Went as a couple for an evening meal. Staff were all very friendly. The food was hot and tasty. I would recommend to anyone to try. My only slight criticism would be the menu is a little small.

A very well presented cafe in Lynton, lovely quirky decor. We had lunch, sandwiches, pizza, baked potato and some drinks. The food was delicious (especially the bruschetta) but unfortunately service was slow and as a party of eight, we were all eating at different times. The staff were friendly and accommodating and apologetic when we asked where our food was.

A smallish menu but reasonably priced, food is excellent quality, portions are a good size and very tasty. Can recommend the steaks.

Only stopped for a coffee but we had a warm welcome and enjoyed a couple of well-made cappuccinos. We will be returning for food - the breakfasts looked amazing!

Always a shame that so many places in the UK close early so was delighted to find the Greenhouse still serving after 20.30 We were strolling around the lovely streets of Lynton and fancied an ice cream dessert. Couldn’t find anywhere selling them that was still open so popped in here and asked. Opted for coffee and chocolate brownie. Then suddenly one of the staff appeared, having overheard my request, and presented me and my friend with an ice cream each in a tub. Really nice touch so I thought I’d give them a shout out. Great customer service and delicious ice cream, coffee and brownie!

Good food, very pleasant surroundings & dogs are welcome too. The only criticism we had was that the table top needed a good scrub, my cup stuck to it so when I went to slide the cup across the tea went everywhere! A bit of elbow grease required on the cleaning there. All fine otherwise & we plan to return when we visit Lynton again.

Popped in for a cream tea after a long walk. The fruit scones were the best we had tasted, freshly made that morning by the staff who were friendly and helpful. Totally recommend a visit to this lovely place.

A lovely place to have a break. Managed to get a table outside. We ordered a second drink, it was not busy & upon checking the receipt I was charged double for a coffee. I paid contactless & a second member of the staff came to help with the refund. I was given a paper refund receipt & was told no need for me to show my debit/credit card for the refund. Not sure how long it takes for the refund to be debited as yet not showing on my account after 24 hours. But will check again in a few days.

The Greenhouse has always been a favourite place to come for lunch or a coffee and cake in Lynton over the years and we were not disappointed this time either. The scones we had were exceptional. I haven’t tasted such beautiful homemade scones for years and the new couple running the Greenhouse are providing some lovely food. I can highly recommend it.

Called in out of the rain as looked inviting. In brief the coffee was good but the food was poor. We spoke with management who told us that a new menu had been introduced including quiche with coleslaw and the price had been increased. Unfortunately we received a cold quiche without coleslaw which I didn’t enjoy and was charged the new price. Although we were offered a replacement we agreed that any refund could be put in the charity box. Doesn’t score lowest score because the redeeming feature was the coffee which tasted good. Also pleasant atmosphere inside.

Ordered the dish of the day a Spanish potato dish. It arrived with the outside hot and the inside stone cold. The manager came who did not bother to introduce herself and I had to ask who she was. She said we test all our food with a probe. Well this one obviously wasn’t no apology and a look on her face of how dare I question her food I simply requested a refund. As I am obviously disabled she wanted me to go to the till for my refund I declined. It was only when she came back with the change she offered me a scone. Needs to improve her people skills.

Residents from a North Devon Housing Charity enjoyed a delicious cream tea at the Greenhouse this week. The manager gave us all a warm welcome and let us stay as long as we needed. . There was a range of scones on offer and generous portions of cream and jam. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their visit. I would recommend it highly for individuals or small groups.

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch in this cafe. Beautiful window spot to watch everyone walk by. Clean, tidy and efficient staff. Choose your meal and pay at the till. Waitress service for food. Two perfectly decent toasties with salad and coleslaw on the side and a delicious crab sandwich for the husband. Cold drinks and alcoholic drinks available. Spacious and nice buzz of atmosphere. Perfect stop to rest our feet. Food is reasonably priced given it's a tourist area and it's a good location opposite the top of the slope if you come off the Cliff Railway or walk up from Lynmouth. Service was slick despite it being a busy half term.

Visited on Friday 07th October 2022 We took shelter from inclement weather in The Greenhouse Tearoom in Lynton for lunch. Order at the counter and pay in advance rather than table service. Teapots are very small which is disappointing and it felt like the whole cafe in terms of food and crockery is a little bit form over function.

The staff are lovely and all very comfortable but realised there are no prices anywhere. Quite surprised that two drinks and two scones was nearly £16. Would have queried but didn't think of it till after. Cashless is too easy!!

Met by rude staff, tables and floors are messy, most of the food sold out, made do with the sausage rolls in the cabinet (which is fine) but salad had a few sprigs of lettuce on the side. Not like the other photos from others....
