Really nice local pub. Great garden for kids.

Love it here recommend in the summer and the staff is really kind and the food is a recommend

Having viewed a couple of other local venues we booked a private room for our brother's wake. Unlike the other venues, we were immediately made to feel welcome and felt that this venue would suit our needs with it's bright open outlook and level access for elderly guests. A lovely lady went through all the catering options with us, plus extras available. We ordered for 50 guests, even though she felt we'd have too much food. On the day itself there was a good variety of food as promised which was replenished quickly as trays were emptied. Our guests all gave positive feedback and said how much they'd enjoyed the buffet. We took a few leftovers home and left the rest to be enjoyed by regulars in the main bar.

Good old school pub,good for sports,will use more often.

Nice little pub with seafood stall out the front. Didn't eat in there, so I can't comment on the food, but atmosphere was nice

Recently visited for a wake contained in the smaller bar at back and restaurant area. Decent buffet and excellent pints of lager served in ice cold frosted glasses! Staffing was brilliant, friendly and polite. Pub inside could do with a bit of TLC and a toilet revamp. Small car park at front. Seafood stall opens of a weekend.

Service and staff were lovely and welcoming.

Only went there for funeral gathering, laid on a great spread, very helpful and friendly...

Great fun with the family here. Have a fun park for the kids at the rear keeps the 2-6 year olds happy. Food is good and can recommend when it's sunny enough for outdoors. Football on tv inside.

Attended funeral wake with family, the spread that was put on was very sparse considering it cost £300, must confess I expected more. The guineas was cold and served well, the bar staff are convivial and very friendly, the outside area is pleasant. Overall I'd give the pub 6/10. Atmosphere is created by the people in attendance

A nice little pub with ample outside seating, either on the side/back patio or in the garden. There are plenty of tables & a play area at the back of the garden. For those complaining about "families with children not being welcome" - I beg to differ. That is precisely why there is the play area installed in the garden. Mind you, it would be very nice if the parents who do bring their little darlings to the pub actually kept an eye on them instead of letting them run amok amongst the tables and through the pub whilst the grown ups are busy getting their fill of beer/wine/cider. Also, if you desire a more varied/extensive food menu, perhaps you should go to a restaurant 😉

This could be such a good pub… sadly it’s not family friendly. They have a lovely garden here with children’s play area, but it shuts at 4pm, the inside is not great. They do serve food but the hours are very limited. They also do allow children but display signs saying ‘children must be off the premises by 6pm’ so not great if you want to have a meal with the family. Half the pub is arranged as a restaurant which doesn’t seem to get much use. This is the only pub within walking distance for us and we have been here a few times. Unfortunately the service is generally not great. This weekend has been really awful! We visited with 2 other families and moved into the bar later in the afternoon as the weather became too cool for the outside. Unfortunately the children were shouted at by a lady behind the bar. We were then asked to leave by another lady who came to collect our glasses before we were finished. Such a shame because of the lovely garden but not very family friendly. I would avoid this place and go somewhere else or come without children. The pub is usually very quiet and they don’t seem to get much business. Think we are starting to see why!

Nice little pub in Welling, just off the bottom of Shooters Hill. Cozy inside, nice conservatory. Two outside areas and a kids play area. We parked in the cemetery carpark next door. Didn't get a chance to sample the food. Would definitely go there again.

The Green Man put on my mother's wake recently. They were fantastic from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble. Their finger buffet was generous and tasty. Prosecco for a toast easily sorted. The room was perfect for the 30+ guests. and their huge garden and play equipment was fantastic for the little ones. Completely recommend!

We held a "wake" at The Green Man. Staff were really helpful and the food spread we ordered was just right.

Loved this little pub didn't go in there until another local pub closed but will be now making this my local.

A great little pub..lady behind the bar was nice and friendly..and opened up the play area for my grandson. Nice to see a pub family friendly. Due to our local closing nearby this will now be our local. Must try the Sunday roast!

Family birthday meal staff were lovely , starter and desert nice as for the main roast not impressed I'm afraid.Meat was dry and beef and lamb was not off the bone fresh more like processed, veg was all frozen and mushy tasted disgusting .😪 chef needs to cook a roast from fresh and not frozen or processed rubbish , if u have to pay a little more then so be it quality is far better than trying to keep cost down Trying to keep cost down

Nice venue for the family gathering. We saw a well stocked outdoor area with plenty of tables and chairs and also play equipment. Not much parking, but local streets available. My only adverse comment would be the toilets. The cubicles need a deep clean. Not smelly, but drab and layers of grunge on the floor.

Thank you. We held my dads wake in the function room on Wednesday 20th April. The staff were absolutely fantastic. Great food and plenty of it. Drinks and teas kept flowing. We asked for extra bowls of chips and the kitchen brought them out. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you again.

We've been here before and have always sat outside as the kids love playing in the garden at the back. We were passing by a few weekends ago so stopped for a drink. It was cold and windy so we sat in the Saloon bar (entrance to the side) as the main bar was a bit busy. The boss was sat in the corner on the bar counter (not behind the bar) and swore a lot. Every 3rd word was an expletive and the kids had a very visible presence a few feet away in front of the TV screen. Eventually, we moved to the main bar. Noisy but very friendly polite people who even allowed my kids to have the pool table to themselves. I'll think twice before visiting again with kids (which is always) and indoors.

We used the function room for our mum's wake. The room is free, but you pay for food and drink. Very reasonable prices. Really helpful staff. Great little venue.

Nice pub garden but Sunday lunch was very "Microwaved veg" when we went - hopefully they were just having an off day.

A proper old fashioned pub. No food was available in the evenings when we were there but they do pizza, I think in the daytime.

Lovely staff. Spent a couple of hours here and was treated very well. They have a large covered area with a few tables with good spacing, hand sanitation stand and a 1 person-only rule for the bathroom. Will deffinitely return.

Had a great time yesterday. Even though it was cold we were served with a smile. 8ozil burger was delicious and well worth the price.

Always fantastic professional staff. unprecedented situation masks on until you sit down; masks definitely on if you use the toilet, that don't make sense to me (boris) who's policing the toilets in a licenced establishment? when the staff are behind a barrier attempting to run a normal service.

Did Father's Day here 2019 and had a great time, kids loved the garden play, they had owls for them to see and the homemade food was amazing! Kent country pub feel on our doorstep plus the hustle and bustle of a local boozer! Great for food and great for family - staff were awesome too! 5stars!

A lovely twee little pub in the heart of working class plumstead/eltham borders. A beautiful garden with toys for the kids and a huge gazebo with lots of tables. Had a latte and a pot of prawns from the van outside, and sat in the British wind until it got too baltic! Went inside to find a lively kids party was on, all looked like they were having a blast. Managed to wade through the sea of small people to the bar area. A small area with good decor, excellent service and a homely atmosphere. I'm not a big pub person, but I felt comfortable here 😊

Nice traditional pub with a restaurant and a huge beer garden with lots of seats and tables and a playground for younger children. Set in a residential street opposite a large green, so quiet apart from passing traffic.

Can I give it no stars? Pub!!!! This is not a pub, it’s a dirty, out dated hole that’s trying to keep up with other pubs in the area, and the staff are a perfect reflection of that! I’ve lived in welling most of my life and I’ve never encountered such rude, arrogant, sullen faced staff anywhere else in the entire area or anywhere in general actually!! My family and I have tried on many occasions to give this place the benefit of the doubt but every time we go it’s a shock reminder of why we always go to the other better local pubs around! It’s the most expensive pub in the whole area and it’s down right dismal (no matter how much dangerous kids rubbish they put in their muddy garden)! They stop selling food ridiculously early then if you dare to feed your child/toddler something you have bought then you’ll be shouted at and kicked out, no matter how much they are making from you in drinks alone! Trust me as a wife, mother and someone who expects everyday common standards, spend your money in another local pub and save yourself the money and the disappointment of such a badly managed, greedy dive!

We looked online before coming as the menu sounded nice but the menu was completely different when we got there. The garden is nice with lovely trees and children's play items. Our starter was passable, my partners steak and kidney pudding was good, but my burger was disappointing. I have had a better burger from the fun fair at danson park. Needed more onions, burger sauce, and a bit of cheese would be good. There were only two options on the pudding menu which we did not like so we went off to danson mansion for lovely cream tea.

Traditional public house with restaurant to the rear, garden seating for the summer, suffers from small parking area to the front, has parking on public roads around this pub, can be busy as its next to a crematorium and would be used for wakes. Reasonably priced meals with a good selection, well worth a visit would recommend this pub

Appalling service - no staff behind the bar to take food or drinks order as they were out in the car park smoking and on their mobile telephone - we left and found another venue

Its a pub with a great kids garden that serves Pukka Chinese food. Well worth a visit. But the girl with long black hair is very rude didn't say hello didn't say please or Thank you or didn't even smile. Shame as its good for kids and perfect in a summers evening. You just don't look forward to going to the bar. Manners cost nothing.

Very slow to get served in this pub and have often been left standing there for 10 minutes not understanding why it takes so long to get served. Food ok but you often would expect better from a pub in today's world. On the plus side, lovely big garden with plenty of tables. Lots for kids to play with and different size climbing frames for children of different ages.
