Stopped here for a scone and a pot of tea while my wife and son went to the Toy Museum round the corner (also well worth a visit!) it's dog friendly which is good for us. The scone was crispy on the outside, and light and fluffy on the inside, just how I like it. Would have preferred raspberry jam over strawberry, but that's just my preference. Well worth a visit.

The man behind the bar seemed rushed off his feet despite it being quiet. I sat alone eating an alright pizza and he sat a couple tight next to me even though there were plenty of less awkward a spaces for them to sit! It just all felt a bit chaotic and not chilled. Music could be a little loud to cover the quiet.

The greenhouse has a great atmosphere and is super friendly staff! We were welcomed in, and they gave us a table without booking. I love the decor; a greenhouse theme with plans and quirky patterns. The food was a great quality and value, I had a delicious smash burger followed by a sticky toffee pudding, all of which was prepared impeccably. Not only that, the portion sizes were massive, which was great for me cause I'm a hungry boy. Special thanks to Sam, who helped us out on the evening and made us feel at home, a few special requests that he happily helped us out with. Great place to eat, 10 out of 10 would recommend it.

Always a shame that so many places in the UK close early so was delighted to find the Greenhouse still serving after 20.30 We were strolling around the lovely streets of Lynton and fancied an ice cream dessert. Couldn’t find anywhere selling them that was still open so popped in here and asked. Opted for coffee and chocolate brownie. Then suddenly one of the staff appeared, having overheard my request, and presented me and my friend with an ice cream each in a tub. Really nice touch so I thought I’d give them a shout out. Great customer service and delicious ice cream, coffee and brownie!

Good food, very pleasant surroundings & dogs are welcome too. The only criticism we had was that the table top needed a good scrub, my cup stuck to it so when I went to slide the cup across the tea went everywhere! A bit of elbow grease required on the cleaning there. All fine otherwise & we plan to return when we visit Lynton again.

A lovely place to have a break. Managed to get a table outside. We ordered a second drink, it was not busy & upon checking the receipt I was charged double for a coffee. I paid contactless & a second member of the staff came to help with the refund. I was given a paper refund receipt & was told no need for me to show my debit/credit card for the refund. Not sure how long it takes for the refund to be debited as yet not showing on my account after 24 hours. But will check again in a few days.

Called in out of the rain as looked inviting. In brief the coffee was good but the food was poor. We spoke with management who told us that a new menu had been introduced including quiche with coleslaw and the price had been increased. Unfortunately we received a cold quiche without coleslaw which I didn’t enjoy and was charged the new price. Although we were offered a replacement we agreed that any refund could be put in the charity box. Doesn’t score lowest score because the redeeming feature was the coffee which tasted good. Also pleasant atmosphere inside.

Ordered the dish of the day a Spanish potato dish. It arrived with the outside hot and the inside stone cold. The manager came who did not bother to introduce herself and I had to ask who she was. She said we test all our food with a probe. Well this one obviously wasn’t no apology and a look on her face of how dare I question her food I simply requested a refund. As I am obviously disabled she wanted me to go to the till for my refund I declined. It was only when she came back with the change she offered me a scone. Needs to improve her people skills.

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch in this cafe. Beautiful window spot to watch everyone walk by. Clean, tidy and efficient staff. Choose your meal and pay at the till. Waitress service for food. Two perfectly decent toasties with salad and coleslaw on the side and a delicious crab sandwich for the husband. Cold drinks and alcoholic drinks available. Spacious and nice buzz of atmosphere. Perfect stop to rest our feet. Food is reasonably priced given it's a tourist area and it's a good location opposite the top of the slope if you come off the Cliff Railway or walk up from Lynmouth. Service was slick despite it being a busy half term.

Top notch food, if you have the patience to wait to be served. Very poorly managed chippy, with great food. You'll wait to be served after the person in front of you receives their food. This place could make 3x the business if they took your order whilst you're waiting! It was so frustrating, I'd be so disappointed if I were the owner.

We didn't stay here but had an evening meal. It's a quaint little pub that ticks all my old codger boxes. A good choice of ales and wine together with pleasant staff and a friendly atmosphere. What's not to like? Perhaps our meal, which was a bit of a mixed bag. I think their strength is the pizza judging by its popularity. The wife thoroughly enjoyed hers but my chilli con carne was a bit thin and lacked flavour. Not a deal breaker but then my dessert arrived. It was a banoffee 'thing', and all I could do was laugh. Skye, our lovely waitress, was so apologetic for bringing it out. You need to see the photo. Unfortunately it wouldn't give you much faith in the kitchen. Despite this we had a pleasant time and the pooch enjoyed lying in front of the real fire.

This pub is run by an elderly couple who are lovely people, it's a local place for local people in Bickington, N. Devon. It has bags of character but is stuck in the 1970's but is a vibrant eating/drinking venue & I'm sure the locals wouldn't have any other way.
