Fantastic food quality. Great prices. Love the modern look. Big tables & large toilets were appreciated. Yummy coffee & pastries. Their sweet waffles are excellent with the salmon & poached egg on top! Wow

Phenomenal Steak! Popped in for a family evening meal, we’d been for brunch before. Everything was super… but the steak was absolute perfection. A beautiful piece of steak to begin with, perfectly cooked, very pink and juicy, with a lovely fresh salad and perfectly cooked crunchy skin on fries… but the SAUCE with the steak… wow, that is some serious chefing. You can tell a lot about a chef by their sauces and this one was really ridiculously great, incredible attention to detail and made so so very well. Some places still buy in sauces ready made! Not here! I really struggle to think where I could have had a better steak anywhere across Cambridge. Plenty of places do a good steak, but this was seriously a couple of notches up.

Whilst up here my friend and I, had some time to kill, so we decided to venture into The Green Room. A very clean and pleasant establishment. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was delicious. Great portion sizes for the reasonable prices. I was amazed to see all the food being cooked in front of us, and what a skill it is. The chefs are truly amazing at what they do. Thank you all for accommodating us.

Amazing breakfast- 2 excellent visits!

I've been four times now and the food has been delicious and the service has been great. We have only had sit down meals, as a vegetarian I was pleased to see that they had lots of options available to me, but they also have options with meat if that's your thing. I plan to go again soon!

We had an excellent brunch on father's day. Couldn't fault it. A particular highlight was our waiter who was really entertaining and great with my 8 year old son. Would highly recommend, food and coffee is amazing!

Nice place to go for brunch, first time for us. Waffles were not my favourite style, but still tasty and nothing was wasted. The salt beef was also very good.

Great coffee and friendly service

This morning we went for a birthday brunch the savoury house waffles were out of this world! Staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful..... Even putting a candle in a cake for me! Cheeky prosecco after finished off a fantastic morning brunch. It's going to be hard not to return too frequently, thankyou Green Room staff!

One of my favourites places in Cambridgeshire. Great decor that invites you in and makes you want to stay a while. Staff are attentive and friendly. And what to say about the food?Literally anything you choose it's absolutely delicious!

Great coffee and fantastic food

Stopped here for a coffee on our journey home from Norfolk - lovely place. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the fruity & dark gluten free flapjack is amazing! There were lots of lovely options on the lunch menu and they catered for dietary requirements. Highly recommend.

I’ve been to the green room twice now. The venue is really funky and cool. Feels like you’re in a posh restaurant in Soho. The staff are all friendly, and welcoming too. But unfortunately the food just doesn’t taste of anything. First time around I had the tacos. They looked beautiful, very Instagramable, much like the restaurant. But unfortunately they had no flavour at all. Then recently a friend wanted to go, so I thought I’d give it another go and choose something else from the menu. I had the asparagus, and my friend had the pasta. Again, both of us were dissatisfied. My dish was more of a side than a main, and had no flavour at all. My friends pasta, was very simple and unimaginative. For what you pay, it’s really not worth the money at all. Unfortunately I won’t be going back. I think as a vegan and vegetarian, somewhere called the ‘green room’ suggests it would be aimed at that diet. But it’s definitely not.

I wasn't comfortable on the green sofa at our table - much too deep for someone small, so no back support during our meal. Food was interesting. The squid was lovely but he tacos were nothing special, in spite of rave reviews elsewhere. I'd go back to try more of the interesting dishes

Excellent breakfast here today - Felt like being on holiday! Great tasting and beautiful bacon roll, sat in the sun ☀️ .. the trimmings in the bun were also very tasty with the bacon. Thank you The Green Room

Perfect place for a good cup of coffee and a delicious bite to eat! Staff are lovely, always greet you with a smile and happy to help. If you know anything about food you can tell straight away that the produce used in all the dishes are of a high quality and cooked by someone who wants to make your belly happy. I class myself as a regular now as I try and go any chance I get but I highly recommend coming here if you're with a friend having a catch up over a drink, having lunch as a family as the staff are great with kids or having a dinner out for a special occasion. Just go and see for yourself, it's yum!

Wonderful! This was my second visit to The Green Room and the second time I left feeling impressed, heart-warmed and happily full! The environment is bright, airy and chilled, yet cosy and welcoming. The service is attentive but not over-bearing. The food and drink is very reasonably priced and AMAZING, both in terms of what’s offered on the menu and the quality of ingredients. This time I had the trout poke bowl and was blown away by the flavours….it tasted even better than it looked - which was no mean feat as it arrived beautifully presented. The selection of cakes was too tempting to resist; I ended up taking a brownie away with me as I was too full to eat it there and then. I love it when I go somewhere where I can ask for a decaf tea with skimmed milk and it doesn’t feel like I’m talking a different language! My friend and I spent over two hours there and were not rushed at all. We didn’t feel like we overstayed our welcome and although it was busy the whole time, the tables are spaced out enough that you’re not too close to other guests. It’s most definitely a gem in the heart of Sawston and well worth a visit. I will certainly be back again, thank you The Green Room team!

Visited on a Saturday morning with two children. Fast service, given the staff were a bit confused amongst themselves a bit. Food was great and enjoyed by all. Will be back.

Delicious food, great variety of vegetarian options

Had a lovely meal here catching up with a large group of friends from across the country. Food was great as were the wine recommendations. Well done and look forward to coming back when we are next in Cambridge.

Very satisfied visiting considering I had low expectations. The beef sandwich was absolutely fantastic. Salted beef just melts in your mouth and very juicy at the same time. It goes very well with mustard and sourdough bread. What a great combination. The pickle was okay but could’ve had more flavour. My partner got pork taco but it was way too oily literally the oil was dripping. The taste was disappointing too. Decent chips with cute jar of ketchup. Got cider and it taste like just water. Hardly any taste. Might visit again for the beef sandwich and the customer service was great too. Many staffs were friendly and kept check things up for us.

We visited The Green Room on Friday evening. What a delight. From the moment we entered we felt we were in for a treat. The quality of the food is outstanding ..... exciting flavours ..... all beautifully presented....and a wonderful variety. The staff who served us were very knowledgeable about the menu including the wines and cocktails. I cannot recommend this Restaurant enough and thank all the staff for making our visit so pleasurable.

Wasn’t given the chance. Dismissive woman on front door didn’t like the look of us so said they were ‘fully booked’….and of course when driving past after our quick lunch at the Greyhound, they were even emptier than before! No need for such prejudice but thanks for doing us the favour.

Four of us visited The Green Room for the first time on Saturday. It only opens in the evening on Fridays and Saturdays, and only from 18.00 - 21.30. You're well advised to book. The venue hasn't been open long, so it's very popular, and was full when we arrived at 19.00. The staff are (I guess) as new as the venue, and there were some mix-ups with our drinks, easily sorted. The food was really great - my cod and beans was wonderful. The portions don't look huge, but they sure fill you up. Price was reasonable and I recommend the place without hesitation. NB.. parking is behind the building, but the first space belongs to Domino's, so go to the space beyond that. And if you go back to your car after dark, have a torch, as the area is unlit, and the ground is very uneven.

Lovely place. Friendly and attentive staff and the food was excellent. Spacious seating area. Really enjoyed our time there and will certainly be back again soon.

Best Chicken sandwich ever! Fantastic food.

Fantastic service and absolutely gorgeous food! I visited for a green tea & bacon sandwich and loved them both! Their bacon sandwiches have a… twist… but it’s definitely one to try out, as it was definitely the best bacon sandwich I have had! Cannot wait to go back for some tapas in the evening or cocktails with friends!

Cracking much needed new establishment in Sawston. Food and coffee was great and the atmosphere was very chilled and relaxing. Staff were all very welcoming.

We had an outstanding meal here. The menu was very interesting with great vegetarian options too. The food perfectly cooked. There’s a great drinks selection and the service was excellent. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful. The setting itself is really stylish and well laid out with plenty of space in these Covid times. A very welcome addition to Sawston which has been seriously lacking to the food department for years. Went back for coffee the next day too which was perfectly brewed. Can’t wait for my next visit.

Second visit here, the food is wonderful. Such a relaxed vibe but at the same time a special experience. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The menu has alot to offer and everything we've eaten has been beautifully cooked and presented. Would highly recommend.

Food was top notch and the overall quality of the experience was very high. The brunch menu could perhaps be a bit more varied but maybe understandable for the early days. It is a welcome alternative to more traditional eateries in the area.

Beautiful place decorated with plants and nice lights. Such kind staff that are very helpful. I had a matcha latte and it was hand made by one of the workers. Not only that but they have 50% off on some food. Defo coming here again when I next get a chance.

A long time coming but well worth the wait. Difficult to to categorise but closer to a Bistro than a cafe, which doesn't seem to do it justice. Interior is bright and cheerful with plenty of staff on hand. I like the fact that diners can see their food being prepared in the open kitchen. The portions looked generous. I went for the salt beef sandwich which was outstanding. My wife chose egg benedict with two poached eggs on a bed of smoke salmon and granary bread. We will definitely be back .
