade to arrive, 30 minutes for the Belgian waffles, and 45 minutes for my mushroom bruschetta. We couldn’t enjoy our meal together, as the second waffle arrived an hour later. The bruschetta was a particular issue. I ordered the same dish a week ago, but this time it was completely different. The sauce was thick and crumbly, with cheddar cheese instead of blue cheese, and there were barely any mushrooms. I didn’t eat it and asked the staff to check, as it didn’t match the usual presentation. A lady (possibly a manager) initially agreed but then said the recipe had changed recently. I disagreed, as I had eaten the same dish multiple times recently and it had been consistent. I was told the mushrooms were the same amount, but they were cut differently. The bruschetta was much smaller than usual, with only four small pieces of mushroom. I then asked another waitress, who confirmed there had been no change to the recipe. I also asked if the chef could prepare it the old way for an extra charge, but was refused without the chef being consulted. I felt this was just an excuse from the kitchen staff not to remake the dish. After sending the bruschetta back, I was told I’d receive a refund at the reception. When I went to reception, the staff member sent me to the bar, where the bar lady seemed confused and processed the refund without communicating with me. The manager then approached me, told me I was supposed to go to reception, and processed the refund with no apology or acknowledgment of the confusion. I would appreciate it if you could look into why this dish has changed and why the staff refused to accommodate my request to have it prepared as it used to be. It didn’t match the menu description, and I left without eating we only had our coffee, drinks and Belgium waffles (on two seperate occasions due to delays!) we ate our dinner outside.i regularly visit your premises and bar and never experienced poor service and poor food.

Absurb, appalling, maybe even racist. Room size and amenities was better than expected which is pretty much the most positive aspect. Landscaping at the entrance was well maintained, bar and restaurant looked freshly renovated. However the service was disgusting and I will not hold back on my review. Barring one member of staff at the bar and security at the front door, the others were rude, unprofessional and I will say, racist. Check in was terrible, no mention about WiFi, breakfast, gym and spa area, parking, restaurant and bar, key cards or anything welcoming. The bar staffs has foul looks and although the room amenities and space was good, it's very dated and the shower temperature fluctuates from sudden extreme hot to warm back and forth. My room was noisy from machines too. Sat afar and observed the staff behaviour, they were happily smiling, chatting and providing lovely services to non Asian guest whilst doing the bare minimum to those they reckon not of equal racial standard. Absolutely shameful and a pathetic disgrace. You're welcome.

The bed in the room was very old, and dipped to one side making for a very uncomfortable nights stay. There was no soap in the dispenser in the shower, and two tissues which had been placed back into the box. Housekeeping is not properly cleaning the rooms, or the hotel management are not providing the stock necessary to replenish used items. The breakfast was very good, and the staff were very helpful. Tash made time to talk with us from the kitchen, and passed on our thanks to her team.

Great stay in Brentwood for a local family celebration. Comfortable room with kids bed already made up when we arrived. Tasha the chef made delicious pancakes especially for our daughter and brought them to the table and made a lovely fuss of her.

Stayed here for my 21st birthday and the staff were nothing but lovely! Offering me prosecco and making sure I had a lovely day! The room was slightly disappointing due to a chip in the TV and the shower not being great however, I still had the best 21st because of the staff members here! Thank you!

Another disappointment service at this place. I went to a work meeting . Staff is always looking very confused, and nobody knows what they are doing. I don't blame staff but management . Maybe extra training would help everyone.

Another very comfortable stay. Our room was excellent, refurbished since our last stay, good daily cleaning. Staff very friendly, helpful and attentive in reception, housekeeping, restaurant and kitchen. Lovely relaxing breakfast, we are always met with a welcoming smile. Food very well cooked and hot, including the specially ordered poached egg on the last day, cooked to perfection. I have enjoyed using the swimming pool, for me an added bonus. When we return in the evening there is a lively buzz in the bar which we like. Safe parking. Location on the M25 / A12 junction is very convenient for our visits to family and onward journey. We shall be back here for our next visit to family. Thank you. Very happy to recommend.

Old style room in desperate need of a revamp. However the service is great especially Tasha in the kitchen. Very attentive and great service with a smile.

We had a few swimming lessons for aur baby there, but we enjoyed the pool and changing area.

I would give more stars for service if I could. The evening service from Praven was excellent, he kept us fed and watered all night. Breakfast service was also fantastic. We are a group of 5, 4 are vegan, 1 with a peanut allergy too. Chef Tasha double checked ingredients to ensure our food met our dietary requirements which was very reassuring. The restaurant was well managed by Lily, thank you for your help. The hotel manager and front desk staff also deserve a mention for managing our requests in a professional and friendly manner. This was an overnight stay before attending a family wedding.
