In terms of grand, historic interior, this is probably the best Wetherspoons we’ve been too. Such a peaceful, calm and special environment. Our family thought the food and service was just as good.

I got a pint of Guinness yesterday and was very disappointed it seemed like there was no gas connected in the cellar, dont they realize or even care that Guinness is an art..there use to be a barman at this establishment called Steve and he even had a video online showing other members of staff how to pour the perfect pint please fix this problem or you will lose your license to sell all Diageo products. This is a picture of a perfect pint and head.

Excellent hotel on the western outskirts of London. Easy to get to off the A40 and parking isn't a problem. Small car park, but plenty of street parking nearby. 15 min stroll to Sudbury Hill Underground station. £6 taxi fare. Journey to Green Park takes just 35 mins. We went to the O2 Arena (£3.25 each was using Oyster card) journey time was 65 mins. Very nice and helpful staff. Bedrooms are spacious, well equipped and clean. Much better than some 4 star hotels I've been to. Beds were very comfy and bedrooms have got air-con. The pub itself is charming, fairly cheap and we had breakfast and dinner. Reasonable prices, quick service and delicious. Flight of stairs to get to the bedrooms - so perhaps not suitable for disabled guests. Otherwise - fabulous !

I lived in this area a few years ago. Once a month, our family has been going for lunch at this pub. Usually, the food was good. Today we went to the pub after quite a while. We ordered fish and chips and a jacket potato. Both were terrible. fish-like shoe sole. the potato was old. Also, the pub is not clean.

There use to be a video of a barman pouring a beautiful pint of Guinness for Wetherspoon pubs and it was brilliant when you ask for a pint of Guinness now in the Greenwood it's not great, they have not been watching the training video at all, they seem to not care.plus for such a big venue staff always seem to be elusive poor service..I have decided to send Diageo into this establishment undercover so you need to up your game..

I popped into the Greenwood pub for a cheeky pint and was impressed with the prices and even more impressed with the original fixtures & fittings inside this 1930s built pub. Witherspoons have done an impressive job of modernising the decor while retaining so much of the original design.

Terrible service and food. Avoid steak was cold. Drinks was like drinking your own pee. Is not a place to have a nice place to have a dinner. You will be embarrassed.

This was my first visit to The Greenwood Pub, and was very pleasantly surprised by the good level of service and a very decent breakfast. Having the ability to charge my phone at the table, was a real bonus, and greatly appreciated. I know there is an onsite Wetherspoon's hotel, and I'd certainly be very interested to stay there, if I lived further afield. As it is, I will recommend to others, for sure, and will be back to eat there again. Well done to all staff members, seen and unseen.

I visited with my family for lunch. I ordered the jacket potato with Tuna mayo. There was approx one tablesppon of filling and when I spoke to staff about it they said that was correct. They then spoke to the kitchen manager who I later found out had made my meal. His response was that was the correct portion was used and the staff member shrugged his shoulders. Where's the customer service? Since they have re-opened after Covid things have definitely not been the same with the food i.e the large pizza is now the size of the 8" . Very disappointing.

We have wanted to meet up here for a long time, family history 80+ years drinking here. We both had over an hours drive to get here, but it was worth it. The pub is amazing with a lots of original features, separate rooms for a quiet lunch or dinner. The pub has been taken over by JD Wetherspoon, a grade II listed building built in the late 1930’s...Easy to order meals & drinks via their app. Well worth a visit with friendly staff..we as a family will return.

I am a regular here and I find it great value for money. Staff are friendly and any issues are resolved straight away. The food is decent and is appropriate for the money charged. It has a family vibe to it and suitable for kids.

Visited the Greenwood with my parents for lunch earlier today. A nice atmosphere upon entering. Sat away from the main room in a nice quiet side room which was lovely. When ordering the member of staff was super helpful and gave the impression that nothing was to much trouble. Food arrive very quickly and was served to us by the same member of staff that had taken out order (I think he was the assistant manager) again he was super polite as he served the food. We ordered fish and chips and burger and chips twice, all of which hot and tasty. Overall great value for money with superb service! You really can’t argue with that! Recommended!

The greenwood isn't just a pub it's also a hotel, of which I'm told is very comfortable but we only went for a meal and drink. The young attendants are very nice ....friendly, helpful and polite HOWEVER the meat in our mixed grill was very dry and overcooked. We could not distinguish one meat from another. The meal was also just luke warm. We have eaten here numerous times and the food is usually much better so we are assuming the chef was having a bad day!!!!! Prices are very reasonable. My grandson had pizza which was beautiful.

People are sooo helpful and cheerful. Make our visits something to look forward to. Thank you all of you.

Stayed In the hotel while there was a traveller party. The bar staff couldn't cope. Several off the locals were kicking off in relation to the service. I checked the menu in my room and ordered from my table using the app. The food came before my beer and I needed to remind the waitress about it. Ate my food and left. Staff need a bit more experience and training.

Very friendly staff, usual great food and good value beer - October had the added benefit of a "beer festival" with 30 real ales all at £1.99 a pint! Well worth calling in if you are in the area.

Food from the standard Weatherspoons menu is of a good standard and great value. Staff are friendly and helpful . The sprung floor in the main part o the restaurant as you can feel the floor moving if anyone passes by which can be a bit annoying. Otherwise full marks for the rest of the restaurant.

Lovely looking old pub and very well thought out. Great service and breakfasts in the morning but on Thursday evenings and I mean nearly every Thursday (and some other evenings too) you'd struggle for a beer... Regularly you'll hear Doombar please, sorry its off, Abbotts the, thats off too, Pride ? and that as well, what have you got? we have IPA ok we'll have IPA. However, what beer there is, is always good and the pub would be tolerable if it had a few staff, the ones that are there are run off their feet and the management appear too busy or too aloof to help them serve. Don't go there very often now, would rather pay more for better choice and service. Its the nicest Wetherspoons I've been in, but by no means the best... secret shoppers are whats needed here.

A large Wetherspoons pub with charismatic period features and decor. The food is the standard pub grub affair with the addition of thin base Italian style pizza a nice touch, although quality was as you might expect for a pub. Big satisfying portions might lead to a few beer bellies however...

I was stopping in the rooms upstairs and ate my evening meal in the pub downstairs. It was a wednesday so chicken night. I had the half roast chicken with peri peri sauce and chips. At £5.99 including a pint, an absolute bargain. The food was tasty and the drinks were excellent. Would definitely recommend this place. Great food and drink in a lovely building.

Stomach pain and digestive problems every time I eat from there. No idee what they put in that food, looks healthy but it's not healthy at all for you. The staff is horrible overall, you have better chances to win the lottery then get a smile in there. Avoid at all costs!!!

As tourists was a lovely place for lunch, lots of options including veggie and vegan, amazing coffee and yummy abundance selection of cakes. Average prices but wonderfully tasty and well presented and all staff are so lovely and welcoming. The place is so cute aesthetically too. We liked lunch so much we returned the next day for breakfast and tried different options this time! 10/10 would definitely recommend, and would go again if visiting again.

The consistency in the reviews seem to be that the food is good however the staff are very rude. I’m afraid I have to agree. The staff speak to you like they’re doing you a favour by acknowledging your presence. There’s a huge undertone of arrogance and entitlement from when you walk up to the counter. Not a great start to the day. It’s disappointing as it’s a nice place. Won’t be going back.

Went for the eggs royal it was ok however the toast was burnt on one side. The place is dated, the coffee is not great. It’s a functional cafe but if you’re looking for great service and good vibes this place isn’t it.
