The Green Fish Bar in Birmingham

Gutted. This place used to be good but now they are just ripping people off. Just bought a mixed meat and the tray is half empty for £6. What a rip off. Will not be going back.

Food was delicious. Fish had a lot of bones which was my only gripe . Delivery time was a little long , however was within time frame quoted once paid . When looking before ordering it said delivery within 35 mins but after paying it was more like 50 mins .

The chips were dreadful, overcooked dark coloured chips with loads of black hard bits in them. Barely edible and stone cold. Doner meat was dry and cold and the pitta was all split and broken up. Not good at all

The chicken kebab meat was un eatable, burnt black hard nasty.

Honestly these were the worse chips I’ve ever had rock hard with black bits all in, chicken overcooked and dry was literally inedible

The food wasn’t as good as usual especially the chips which were overcooked

food was lovely only thing was the scampi was over cooked and too dry

Food was still hot luckily as it was 20 min late of expected time , food was good and well packaged

The £6 specials was delicious, s/f chicken, nuggets, mix kebab meat. The pineapple fritter was bit soggy.

The food delivered was wrong, when we rang up to speak to the restaurant to resolve this, the staff didn’t want to do anything about it. Also the chips were over cooked and dry (even with salt and vinegar) and the burgers were quite flat 🤷🏼‍♀️

not happy no cabbage in there when I picked it from the order not happy

Never again. Food was delivered late, cold and tasted vile - this was meant to be a treat for family but went in bin. Will have toast instead. Never, ever again from this place.

First time ordering food from here via Uber Eats. Great chip shop, food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Chips were nice and crispy as was the batter on the fish, nice and bubbly/crunchy. The scallop was a bit greasy (BUT that's my personal preference, nothing some kitchen roll couldn't fix). The mixed meat was delicious, particularly the tikka meat as it was not fat filled, which makes a change (I ummed and argghhhhed over ordering it as its become so chewy/fatty in so many chippies now) best tikka meat I've had in along time . Both meals were big portions (other half NEVER finshes a meal but he ate fish and chips AND a saveloy, left NOTHING) Proves the tastiness to me .... Dog loved her sausage and left over meat 😋 .... overall a nice alrounder chip shop (there aren't many left now). Would definitely use again in the future, nicest chip shop in the wider area at the moment (we are B31, have AT LEAST 5 others closer to us) but all have become too greasy.

food was cold and late it was also missing items meaning by the time they were re delivered food was even more cold. no one said sorry and delivery driver was also rude. sadly dont think i will be back as food has gone down hill

ordered a cone of chips and a bag of chips but they were same size. Had a bag the other day so I know these were both cone size today

we ordered haddock and got cod instead we should have had a free jumbo sausage we didn't get that either and we had a donner naan ordered with no salad just garlic mayo it came with salad on so all in all we were disappointed with our last order

5* delivery for being on time , unfortunately only 3* for food as we were a curry sauce missing

Gutted to write this, always really enjoyed the food here & recommended to many people but tonight the kebab meat has clearly been changed, it didn't resemble doner meat at all, me, my partner & son noticed immediately changed in colour, smell, & very rubbery texture, not a nice meat at all. Please, go back to the old meat supplier as never had a bad meal from you until tonight & want to continue to support & order from our local Green chippy, you always gets the orders spot on deliver on time.

Very rare to have a good chippy delivered to the house, this one was spot on. Everything was delicious. As soon as i tried a bite of the battered sausage i knew it would all be good. The mixed kebab meat in paticular was really tasty. Recommend thoroughly. I can never be arsed to leave reviews but I think this place deserves it.

The chips was bad, had to throw some away while I was plating up the dish the I realised the chips it’s self was cold . The fish was oily and not very pleasant to eat, the salad with the kabab was disappointing the cucumber was stale. Don’t recommend this chip shop gone down hill

The lady at the chip shop 6/4/24 was extremely rude and shouted at me. I asked her to wrap my cones up and she rolled her eyes. I then asked for a carrier bag and she got really angry. Shocking service. Beware!

I've had fish, chips and mushy peas from this chippy a couple of times recently and it's exactly what fish and chips should be like. Good size fresh fish and very generous portion chips. I think the negative reviews are just malicious and not honest, which is a shame. I guess they have their reasons but there's nothing wrong with the food, it's top notch.

Fish was mushy no flavour concerned about how it was cooked, chicken tasted rubbery no one wanted to eat it. A lot of wasted food no one was willing to eat a complete waste of money. Was bought as a birthday meal for my son very disappointing and most unhappy with it

Small portion of cold greasy chips and a piece of cod that was undercooked with soft sloppy batter.Will avoid this place as it upset my stomach for the day. Good old English fish and chips are getting hard to find .

Fabulous fish & chips, the best in the area. Haddock is big and the chips are really tasty! I definitely recommend going!

I am not a moaner at all, But never again will i order from there..full on greesy soaked!..the lettuce looked like its been there for a week..meat was rock hard,threw the lot away what a waste of money

Chips were hard and dry - it felt a bit like they had been cooked for ages and had gone stale. The scallop was so greasy, it was dripping in oil. I won’t be ordering again - threw most of it away.

Well the only positive was the delivery driver. The chips were stale and hard. The Donna meat was ok at best. The chicken was dry.

lovely food once again. was shocked at the size of the naan kabab as it was HUGE! only negative for our food was the scallop was very dry and had clearly been sat under the heaters for a while so was not able to eat it. loved how the salad came separate
